This was Absolutely the BEST Deep Dish Pizza Ive ever had! It has everything I didnt know I wanted in deep dish. I seriously could only eat one piece and I was full. The crust was amazing, not soggy one from the Supreme toppings, yet not too hard. The service was amazing also. I really was shocked at how great my experience was, I went with a friend and wasnt even in the mood for Pizza. This is my new favorite place and I will be a regular customer. Try them out, you wont regret it!
Decided to try going somewhere different for pizza tonight. I know that due to the fact we carried out instead of dine in, that it could effect the quality of our items for a decent review. So I was certain to taste the onion rings right there in the parking lot. You know... for the sake of reviews... not that I was hungry...yeah....The onion rings are alright. I really like mine crispy as soon as I take my first bite. Like OVERLY crunchy. These are more of a soft bite with a little crunch. They were cooked well, not overdone and not under cooked. You get quite a bit (as you can see from the pictures) for the basket price!The thin crust was pretty good. (Smaller pizza picture) It had lots of cheese to fulfill the cheesiest of my dreams. If youre looking for paper thin crust, you will not find it here. But it was tasty.The deep dish is all one could hope for if youre having a craving. Make it saucy!!! If you love the saucy pies called pizza, look no further! The bread was cooked thoroughly, but it is in no way, shape or form crunchy. Very SOFT crust. My personal preference is having a bit of a crispy crust. It isnt my favorite but it wasnt BAD by any means.Customer care was excellent. I had to run a quick errand waiting on my food and the cashier that helped me place my order ended up bringing the food right out to me! That really meant a lot to me. Friendly staff, good food. I only give a 3 star due to it not being somewhere I would choose to go back just myself. But with my family, absolutely. Thank you for a good family dinner!

This place is amazing, I dont know why anyone would go anywhere else after eating here! Pizza, Italian beef and those Meatballs! Make their own dough and get their Bread from Chicago daily.
First off Fantastic food. The down side is the service and the staffing. We had went out for dinner, was seated. We hadnt had enough time to look at the menu. We requested a few minutes to decide and our waitress stood there and asked if we were ready. Again we asked for a few minutes to decide.She came back and took our orders, and we requested more ice. They bring out the appitizers, and we requested ice again. Time goes by another waitress walked by and we requested ice for the third time. Our waitress was setting up front playing on here phone this whole time. Our waitress came and told us our dinner should be ready shortly,. One pizza came out and was fixed incorrectly so that was sent back to start all over. Meanwhile we had asked for refills on our drinks. This was the kicker. The waitress picked up our glasses with the inside of the glass! !!! We all looked at each other as,. I didnt see her just put her hands on the inside of our glass. Then to add more when she returned she set two of the glasses down and states,. She might have switched then. Pay attention to what you are doing!!!!.Long story short after that and an hour wait and still no dinner we requested to pay for our drinks and appetizers and leave. The owner got very upset when we offered to pay for what we had eaten and basically said just leave and forgot about it. Its really sad as we had ordered there quite often because the food is great,. But the professionaism with the staff needs some addressing.

Homey little Chicago style pizzaria. I used to live in Chicago and it smelled soooo good when I walked in.🍕🍕 Great dough, sauce, and CHEESE THAT DOES THE STRETCHY THING!! The closest to Chicago pizza (or Miller pizza in Gary) Ive had in Indy, worth the drive. Much better than Giordanos here, they try but just not the same. Dont expect some pretty place that spent their budget on fake Italian decor. They do have Chicago sports decor and isnt fancy, but you wont care about any of that once you get your pizza! again, CHEESE THAT DOES THE STRETCHY THING!!

Ed the local small business owner is what we need more people to be like. I met him today while working South of Chicago Pizza. They have always made one of the best deep dish pizzas around. I love knowing that I am spending my money at a place locally owned. On top of that, some of the best overall top quality pizzas, breadsticks and so many other items are served up here.As a small business owner myself, I understand how hard it is to pay rent, taxes, maintenance and then operating costs. Trust me; its hard and even though there is a misconception that you are rich--your not. I am very appreciative when I see owners working in there own establishments and showing customer appreciation. We know its the customer that helps us get better. I assure you that if Ed was aware that something wasnt right and you were unhappy, he would do whatever possible to make it right. Some just will never provide the chance before they slam a business with a bad review. I will guide and recommend to all who follow my reviews to please when your in this area; give this place a try because youll be shocked at the awesome pizza being served up here. Horrible pizza. Wanted thin crust. Was told no worries. Pizza delivered to senior care facility. Hardly any veggies for a vegetarian pizza. Was hoping that food was good since theyre located so close. Was going to order the beef sandwich (Im fromChicago) Forget it now. Never again!!!

