Purchased a new Yukon, a few months ago had a small issue with a wheel lock and tire just a few days ago. Contacted CT sales manager, say no more he was on it from the time I pulled up and stayed on it until I left. CT stayed in constant contact with me throughout the day. He also delivered on every word that we spoke on. CT is an asset to Brown and wood, and I can’t leave out my Salesman Calvin, Great job you two. I will definitely be returning for Future Purchasing. If I could I’d give these guys 6 stars.

Joshua Roberson sold me my first Toyota! He was very honest, direct and was never misleading at all. I dreaded buying cars because of all the bad experiences I have had in the past. Thanks for your honesty. I hope to purchase a new GMC truck as a retirement gift to myself!

Drove from kinston in the early morning to look at a car that was supposed to be in the lot. Couldn’t find it we headed back home. Got an email saying the car was in the back and that we could stop by for a test drive and to look at it. Drove all the way back to the dealership, sat in the parking lot for 25 minutes. Finally got the sales guy outside and he proceeds to tell us that the car can’t be driven right now due to something he didn’t know but we could look at it. Then proceeds to tell me no one knows where the key is. That was a wasted trip.

This dealership is the best in Eastern North Carolina. Every employee is helpful and most pleasant to work with. They are kind and generous. My salesman, Jim Speight is absolutely the best. I have purchased close to a dozen vehicles from him. Me coming back time and time again should tell everyone how much I appreciate what they all do. Thank you Tom Brown and staff.

Thomas, Rob and Mike got me a new GMC truck to my door in less than 24hrs and I’m in upstate NY! Thomas was in constant contact with me throughout the process and continues to answer any questions I have. I highly recommend this crew if you’re looking to get in a new truck. They took my trade in and all! Thanks a lot guys! Easiest transaction I’ve ever had at a dealer. Beat pricing and financing quotes too!

Just got the car, only driven it a couple times. Bought something older but low mileage and good condition. Tim was open to negotiation and it seemed like he fought for us during the negotiation dance. We got the price we needed to in order to buy the same day, and my wife and I are happy.Finance was very skilled in selling techniques, and was a bit aggressive in suggesting the extra warranty, but I think any dealership will do this at the price point and age we were buying the car. We passed on the warranty and are happy with the decision, at least for now.Last thing: I didnt notice, we only got one remote key fob and the other key was no remote. Maybe I should have asked about it but it would have been nice to have this pointed out during the sales process. Hoping theyll hook us up with a second remote key! If they do, Ill definitely change this to 5 star.

The sales manager is intimidated by a woman who is educated and not to be ripped off.60k miles on a 2014 is STANDARD genius. NOT worth an additional 5k.You cost your sales guy a paycheck today.Great manager you are.Calling your customers names is stupid considering commission is how you base your income.THIS SIR IS AGGRESSIVE.If I could give this place ZERO stars I would have. Also, this event happened today. I bought a GMC YUKON. I was looking everywhere for that car with specific features. Dealership was about 2 hours away from home and I ended up getting a good deal for it. I had a couple of issues with the car that needed to be addressed and Duane took care of it until I was satisfied with the repairs. They gave me a loaner car too so I wasn’t out of a vehicle while the repairs were being done. Not a big fan of the salesperson that I ended up with but the managers stepped up to make things right and that’s all that matters. Am very happy with my car.

I stopped in this dealership to look at a CX-5 that I already knew I wanted. Kelvin approached us in the parking lot and immediately took me to look at the cars on the lot. He asked if I wanted him to walk me through the features, which I obviously said yes to. Then I took it for a test drive. No issues so far. When I got back to the dealership Kelvin was inside on his cell phone. Once we finally sat back at the desk he handed me a paper with the MRSP for each trim package I was interested in and told me to call him when I made a decision. After asking multiple times (3 to be exact) for a more detailed quote I left the dealership with next to nothing. Kelvin assured me that they could not give me more exact figures before running a full credit check, even though I somehow walked out of multiple other dealerships with exactly that. After my interaction with the initial salesman I expected the manager to at least introduce themselves however this also did not happen. I went into this experience simply wanting to test drive a car and figure out how much I would potentially pay for it. I left knowing I want the car but will take my business to another dealership that is more grateful for the customers and willing to work with them.

