I was there to clean and inspect my jewelry to stay up to date with my warranty. I haven’t been in since pre covid but Lacey helped me get everything up to date and didn’t charge me for a back piece for one of my diamond earrings that was missing! She was very nice and helpful!
Worst customer service ever. I waited 15 minutes inside the store for anyone to even acknowledge I was there. I had to go up to someone for help and she said she was busy helping someone else. So I waited again, and finally got someone to help me and I needed to pay my bill and then they are saying they cant find any of my information even though my husband has a credit card through them and we bought my weddings bands though Jared. Ridiculous, they should teach their employees to actually welcome their customers rather then have them sit there for 15-20 minutes.
It would be nice if the staff was worried about selling jewelry instead of my interracial marriage. Completely lost a sale when the sales person decided to count my money when I asked for a bigger stone. Disgusting! Well noted to not come in w/ a spouse that happens to be a WM.
Bought a replacement wedding band custom made to my design and turned out well. Also bought other jewelry for my wife and daughters and have been happy.

I have had my wedding/engagement band for 10 1/2 years and when I went in recently for my 6 month warranty inspection they found a cracked diamond and multiple loose diamonds on my engagement band, so they had to keep it overnight to fix. I told them I didnt live in the area and it would be a week until I picked it up, which they said was fine. I also left my wedding band to get polished and refinished. They turned out beautifully and Im so happy to have them back. Thank you!

They did a horrible job on a necklace pendant for my wife. When I went in to discuss options for correcting it, the salesperson, Julia, told me that there was no record of my purchase, therefore, I didnt purchase it there. Essentially calling me a liar. I was able to get a copy of my receipt after calling Jareds customer service. Nora was the agent that helped me with this and she was great. Its a shame I didnt get the same customer service experience in the store with Julia. After calling them back, I spoke with the Store Manager, Mark, and he was understanding and willing to check with the GM, Josh, about making things right. I will never go back to them for anything. Julia was extremely rude and when I called back, she quickly handed me off to Mark b/c she didnt want to hear that she was wrong. Stick with the small mom and pop places.
Sales Associates are always friendly and this is always my go to for jewerly.
All of these stores are absolutely horrible. We have had to come back so many times to have the wifes ring resized due to so many reasons. We drive over and hour to have these cleanings done to keep the warranty. Never again will we be back to buy anything. Save your cash and go to you local jeweler.
The worst quality jewelry Ive ever seen a stone fell out 15 minutes after giving my girlfriend a valentines day gift. When she took it to get repaired they were rude and made her cry. I returned the ring and 5 days later I still dont have my money back
Normally I go to zales for all of my jewelry needs for my fiancé, but since the river town location closed I decided to go to Jared. As soon as I walked in a gentleman opened the door for me and guided me to where to go and said a representative will be right with me. That’s where the best experience for picking out a ring started. I wanted to propose to my gf but wanted a ring in my budget. They were very respectful to my budget and showed me rings that looked very similar to what she wanted. With the help of Amy and Sheri, I was able to pick out the most beautiful ring. I didn’t know what size just I left it small (size 7). She wore it on her pinkie until yesterday when we got it resized. What a smooth process! They look before and after pictures. Even showed us the ring too so we could get a zoomed in view of the ring. Once it was done, same day, we went back in and picked up it up. Even showed Amy snd Sheri the proposal video! Just a great friendly atmosphere for buying jewelry! Will continue to shop here for our jewelry needs! Thanks to the staff at Jared’s!

Julia helped us find the perfect solitaire for my wedding ring at just the right price, and the jewelers were able to change my prongs to fit the new shape in only 48 hours.
I walked in and really had no idea how to describe what I wanted and she worked a miracle. Kayleigh never tried to push anything elaborate or beyond our budget. I gave her very little to work with and she pulled up Pinterest and started showing me rings she thought I was describing to help narrow in on what I was thinking. Very patient and repeatedly said she wanted to make sure I was 100% pleased with the decision. Kayleigh found precisely what I dreamt of and was so perfectly in our budget.

