THIS Flour Garden location is definitely better than the Neal Street location. It is cleaner, and more intentionally constituted for customer enjoyment. Pretty sure the food is the same, so its to the ownerships credit that they have mastered consistency, but the employees at this location are typically more pleasant and efficient.I love their vegan soup options, and that they keep frozen soups available to take home. I do wish there were more vegan options - sandwiches, hot food, etc., but until then we always enjoy their bagels with hummus, cucumbers, and tomatoes. They also have a lot of non-mammary milk options, so its a great place for coffee and coffee blends, and their smoothies are amazing! Kids corner is tidy, and the outdoor seating is always well-kept.
Great place to chat with a friend with a coffee or tea. Priced right. Clean with nice bathrooms. Bakery items are also available, but I dont eat cakes and cookies, so I cant really comment on quality. It all looks good. I saw people with light meals. Outside tables and chairs are available as well as inside.
Im used to breackfast at this backery since years but since few month, the pastry they sell is not fresh!! They are selling croissants, french macarrons,... as if they are from the same day but they that are super dry .Thats soo sad because i used to love The flower garden, but them quality pastry is going down and also them service its horrible they get forever to make a coffe and if they say they will bring it at your table it takes soo long and they will forget half of what I order, they dont know what its good quality service!Hope they will solve the problem.
One of my favorite places to eat. So far Ive Loved the authentic caeser dressing, the bagel sandwich, the pastries, the cookies, the juice bar, and had the BEST mocha Ive ever had here. Wonderful everything.
Was very good! Had the Lox on everything bagel. Nice helping of delicious salmon!
Awful awful awful customer service. I bought a cake for 30 dillars and was told icould drop back in to pick it up.when i returned i was told ti get in line behind 5 people when the cake was right thete by her. She never looked up etc. I will never return. I left the cske. They will probly resell ut.
Consistently wonderful food! And a very upbeat and helpful staff. Highly recommend!
The fresh juices here make me happy 🤩 prices are a bit on the higher end yet the food is nice and of good quality. They have nice cakes and cookies, premade sandwiches and build your own sandwich. I think youll enjoy it if you choose to go.
Nice place, a little pricey, but not outrageous
The staff is always so welcoming and helpful! Delicious fresh food and drinks. And the tables out front are a nice option.
Nice selection and quality products
Wonderful breads and delicious baked treats to enjoy along with a variety of coffee ☕ offerings. They are all very friendly and helpful people at Flower Garden.
Fresh juice and French roast with toast. Yum!
Got my mom a birthday cake here and it was great! Highly recommend!
Love this place, really good stuff. I did get a 50% off banana cream pie that definitely didnt agree with my s/os stomach I think it was the frosting/whip cream :/ but everything else has always been delicious and well made!
Great foodKids friendlyGood service
Very yummy as always, clean following the covid rules. All 5 stars for that!
Their bakery goods are the best
Great atmosphere to sit solo or chat with a friend. Great choice of yummy drinks and food. Staff is wonderful!
Generally like this place but prices are really steep for the juice, and the breakfast burrito was quite subpar.
Enjoyed it.
The young men who work here are wonderful. Very sweet, and accommodating. Smiles on their faces and willing to help right up until closing time. Food is AMAZING
Nice place great food
Very disappointed. I got 3 muffins and every one of them was super dry to the point I couldnt eat them without something to drink. I love muffins and get muffins all the time. The first 2 times I got muffins from flour garden I thought maybe I just got there on the wrong day or got a bad batch but this time I got 3 different ones and even the blueberry was super dry and had hardly any blueberries in it. Ill stick to drinks from flour garden now.
I ordered my wedding cake from here a chocolate cake with raspberry and a vanilla with lemon.the cake baker unfortunately gave me chocolate with lemon.... ew and vanilla with raspberry. Disappointed and wont be using this business again.
