Lovely little coffee shop, full of well done and fascinating art. Cozy layout, delicious pastries and coffee. Love it!
Their bar has lots of exotic liquors (galliano, nocino, absinthe for example). The space is snug with a good atmosphere. Prices are a little bit high.
I love this little place! The atmosphere is cozy and clean! It’s even better that there is always an assortment of local art being showcased! They have a huge number of options of drinks to pick from and the employees are more than willing to make whatever you’d like! I’ve been coming here for a while and every time I do, I could spend hours here! The chairs are so comfortable and the whole place just has a really neat feel to it!
Loved this beautiful cafe!! From the delicious treats and coffee to the whole authentic. Highly recommended!!
Great service, great iced lattes. The pastries were delicious.
Beautiful art and interior design. Friendly family owned and great beverages. Happy to call it a favorite coffee shop.
Super cute and friendly place, and excellent coffee every time 😁
Very nice place, I got a sweet drink... but they seem to be good quality. Will return.
Super cute coffee shop with great beverages and awesome atmosphere. The walls are covered in cool local art and our barista was very friendly and helpful. They have all your classic coffee shop bevs as well as some more unique ones (like a snickers latte), plus a great selection of tea for the few of us who don’t like coffee 🙃☕️
Delicious lavender matcha latte!
Amazing service and beautiful art!
I was here a few seconds ago but someone called me right before I get to the door. I left my bag pack on one of tables and came by front door chairs to talk to her so that i don’t bother the guy sitting next to my table. 5 min or less later and the barista/guy behind counter came to me while I was still talking over phone and said: “ hey man you should buy a drink if you want to hang out here”. So I picked up my bag and left.I was originally planning to buy a cappuccino as its advertised on their door. Instead I ended up giving them 2 star (I spend 5 minutes inside the coffee house and they had comfy chairs). I thought we are past Starbucks controversy era .Not sure how they have 4.8 starts... maybe they are not always like this or maybe was a tough day for Barista.
It’s always an enjoyable experience at PaLatte - between the delicious hot beverages and the awesome art on the walls, you can tell a lot of thought and care goes into what they do there to create a neat atmosphere and great coffee
So cute, cozy chairs, and the most friendly Batista in town. I also love that the cafe doubles as a gallery with incredible art you can admire and even purchase if you so choose. The coffee is of course delicious, and the lattes are properly distinct from cappuccinos. This place knows what theyre doing!
Great coffee, fantastic service. The inside is beautiful and very cozy. I used to go after school every once in a while, and the barista was always very helpful and kind. They even put up with the after school high school crowd, which I know can be a... difficult group. Highly recommend.
Cool little coffee shop in a convenient spot downtown. Good coffee with some fun sweeter drinks too. Decent tea selection as well. Kind and competent if not expedient service. Great spot to study in a comfy seat for a while. Tends to collect interesting art on the walls and people in the chairs.
Have been going ever since they open and I love this place, the drinks, the Snickers Mocha, the atmosphere. And owners are amazing. My favorite coffee shop in Michigan
Lovely local art for sale and good coffee. Treat yourself to an affogato!
Cozy atmosphere located on the side of town with very little competition for coffee shops. It’s pretty little inside with more conversational style seating. The customer service was good, but PLEASE BE SURE TO CHECK THE DATE ON ANYTHING YOU EAT. I work in the food service industry and this place doesn’t follow the health code very strictly. Their pastry case was gross and had fruit flies, another time my biscotti was expired, also, they keep the microwave under the sink (a few inches from the floor) which isn’t sanitary.
I highly recommend PaLatte Coffee!! Great coffee and even better service.
Extremely cozy and welcoming environment. Feng shui on point - coffee brewed to perfection. L O V E
I loved the atmosphere here. I specifically set out looking for a place with lounge chairs and a laid back vibe so I could relax while reading a book and clearing my mind away from home. I found exactly what I was looking for in PaLatte. Never lose the chairs! They make this place so much better than any regular coffee shop.Honestly, while the art was nice, it didnt add anything to the experience for me. Ive seen other places have art for sale on the walls so there was no novelty in it for me. Obviously being part of the name, indicates the owners intended on that being a major selling/talking point. Perhaps other would appreciate it more than I did, but I could take it or leave it.The coffee was great. I ordered a 16 oz mocha with a shot of caramel and a raspberry danish to go with it as I hadnt eaten at all yet that day. The danish was average. The coffee was above.Definitely would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet place to unwind.
Great little coffee shop downtown. Definitely recommend the mocha latte. The service was great and the artwork is amazing. In addition to the mocha, I had a black Sumatra, but I wasnt terribly impressed, it was just OK. I will for sure visit again. Nice place to chill out for a bit.
