Good parts, good service! They used KOOPATZ oil plug gasket to fix the oil leak, fast and economical!

Martin and his crew are awesome. They listened to my concerns and addressed them quickly and accurately. I have taken my vehicle to 3 different shops for the same problem and this shop fixed it on the 1st try. Martin gave me advice on how to care for my vehicle until I could return to fix the remaining issues. This shop is #1 in my book. Honest, friendly and professional service is what they provide.

I had an oil change and state inspection done. It was done one of the last appointments of the day. I was tired wanted to get home. I wake up next morning to a large scratch over the right passenger side of my car just above the tire. Not to mention dirty greasy hand prints all over the car. I took pictures in disbelief that someone could be so careless of someone elses property and expect a pay check for it. Never had anything like this happen and Ive been servicing my cars for over 30 years! The fees for oil change do not make sense either. $49.99 turned into $59.00!

Pulled in from out of town for 29.99 advertised oil change.Was upsold to a 59.99 oil change.No lube service,no checking of tires.Mechanic was on end of shift and when I returned to my hometown I check the oil and it was empty.Crawled underneath and oil pan bolt was loose allowing oil to slowly drip out.Do not go here!!

I went in just to get my brakes changed, but when I came back they took both my rotors off and was trying to get me to replace them I looked and didn’t really need them but let them replace one cause they other one was already new, well once they put them back on I started hear a bad scrubbing noise coming from the one I didn’t let them replace that wasn’t there before, I didn’t bother to go back cause I’m sure they did it on purpose to try to make me spend more money don’t go here

A/c went out on my vehicle Needing discharge hose which has to be ordered thru the dealer. I spoke with Martin & explained I have a new born & really need my ac fixed ASAP he said he will put the order in for the hose & it should be there no later than the end of the week. This was last Thursday. I’ve called multiples times & Martin is constantly telling me he placed the order & the dealership says it’s been shipped but had no eta. It’s a week later & I still have no ac or update so I decided to call the dealer myself to check & was told that Martin never placed the order AT ALL smh so unprofessional & carless why not just be honest & or tell me you can’t or didn’t want to do the work. Do not bring your car to this place I warn you! Especially if you have to deal with MARTIN now when I call Martin picks up the phone & hang up. What a joke

They said that I was going to get my car back on Friday but I had to wait until Monday.

Mechanic left my oil cap off when they returned my car to me. I havent been driving much this week so I smelled a hint of gasoline/exhaust but not enough to raise any flags, but after an hour drive today my car was engulfed in the smell. Thats when I figured it out. I smell like it getting out of my car now even hours after driving, thats how strong the smell is. After vacuuming and cleaning my seats with odor removal, still smells. Who know how long that will take to get out of my car, now Ill smell like car exhaust everywhere I go...

Had a good coupon for an alignment so I thought Id try them out. Made an appointment, showed up ten minutes early, checked in and they said Id get right in. Half an hour later sitting in a lobby with no ac and I look around to see multiple workers are smoking in and around customers cars and not a whole lot of hustle... I asked for my keys and left. Icalled my regular service center nearby and they took care of me right away, the right way. Id rather not go back here.

It was a horrible service. I left my car there around 4 hours and they didnt do anything. At the end i had to bring my car to another place. Dont go there. The guy on the cashier is on the phone all the time and the only thing that he said is we are busy. There are 5 mechanics on the place and they are all talking around and laughing instead or doing any job. I dont recommend it at all

Just contacted this Midas to determine if they will issue a refund on service that was not conducted properly. I had my struts replaced and they failed to install the washers that hold the shock in place. Resulted in me taking the car to an authorized dealer to repair the vehicle. Now i have had to pay twice to have the car repaired. We will see if Midas lives up to their warranty claim.

Everyone was so nice. Let us know what needed to be done and cost before they started. We were very pleased with everything.

I went in for an alignment and inspection on 9/6/18. One of the guys talked me into needing my coolant flush so I got it done. They charged me 30.00 to replace the light around my license plate in order for me to pass inspection. They had my car for about 2 hours and then pulled my car around because they were finished and then realized they hadnt put my car on the machine for inspection. Now Ive only driven my car about 3 times since then and longest distance was to work about 30 miles away. Now my car smells like something is burning when I drive it. I didnt have this problem before I took it to them. Now I have to go somewhere else to find out what the burning smell is. So aggravated and I spent $258.00 for these services. I wont be going back. Stay far away!!!

We took a work vehicle in because it would miss a little at 40 to 45 mph. OBD sensor said it needed plugs and wires. John calls and says it needs $400 more parts making the bill $1091.00. I sent the man that drives the van everyday and its running 10 times worse than before they messed with it!! Either they will fix what they have done or I will see them in court!!! John is a joke when it comes to manager!! I own a business and he doesnt know the meaning of making sure the customer gets what they pay for and are happy when they leave!!! You will fix my vehicle or I will see you in court!!! I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU GO SOMEWHERE ELSE TO HAVE ANYTHING DONE TO YOUR VEHICLE!!!