Somehow my review was deleted....but I will keep posting it every day! This was my third purchase from Brown and Wood. The first two went okay but my third was terrible. I purchased a 2016 Tahoe and had it two weeks. It had a loud ticking noise every time I accelerated. It drove terrible. I got 2 GM Mechanics in my area to look at the vehicle and they said something was clearly wrong. When I took it to Brown and Wood to be fixed, of course they said they did not hear the noise. I probably talked to everyone in the dealership. I asked to trade in for a Acadia and I was told it would have to be new so I would not be in the hole. Brown and Wood was going to charge me a ridiculous price to get out of the Tahoe. With my hands tied I tried my luck at Boyd Chevrolet in Emporia. Luckily they gave me a great price for my trade in and got me in a brand new Acadia for 7 thousand dollars cheaper than what Brown and Wood offered AND informed me the Tahoe I purchased from Brown and Wood had been wrecked. I WAS a loyal customer but I will not be returning.

Drove from Havelock to Greenville to look at a car. Drove nice, very clean. Listed price was $7923 and after fees and taxes came out to $8925. Manager wouldnt move on base price, which according to NADA was about $6900.Would not recommend, which is sad because the people there were very nice and polite.

So.. My experience with Brown and Wood Mazda went like this. I went in to look at a new vehicle. I was looking around and not ready to buy. The manager, CT became a bit pushy when I was leaving to go to another dealer. I like Mazda, have had several. I came back and had figured out what I could afford and what I wanted. After many conversations with Josh who was great, I had proposal that I thought would be a pretty good deal, I returned to the dealership. Again, Josh was attentive and charming. He presents the proposal to CT, the manager, CT returns with the deal I had proposed to them, a great deal. I am a nurse and it was 9am and I had worked 3-12hr night shifts in a row. He knew what I wanted, what I could afford. He presented me with the payment I had told him was my max. I signed the paperwork. When I went back in to speak to the financial guy Mica who is also very nice, the terms included 2 more months of payments. I had missed that when CT presented it to me. i should have turned around and walked out, but I had been driving the car for 3 days and was in love with it so I signed the paperwork and left with my new car.I would have felt better about this if the manager had been clear about the extra two payments (900.00). I probably would have done the deal, but now I feel like I was tricked. I got a fair deal, NOT a good deal. I feel like I was duped. Lesson learned? Dont drive the car until the deal is done.. Dont try and buy a car when dead tired... Had I been given the deal I wanted and really needed, it would have been a great deal, I would have given 5 stars. I love my car and I really like these guys, smart and professional, but only 3 stars...

So I called them up with a fairly certain idea of what I wanted. I was looking for a cx-5 with a roof rack and android auto. I go over all the details with the salesman on 2 cars I saw online through their website. Everytime a price offer came I clarified this was with the roof rack and android auto. I was very particular because I was about to drive an hour and a half to the dealer so I made sure it was all clear. They asked for info about my trade in and I gave them every bit of info they asked for. I even clarified about the cosmetic state of my car and that it was in rough condition. The NADA guide for my car in rough condition was showing $4,350 and I had offers from other dealers where they valued it between 4,000 and 5,000. Well we finally agree on a price where they were only giving me $4,000 for my trade in and the price seemed close enough to get me to drive up there. I thought maybe theyll come down a bit to get closer to the nadaguides trade value once Im there at the dealer. But surely, they would at least honor this price they sent me. It was texted to me, a picture of a paper quote with all the figures spelled out but didnt explicitly mention the roof rack or android auto. So I once again clarified this is with the roof rack and android auto, right? and the salesman replied that it was. These were all texts as well... Not phone conversations. So it was enough for me to drive up there. Low and behold I get there and test drive it. They look at my car. And all of a sudden they cant honor the price they showed me. All of a sudden the options werent shown on the quote so they say they never quoted me it with the roof rack or android auto. All of a sudden my car isnt in as good of shape as they thought even though they already looked at the carfax and I told them the condition up front. I was livid. After some back n forth I just asked for my keys and left. Complete waste of time. I cannot stand liars and especially where they jerked around with my time (3 hours driving) the way they did. These guys are snakes and I wouldnt trust them to buy a paper plane from them, let alone something with 4 wheels.