I asked for a hot chocolate and I received a mocha and it cost me 5+$ whaaa
Ordered a cake for my daughters birthday. Fondant was too thick, cake looked and tasted old. Customer service was great though.
Update from last review, 2 years ago: I will no longer support any business that demands one must wear a mask. Then the employee complained to other employees and other patrons heard about being yelled at about it. I did not get upset with her at all just simply said youve lost my business and left. No yelling. Absolutely done with covid. Although a medical condition was a reason to be exempt. Doesnt matter to these businesses. There are many other businesses in town that do not force one to wear a mask.Good coffee. Was the day after days of PG&E shut off so shelves were pretty bare. Everyone trying to recharge their electronics. Thanks FG!
Over priced and all round overrated.
Bit over priced but the Cappuccino Factory accross the intersection by Rite Aid wasnt open yet 🙄
Gluten free bread, muffins, cookies! Love Flour Garden! Been going for about 15 years and I have always had a good meal or snack. Coffee is great, Juices are so tasty and Soups. Yum yum.
We like the Flour Garden Bakery a lot. Their soups, gluten free breads and pies, and their good coffee and friendly service has had us shopping there for many years. Julie Carville
The Manager at the Flour Garden Bakery on Sutton in the Brunswick Basin could really use some instruction on customer service. The staff needs additional training, as well. I will pick up my next order of bread, and then take my business elsewhere!
Really good coffee. Cute spirit. Easy to wake up and enjoy great food and drinks.
Just found out that same psychopath that owns the Neal St. flour garden owns this one. When I told her my coffee was wrong, she replaced it with one that was overfilled so that it burnt my hand and spilled on car and sweater. She does not belong anywhere near the public!!!!
Good smoothies I love H I tease but I just dont have the money
This place has really gone downhill over the past few years. They need a better service system; the counter is run inefficiently (someone rings you up and then fills your order) and the wait times are very long. The pastries are just OK and no free refills on already expensive coffee.
Sat for 25 minutes this morning waiting for a decalf latte . While I watched people getting served that came in behind me. When I tryed to ask about my drink young lady was more worried about my lack of a mask then my order. Finally just walked out before I started dropping F -bombs.
Always great to get me caffeinated!! Love the Brunswick location.
Ive been enjoying visits to the Flour Garden for several decades. The coffee is strong and tasty, and they serve great snacks...sandwiches, salads, soups, bread, bagels, and a wide selection of scones, cookies, cakes, and pies, all freshly baked. There is also an interesting gift section...cups, teapots, etc.The staff is friendly, and the wifi is free and fast.
Love this place! The garlic bagel with garlic cream cheese is my sons and my favorite thing! Its not for the faint hearted lol. Everything weve had, has been awesome
Locals hangout, with good soups, juices, coffee, tea, yummy baked goods. Gluten free options, special pricing on day old items & 2/$10 frozen soups. Bistro table seating inside and out, some lounge seats.
Croissant was old
Good food and coffee
Company with my girlfriend was great! Soup was sub par. Potato leek soup where the potatoes packed their bags and left the skins.
Great coffee. Nice hangout.
Great food, many tables left dirty
Great place(s). They have some amazing baked goods, they usually have food options for everybody.
They use fresh milled local whole grain flours from Early Bird Farm. They are amazing.
A comfortable, casual spot to meet friends and have a quick bite. Reasonable prices.
Great place to hang out with friends for morning coffee, or get a delicious bagel like the jalapeno cheddar special!
Coffee is great, very friendly staff. 👍
The breakfast selection has something for everyone on the go.
Lots of seating, local, in house baked goods, options in drip coffee. Some coffee shops feel stuck up, this is not one of those places. Its a nice place to let your guard down.
Wonderful local place with fresh baked good. They also have coffee and juice bar.Great place to visit.
A little pricey, but the coffee and pastries are excellent. Employees are very friendly
Fresh baked, artisan, local.
Best bakery in the area. Great juices, great coffee.
Great place for gluten free food!
