Brought in a lawn mower blade for sharpening. Out the door less than five minutes later with a blade so sharp that it looks like I could shave with it! Five bucks. Thats a bargain and Im a happy customer.

I was very happy with the guy. I called in advance about having them mount 2 tires on the wheels for my riding mower, the price was cheap, and he said if I hurried up there he would get it done quickly, and he did. Thought they were great, and as friendly as anyone.

Terrible service!! I never write reviews but this encounter deserved one...I brought my mower in for a belt repair at the end of last season. They fixed the belt however after about 4 or 5 mows the belt fell off again. I returned the mower and was informing the older man upon return that the belt had already fell off. He decided to take a call during me informing him and threw a ticket on the counter for me to fill out. Instead of listening to his customer he spent multiple minutes on a call and never addressed me again but gave me a return pickup ticket. After getting tired of waiting I decided to leave. I just came to pick up my mower and he wanted to charge me for the belt repair and other unauthorized charges. When I challenged him in regards to why the belt wasnt warranty he angrily raised his voice and told me he had no way of knowing. I let him know if he had the common courtesy to address his customer in front of him he would have known. Also, when I asked him why he performed other repairs without my authorization he once again angrily let me know to never to bring my equipment back to him. I told him I would gladly never take my equipment to him and also ensure other knew about this great experience. He continued to angrily let me know that he has been here for 34 years and didnt care. They even made sure not to help me load my mower in the truck. I love supporting local Grapevine businesses however it is time for Mr. Kurt to hang it up. Too bad you are not allowed to give 0 stars because he would have earned it!

Kurt has managed his store for years. His work is always quality and reasonably priced. If you are OCD you might have an issue with his paper office. He is reliable, direct and honest. Mechelle

I have dealt with Kurt for at least 25 and maybe 30 years. I have always found him to tell it like it is, whether that is what I wanted or not. I respect that he has integrity, is always available to explain my issue and give me a good pick up date whether my equipment was repairable or not. I am an old school person myself and recognize that it is impossible to please arrogant and entitled folks. I applaud him for always being the same genuine person that he has been for the last 25+ years!!!

Kurt is an honest man. The people that complain about horrible customer service need to understand that he is older and very straight forward. If they got to know him, they would see that he’s actually a very nice man and is extremely honest and reasonable. If you want your equipment fixed correctly, take it to him. If you want someone who will shower you with great customer service and then allow a inferior mechanic to throw parts at a problem until they finally replace the right one, then go there. Kurt knows small engines better than anyone and will diagnose the problem correctly the first time.

The owner is so rude! He was told exactly what was needed to be done on the mower when it was brought into the shop - a tune up and change the oil. Nothing more, nothing less. Changed out the choke cable that worked perfectly fine before it was brought in to his shop. Trying to get more money out of me for things that were not needed or broken on the mower. I will NEVER be back! If I could give less then one star, I would! Do not go to him!

Kurt is one of THE most knowledgeable small engine mechanics Ive ever met. He is going to tell you the truth straight up, if youre looking for sugar coating and hand holding go burn your money elsewhere. Kurt is the kind of man you can make a deal with a handshake - one of the last honorable men around. As to the one stars I see for his business, I respectfully disagree with their remarks because, as I said, Kurt is going to give you the truth while hes handling several things simultaneously. Any and all of my small engine repairs are done by DFW Small Engine Center - NO WHERE ELSE gets my money, I want it done right. I work on motorcycles and cars, hands too large for small engines, so as one who is mechanically inclined, I reiterate TAKE YOUR REPAIR TO KURT!!

Kurt and company always willing to help. Over the years I have had to order several replacement parts. Kurt always took the time to look up the part number order it and have it when promised. Great service great knowledge. I have also had the engines on several items serviced. Items were ready when promised for the quoted price..Customer for life

Great customer service and my mower is running like new. I was apprehensive at first due to some of the negative reviews but Kurt the owner is helpful and I will use them again. I paid a fair price and will recommend them Thanks again for fixing my Craftsman mower!

Just a heads up Kurt has been servicing all our Mowers and tractors since 1990 and always been upfront and honest and provided us with great Quality work and service . He has worked on our 1990 Murray Lawn Tractor mower since it was new . We mow 4 acres with it and it’s still a great Mower and probably has 2000 hours and doesn’t miss a beat . He also Services our Honda push Mower and both our John Deere Tractors.He’s been great to both our families and thank goodness for his great shop . He’s a good Boy from Grapevine can’t ask much better than that!The Fulcher’s and The McCollumn’s

This is the best lawn mower shop or small engine shop in this area. I have to drive a hour to go there but well worth it they helped me on spot

Dont like this place at all. They take too long, dont get it fixed right and have to keep bringing back and never get it done right. Sad they are the only repair shop around Grapevine. Dropped off a generator, they fixed one issue that took 6 weeks, got it back and one set of plugs didnt work and the oil sensor wire was still hanging loose and not connected. If you walk in the back you will understand by how unorganized this shop is.

Had to use them for my homedepot warranty. They said they would be out Friday at 10 am to get my mower. They never showed or called. I got a call the next week they couldnt make it out. Really you think? I took my business elsewhere. Then today they call me 2 weeks later, when im not even available, that they were at my home to pick it up. I never set any time to have them try to pick it up again why are they at my house. Its 2 weeks after the fact, you are to late. Will never try to use again.

The owner was extremely rude when I questioned his customer service methods. I was informed I would be contacted if my service was going to cost more than was stated to me when I dropped off my mower. I was not contacted until all the service was completed with a price tag of almost $150 more than I was quoted to begin with. Upon inquiring why I did not receive a call and stating that I could purchase a new mower for the price being quoted, he proceeded to tell me to shut up and if Id quit running my mouth hed apologize for not calling, he then hung up on me, not once but twice. I was completely speechless at the audacity. Being a business owner myself in a service related position, I couldnt imagine even beginning to try speaking to my customers that way. Especially a first time customer! Now that Ive run my lawn mower for the first time since getting it back from the shop, it runs worse that it did when I took it in! I wont be returning!

Prompt fast pickup and service

Ordered a part for my mower the week before I was going to be home and was told it would be in that following Tuesday and they would call me. They did not call when they said they would. When I called them I got an excuse that the order was messed up and had to be reordered and would be in Wednesday. Again did not receive a call the time I was told it would be in. Got a call one hour after that time. When I picked the part up I also needed an extra bolt for the mower and instead of giving me this 2 dollar bolt for all the delays and aggravations they had caused they charged me. Any other good business would have given me this and apologized for the delay and their screw ups but not here. Absolutely will not be doing business with these people ever again!

Took my mower in for self propel issue and 10 day turn around. 2 weeks later, not repaired but non essential parts had been ordered having nothing to do with original issue. Rude, incompetent and dishonest.

Horribly rude man!! I was just calling to ask simple questions to get information. If there was a rating less than one star, thats what he should receive! Terrible excuse for a man! I would never recommend his store to anyone! I could go on........

Horrible customer service. I walked in there to see if they could order a part for my weed eater and to see if they could tune up another, and before the door shut I was told that I couldnt be helped, and there is a 4 week wait if I do want to be helped. Not a single Hey how are you doing or can I help you. I walked out and will not return. Hopefully by never giving them my business or writing this review so others dont make my mistake, it will help resolve their Im overwhelmed rude attitude I encountered.
