Nice indoor market with a variety of food and drink options. I went with the impression that it was all restaurant stalls, but there are a few that are more “grocery store” or “deli counter” vibes. I’m definitely looking forward to go back and try more of the vendors!They have a nice seating area upstairs if you do order food. The greenhouse upstairs was closed for a wedding when I visited, which was a bummer for me but totally understandable because it would be a beautiful venue for a small wedding or event!

What a nice place to visit! i love browsing at the bakery and eating at some of the little restaurants! totally recommend coming here even just to visit.

We love this market, from the restaurants, to the soda shops, wine bar, cheese store, they have everything!! Stay away from that ice cream place, though!! Loves Ice Cream has a big spot for being so awful, I completely avoid that side, unless youre going to Fish Lads, theyre great and always have wonderful service. The owners at the ice cream shop need to lighten up and if they want to be so mean, maybe they should get their own shop for their overpriced junk.

I liked sitting in the upper dining area. Awesome tacos at the taco place. Olive co was super chill and gave samples.

We absolutely love the Downtown Market! Every time we are in town for hockey, it’s our go to spot. Love the fact that their are so many delicious high quality selections. Kids are happy, adults are happy. Staff at all vendors are so helpful and nice. So happy they are open during these crazy times. Masks are required and only the front main entrance is open for entry. It is take away mainly, with small areas only for sit down at the bbq place. I can’t stand fast food and this is such a great option for quick but delicious food. I highly recommend you stop at the fish monger and butcher. Yards of selections, but I will say the NE Clam Chowder is always my favorite!

Theres a Poke bowl place in here. Amazing amazing 👏 absolutely delicious and extremely healthy. So many choices if you like citrus sweet spicy savory literally anything you want. Please check them out! The service is spectacular and they have a lot of cool drinks- a huge selection at that. Its called Pink Tail Poke 😍

Great place for food and shopping! I have been before and will visit again in the future. This is a great place for multiple food options so everybody in your party can get what they want and still eat together. I recommend Fish Lads, but they are on the pricy side. Their Lobster Roll was amazing and worth the $28. The Pho restaurant will be my next visit here.

This place is awesome! Fishlads is excellent. No better seafood in GR. You will pay for it but that comes with fresh seafood. The lobster roll is great too! Not sure how it went from $22 to $34 but I’m sure there’s a reason. Traditional smoked salmon is bomb!

Always a great experience! Love all the different little shops. There is a little bit of everything. Gotta try it if you havent done so yet!

Always such cool restaurants, foods, and cooking items for sale! Raks pad Thai is some of the best in Grand Rapids. Field and Fires bread selection, the various ice cream, cheese, and dessert places, the list goes on. Give it a visit for some awesome places.

Wow!! I have been missing this place out for years. Busy now, but will lots of smiles around. Many shops to look at and do plan a meal here. Plan to look at all of the shops and then buy something you like. They do have seating and small tables outside the main door. Kids do like to see the small water fountain area. Amen.Have to invite a friend to come here with me and to share time together.

Such a neat establishment! Slows BBQ is of the charts good. Martini was a bit small for the price but tasty. All meat is awesome and the market options are beautifully laid out and appealing.worth the parking!

There are so many great things about this venue. I had the Fish and Chips from Fish Lads, so much deliciousness! The displays are just magnificent, and everyone is welcoming and friendly. It is on the pricey side, but you definitely get what you pay for.

This is a great place to visit in Grand Rapids. The people are friendly and the food and drinks are good. The decor is sleek and minimalistic, which reminds me of European design and architecture. We tried Carvers and the coffee/tea shop in the front. Both were excellent.

Love going here. This is a great place for events and a casual Friday night alike. Great food, options for all, its beautiful, and in the perfect location.

Such an awesome place! We loved the sushi marketplace! The woman who took our orders helpfully labeled the boxes as his and hers which was such a cute surprise!

The Downtown Market is part of the experience of coming to Grand Rapids. It started with a vision, and although that has transformed and evolved over the years, they are still trying to bring together local business. This is not an everyday eats type of place - there is high overhead, which means higher prices. However, the businesses inside are driven, efficient and committed to providing excellent quality. The Downtown Market also adheres to strict guidelines for sanitation, safety and cleanliness, which is evident.

Loved every minute of it! Ate a really yummy sandwich from one of the restaurants and bought some tea and spices for my meats while they cook. Looking forward to going back soon!

So much variety. Everything looks delicious. I ate some vegan ice cream at Loves. Very happy!

You can dine inside some of the restaurants here or get a takeout and eat in the markets common space. A very nice environment! Wish theyd let you validate your parking with restaurant receipts though.

