Houser does a great job. They are not marketed to be posh, but.they have a great selection of shoes, marvelous sales and a clean bathroom for customers. They will also check with.their.other stores if a particular size isnt in stock at their store. Friendly service too!!!

Nice shoes just way to expensive when u can get the same stuff or similar at other stores close by. Plus the employees arent friendly or helpful. They just dont like employees should act when your shopping and spending money in a store ya know. This was our 2nd time shopping there and last.

Hubbys favorite boot separated on sole, but they exchanged with an additional payment for his wear. Treated very fair, thank you Houser Shoes. Quality products here. You pay more, but better quality. I have Earth shoes several years old & still comfortable!

Prices werent as advertised and barely any choices for women for HeyDudes.

My experience at the Houser Shoe Store in Kingsport was fabulous. I always have a difficult time finding shoes, short wide foot with a high arch. Bryant spent over an hour with us bringing all different kinds of shoes until we found something that was perfect. Very patient and professional. Thank- You.

After not finding any help at a couple other stores, I ended up and Houser shoes. I was pleasantly surprised by the helpfulness of the workers there. Bill showed me around, and the girl who rang me up were both great. I would recommend this place to anyone.

This is a huge shoe store with lots of choices for women and men( and boys and girls). Seemed like average pricing on most shoes and boots, with some specials. Well organized by brands, if you are looking for a specific brand. I found what I was looking for pretty quickly. Nice find😊.

Im always torn by how to describe this place. It seems like end of run/season shoes make up most of their stock. But its a weird mix - there are a bunch of the cheapest of cheapo brands but then they will have some nice pairs from Taos, Ugg, Frye, Merrill - so its really hit or miss. They frequently run additional discount sales of 30% off your purchase so its worth watching their sale announcements.

THEY TREATED US LIKE THIEVESThe girlfriend and I wanted matching boots. The place I got mine didnt have her size, so we resorted to Houser for her. I was wearing my newly purchased boots because thats just what you do. We proceeded (unaided) to find the boots she needed and then went to the checkout, where things got interesting. The associates were staring at my boots, sent one person to go check boxes while they stalled us at the register, and then even paged what seemed to be the manager to the front and whispered to her behind her hand. We were treated like criminals!If the associates had been attentive as we came in, theyd have noticed my boots. Also, if any of the associates had offered to help us find what we were looking for, theyd have noticed my boots and probably even had a friendly conversation about them. Due to their lack of attention and poor customer service, they were inclined to treat us like we were thieves, and even delay us at the register in an effort to find out if we had stolen my boots or not. To me, this is unacceptable and I will never return.

I love Brooks shoes and they have the best prices on them. I am always greeted when I go in the door. It seems I have had a completely opposite experience with Houser shoes than what has been posted. I have been going there for years and years.

Like a dsw or off Broadway but with less selection, at least for mens anyway. the customer service was fine though. I was greeted by everyone working and was offered assistance multiple times.

Awful, awful staff. Went in there with my boyfriend looking to get him some new boots. There was a man and woman working, that we saw. While my boyfriend was trying on boots the man stood and talked to him the whole time, and the lady followed me around. I thought they were bored, at first, but the lady just kept following me after she stopped talking to me. It was odd. My boyfriend found boots he liked, but wasnt sure he wanted the color they had, so he was going to think about it, while trying on some pants they had. When he came out he put the pants back because they didnt fit and picked up at hat that I had said I liked. He decided to get the boots, but wanted to check out their clearance stuff as well. While we were looking at the clearance rack the old man and another man rushed up to us and told us to get out of the store. We didnt understand at first, but they were accusing us of trying to steal the hat, the hat that was still in my boyfriends hand, not in a pocket, shoved down his pants, or anything else. These men stood there trying to intimidate and humiliate us. My boyfriend is a disabled veteran, who was medically retired, and Im a small female, there was no reason for them to surround us and then literally chase us out of the store, I thought for sure the one guy was going to lay hands on me. We were about to spend at least $140, and were making plans to go back. Im baffled and infuriated by their treatment of us. I have never been treated that way, those people should be ashamed of themselves.

This was my first time shopping there and was very disappointed in the selection they had not much to choose from and it looks like shoes nobody wanted. They had some dress shoes for women but I dont know how much because I was looking for running and walking shoes would not recommend this store for this type of shoes waste of time.

It is Avery large shoe store and when you go in You think they will be all kinds of bargains but you will be wrong because they are about double the price at other stores needless to say they do have very nice selection and they are a few pairs that are pretty close to normal price but over all they are very over priced

Customer service is terrible. I walked into the stored and saw couple of their employees chatting at the register they just ignored me and kept chatting. My wife and I were the only ones in the store. I was shocked that they didnt even offer to help or even smile at us. In this age of consumerism I am surprised at such a poor customer service.