I love coffee, and PaLatte always gets it right. Its an excellent spot to relax and have a good conversation or get some work done when you need to focus. Love the staff, love the coffee, and love the place. Go here. Youll be glad you did.
Pa Latte is ALWAYS a pleasant experience. It is family-owned and they are dedicated to offering Grand Rapids the *best* coffee experience that can be found in the city. Western Michigan, for that matter. They are very knowledgeable about all their coffees and truly enjoy being baristas.Do yourself a favor and visit them soon!
This place is a hidden gem. Staffed by really talented artists and promoting local work, they also make the coffee shop experience what it should be. Not rushed. Very personal. No corporate feel to it at all. Espresso shots are pulled and pressed by hand. Nice, artistic finishing touches on the lattes.
Super comfortable and cute! Lots of art, great natural lighting and comfy chairs. Staff are personable and helpful, they started to remember my order within days. The coffee is some of my favorite in the downtown area and I LOVE their seasonal drinks, their “Purple Rain” latte especially is the best latte I’ve had in years.
I LOVE this place! The staff is always so welcoming and consistently offer a superior product. All of the unique art also creates a wonderful atmosphere.
Over charged for what i got, I will go back!!!
THIS PLACE! OH MY. This coffee shop is definitely a must go. It is filled with beautiful artwork (some even made one of the owners daughters, a barista) their lavender latte IS TO DIE FOR they are real rich dark flavors and its such a nice, quiet, and beautiful atmosphere. Great place if you are a collector of art as well.
Delicious coffee and rad art. Plus they sell miniatures of some of the awesome art they have on the walls. Super chill place to hang out, still bummed they got rid of the spinach and cheese tart.
Great coffee, great service, cool art
Very nice cafe and art venue, they always have something beautiful or amazing on the walls worth studying closely while you wait for your drink. This is the type of cafe I only order lattes or specialty drinks from. If Im not mistaken, they feature locally roasted coffee and not in-house roasted, but the selection is a good local sampling.Atmosphere is very nice here, Id love to come in the afternoon to sit on my computer or read a book for hours. Definitely the place to go if youre in the area, and they typically feature Art Prize artists when its that time of year.
Its places like this that make me love living in Grand Rapids even more! Its so cozy and cute in here! I just love it. I cant wait to come back with my two girls.
PaLatte is my very close second favourite here in Grand Rapids. I am a self proclaimed coffee snob and I cannot think of anything bad to say about this place. I adore their snickers latte and I also love the cozy feeling of the place. I like that they change out the art regularly so I never get bored just staring at the wall for a while. This is definitely one of those coffee shops that you want to go to so you can hang out with friends instead of just being on your laptop, although that’s not bad here either.
THE ART!! The coffee is great, but the art!! I love the atmosphere here and highly recommend coming with some time to just sit, drink some coffee, and take in the wondrous cafe of PaLatte.
Loving the wingback chairs for an afternoon of lounging! A nice selection of standard coffee drinks with something for lovers of sweet and bitter alike. Great idea covering the walls with work by local artists, hopefully they have the momentum to change the lineup regularly!
Good coffee in a very relaxed atmosphere. Nice art as well most if not all available for purchase. Seating is comfortable and music is at a peaceful level, easy to get work done or just enjoy your drink with.
Theres some something about the atmosphere I love it. The Baristas are AMAZING especially the ones with teal hair. They always greet me at the door I dont know why no one would love them.
Pros: right off several bus lines (silverline, 14, 4, 15). Great downtown location within walking distance of lots of great spots for food or entertainment. Really good drinks (the affogato and purple rain are personal favorites). Relaxed atmosphere with lots of comfortable seating. Lots of great art pieces on display (and for sale, including prints). Very clean. Friendly service.Cons: prices are a bit more expensive, but not terrible for the quality. Nonprint art for sale is very expensive.
This lady at the coffee counter has a arrogant attitude. She is kind of condescending and I don’t know whats up with her, but I will not come back...I’ve patronize this business periodically for about 2 years give or take and she has never said good morning to me. Also I asked her if her prices increased because I remember paying a little around $3 for the danish (probably within a few months) now they are around $4/each. She lied and said no increases within 2 years, which is not true because I would have remembered paying $4 for a boxed pastry. Outrageous!...Response to the owner’s comments.. That’s exactly why I took time out of my busy day to post this comment. Now everyone can see truly how rude you are by responding this way. It’s the cost of doing business that I can express my experience and unhappiness with how I was treated by you, the owner. And in regards to comment about how much money I had. I actually walked to my car and made the choice to patronize your business with spare change from my car. But you obviously don’t need new business because you clearly treated me the same way you are now... Like I said before, $4 is more then I wanted to pay for a danish, so I decided not to spend even my spare change there! And due to your nasty attitude It seems that I made a great choice. And I will certainly never enter your place of business again!
