We purchased Premium Brown Double Ground mulch from Todd and Wes at Southern Mulch and had it delivered. Brandon arrived right on time in the quoted delivery window. The product is excellent. Brandon was an expert, putting the mulch exactly where I asked. We highly recommend Southern Mulch for quality, price and service.

Nice people and very fair prices on mulch and various sizes of river-type rock and riprap. It is a great place to get up to 5 cubic yards of material. They have a nicely arranged yard with their choices of rock and mulch arranged and labeled to help decide what you want. The people in the office are very friendly and knowledgeable about their offering and service. Ive purchased from them several times and would definitely go back for small loads.

Ordered 7yr of their double ground black mulch. When they delivered, I was really surprised to see how small their 7 yards was. Did some research and found that, unlike other places who basically just full up a bucket and what fits goes as a yard, Southern weighs theirs out to a specific weight per a yard. Unfortunately, after spreading the mulch, I realized there were tons of these small rocks mixed in there. Wish I had known that from the beginning, as I would have collected them and taken them back to get my money back based on the weight of rock. Sad because the mulch that I did get, was pretty decent quality. Just shady business to charge by weight and then find a bunch of rock mixed in.

The absolute worst customer service skills on the phone. Wes attempted to insult my intelligence by asking me how I was going to get 2 inch depth with 3-5 inch river stone. Seriously. Hes that dumb. I guess the last few customers he served stood their river rock on their ends. If theyre this dumb on the phone forget about even venturing out to their yard. Go elsewhere.

Some people call the business - I want to publicly apologize to Southern Mulch and its people. We ordered 8 cubic yards of mulch. Delivered on time but to me it seemed less. I called the business and in the heat of the moment I was arrogant. When everything was said and done SOUTHERN MULCH WAS RIGHT AND I WAS WRONG: I received exactly what I paid for, on time - in the end, I am a happy customer.

Great place to buy mulch. Mulch quality is really good. No junk or trash in it like you find in the bagged mulch. I had an 8:30am appointment to deliver mulch to my home and the driver arrived right at 8:30. He even helped me lay out my tarp in my driveway before dumping the mulch. I will never buy bagged mulch again and will buy from Southern Mulch for all future mulching needs.

Bought 1 cubic yard of topsoil and there is so many pieces of glass in it, I now decided I can’t use it for my garden. I have an almost 2 year old that helps me. All I got was literal clay and glass and chunks of sticks. Would’ve rather spent the extra to just get bags, honestly.

I recently purchased 4 tons Crush-n-run to expand my drive way from them. the delivery driver JOE, was a great guy, and even took the time to explain the best way to layout the stone, and how to get it to compact the best. He was able to not only put it where it needed to go, but disperse it so that it took me less than 2 hours of minor shoveling and raking to smooth it all out. I was treated great from the first phone call to the after call to make sure I got everything.Ive found my new supply spot for anything yard or bulk that I might have need for.

Total Destruction: The driver came with my mulch and we agreed where to dump it. She got in her truck and drove to a different part of the yard. When I told her she was going the wrong way, she panicked and spun her wheels into the dirt almost to the axles. Southern sent two pickup trucks to try and pull her out. They made an even bigger mess spinning their wheels. Finally, they called in a big tow truck, the kind used for semis, and that dragged the the big dump truck across the yard. In the process, they cut my underground phone cable. They also did not even deliver the mulch.The Manager from Southern said they would make it right. He came out the following night pushed the larger folds of earth back into the ground, raked a little and sprinkled a little top soil around. He said he would be back to finish. That was almost a month ago and I never heard back from him.I fixed it myself. 6 hours of heavy digging and raking. 6 hours of filling in the mess with 3 cubic yards of top soil ($100). Thats 6,000 lbs. of dirt spread by hand with a shovel and wheelbarrow. 2 hours of seeding a bag of grass seed ($25) and chopped straw ($18). The weather is now too hot for grass seed so I will probably need to reseed in the fall ($43).I have not addressed the phone line because we were planning to cancel our landline. But it will probably need to be repaired at some point.Needless to say, I do not recommend Southern Mulch. The one star is for their ability to inflict such an epic failure on a customer and do almost nothing to follow up. Pictures attached. Enjoy!

Ive gotten mulch, topsoil, granite, and crush and run all from this place. They are easy to talk to and very knowledgeable about the type of projects homeowners do. Dont hesitate to ask them what they think you should do/buy. Prices are hard to beat to.

For the past three years, I have purchased double ground bark mulch. I have been very satisfied with the service and the quality of product. As long as my back holds out, I will continue to go back in subsequent years.

Unfortunately the organic topsoil is not at all what was pictured on their site. What was given was very full of clay and rocks and debris. My husband even took a sample back in and was assured it was the organic topsoil. The picture online shows beautiful dark soil. What we have turned to reddish/brown mud. Even after spending extra money to amend it, gravel and debris still rise to the surface. Apparently they do not even carry the screened topsoil anymore but what we have looks just like the basic topsoil in color and clumpiness.
