I purchased head pins from this company, 500 pins for $64.80. They came today, bent beyond belief. I immediately called the company. The told me there was a disclaimer telling customers that the head pins may come bent. That disclaimer was on the previous page. They informed me that I had to pay the return postage. I had trouble once before with a return. I am a retired executive retailer. This is not the way to do business.

I really do love fire mountain gems. I have ordered from them like 12 times now. I have an Etsy shop where I sell my handmade jewelry, and there are literally always great discounts to take advantage of and theyve really upped their customer service game in the last few months. they also have such a gorgeous selection of jewelry supplies from more affordable things to more high end things. love it highly recommend purchasing from here!

This is my second and last time ordering products from this company. Stones are misrepresented on the site, I’d like to return them but after I pay for shipping both back and forth (by the way their own employees don’t fully disclose the nature of their return policy and are rude on top of it) I would end up losing money to return them. But firemountain gems already knows this. That’s why they have an incredibly archaic, drawn out, and complicated process for the returns. They make more money this way.. Not worth the hassle to deal with this rude company who takes advantage of their customers.

Fire mountain is so easy to order from! Im set to receive my second order today ! The only thing i wish they did was give an idea of what the mystery package beads are. I have ordered bulk packs of gemstones beads and wish i knew for sure what they are! So excited for my next order!

I got my order. Most of it was as ordered but--they switched out the gemstone beads I ordered for two plastic, totally unusable beads. This is not acceptable. I spent $6 for 2 small gemstone beads I didnt get.Update: 8/10/21I upgraded my review by one point. I contacted customer support and they did ship out the beads....also wrong. I got two jasper beads, they were unevenly sized and did not match at all. Larger than the ones I ordered, one grey and one proper red jasper. Now I have to rethink my project to accommodate these two chunky beads, or give up on it entirely.

Customer service has really gone downhill. I have been a devoted customer of this company for many years. When inquiring about an order that is over 10 business days late in shipping out they completely ignored my email. When reaching out via their live chat, they still could not answer my question and just made excuse after excuse about Covid-19 and how overwhelmed they are. I was not even given an option to cancel my order as it has been sitting in the warehouse all this time. I will be taking my business somewhere else as Fire Mountain Gems has become unreliable.

I highly recommend this company. I live in San Antonio, TX and a customer at Michael’s turned me on to their website a couple of weeks ago, and I’m already on my third order. This company is amazing. You can tell they really care about their customers! They put a hand written thank you note in your order, and they add a little a little measuring chart for your beads and your jump rings and things. They have great prices and so many different choices for different jewelry making projects.

Their prices cant be beat but they have to be the absolute worst for slow shipping. They take forever to get orders out. Stopped ordering from them because of it but needed some stringing material, findings, metal beads etc... so gave them another chance. I ordered from Fire Mountain, Lima beads, Dakota Stones, Rishashay and Monster Slayer all on the same day, paying for priority shipping at each vendor. Received all the others within a week while as of today 7 days later Fire mountain has not even shipped my order yet. Never again...im done with them.

I came across Fire Mountain while searching for Swarovski hotfix rhinestones. I was immediately drawn into some outstanding deals on discontinued Swarovski merchandise. I did some research and was a little unsure about purchasing due to a seemingly even balance of positive and negative reviews. However, with the discount prices on some items I was interested in being too good to pass up, I decided to do a small, yet inexpensive bulk order. I received a confirmation email quickly, and shipping information a few days later. (I had anticipated this since I put my order in on a Friday and the website clearly stated they were not filling orders on the weekends.) My order arrived in just under two weeks and I was pleased to see the order fulfilled correctly, included a free gift, a coupon for another purchase, as well as having no issues with billing or quality of the products. I have since made a second small order, which arrived in 7 days and again, no issues the entire process.My only complaints are the high shipping costs, especially for smaller orders and how the 30 piece burr set ordered in the second order was not secure in the case in which it came, so all the burrs were in a disarray and most had come out of the case. Luckily, they package things in closed bags within the padded shipping envelope, so nothing was damaged or missing.The website can seem daunting at first with the large selection and wide array of quantities available for some things, but you can use the extensive filters to narrow down your search. The website also has great resource articles. Anything from how to clean different materials properly, to instructional guidance on project ideas, to reference and comparison charts. A nice feature is being able to save items for later in your shopping cart for expedited access to products youre considering buying.Bottom line, I will use them again in the near future for particular items.