Lousy service. Overpriced. Dont recommend.
Absolutely amazing art and the coffe is just as great. Staff is friendly and personable. Very impressed! Even treated the kiddo like a grown up and acknowledged him unlike larger chain coffee shops.
While a little on the pricey side (and what coffee shop isnt, really), this is great place. The staff has always been amazing, the coffee enjoyable, and the environment very inviting. I wouldnt necessarily come here for a coffee to-go, though I wouldnt count it out, but it is my go-to anytime says, lets grab a coffee and chat.
Great coffee and tea options with some snacks. All surrounded by local art and good music. Lattes with a smile!
One of my favorite Grand Rapids coffee shops! IMO they have the BEST Lattes in GR. Theres not a lot of seating, so keep that in mind if youre planning on going at a busy time with more than a few people.
Comfortable environment and hands down the best coffee place in Grand Rapids maybe even Michigan. Love the art and the workers are always inviting
I like like this place. They have good coffee and good tea.
Awesome place. Baristas make the BEST coffee I’ve had in years. Super friendly owner. Highly, highly recommend. Off the beaten path but very well worth it!!!
Just a visitor from another city. They were very kind, and very helpful with finding some fun attractions. Coffee was 100% delicious
I love the coffee here, the muffins, the art. I come here often. Today, I came in and wasnt greeted, no biggie. When I said hi, she just looked at me and asked what I wanted. The barista had teal hair. Just seemed strange and rude to me. Guess I am used to the owner working with her great energy and spirit.
A-ffogat-to write a review last time I visited! Espresso and ice cream is heavenly
One of my favorite coffee shops in town. Great coffee and fun menu, very cozy and cool with interesting art, and the staff are always really friendly.
Good coffee.. ambiance is artistic. Good place for a quick chat with a friend.
This is a great coffee shop for art lovers. Also there chai tea latte is the best in town
Super great staff. Espresso is incredible. Cafe miel with almond milk is the best Ive ever had. Art work is incredible. Everytime I go in there, I wanna buy something. I love it.
I love this place!
Good coffee. Unfortunately a little inconsistent depending on who the Batista is. No matter the experience is always great.
Coffee was delicious! Had the seasonal lattes - Purple Rain (lavender honey) and Nutella - and they were both well balanced and not too sweet. Atmosphere was comfortable, staff was personable and there are comfortable wingbacks to sit in and read or converse. Also enjoyed looking at the ArtPrize entries hanging on the walls. Good cup of coffee!
Quiet, quaint, beautiful art, wonderful service
They make excellent lattes here, and my partner enjoys their brewed coffee!
I love this place, if you havent visited PaLatte then you havent truly had great coffee.
This is a very cute little cafe. I love it here
Great place to grab a hot or cold drink. Very friendly staff and lots of great art for sale.
Best coffee in town! Barista we had took some time to make each coffee, but they were fantastic.
Nice local coffee shop. Coffee is good and environment is unique
I absolutely love the lattes, they have an amazingly upbeat and friendly atmosphere, please try this place if you havent already, this is my new favorite coffee stop in the morning
Great atmosphere and awesomecoffees! Maybe you want a coffee or maybe you just want to check out some awesome art (for sale too) either way this is a must coffee stop to check out!
I love this place, super cozy, well located, the consumer service is excellent and the coffee is the most delicious, cute presentation also
Nice people good coffee
Customer service is great, the art is beautiful, and the danishes are delicious!
Nice shop, but the staff was a little moody and there were fruit flies in the pastries.
Cute little coffee shop but Im always amazed at coffee shops that dont know what an Italian or French soda is for those of us that dont really like coffee.
Expensive lattes but they have an enjoyably calm atmosphere with admirable art
Coffee, yuummmmm. Cheese Danish, meh. Not very sweet and kind of dry.
Enjoyed a pastry and some art.
Great downtown location and neighborhood vibe. Go here for both the coffee and the art display!
Lovely, quiet cafe with a rotating selection of art on the walls.
Nice little coffee shop with comfy seating and great art.
Always good coffee with great art to see.
I had a pretty good smoothie there! I like the local art on the wall for purchas.
Great environment and the drinks made perfect.
Awesome coffee, lovely baristas, muffins to die for
Awesome, coffee shop, love the art!
This is my favorite downtown spot. This is a very welcoming place
Great ambiance, excellent coffee, and friendly service.
Barists here are always very rude..
Get the Snickers you wont regret it.
