Its a rarity to find a fire arms store that has figured out how to combine quality products with knowledgeable and courteous staff and still be able to get a good deal, however, Ive stumbled upon that very store when I walked into Atkinson Firearms in Greenwood the other day. There were plenty of trained staff, including Mr. Atkinson himself ready to answer any and all questions I could throw at them. Dont let the size of the storefront fool you because the are plenty of products to chose from in stock and at competitive prices. Atkinson Firearms is so much more than a warm welcoming clean and friendly gun shop, they are friends to the community of Greenwood. Sean, Luke, Joe, Sam and team are polite and extremely knowledgeable. The prices in the shop are always reasonable and the team is willing to work with their customers. I was in the shop for hours my first visit and never did I feel rushed or pushed to buy or leave. They answered every question I had and I had a great time! Atkinson’s Firearms is a true “Mom and Pop shop.” You can come in, take a seat at the table and hangout with the guys. I have been back so many times since. Sean (the owner) and Luke (the manager) are great guys. I know of no other gun shop in the state where you can come in, take a seat at the guest table and hangout with like minded people! (even brewing a cup of coffee! On the house!) If you don’t like this shop then I truly feel sorry for you. These guys are great! Their customer service is second to none! I went into this shop for the first time yesterday. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted immediately by all three working. For a small shop, they have a great selection of items. I was very impressed. The staff was very generous, helpful and respectful. Every question I had was answered with precision. When searching for or buying parts for accuracy, training and EDC, you want to shop where you are going to get the precision to be successful, whether at the range or on a hunt. This shop provides that precision.Another thing I liked with this shop was how they have a section geared toward women. I have been to many shops that have just purses but nothing like this one. They carry a great selection of items outside of just purses. I only buy my firearms from Atkinson, they have the best prices around. I’ve never had an issue buying a gun, and if I needed something specific Shaun would try to find it. All of the guys in there are good people. I honestly just like to stop in and hang out for a bit. There’s no pressure here, and you can’t say that about a lot of other gun shops.

Picked up a used Canik tp9 sfx for a suspiciously low price which anyone whos been to Atkinsons before knows isnt typical of them as they typically are well above msrp. Found out why after looking closer and finding a serious Crack in the internals. They have other used guns in there and have had used sfxs that go for 100 or more more than the 399 I paid. That along with the hesitancy to allow me to field strip the weapon before buying leads me to believe they knew. Now I get to send my gun off for repairs. Real nice. And before you hop on here about why didnt I ask you if youd make it right its because you know you wouldnt. Once you made your sale whatever I find wrong would be on me without a doubt. And hell no you dont have this name in your books its my girlfriends account. My names Mike Ladd. Dont accuse me of false claims a**hole

I selected a Glock. They helped me with the forms to fill out (quick and easy) and talked about how to operate the gun safely. Found out they do classes on gun use and I will be signing up ASAP! Excellent little gun shop. They have a nice selection of new handguns, rifles, and shotguns along with a small but very well priced selection of used/trade in guns. They also have a good selection holsters and accessories that seem geared to modern CCW which is great. I hate when shops only carry universal Uncle Mike’s style holsters that have been around for 100 years and that nobody wants. The three gentleman behind the counter were friendly, funny, professional and helpful. I made my purchase, they ran my background check quickly, I paid with a credit card and left. It was painless. I would recommend this shop to anybody.
