Lars always has something great to recommend. Hes knowledgeable in the products, and the shop has a great selection. Its a fun place to hang out, they support both the environment and the community, and Ive never been disappointed there before.

Courteous knowledgeable staff that didnt mind taking a little extra time to check for the availability of specific items from their distributor. I plan on coming back soon

Great selection and staff is suuuper helpful! I went for the first time right after the holidays and you could tell they got cleaned out pretty well, but they still a huge variety. I cant wait to go back and see what its like fully stocked.

Do Not Order a Keg from Jarvis Street! I placed an order and paid for a Keg a week in advance and was told I could pick it up on Sunday any time from 12-6. I go in around 1pm and was told they sold all of the kegs and did not have mine. Got a refund but was not able to find another Keg on short notice. Lady working did not seem very apologetic saying that “I should have come 5 minutes earlier”. Will not be back.

Very inviting atmosphere and now that you’re able to have a pint, it’s a great place to enjoy the latest local, craft NC beer in town. My favorite part is making a mix of six to try new styles and flavors. If you like pinball they have 2 new games to play too!

Great selection for stouts and porters! If I have a beer I want but they don’t have it at the time they will take my request and let me know when they get it in! Good prices for growler fill ups too!

Went for their wine tasting. The guy serving the wine was hilarious and made the experience enjoyable, he also was very knowledgable about the wine he was serving us. We ended up getting a bottle of our favorite and received a discount. The only negative was when we walked in, we werent greeted and it was kind of awkward since we have never been to a wine tasting there before.

You have a great concept, but I would like to give you constructive feedback about your execution. It seems that although you are a “bottle shop” which implies a focus on wine, you do not employ people who are knowledgeable about wine and are not even capable of opening it. Your corkage person (I don’t think we can call them a bartender in this setting and if I did it would make this even worse) could not remove the foil from the bottle I purchased to drink during your event and I had to instruct them on how to screw a corkscrew clockwise into the bottle in order to open it. In all due respect, I would say this person was extremely nice and welcoming but not properlytrained. Again, I think you have a great concept and I can definitely appreciate the fact that you support local lgbt-centric entertainment, but you have such an opportunity to:1. Employ people who are knowledgeable about the products you sale. You can train people to do this!2. If you are going to have an environment that people can open and consume these products you train them how to do so professionally and attentively. I literally had someone yelling at this person because they had their back turned to the bar while they were on their phone.3. If you’re going to allow people to consume what they purchase in your business, the person opening and serving these products should have a pos system at their station in addition to the one register you have now to streamline the process. I literally went to your “bar,” had a conversation with this person to understand what I needed to do, picked a bottle to purchase, got in a long line to pay for it, took it back to the person I initially talked to for them to open it and serve it me. I felt like I was at Walmart!I wish you well and I admire establishments like this, but you have lots of opportunities in staffing to take your service to the level of your appearance. Otherwise, you’re a convenience store!