Fun place with a great atmosphere, just hate that they make you pay to park there. Certainly makes it hard to relax and enjoy when youre watching the clock trying to get out of there in time to not get charged. The boba place inside is my fave but the cupcake booth is awesome too

So many options of different genres of fresh cooked, freshly prepared entrees! All under one roof! Really good wine bar for those into taste testing or cheese samples.. Dining area upstairs is really nice with a view of downtown.

Love the market! Great lunch spot with a ton to choose from. If you like to cook, its a great spot to find things your local grocery doesnt carry. A bit expensive, but definitely worth it.

First time going here today with a good friend who acts as my downtown tour guide. I can honestly say, I cant wait to go back with my husband.I dont even know where to start, between the cheeses, the seafood counter, the nooks and corners with stuff to peruse. I cant wait to go back and try the pizza and the tacos. My husband ad I will be spending a few days downtown next month and we will definitely make this part of our trip!

Very chill but hip atmosphere with some of my favorite foods. You can get Seafood, Thai, Sushi, Hot Chicken, Ice Cream, Tacos, Pho, Poke, Boba Tea and so much more, all under one roof! Would definitely recommend and will need to come back and try more food vendors.

What a cool place. There is something here for everyone. All kinds of food from Vietnamese to Mexican. There is a meat market, a bakery ...or two. A huge seafood market with more kinds of fish and seafood than you will find in the Midwest. Its amazing! And upstairs is a huge solarium full of tropical and subtropical plants you can eat right next to it. I would have to write a book to describe it all. Just come and check it out.

Lovely place, nice food options. Come here for our work meetings. Little pricey but food quality is good. Parking is reasonable. Love to drink cortado at Madcap coffee shop.

If you are a foodie the Grand Rapids Downtown Market is THE place to visit in GR. Great variety of unique food and drinks. It also features convenient parking.

The downtown market has something for everyone, of every age. Wine, cheese, fresh meats and fish, breads, teas, oils and spices to name a few. Many options for a quick bite or snack (ice cream, popcorn, cakes). They even have spots for full sit-down meals. Slows BBQ anchors the back corner with its great menu and vibe. Check it out you will enjoy the energy in and around the building.

I wish I had enough appetite to eat everything there! Very clean, organized. I will be back!

Still as wonderful as always, a little pricey but well worth every penny. Our 1st stop was Loves Icecream for chocolate, on Fish Lads of GR for huge lobster tails, Gulf coast shrimp, some smoked salmon, we move down a few feet to Cravers of Grand Rapids for some of their 48 day dry hung rib eye steaks and one Ottos chicken. Ok, thats enough, oh no its not we need some fresh bread and pastries from Fields and Fire, and still we move on because what would fresh crusty bread be without some Old World Olive Press oils for dipping. Now lets get out of here, wait, wait, desert from Sweetie Luscious. Christmas Eve dinner is now finished and we didnt even cover the half of it. Lots of wonderful full cooked meals or bites spread out throughout the building, take out only because of Covid, that I wished we had stopped at, but the real beauty of the Downtown Market is once you have been, there is always next time. I may post pictures later....

Wonderful feel, great place to walk around, lots of fresh meat, fish, cheese and baked goods. A little bit of everything here. Olive oils, teas, Vietnamese/Mexican/Thai/Japanese/French food.

If you cant find something you like here, its not downtown markets fault ;) . Great stuff.

Great options for variety of lunches while working downtown. Only thing missing is something for lunch appropriate drinks other than prebottled or canned options.

Nice place, variety of stores, clean inside, shop owners were friendly. Not cheap, as a lot of more high end items, but good selection. Parking on site is free for first 30 minutes which is helpful, you have to pay for anything over 30 minutes. Did not buy anything on this occasion but would visit again if in the area

My wife and I rode the bus from City Flats Hotel and were pleasantly surprised; lots of food options, great coffee, energetic vibe. Definitely worth a checking it if your a Grand Rapids visitor!

This place has it all. Lots of fun to go wonder.

Such a cool establishment in Grand Rapids! Tour lots of shops and restaurants on the first floor and a greenhouse - for all you fellow plant lovers out there - on the second floor. From buying wine and cheese to eating sushi and Thai, its absolutely a must visit. My favorites are Rak Thai and the Social Kitchen for brunch.For those within the Spectrum Health Hospital System as well, the Lifestyle Medicine office is located on the second floor as well.