I dropped my grandchildren off at my daughters home and when I tried to start the car the battery was dead. It was the original battery so 7 years old. I had not had any issues previous.I jump started the car and drove over to the Greenville Midas on Memorial Dr. which is close to my daughters house. I arrived at 5:35pm and shop closes at 6pm. I asked Manager Jonn Pelerine if he could install new battery. He assured me he could. Didnt have the right battery on hand so dispatched a technician to pick one up. 20 minutes later tech returned with battery and installed. Both manager and the technician stayed after closing time to help me out. I am so greatful that I received this awesome service and will recommend and use Jonn and this shop for future needs.

Great service and super friendly! When you let them know youre a student they give you a good student discount! I needed to change one of my tires (because I had a whole in one of them) last week but I also had to get to work and there was no way to get there. I wanted to uber but they actually offered to give me a ride AND also pick me up after my shift and before they close to get my car! They really work with you!

Midas, home is the 1 hour and 20 minute oil change. Went here at 8 am and was the first customer. Took entirely too long, which isn’t surprising given the two cigarette breaks the technician took while servicing my truck. Also, definitely overpriced.

My daughter and a friend visited this location today and they experienced unacceptable and unprofessional behavior from a staff member named Amber. They were talked down upon and they refused to let them drive off the premises and though I am thankful for that, it was unnecessary for them to be threaten and told that the car had to be off their premises by 6 p.m. today or it will be towed. To further add insult to injury, she went in for a front passenger side tire were she was told was unrepairable and they had the audacity to place her spare on the back tire which had no problem and of course was charged. It is insulting that students who are away from home are treated so poorly in a college town!

I went into Midas with a rattling heat shield and they fixed it for me, now my car runs quietly and I feel better driving it around knowing that I do not disturb the quiet with the obnoxious sound of metal on metal. Also they were quick, efficient and helpful. I will continue to go to them for all my automotive needs.

The day I visited I just needed a inspection as well a tire replace.. That didnt happened .i take it was the manager was so busy trying to double charge me and hadnt even service my car..he was going to charge extra bc of my tent. And told me I couldnt past NC inspection with a 🍩 on car all bc I didnt want the tire from him..he keep adding up things until I realize either bc I was a lady or bc I was black.The price he gave for one tire.. It was ridiculous over $100.00 for one tire.. I told him I go elsewhere..i will never go back there..an didnt get a inspection

Customers BEWARE (specially students)Called for an appointment and a price quote which was around $125.00. When I picked up the car, they handed me a $450.00 for the work. Midas did not fix the problem but they change the unneeded parts anyway. Took my car to another PROFESSIONAL mechanic and was amazed of how they missed the problem . As a college student I have a limited budgetand they just took advantage of me. Nothing worse than a DISHONEST auto repairs shop. I told all my friends about it to ensure it does not happen to them as well. I did later hear by many that they are known to be dishonest ! BEWARE

I initially brought my car here because it was running rough and eventually would not start. The guy at the front desk (Daniel) looked under my hood for about 30 seconds and told me I needed a new battery. After providing me with a piss poor diagnostics I was told I owed them about 80 bucks, but since I was a student I received a 50% discount so I ended up paying about 50 bucks (which was not discounted from the price of the battery or labor).The next day my battery was replaced and as I was about to leave the property i noticed my battery light was still on and brought it to their attention. At this point I was informed I needed an alternator which was not brought to my attention during the diagnostics they tried to charge me $80 for. I ended up having to leave my car there a few more days because they had to order the part. After my car was finished I didnt even receive a call that it was ready. I had to call them back.After the repairs my car was fine for about 3 weeks before an electrical fire took place due to the wiring from the alternator. They informed me my car would be repaired free of charge, including body work (the fire caused my hood to melt) and everything should take about a week. Again I had to call them when I felt like my car was done. The receptionist (Jessica) isnt too good at relaying messages and handling information, sweet girl though. Before I could pick up my car I got a call back from them now claiming my car had a computer issue that they could not fix and I would have to get the dealership to take a look at it, again none of this was told to me during my initial diagnostics.The entire time the shop drug their feet about repairs, returning calls and doing what they said they would do. After having my car for an entire month the body work is still not complete and the owner does not seem to show any immediate concern for his customers. I do plan on taking legal actions against them.I would not recommend anyone taking their car here unless they want constant back and forth, shaky communication and unreasonable prices.