Buyer beware. The return policy is really poor. I bought 50 sterling S clasps and did not see from the photos on the website that the design is seriously flawed. I called customer service and they said they had to pull a sample from stock and validate my claim. I got a call a couple days laer and they disagree with my findings. They said I should just bend the S clasp to free the jump ring, then bend it back so the clasp could close. Really? Each time the wearer has to do this is going to ruin the clasp.

They have a large selection, and pricing is good, but they take forever to fulfill orders, almost an entire week. Then, shipping takes absolutely forever. Itll be almost 3 weeks before I see my order, now I wonder if itll even be delivered at all. Id rather pay a bit more and have my order sooner, or buy from another store entirely that ships faster.

Was given n ancklet and noticed that the hook and eyes were not sterling silver and was told that the buyer was deceived about there purchase when the bought through this company were told they were buying sterling silver and in fact was not and a lie.

I no longer will buy from this company, its takes almost a week to fill your order and they run out of the items before they even start on mine. I want to cancel my order and they told me that they cant cancel it. Thats ok I will have it cancelled and get my money back.

They falsely advertise there products. Silver plated is NOT sterling silver.

Decent merchandise, quality-control problems, large bueaucracy, and tone-deaf customer support. Ive ordered about 8 products from them, and there have been problems with about half of them. Four of these products were shipped in sizes smaller than ordered. One product was shipped with signature required during the pandemic, which even the post office doesnt normally do these days. And dealing with customer support is simply slow and frustrating. I will definitely be looking to other vendors in the future.

I started out loving fire mountain gems.... Until I purchased mica beads; which are very expensive, alongside African bloodstone gemstones. Well upon receiving them I noticed they were painted on and not at all REAL. I reached out with an email to fire mountain and they NEVER replied or acknowledged my email. You can only imagine the disappointment of receiving fake gemstones. So if your looking for REAL Gemstone crystals, you may need to think twice before shopping with them. They may never reply or contact you. Smh...Poor Quality with False advertisement of products.

This was the first time I order through this company. Overall performance: 1. slow shipping 2. ordered Art Clay Silver 10 gram (turned out to be much less clay in gram than advertised on the packet) was a very costly material for what you get (3) $23.29 for 10gm, took a while to arrive to my office. Excited to receive/view the item, opened the small envelope 3x3 manufactured by Art Clay Silver, product of Japan (however the price of the clay is set by Fire Mountain Gems).I am aware how much 10 gram is (2 teaspoon) when I opened the plastic wrapped of clay, knew right then and there; theres no way its 10 gram as advertised on the envelope, the clay was not a chunk of clay as I anticipated, it was a smear of mud like material (and not 2 teaspoon, as should be).Since Ive not started my thumbprint necklace project, and knew the clay dries quickly once exposed to air, quickly put the smear of clay (texture was more like peanut butter) on the teaspoon to measure. As expected, it was barely a teaspoon of clay.Clay $23.29, shipping $5.99 (Oregon to Utah) envelope was super lightweight (postage should have been $1.35 - $1.45 at most), I work for a large corporate company, weve two in-house mail crew, they pick up-sort-add postage to business mail/personal packages so Ive an idea how much postage costs; then $1.81 sales tax = $31.09For a teaspoon metal mud like silver clay, its very pricey.I would not be disappointed, had it measured 2 teaspoon (10 gram) for what I paid. This experience makes me wonder if other craft / supply companies that purchase thru various metal clay manufacturing companies in Japan and/or other countries, truly understand what theyre buying in the market and reselling.I will try other craft supply companies, compare prices. For $31 and barely received a teaspoon of clay immediately concluded my decision to be more cautious in the future what I am buying and if worth my dollars.The name Fire Mountain Gems & Beads sounds impressive, however being my first purchase and experience, I cannot give them a 5 star rating.

My daughter and I stopped in to the take tour and it was great! The friendly, enthusiastic tour guides introduced us to the wonderful world of gems and beads. Now we are making our own lovely, unique jewelry. I am very pleased with my on-line purchases of supplies and a finished one-of-a-kind bracelet. I ordered copper wire. Got aluminum wire with a copper like coating. Ordered poly clay beads in a variety of colors. All of them had off centered holes. Will not order from them again.