The style for an absolutely wonderful friendly the facility was clean homely and the owners were absolutely awesome theyre very down-to-earth the pizza was delicious we had a wonderful time just chit-chatting food was good service was awesome if anybodys in the area looking for a pizza that will be the place to go!

Ive had their deep dish 14 w/ extra cheese and the Italian beef both is incredible! This is the best Chicago style food south of Indy, dont bother with Portillos. Also dont forget to remind the folks here about Super Bowl 41. Go Colts!
32.00$ for a pizza with sausage; pepperoni; black olives; green peppers; onions. Go to Noble Romans on 135. Great place. Better food. Better prices. Really like the Noble Romans back in my high school days. Never again will I frequent this place.
Outstanding far-south location of underrated local chain. The food is incredible, portions generous, prices fair. The staff is always fast, friendly, and attentive. Deep dish pizza takes a while to cook but thats how it works. Dining room is clean and spacious. Lots of Chicago decorations and sports screens and jazz playing. I personally would have preferred the TV basketball games, plural, have been muted so we could hear the jazz.

No masks used here. They also claim every single employee (ages 18-50) is medically exempt which is clearly bull unless asthma is a requirement for a job here. But I guess that’s possible? What’s the excuse for not wearing gloves though? Are you also medically exempt from wearing gloves? I worked in food service for over a decade and these things don’t go unnoticed and I know for a fact what I couldn’t see is much much worse.

I went online to place a delivery order and put our address in and everything went through fine but there was no place to put in the coupon code we had, so i called to place the order over the phone in hopes that we would be able to give them the coupon code. i’m not sure who i spoke to, but he asked for my delivery address and i gave it to him and he interrupted me and said “what? we don’t deliver that far” without letting me finish my address.. he said “we are in bargersville!” i said “correct, on 135? i am in greenwood” and he said “yes but we don’t deliver on the other side of 31 and rudely hung up? we don’t even live on the other side of 31 from 135. we live on the same side! it’s actually only a 10 minute drive haha.. so i went ahead and placed the order online without the coupon code, and everything went through fine! just thought it was kind of rude customer service but i’m really not going to spend time dwelling on it. just maybe next time, let people explain where they live and enter the delivery address to see if you can or can’t deliver to them.. had i not placed the order online anyways afterwards, you could’ve lost a customer and some money! 🙂ETA: pizza was complete trash. barely any toppings or cheese.. was all tomato sauce. definitely not worth the trouble, price, or time.

Even though they forgot to put my order in and I had to wait an extra 20 minutes for carry out The wait staff was very nice and the atmosphere was one of a locally owned family business which I have a lot of appreciation for. I would highly recommend this place. I got a hot Italian sub and it was above average for the price
We had dinner here a few nights ago, and it was fabulous! We shared the appetizer sampler. The fried beef ravioli and onion rings were our favorites. He had the Italian beef and sausage sandwich. It was HUGE! I had the cheese ravioli and loved it. Of course, I had to try the Tiramisu which was the perfect ending to a great meal. This was my first time here, but it definitely wont be the last! Fantastic food and great service!
The breadsticks were not good at all. They have that very dense, thick texture. The top of them had been soaked in an oily garlic butter that, didnt have a bad flavor, but I couldnt get past the ridiculous denseness of them. When the pizza arrived at the table, it looked like it was gonna be really good. Not the case. The pizza sauce had an overwhelming tomato flavor. The dough was not bad, however, when it started to cool off, it had a gritty texture to it. The service was pretty good and they were very friendly. My overall thoughts are, its not a place that I would return to....
My wife is picky about her sauce. It must be the right taste. So, we go to South of Chicago. Delicious sauce andgenerous toppings. It reheats well, so make sure you get a big one so you can have more later!

Tried your pizza this past weekend. Ordered 2 large pizzas. 1 pepperoni and cheese and 1 deluxe. Topping were Very skimpy and thin. Crust was very flimsy and limp, under baked I feel. For the cost of $50 I expected a much better experience! We love pizza and was hoping for a much better experience. I don’t know if it was a bad night or if this is what your product is ?! But I doubt I will be back.
Delivery was fast and the food was great. Spaghetti and meat balls, spinach tomato bread and pizza! I definitely highly recommend visiting!

Employees are state mandated to wear a mask. I saw 2 employees neither had one on. The food was pretty good. The pizza that my wife ordered was not made correctly. The staff were friendly. We were the only table and it felt like we an inconvenience for the young lady that waited on us. We will not be back unless there are protections for my family in place and executed.4 stars food, 3 stars service, 1 star health concerns.