My personal favorite is the macaroons. Wifi is pretty crummy, nice spot to go an chat. Always has interesting people to meet with.
The blended mochs was delicious with coconut milk and refreshing
Local alternative to Starbucks; pretty much the same, but also different!
Allways a great place to meet friennds!
Wanted to buy one of everything
Wonderful staff quality organic food
Nice food and atmosphere for visiting with friends. The staff are very nice. This one on Brunswick, however, fails miserably as a internet cafe. My hotspot couldnt get on the spot and my computer could not connect to the public WiFi. I will definitely not go there again to try to get something done online. I will go there to meet up worth friends and grab some tummies...
The menu varies, and everything is tasty. Theres a wide assortment of delicious breads, pastries and desserts. Different soups and salads are offered daily, with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. The baristas make excellent hot expresso and cold blended beverages, and theres also a self serve coffee bar. Everything on the juice bar menu is nutricious and delicious - and you can request your own blend. Day old products are offered at a 25% discount, and two day old items at 50% off. These generous specials are very popular with regular customers. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the staff is friendly. Artwork decorates the walls, and the music selection offers something for everyone. Locals and visitors keep coming back for more!
Great people, great Cocoa :) and the pastries are good too!
Good coffee and pastries. Seating area could be nicer.
Great service, yummy food!
Good pastries, and a nice environment. They sell Carolines coffee which is not very good. Service is horrible, and has been consistently horrible for many years. But if you want a place to get a nice bite and a coffee or smoothy drink, and a long sit-down chat with friends, this is a good choice. Plenty of parking. Ignore the meth-heads hanging around.
My favorite coffee shop serving healthier treats organic coffees and teas.
Great place to go for smoothie or coffee.
The Best of all: beautiful setting, cheerful staff, and superlative offerings.
Kate was great took good care of us. Ambiance good mood great will definitely return .
Generally stocked well with quick bakery snack options but I always wish for more Eggless and or vegan options. Pricy but good if youre on the run or meeting a special anyone for chai and a treat.
Was a baker at flour garden for over 6 years. Wow. Dont ever eat the food. 30 pluss year old facility with more health sanitation and safety issues than can be named. I am a professional certified sous chef with the American Culinary Federation and took an oath to serve good clean sanitary food to the public. This facility violates every rule taught by my chefs, one of which was Sarah Lee.Treatment of employees in said facility are less than demeaning, due to NO trained management whatsoever. If you want a mushy apple pie, or a wedding cake disaster this is the place to go. Dont forget to say hello to the back stabbing biker mechanic who runs the so called bakery Matt Renfrew.
Great food and drink, I just wish the service matched the food.
I just made a delivery at the CVS Pharmacy next door and I thought I would go get myself some coffee in the treat I stood around for 5 minutes well other customers got service not one of the servers even acknowledged me I am Puerto Rican and I look for the Rican which is the reason I believe the this place is prejudiced white customers around me andthat came after me got attention and their order taken while I looked like a fool who wasnt welcome.
Very good tasting coffee with a cozy environment. Good service, but closes early.
Great place to get coffee and visit with people
Great baked good and decent gluten free options as well.
Tasty coffee and delicious baked goods. I like it better than Starbucks.
Great coffee and soup.
Delicious selection, welcoming environment and good ambiance.
The bread is outstanding. Great lattes and soups.
Fresh baked and local. Great coffee and fast service
Great place to get a good cup of coffee and work
Awesome sweets, day old stuff tasted a day old. Service was super slow.
Great meeting place for coffee and pastries with friends
Pretty good coffee, bagel was boring and ham and cheese croissant was bland and not even heated.
I bought a salad and I think I overpaid way overpaid for a chief salad and asked for a little more dressing and i was told they dont make it there its delivered from who knows....and no more dressing. I go to Safeway next time
Service is adequate, food is moderately ok.
Best bakery in town 🤩
Bread Is delicious!