My husband and I walked into the greenhouse when viewing venues for our wedding and we knew it was the one right away. The space is gorgeous, but the Events Team at the Market is the real star here. Kimberly, Katie, and Madison made the planning process so incredibly easy, I dont think our wedding would have been such a success without them. The team and process the Market has in place is great for any bride that isnt trying to do every little thing herself. I couldnt recommend this venue more for a wedding.

I enjoy this place, there is many eating options and theres something for everyone, even picky eaters. People of all ages can enjoy this place. Theres a lot of seating, outside seating has a nice view of the city. I tried the RAK THAI restaurant and it was great! My brother had the chicken restaurant and his food looked delicious and the chicken tenders were large.

Im surprised every time how much there is here to just eat for a quick lunch or dinner. Shop or consume on site superior quality seafood, meat, cheeses, wines, bread, sweets and more. $-$$$ on the shopping, but many unique choices all in one place, hard to beat in any one location in town.

4.5 stars. Options aplenty. Bright and airy. Perfect for winter!

Downtown Market has a lot to offer. It is a must-see for anyone, native to the area or otherwise. MadCap Coffee, Slows BBQ, JuJu (Chicken BLT pictures below), and the upstairs dining are my favorite spots within the facility. There is plenty of parking available. These guys also graciously host events, such as Cars and Coffee, and space is available for various other gatherings. Keep them on your radar by following in whichever social media platform you prefer! Home goods, bakery, produce, sushi...there’s something here for everyone. As a very frugal human, some of the pricing makes my insides cringe a bit. Still, doesn’t deter me from visiting. Love the way the place is set up and the atmosphere is most inviting. You’ll have to go back several times to be able to truly appreciate. Cheers!

Downtown Market is a cute marketplace that carries tasty treats you didnt know you wanted or needed. Check out Gabys Gourmandise for their French lemon tart with Berry compote! So amazing! Slows BBQ has the best brisket!

Awesome place! Its like the mall but with gourmet food. I go every week. It has such a fun atmosphere and the bread at Field and Fire is the best. Aperitivo, Pinktail Poke and Fish Lads are a must stop. The classes they have are really great and so are the wine pairings Aperitivo offers.

Great environment, lots of good stuff to either buy or eat. Once the patio and greenhouse are open again, they are a great place to hang out.

So many delicious food options to choose from! My kids choose cheeseburgers and fries from Carvers. I also picked up pain du chocolat for the morning plus some rosemary olive oil and bourban maple balsamic vinegar!

Spend $64 on three $12 lunches, one rice n bean and three sodas. Little pricy at the shops too. Overall good food and clean. Would I go back? Yes!

Downtown Market is very hipster. When I walked in it felt like I was in Williamsburg Brooklyn. Its a cute shopping center thats a bit overpriced but its a nice place to take a stroll through.

Feels like something from Chicago. Think Navy Pier, just not as big. Lots of different food to choose from, whether its ready to eat or raw. Ill definitely be back.

If going to Field and Fire, definitely try the sunflower flax or the righteous seed. The green olive loaf is especially savory. Outstanding!

Tons of different food options/food related shopping. The building itself is really cool, architecturally. Their options for seating ranged from cafeteria style, to private tents, to casual seating in a green house type area which was really interesting.

Variety of shops from local people. Wish it was bigger, but it was great on a first visit.

Walked around and left. I did go upstairs and the bathrooms were clean and I noticed a community kitchen. Not sure what that was about but... If the name is an indicator about what it represents... I like it. 🤨

Super clean and beautiful place. Rák has the BEST butterfly tea I’ve ever had in my entire life. I live about 2 hours away and will happily make the trip when I have free time just to stop here.

Went on mothers day not to busy. Good variety of custom products. Meats, seafood, coffees, and pastries.

A bit pricy and a bit chaotic but I really the atmosphere and the food options are great. Could use a bit more seating but they could be low due to Covid.

There are some really great shops here and it is nice to meander through and see what there is. I come here if I have money to splurge, though. As a venue, I dont give it that high a review because I had some friends that had thier wedding there and I heard some of the issues they had.

Area still feels like its going through a gentrification... food was good, got lobster roll.. great French fried but have been through alot of public markets in different cities and states.. not quite there but maybe Ina couple of years

Sweet little place with lots of places to eat.

Good food, good coffee, good ice cream, great atmosphere. A bit pricey, however they do have unique items such as custom blends of oils, spices,and teas. Vegan ice cream was just wonderful.

Neat area with multiple booth style shops. Fresh fish, butcher, coffee, sushi, homemade ice cream creations including boozy adult floats, artisan cheese and bread and infused olive oils. Farm to table products and goods. Picked up a loaf of Italian bread and Tuscan infused olive oil...awesome!!!