I was treated horribly here. I went to get a pizza to celebrate my birthday. I was wearing my mask ( a pride mask) and was ignored for 20 minutes. I asked my server to put a mask on and was told “ I don’t have to.” I should have known from the Trump sign in the window that I’d be treated poorly. I had never been here before and I certainly will not be going back. I’d rather burn my money than risk my health.

9 of us drove from shelbyville to try this place last night. We ordered 2 deep dish pizzas 1 supreme and 1 meat lovers. Our supreme pizza was not even cooked all the way. The mushrooms were like they came out of the package. Our pizza was even cold. Almost like they put it in the oven just to melt the cheese. She took the uncooked pizza to make an new one that barley had any toppings. This was an horrible experience for us. In my opinion it was not worth the price. Wish everyone else the best of luck.
Around 6 p.m. seems like we got a leftover pizza the edges was all curled up darker than the bottom some areas were curled up bad. Pepperoni & mushroom was about from the middle about maybe 6 to 7 inch diameter with mushrooms, and then everything on the outside edges and other squares have hardly No mushrooms at all we warm the pizza up a little we got home, and the dough tastes stale so, I dont know if they just gave you (something leftover off the buffet bar) and didnt make a New one and then they closed up later, but was not happy with the the pizza they service was definitely not worth $18.99 for for breadsticks and the pizza take it home .Definitely feels that was not cooked to order....

Just ate there for the first time, definitely not the last. A bit more expensive than other pizzeria in the area, but the deep dish supreme pizza is way more than worth it. Just the right amount of sweetness in the crust, fresh cut veggies, the perfect sauce and the Italian sausage is wonderful. Great service, great food and great place. On a recent trip, I was looking for a decent place for some pizza but didnt want to drive all around town for one of the famous deep dish places. This was in the area and I had heard they were pretty good. I was intending to get a dish deep to get that Chicago feeling, but just decided on a pepperoni and sausage instead. It was really good and the thin crust gave a nice cracker-like taste. Just enough cheese, sauce wasnt over the top, I was very glad to stop by. Service was pretty quick and efficient as well which is expected as it was only 3pm, but I was staving. I would definitely come by here again and partake in some more pizza if Im in the area.
Place was cute and homey, and the staff were quick and attentive. The best though came in 15 minutes time,,,PIZZA!!! Talk of moist, cheesy and tasty. We ordered a large and after 2 slices each we were stuffed and in heaven. Would definitely eat here again and bring some friends.
First time eating here and was very disappointed. Server forgot straws no big deal. Ordered a 14in Chicago-style deep-dish and it came out burnt on the crust all the way around. Pizza was lukewarm at best in the middle. We asked for the server to heat it up and 10 minutes later she brought it back with little to no difference as it was still lukewarm at best. Waited 15 minutes for a beer which she said twice oh I forgot the beer Ill be back and then finally said do you even want it. The owner finally brought the beer no apologies or nothing. He also didnt acknowledge our lukewarm Pizza. After we left I called the owner and told him about our disappointing experience and he seems like he could care less which shouldnt be a surprise after reading the other reviews about the owners attitude. There is a reason that there wasnt another table in this place at 7 p.m. server said shes been there two years but definitely needs to be retrained.
Excellent pizza, great service, good selection of beer. My only knock is that I am a huge Reds fan and this place is riddled with Cubs memorabilia. With that being said I still love this pizza thr best in the Indianapolis and surrounding areas.

The pizza is amazing, no doubt about it. Best deep dish around. The reason I only give it two stars, and why I advise you only eat in/carryout, is that the delivery service is lackluster. I ordered a pizza online at 6:50pm, and was given an arrival time between 7:10pm and 7:50pm. At 8pm I called asking about the status. The woman who answered told me my pizza was ready and whenever their driver returned they would make sure my pizza went out on the next delivery. At 8:30pm I called again, and was told my pizza should be arriving soon. The pizza arrived around 8:40pm, almost a full two hours after ordering.
Overpriced and sub-par food. Went in for the lunch buffet. Thought Id give it a shot. It was nowhere near being worth the $10.50 price tag they slapped on it. The deep dish on the buffet was cold. The other pizza was soggy. The spaghetti in Alfredo sauce, a pathetic attempt at fettuccine Alfredo, looked like it came out of a can and had been left sitting out all day. I took a pass on that. This restaurants cleanliness is also questionable. I picked up a plate from the stack at the buffet and got Alfredo sauce all over my fingers. The plates were nowhere near the pasta. It was disgusting. A $10.50 pizza buffet that wasnt worth a dime. Would have been better off eating at the Chicagos Pizza down the road. I wont be going back, and I certainly wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. You can eat better for less.
Ordered through Grubhub. The estimated time for delivery was 45-55 minutes. The order took nearly 2 hours and 15 minutes for one pizza and sides. I called the restaurant after 1 hour and 55 minutes and the order had not even left yet. The pizza was honestly the worst pizza I have ever had and it was soggy and undercooked. The garlic bread seemed like it had been frozen - thawed out - then put in the box and delivered because it was ice cold and soggy when we got it. The breadsticks were (you guessed it) soggy and tasted stale. I would have left 0 stars if possible. Extremely disappointed to say the least. Honestly, the box the pizza came in would have better flavor and texture than the pizza itself.