ANGRY CUSTOMER!!! All I wanted was to return an item because it was not what I was looking for. I know they dont cover return shipping label fee so either way Id be the one losing money. I called their order phone # to let them know my situation and to clarify on the return process to make it easier for the both of us. Im on the line waiting for 10 MINUTES and I get a lady who says to call again at a different time earliest 7am Pacific time and she doesnt hear me out or anything. I was going to make a $111 (because their prices, shipping, and taxes all make everything so expensive) purchase for 2 pliers but I change my mind. So glad I did not purchase from them before this horrible experience. WILL NEVER BUY FROM THIS BUSINESS EVER AGAIN! Waste my time and their service is dreadful. They make every little thing SO HARD. The peak of their service is pretty packaging. They cant help much after a nice tissue paper.

If you are close to the next discount level, just fill in with $1 or $2 items - the extra savings will more than make up for the cost of the fillers.I just had an amazing shopping experience. I placed a large order late last week. Im working on a web site for a new business, and I realized that there was about a dozen additional items I needed to make some sample products that I am featuring on my site. I contacted them through online chat, and asked if it would be possible to add to the order, which was still pending, or to tack on some items to the shipment of the two items that were backordered. I explained that I wanted to tack on to the additional order to save the shipping, as well as to qualify for the 100+ item discount. The agent explained that she couldnt add anything to the existing order, but that she could definitely extend the highest level discount to my additional items. She also offered to wave the shipping cost, as a one-time courtesy.She also spent about 45 minutes online with me, answering product questions I had. She was even willing to help me find seed beads to match pearls in my order, as I was finding it difficult to do so on the website.Fantastic company - they are definitely my go-to supplier!

Purchased the deluxe cooking Gizmo 11 months ago. I delayed in opening it till this past weekend. I cant make it work. The chuck doesnt tighten. I called just now and spoke to Mindy in customer service to find out if they can help me use it or refund or get me the regular coiling Gizmo. Mindy told me that she could try to ask but could not guarantee an answer and referred me to the online resourse. I already reviewed it and it doesnt tell you what to do when the rubber stopper pops out.Mindy told me that after 90 days there are no returns (not the problem focused solution I was asking for) and she could not guarantee that anyone would call me back to assist.Really disappointed in the problem solving. Likely will shop elsewhere in the future.Update; Linda called me back. FM is sending a replacement at no charge and I amended my rating accordingly.

Good selection but shipping policy is very bad. They wait 5-6 days before they ship an order. This is far longer than other merchants in the same line of business.

I love ordering from Firemountain. If there has ever been a problem with an order they fixed it quickly without a problem. I enjoy using them for my supplies. Their customer service representatives have always been friendly to me. I recommend them highly without reservation.

Very disappointed with the customer service when I called to inquire as to why my standard order had arrived before express order. The finger of blame was directed at everyone but themselves. It was something that could have been easily fixed by simply giving me a small credit for the difference in shipping and an apology, but that didnt happen. Not sure that I will order from this company again. Which is unfortunate, they have a wonderful selection. I just cant accept the fact they arent customer friendly when it comes to a complaint.

We stopped by their physical location hoping that there would be a retail store. There was not. :-( But... they did give my daughter and I a tour of the facility even though it was not normal tour hours. Very friendly people. :-)

Fire Mountain Gems and beads used to be amazing. USED TO HAVE great prices, selection, customer service, shipping prices..... They used to be my main source for materials and supplies for my business. These days HOWEVER, the prices are too high, the quality is horrible, the shipping expensive for large orders, and the most unforgiveable: the beads they send seldom resemble what the webstore picture looks like anymore. I gave them one last chance this past week and ordered some beads that I found through a google search, the beads that arrived looked nothing like the webstore picture. I dont know why I was surprised.... I was one of their platinum customers back in the day for many years, now Ill never order from them again.

Fantastic prices if you buy within the discount break levels (higher discounts if you buy 15+ assorted items, 50+ items, and on). Love the flat shipping rate so even if youve ordered 45 pounds of junk, its still just $5.

I bought two watches, nice design. The batteries of both gave out soon after buying; batteries are not readily available. I bought batteries from FM, but the act of opening the watch broke the watch. I cut my losses at that point and will not be doing business there again.

Received my order from Fire Mountain Gems and Beads today and they screwed it up again. They screw it up with every other order. I used to order thousands of dollars worth of supplies from them, but grew sick with their attitude and turned to alternative suppliers, such as Rio Grande Jewelry Making Supplies. I do not appreciate companies that waste my time. Time is a non-refundable commodity. Every time they screw up, they try to make it look like it was somehow my fault, a typical corporate crap we all try to avoid so much. Sure you might have color blind people who cant tell black from green, although why would you keep them in your warehouse? But not to be able to tell a round from a teardrop?.. Would be funny if it werent so sad. I think its a clear sign that I should never order from them again.