They screwed my girlfriend over and theyre lucky I didnt go in with her... she went for a simple oil change and walked away with a $130+ bill!They found two nails in her tire and charged her $20 per nail to remove!! $40 for nail and patch work. 90% of tire shops will do this service for free or for like $5. I know because Ive had to get it done many times before.Then there was a random charge for $8 for extra oil.Then they changed her for some bs corrosion protection service for her less than a year old battery. Seriously? Who needs that service? No body that knows anything about cars.THEN! $20 to change a LICENSE PALTE BULB. That is insanely high and $10 for part $10 for labor. Seriously? $10 for what took maybe 30 seconds to do.If you are female be wary they will prey on any lack of knowledge and charge you (and charge high) for the most meaningless stuff.Do not go here...

Went there to get my oil changed. They damaged my oil pan. And then made me pay for it. I had no choice. Car cant run with a damaged oil pan. Theres a possibility Im taking them to court over this. I didnt break my car.

Worst place ever to take your car they take for ever to do easy stuff and they can’t do simple stuff like an alignment I don’t recommend this place at all they don’t know what part really fit your car they could rather Force it first then known if they actually fit your car

Took my wifes van here for a tune up and they were going to charge me $350.00 for just spark plugs and wires. My wife asked why was it so high they immediately took $100 off (as if they knew they were charging us too much). We would not have had a problem paying the $250, but the tune up only included spark plugs and the wires. So because it didnt sit right with me I just went and got the car before they started working on it. I have taken my vehicle here before with no problem, but I really feel as if we were being over charged. We will not be returning. I will say that they were not rude about it, I believe they knew that we knew we were being over charged for very little work.

Thought I had an appointment to get my brake pads replaced. When I showed up early, they seemed surprised that I had an appointment at all and annoyed at the prospect of doing the job, which should have been the first red flag. I brought my own brake pads and they quoted me $86 for the labor to put them on. When I asked about the student discount I was told about on the phone, they told me that was for parts only and I had brought my own.Went to get something to eat and got a phone call while I was there from Midas saying that one of my calipers was froze up and it would be an extra $200 to replace it. I know calipers are not that expensive and it should not cost anything extra in labor since they already have everything pulled off and would only have to switch out the part. I told them I didnt have an extra $200, and the guy told me on the phone that if I didnt pay to get it done, I would have to get my car towed out of there. Now I was angry and I told him I would be back in 20 minutes and we would talk in person. Meanwhile, I got on the phone and was able to come up with the extra money to fix the problem.When I got there, they had already put my car back together. They put one set of new brake pads on one side, and put the old pads back on the other side. Now it didnt matter if I had come up with the extra money, I was going to have to pay somebody to start from the beginning again, so I decided to take it elsewhere. Midas still charged me full price to do half of a job that was going to have to be done again. They said they should charge me more since it took more time than expected.Now for the strange part. When I was attempting to pay and leave before I got any angrier, the guy wanted me to sign a paper but he held it at waist level on a clipboard and would not let go of it. I wanted to read what I was signing and told the guy several times to let go of it. I thought he didnt want me to read the paper, but instead he accused me of trying to steal his clipboard. With tensions running high, this situation came dangerously close to escalating into a physical altercation with the employee. Finally separated the paper from the clipboard and he clutched that clipboard like it was a security blanket while I read the paper. Truly very strange.In conclusion, took my car around the corner to Mr. Tire and explained to them what had occurred at Midas. They were much friendlier and explained that I could buy a caliper much cheaper myself at the parts store. Then they agreed to replace the brake pad that Midas had neglected and the caliper for $80 (Less than what Midas had quoted to originally do just the pads.)After this experience, not only will I be boycotting all Midas franchise locations nationwide, but I will likely be replacing my own brake pads from now on.

Went there to get my vehicles oil changed/tires rotated and inspected. Made an appointment the day before, and still spent almost an hour and a half there. Only to be told I failed inspection because my serpentine belt was cracked and outer tire rods were worn and my tire could fly off. They offered to fix these two things for $600 and a few more for a grand total of $1300. I declined, and have gotten my car looked at by several others who are knowledgeable, including some who are mechanics. All agreed the belt could stand to be changed, but was nowhere near failing inspection (and is usually not even part of inspection, nor tire rods) and tire rods are perfectly fine. Never again.

I took my car here to get aligned and i went in annoyed because i had just been to walmart to change a tire and it was a whole debacle.The manager, Bob, was very friendly and upfront. He told me my alignment would not have helped my issue because my left and right control arms were loose, he fixed the problem and charged me a reasonable price. I even got $5 off for checking in on facebook. I was there for longer than expected but thats how car work is, you never know what problem youre going to encounter, especially on an old rusted VW. i appreciated the service and honesty.