After our server picked up a menu from the floor and set it on our table for my son to use, I really considered going next door to get fast food burgers. In hindsight that wouldve been a good idea. Our sandwiches (hot ham & cheese and Italian beef) were not quickly served, and our server seemed inconvenienced by our presence. As I paid our bill, I told my son I didnt think wed be back again. Im certain 3 employees heard me, but none made any effort to retain a customer. There are plenty of other good places with pleasant servers nearby for us next time.
Fantastic deep dish pizza. Im a pepperoni lover, but honestly I can say the cheese is better. Its always a great service staff working as well. Highly recommend to anyone that loves pizzas!
The worst! Went in the for lunch today. Not one other person was in there at the time when we arrived. It took over 45 minutes to get our food! The food was terrible and WAY overpriced. I felt sorry for the young guy serving our table. He was very nice and a good kid. I hope he can quit there and get a job at another place with better service and better food. This was the second time we tried this place out and they have failed. Won’t be going back.
First off,our first time here (My wife and I) it was absolutely amazing. Had a Hawaiian and it was simply amazing. Warm flakey deep crust, tons of thick, great tasting cheese and nice strong sauce. Every individual component was top notch and surprised both my wife and I. Now the 4 star reason, the buffet is a depressing joke. Only room for 6 pizzas out at a time and 4 of them will be thin crust. The of the 2 deep options, it was simple like cheese, or sausage. Only one sausage slice was left and it was cold. 30 minutes later a new pizza was added, a thin crust veggie. So do not do the buffet, but by all means order in or take out their deep dish pizzas, on par with if not better than Giordanos.

If I could give no stars I would. Showed up with my family at 8:15 to enjoy an evening of pizza together. The employees let us walk in, ask about the patio seating, and then sit outside for at least 20 minutes before my mother in law walked inside to ask about menus and drinks that never came, only to be told theyre actually closed at 8pm instead of 10pm. Neither of the 3 employees standing around had the decency or common sense to let us know what was going on. Most rude and inconsiderate customer service weve ever received. Thanks for not supporting your troops and veterans you lazy bums. Ill never come back again. And word to the owner, try and post a response defending your failure staff that you call employees. Save yourself the embarrassment of trying to find an excuse.
Great lunch buffet. Several Chicago style pizzas but several thinner crusts, too. Salad bar and soft drink for a reasonable price. The day I went he also had Italian beef.

Amazing experience. First time there so we ordered an appetizer (meatballs), 2 sandwiches (Cordon Blue and Chicago Dog), a deep dish pizza (10-inch pepperoni) and finished it off with some ‘Chicago Nuggets’. Everything was amazing. Owner came to the table to speak with us after learning it was our first trip.
Their pizza is good...excellent crust but the the sauce is on the tangy side. I would give it higher marks if the portion of the side order was a bit more in size. That is, I ordered a side order of Fried Mushrooms that was priced at $7.99 which I was expecting at least 20 mushrooms or more at that price. Disappointingly, I got about 10 to 12 Fried Mushrooms. The Mushrooms were prepared very nicely...golden brown with an excellent crispness and flavor to them. Their Italian Beef and Sausage combo sandwich is delicious and generously portioned. I highly recommend this very tasty sandwich that came w/ a small container of delicious Aus Jus (sp? In its own juice).

The food was good, the service was not. We ran out of drinks about halfway through eating. Not one time did our server come to check on us, refill drinks, or even bring the check. Another server finally brought us the check. I could see our server in the window reflection standing in the back. I guess most of the business is carry out, so the bad eat in service may not put this place out of business.
I had the Italian beef sandwich and it was awesome. My daughter got the cheese pizza and it looked great too. Attentive staff, good atmosphere. Will be back!