Terribly unprofessional. My fiance went in to get her engagement ring resized due to some COVID weight gain and the woman she worked with was so incredibly rude to her she left crying without getting the ring resized. NEVER GO HERE!
Purchased rings many years ago along with a 6 mth inspection plan. Jareds has been closed for 3 mths becausevof covid.. been watching their website for details on opening. Finally the website changed from temporarily closed to open Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 to 7 pm. I waited a few weeks to go but went on 76/17. Several cares in the parking lot and all guests were standing in line to get in. Strangely tho no one was getting is. Thete was a masked man standing at the door talking to them. So when I got to him I kidded him thata is was nice he was holding the door open for us. He looked at me and said. We are not doing inspections, we arebooen for appointment only at this location for purchases. What? I relied. My comment was you will leur in New customers but you just turned away all these past customers that walked away and will not hinit our our purchase inspections agreements. He looked shocked but said that was correct. Never will I buy another piece of Jewlery from Jareds. No customer service even when you PURCHASE customer agreement inspection package. They just want your money now!!
Purchased a Bulova skeleton watch for around $300 with a warranty. Watch broke brought to store for warranty repair. Was told one time it would be taken fully apart, cleaned, and rebuilt. That was about 2 years ago. Ive gone to the store numerous times. Ive been told multiple deadlines. Went there last week after being told I would have an answer by the end of last month. Still no answer other than I definitely wont be getting my watch back and they dont make it anymore. The manager insinuated it was my fault because I didnt get 2 calls from the a few weeks after I dropped the watch off. Ive bought numerous products from the store and even have their credit card. Very poor customer service. I hope no one else has to use a warranty there.

Got 10k when I was told it was 14k. $2000. Lol. Im going to Amazon. I can get 18k for that price. Didnt help Im slightly color blind. That was my 1st purchase at Jared. And my last. Bringing it back today before there 30 day guarentee. If they honor it.10k is40% pure 18k is 75% pure.
Poor customer service. They told me the ring I bought from them was low end and I should just buy a new one. I ended up contacting the manufacturer myself and got the ring replaced at no charge to me.
We looked at 3 other ring shops and we werent expecting to buy but we found a perfect ring and the sales representatives that helped us were phenomenal and made the experience great.
I brought my engagement ring (not purchased from Jared) in for an inspection and quote for repair. Some of the prongs were loose and catching on things. All the employees were busy when I got in but everyone was pleasant. They were quickly able to tell me what repairs were needed, the cost, financing, etc. The company that made my ring is in Germany so If I sent it back there it would be gone for weeks ( theyre also a pain to deal with...this ring lost a stone within 2weeks of proposal, still has problems when they send it back). The people at Jared said they could be finished as soon as this evening and they charged me 1/3 of what other stores in the area were asking. I couldnt be more pleased.

I am very surprised to see all of the negative reviews here. We have had nothing but good experiences at Jared. Their customer service is always very good, we are greeted almost instantly when we walk in the door, sometimes by 2 or 3 people, and sometimes they even open the door for you if they see you coming. They are quick to offer any assistance they can and have helped us even when they probably shouldnt have.Shortly after we got married, my tungsten wedding band cracked, mainly because it was a little too big, and they replaced it for no charge even though there should have been. They have serviced my watch on multiple occasions, even though I didnt buy it there. We were having some issues with the chain that came with my wifes necklace and they brought out several different options to replace it to make us happy.Again, I am really confused by some of the reviews here because that has never been my experience, even when they are really busy on a weekend, they have been helpful. I always recommend them to others and the vast majority of our jewelry has come from here.

