Lyon Street Cafe has been rolling with to-go only orders since the beginning of the outbreak, and they have the cutest setup at their door. Although we miss hanging out inside their shop, we aren’t complaining about the new cozy greenhouses you can sit in outside! ☕️ (Featuring pastries from Nantucket Baking Co ☺️)⁣⁣

This place is just fantastic. The vibe inside is super laid back, the music is always on point, the treats are delicious, and the Cafe Miel is the best I have ever had. They know what they’re doing here and it shows. The only thing I would change about this place is that I would make it bigger so there would be more seating, but I know that the seats fill up because they are full of people who love this place as much as I do.

First time here. Ordered the Rosemary Honey Latte (sounds like it is a seasonal flavor) and OMG I am in heaven! Listen, I dont like Christmas, but this thing tastes LIKE Christmas, and its delightful!!! Highly recommend it. Im glad I went out on a limb to try this odd flavor combo. Cannoli was tasty too, and what a great atmosphere. It seemed loud when I walked in, but after 5 minutes of being here, everything kind of blended together and it was super cozy. Love the simple decor and the laid back feel. Cant wait to come back!

Lyon Street Cafe used to be a haven for furiously studying students, picking heads up to glance at one another across the sturdy wooden booths and warm Edison style lighting. It was cozy and crowded, frequented by neighborhood regulars as well as an ever changing cast of professionals and bourgeoisie of every ilk.In the post-post-9/11 covid “worst timeline” present they’ve had to drastically change their tact. The temperature is dropping and they, in a refreshingly patron-safety-centric approach, seem to have no plan to open their doors to the almost certain flood of mask-dismissing, germ-disseminating yuppies (I’m looking at you Mary Wheeler). Instead they are creating conditions for a happy outdoor cup of joe all year round, much like Outdoor Coffee has pioneered.I’m sitting now in the first of what is rumored to be 7 greenhouses, equipped with an electric wood stove (not real wood obvi) and ventable ceiling panel. It smells clean and new and best of all private in here, I am occasionally looking up to see the blurred shapes of passerby but am blissfully protected from errant sneezes. If you haven’t checked out Lyon Streets cold weather setup, DON’T! I want it all to myself. But if you do check it out, be sure to say hi. I’ll be the one who’s all moved in to greenhouse number 6.

A family favorite and a classic date location for my parents. Their coffee plus the interior design of the cafe gives off a super cozy vibe. The small bread shop next door gives a perfect combination of local breakfast dining and the best part is that the prices are not obscenely high like some other places that offer the same drinks and food. The only minor thing that I would like to see in the future is some type of space organization. This cafe is very popular and a lot of students and other people come in, sometimes just by themselves and they take up spaces meant for a group so when I come in with friends or family, we often have to either go somewhere else or wait for space to become available. Otherwise, an amazing place to be.

Crazy good coffee. Some of the best in town. That said, the seating is a little too minimalist and it could benefit from JUST a few more options across the board. A great environment for meeting up with a few friends, getting some work done, or just reading a good book with a great cup of coffee. I was only here once while visiting from out of town, so I cant speak to the entire menu, but they make a proper cappuccino here, and the staff clearly know what they are doing. There are non-dairy options for the vegan and lactose-intolerant crowd, which is always nice. And the baked goods are ridiculously delicious. Definitely worth a visit!

This is the most relaxing place to be with my fiance on the weekend. Im the type of guy that avoids places like Starbucks and Bigby because I know there are places like Lyon Street that are light-years better. They have an excellent condensed menu of drinks that I think more coffee shops should emulate and even when there is seasonal or special drink it is not over-flavored to point where it stops tasting like coffee. Im a very vanilla coffee drinker, but I know that other people get things like oatmilk for their drink so they can cater to those tastes too. One word of warning though, everybody wants to be here so finding a seat to settle into isnt always easy, but it is so worth it.

Unfailingly friendly service, good coffee, and a lively vibe make this one of my favorite places to work away from my home office. Reliable wifi, pretty good access to receptacles, free parking lot. A variety of seating options, including my favorite the high stool bar in front which makes it easy to go from sitting to standing and affords a distracting view of the street. Can be a little noisy sometimes for phone calls, and better for brainstorming than high-focus hang-outs.

They specialize in pour-over coffee which is strong and interesting. Expensive though, compared to brewed coffee at other coffee shops. The pastries and baked goods are fabulous. Scones, muffins, cakes, bars. Need to go next door for a bagel or quiche though. Despite the cafe in the name, the only food is baked goods from Nantucket Baking next door and some specialty desserts from Marthas Vineyard around the corner. This is located in a neighborhood in an upcoming hip area near downtown. In the summer, this place is always cold inside--too cold for me! You can sit outside, though, to enjoy your coffee and a treat.

Dont let the rustic aesthetic fool you. This place is deceptively modern. A warm and cozy at home feeling, serving fine cafe sweet treats and delicious drinks and those electrical outlets that also have USB ports in them all combine to create a wonderful space in the Northeast Neighborhood Area. Lyon is a great neighborhood haunt. And they take advantage of the other great local businesses by selling baked goods from Nantucket and sandwiches and fruit cups from Marthas.Staff is always friendly. Drinks may take a while when they are busy, I really dont see this as a downside. They craft their coffee drinks, not just throw them together. I DO wish they had caramel or hazelnut flavors. I understand that their menu is very classic coffee drinks, even having a miel and cortado, but sometimes a girl wants an iced americano with a splash of hazelnut or caramel, am I right?Seating can be iffy. A lot of people like to take up tables meant for groups, but, I guess, coffee shops tend to cater more to singles who are there to concentrate or relax alone. And you can always politely ask to join another solo at their table.Theres seating in the front and back which is nice when the weather isnt crummy.Atmosphere is perfect: not too sterile and modern, not too dark and mopey. I recommend this place to groups who are doing projects, people catching up, or even a first date, just be courteous to others around you and keep the volume polite, as most of their clientele seems to be studying students.