I came into to midas to get a brake job and when they finshed they vacuumed my car out i think that was really nice of them and they have great customer service i would recommed going there

Very displeased with my recent experience here. Brought my car in 30 days ago to fix all brake issues and today Im still experiencing loud noises when touching the brakes. Took the car in today for them to take care of the issue (again) and the manager informs me today that a part that he repaired out of the goodness of his heart has worn out but didnt find it necessary to tell me 30 days, when I initially brought the car in, that the part could need some attention and be harmful. Now hes telling me my car is unsafe to drive. I have been a customer to this business for years and have NEVER experience such lack or knowledge about their area of profession. My car is still not fixed and I had to pay $20 for them to tell me something they should have told me about 30 days ago. The manager would NOT accept responsibility for not informing me about the part. The part was not listed on my invoice at all! DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE!

3 out of the 4 times Ive been here for oil change/tire rotation theres been an issue. Wont be returning

They fixed a oil change that wasnt done properly for me, and did a full courtesy check on my accord! Gave me a quote on what he cost for new rotors and pads would be, and were very kind and friendly to all customers I saw come in!

OMG!!!!! These guys are great!!! Not only are they professional and fast...they know there stuff. I needed a front end alignment and after cking with others found their price to be astronomically low! Little scary but my finances didnt give me much choice. I go in and the mgr on duty Chris says that in additon to the affordable price he would give me a complete Midas Touch Visual Courtesy Check (diagnostic) at no charge. Yeah right is what i thought. I told him i know he would be coming back with something else for me to spend money on. He sd they would ck yhe axle, rods, joints etc in addition to everything else to make sure the alignment was the real problem. I sd ok. What he did not know is that I just had ball joints replaced, upper and lower and some other stuff. I knew that if he came back with a bad report i was out of there. Also my mechanic told me that the shaking that i was experiencing was possibly from my rotors. Well guess what....the technician Tony and his helper completed the report stating everything good except, you guessed it, rear pads and rotor! Awesome! Super satisfied customer! Take your car to Midas and save yourself money and time! Great service guys!

They need a woman in the place its dusty n needs life

My daughter is a student in Greenville and I live 2 hours away. She had a power steering leak. Midas was able to make an appointment for her, order the part, let me pay with card over the phone, complete the repair. They even sent a guy to help her retrieve the fill cap when she dropped it into the motor area (no extra charge). Could I have saved a little money to get a shade tree guy to change the part?-yes. Could I have saved a little money by ordering the part myself on ebay?-yes. BUT this was the BEST experience I could have asked for to get her car fixed and ease my worries from out of town. Thanks to the staff at Greenville Midas.

I took my car there for a 2nd opinion because I was having ac issues(Big Mistake) They diagnosed my car incorrectly and stated all it needed was an a/c switch. I purchased the part paid them for repair my ac still wasng working so then they said something was wrong with the wiring. The wiring was fixed but then my car wouldnt cause they drained my battery, i had to purchase a new battery now and they gave me the ru around the whole timeLong story short they strung me along and now My car is in worse shape then it was before I brought it to them again. I have had service at other Midas locations but this is by far the worst.

Decided to stop in for an inspection. Took them 2 hours to get it back and another 30 minutes for the inspection. I was told that the pitman arm and idler arm needed to be replaced. Windshield wipers were torn and needed to be replaced and the parking brake was borderline. They told me if I got the other work done that they would let the parking brake slide. I told them to give me a price quote ($606.00) and that I would look into the work involved and parts cost. They immediately tried reworking the numbers and came up with $567.00. I had my vehicle at Aamco for an unknown noise a month earlier and they did not say anything about the steering issues. The steering wheel has no slop in it and the tahoe drives great. So beyond the borderline parking brake issue I decided to go back to Aamco and get a 2nd opinion. Told them the issues that Midas told me were wrong with my vehicle. I even gave them the inspection sheet from Midas. Needless to say they performed an inspection and had no recommendations on anything that needed to be fixed. I double checked when I went to pick the vehicle up. Everything was in working order. It might not be brand new working order but it is safe and that was all that mattered. Midas just tried to rip me off. Luckily I had enough sense to go home do a little research and realize a 2nd opinion was best. I feel bad for people who have no mechanical background and have no choice but to trust the word of the mechanic. I would avoid this place. The only reason I went is because I could grab a bite to each at Tokoyo next door. What a huge mistake that was.

It was trouble they tried to tell me my window tint was to dark it was legal trying to get more money from me

I took my car to Midas with an overheating issue, and an ABS and traction control light on. After over $1,000, 3 days and countless back-and-forth visits NOTHING is fixed. I will never take any car there again! They are extremely rude and dont care if your car is fixed or not as long as they get their money!

Im so angry I dont wont to get into detail...I just recommend NOBODY & I REPEAT NOBODY carry your vehicle here not even for a simple procedure!!!!!!!!! Very, very bad service....You may leave this shop in a worse predicament than when you brought it!!!!!!!! Just take your car to Pughs....P.S. NEVER!!!!!!