I have been so impressed every time I walk into this store. I have had my engagement ring since December of 2017, and when a small, side diamond fell out, they were able to proactively tell me about some other problems that may arise, as well. I had the extended warranty plan, so they ordered the same Neil Lane ring for me, and had it sized and ready for me within two days (on a Memorial Day week/weekend!). I was obviously worried, but each time I called them or they contacted me, they were patient and understanding with me. I HIGHLY recommend this specific store in the Grand Rapids area. I have very mixed feelings about this jewelry store. Unlike the other reviewers my service was AMAZING. I felt like the people I worked with took a genuine interest in me and making my proposal go smoothly. The cost was reasonable for what I wanted. However, several miscommunications made the process of buying the ring take much longer than expected. I needed a custom ring with specific colors of gemstones, and it took several tries before they were able to get it right. Then again, they were super friendly in fixing the issues and never charged me. One other thing that bothered me was how hard they pushed their service plan. I felt like I was working with a used car salesman!Anyways, overall, not nearly as bad as what the other reviewers have said. Just make sure you are super specific in what you want and dont fall for all the extra charges.

Very poor customer service. I brought my Tag watch in for repair. They had to send it out to get the battery replaced and other mechanical issue fixed. It took six and a half weeks for it to be completed. There was even a mix up for my watch, they called and said it was in and it wasnt my watch. I was the one who had to keep calling and request updates. The answer was for three weeks, It will be here by the end of the week. I finally went in and got the repair number to call Tag and inquire about it myself. The store manager even told me Tag was going to overnight my watch after the watch was done because of the lengthy time frame. Well during my conversation with Tag I asked for the tracking number....it was a two day shipping NOT overnight shipping. The store manager asked what they could do to help make it right, (they did pay for the repair of $175), but I also asked for them to cover the next general maintenance. He said no, we cant do that. Yes you can, you just dont want to. I will never go to this store again. Crap service and you get lied to. I do NOT recommend going to this Jared.
We came to Jared after our wedding to have a family heirloom fixed up to wear as my wedding ring. Come to find out the diamond in my precious ring was actually CZ. Being that that’s such a soft stone and the prongs on the ring needed to be fixed anyway, we started looking at alternate stones to put in so I could wear it everyday as I had hoped while still preserving the appearance of the ring to stay true to my grandmother. Assistant general manager Sandra and her employee Madison were extremely helpful. It was an emotional process to think about doing anything to this ring and these women compassionately helped us for over an hour showing us different options, estimating cost for each, and listening to me go back and forth between opal and white sapphire. They helped me choose the best option for the ring and for everyday wear. I can’t say enough about the level of service that they provided us. On top of that, my ring will be ready in literally 48 hours, so I don’t have to go without my ring for long. I will continue to come back to this store for all of my needs.
I needed to get my ring resized before my wedding. After Kesslers told me 7-10 days, I went to Jared where Sam ensured me he could have it for me by end of day. Sams customer service was wonderful, and the repair team did a beautiful job with ring. I will be going to Jared for any of my other jewelry needs.
Customer service is horrible. When they send jewelry out for repair it takes 7 weeks to get your jewelry back. This is on minor repair to replace princess diamonds. they don’t return phone calls when they say they are.
My fiancé went in to get her ring resized.After talking with them on the phone, they said they could do it. After going in, they took a look at the ring and said they couldn’t do anything because it was moissanite.Really upset that we were misled over the phone and drove all the way out just to be declined.

I purchased a necklace for my Mom less than 3 months ago and the chain broke. This was no bargain bin necklace. It came with a pamphlet warranty, so I thought I was all set. I expected a different experience. I went in there to get it repaired. No customer service, no eye contact at all. I eventually walked up to someone who was too busy doing other paperwork and told her the situation. She was so rude. She disappears for 10 minutes not informing me what was even going on or what she was doing. Then she comes back to tell me it will be $40 to repair it because I did not purchase the extended warranty. What a rip off scam. I got the work done elsewhere, and I wont be back and wont purchase from them again. They wont stand behind their jewelry and there are plenty of other options and places who will for a lifetime free maintenance etc. Rude people, too. Definitely a NO