I just purchased a new Mazda CX5 and could not be happier. The sales manager was outstanding, financial manager excellent and all the sales staff helpful, knowledgeable and always professional. I am from NJ and they could learn a lot from how to deal with customers from this dealership. They went out of their way for me. I made contact with other dealers in NC and SC and Brown and Wood gave me the best price, promptly returned my emails and even delivered the car to my home 3 hours away at no extra charge. No other dealer even suggested they would or could do that. Others dealers said they would call me back and did not.The man ( a retired salesman from Brown and Wood) who delivered the car was friendly, knowledgeable and did not leave my home until I was satisfied. Great job! Michael Duke and your staff!!!

A completely horrible experience due to an employee by the name of Eric Birmingham. My wife had her heart set on a vehicle from Brown and Wood and had already dealt with Thomas. She raved about his professionalism and courtesy. However, he was busy and asked Eric to cover for him just long enough for him to finish up another sale. My wife and I test drove the vehicle and returned very happy. There was a plastic trim piece that was not correct on the exterior so we asked the dealership to have it fixed before we agreed to spend somewhere in the ball park of $30,000 with them. They agreed and we went to sign the paperwork. A short while later Eric returns to the showroom and informs me the repair was complete. He asks me to step outside to observe the repair. Upon inspection, which required me to lay down in the hot parking lot because to see what was done you had to see up under the vehicle, someone had just pushed this piece of molded trim back onto a rubber piece that wasn’t even made to secure the molding. It literally took less than a pound of pressure to pop it right back off. Therefore it was never going to stay attached when driving down the road. It was very apparent there were supposed to be two plastic pop rivets on the under side and two screws through it located within the wheel well. I politely asked Eric Birmingham to do me a favor and not insult my intelligence and asked me to inspect the repairs when no repairs were actually completed. I pointed out that there were no plastic pop rivets and a screw missing. At that time, Eric Birmingham got extremely close to me and very aggressively told me I wasn’t going to talk to him that way. I, being completely confused, was then approached and backed into the dealership door. Eric did this by continuing to walk at me while he was within an inch of each other. When I got to the door I opened it continuing to speak with Eric yet he made contact with me with his body and basically forced me inside the door. He then proceeded to knock the can of Coca Cola out of my hand and onto the floor right in front of me. At that time I asked if everyone in there had seen what he did and everybody sort of stood there without saying a word. He then picked up my drink and asked me if I still wanted it. I declined and he went on without offering an apology or another drink. After this incident, he approached my wife and I two more time and spoke completely passed me as if I was not even sitting there in the room. I politely asked him if I could speak with him and he would not even reply or response. If you use this dealership I would recommend not using Eric. If you do and he does not agree with you, he may react in a way that is aggressive and extremely uncivilized!

Honestly Im disgusted by the way this dealership does business. I bought my first new car from this dealership and they completely took advantage. They sold me a car with a bad transmission, thermostat and struts. They have no remorse and care less about what you have going on with the car after they make the sale. The salesman dion sat right beside me while test driving the vehicle and told me that it was because of the kind of vehicle that made the transmission switch gears so ruff. The sales manager ended the conversation by saying can I offer you a free oil change. This dealership has lost my respect and business.
