When Andrew became the new shop manager, quality went downhill at a VERY fast pace. ALL this company is concerned about is output. If you are a customer who uses this shop to manufacture your pants - CHECK YOUR PARTS! As many customers do not have documented inspection available, it us up to the person setting up the job and the single person that does a second check on the part to decide what features on a customers drawing will be checked. I contacted J&B machine after receiving a high stress part for my BMW race car that was poorly welded. J&B was able to reverse engineer the part out of a solid piece of steel and it has performed flawlessly.I used to work with machine shops professionally and was very impressed by the operation when I went to pick up the part. Steven gave me a tour and the shop was clean, the machines were top of the line and the staff was friendly. I know where I will be going for any future needed fab work.

I contacted these guys to have a set of chucks line bored. They looked at them and said for sure, we have been doing that for 30 years and know exactly what we are doing. I left the chucks with them over night. The next day they called and had me pick them up, only charging a generous $225. When I got back to my shop and put the chucks on each was running 20 thou out. Brought them back and asked to see what they did. First thing was the machinists puts my chuck on their lathe by grabbing the od of the handweel on the chuck. For some one who knows what they are doing I was shocked to see that. Left the chucks their one more time explaining it needs to be grabbed off of the inner diameter that is machined true. Went to pick up the chucks the next day and one spun within 4 thou, the other they said 7. After indicitating the chucks on my machine the one read 3 thou out and the other 17 thou out. Today is Monday and I called and spoke with the shop forman joe who tried telling me out of the 20 guys who work their the one that did the job is on vacation and no one else can help me. For a machine shop they gave up real quick on a job they said they can do and left me hanging with a machine that doesnt work. After the last conversation and the poor work they did for me I would absolutely recommend finding a different team to get you precision work done!