I went in this past month when they opened up for the day during the week. There was no one else there needing help and I was in and out quick for my ring check in and everyone was friendly.6 month old review:As required for my insurance on my ring I have to go every 6 months. I have been told in the past bring any jewelry to be washed next time you come in. I brought in 3 necklaces which were gifts to me over the past 15 years fromJareds. The agent seemed not impressed to have to clean them asking over and over if they were from the store, even pointing out the collection they are from! She questioned me multiple times if one necklace was real gold after I told her it was, as if though she didnt believe me.While cleaning I heard her and another working making comments about the jewlery. After that coworker walked away her and another talked about how it wasnt a great company to work and complained about the company. She then brought my jewlery back with a smile and said have a nice day. It was an odd and not pleasant experience. Unfortunately over the years this has been the trend of how I have been treated at this store and every time I go in it seems to get worse. Disappointing really. I hope the next time I go in I can update this and say customer service has become more nice.
There are way better jewlery stores out there! Jared is the Walmart of jewelery stores. They spend all their money in advertising and none goes into a great customer experience. From the plastic bus seat couch to the dining room chairs they make you sit in while a salesman trust to make you open a credit card. Oh God I hate the experience at Jareds. Also, trying to get anything fixed after something breaks under warranty is tantamount to pulling teeth with these people. I kid you not we took my fiancees ring in for a bent fork.. they held the ring for 24 hours, cleaned it and didnt even fix what we brought it in for! I deeply regret having purchased my fiancees wedding ring there after visiting stores like Kesslers who provide a laid back and comfortable environment in which a guy can feel good about buying jewelery. They give you a beer when you walk in and let you sit on a comfy couch while they talk to you without treating you like a quick sale or trying to make you open yet another credit card! I thought I hated jewelery stores but it turns out I just hate stuffy car sales people hucking rocks and credit cards at me. After visiting Kesslers I am wanting to buy rings necklaces and all kinds of bling for my girl. I just need to get more money! Now I know I can like the process of jewelery shopping. Thank you Kesslers. Jared, please step up your game or I hope people stop buying from you. Lord knows I will never buy another item from here knowing that there are much better more friendly stores out there. Also 6 oz water bottles and a Keurig? Maybe you should sell costume jewelry.

EXTREMELY disappointed in their service! Bought wedding bands and were initially ok with service even though all the sales lady did was bad mouth the other area Jareds. Upon returning for service to be performed on the bands in preparation for the wedding, the story we were initially told on day of purchase changed, and was then altered by every person we talked to. Hesitantly, I left my band to be serviced, I was promised it would be finished in 2 hours... Wasted two hours in the area only to go back and find the ring was not finished. Told it would be finished in 15 minutes... 30 minutes later we were still waiting for the manager to finish the smoke break (per the customer service rep). Shortly thereafter I was told it wouldnt be completed today and I have to return in 24 hours... Not impressed at all with any part of my experience there today! After my rings are returned I will NOT be returning and I strongly encourage you to get everything in writing if you are brave enough to chance it!
Dont. As if the relentless pushing of their store credit accounts and less than stellar service isnt enough, the quality of workmanship is utterly terrible. My brand new engagement ring had several very obvious problems and they had the nerve to ask me if I had the extended service plan before they would fix their mistakes. When I came in the next day to pick it up they hadnt even fixed the main reason I brought it in. I ended up taking my ring to another jeweler where they were appalled at how many things were wrong with it. Thankfully that jeweler ended up fixing everything for less than what Jared said it would cost to partially fix just one of the problems. I dont intend to set foot in Jared ever again.

Great place to get jewelry
Terrible. Was quoted a price on an engagement ring and much time spent in their store. Paperwork was done, money down. Got a call saying a mistake was made, we cant make the ring for that price, come back in. Find out that new price to make ring is now 3xs original quote. Asked about wholesale price, 2x original quote. Manager did nothing to honor, called Jareds customer service and they wouldnt do anything either to make it right. Had they honored the quote, they would have had customers for life, and pretty sure the annoying commercials could still afford to be overplayed on tv. Avoid this place and support your local jewelers.
Do not get any jewelry fixed here. It is a waste of money. It will break in less than a year and they wont help you.
