This review is for the curbside pick-up service that they provide. Since the pandemic hit, I have used several grocery pick-up services. This Walmart is the best one that I have used. That is not to say that there is no room for improvement. There is.However, the communication about substitutions, and their returns policy is better than what every other service does. The absolute WORST customer service. Good luck getting a hold of anyone who works there. They simply do not answer the phones. I had a pick up order and it was for 8-9. They close at 8. I called the national customer service line, and after I hung up, I received a text message that she canceled my order. Mind you it takes 7 days to be refunded for that. Just ridiculous. Pick up people need to make contact when something like this happens, not just close up shop. Never again!

I love this Walmart Super Store. I cash my S S check then go shopping. If I have a question everyone is there to help me and very nice. Thank you all for the help. The small fee to cash my check is very nice.

Usually have a great baking supply section but the last year its slim picking for boxes.Check out is better now they actually use self checkout but its not a great Walmart.

Cleaner then last time I was in here, which was probably 2 years ago. It doesnt look like a yard sale anymore. Most departments were organized. Self checkout guy was helpful and polite.

Im sorry but I have never been in a more dirty store in my life. The Walmart on east 28th street is so gross!! It looked more like a big yard sale. With clothes piled on tables and in carts just parked anywhere and EVERYWHERE!! You couldnt hardly get through the store with all the junk all over. I seriously started getting a panic attack and had to leave!! Someone needs to do something to fix that situation AND SOON!!!!!!!

Its a Walmart. What do you expect? This location is okay. The employees were pleasant. The woman working the self scan area was very nice and helpful. The store is a bit run down compared to 54th Street or even the Alpine location, but those stores are both a lot newer.

This Walmart location is among the worst Ive ever shopped at. Its always in shambles...messy, disorganized, shelves in disarray, with most more than half empty, so that you cant even reach products. Thats if they have the products you want at all. Every time I go there, theres more and more items I cant get because theyre out of stock. They really need to step up their game, or theyll continue to lose customers.

First car arrived for curbside pick up. No one answered the phone for 10 minutes. When they finally did we were the last car served out of 7. This shouldnt be this hard! Either you have a service and should manage it appropriately or you shouldnt have it. Would have been faster to go in and get the groceries. Total wait time 32 minutes. Wow, how convenient.

I gave the Cascade store a one because there is no zero. When searching for a specific battery, I checked Walmart online and found the item at both the Cascade and Wyoming stores. I drove several miles to Cascade because it was closest to me. First, the electronic dept. sent me to hardware. An older employee was extremely rude and wouldnt even check! He said I dont think we have that. Go to electronics. I went back to electronics and an older women seemed mad and rude that I came back and asked her a question. She said she didnt think Walmart carried it. I showed her a picture of the battery from my phone and she noticed some small, very light words on the picture that read manufactured by (other company name). She said oh, we dont even carry that. When I asked why is it shown at Walmart, she didnt answer. She huffed and sighed angrily and said in a snotty voice I dont know. She said Id have to call the other company listed in order to purchase it. I said how are the customers supposed to know that? And she replied in a very snotty tone well most people do! !!!! This was only the second time in my 60 years that I shopped at Walmart. Perhaps this is why...

Nice store. The employees really work hard to keep merchandise sorted and put away! Its sad to see people look at it, drop it on the floor or in another spot. The store had everything on my list.

Depressing atmosphere. Offered a mask. All employees faceless behind their masks. Sickening smell of disinfectant. Cheery music cant disguise the negative experience. Im done shopping at Walmart

Always enjoy going to shop or pick up meds. Cashiers actually know me by name. I spend alt because of the good prices and sales are awesome!!! Items sell fast. Love me some Walmart...

When I was there most of the time there was the self-service checkout open at one end of the store and one regular cashier with a line of about eight people all the time finally as I was getting in line a second cashier opened. Very little in the line of assistance in the store I think I saw four employees wandering around and two or three stalkers going to and from the the back room the store was fairly busy while I was there and a lot of stock was missing from the shelves

I needed to return an item and the computer system was not cooperating so the girl at customer service called corporste and got it fixed so that I could return it on this day! She was above and beyond helpful!

The store itself was clean and well up-kept. The workers were diligent and very helpful with great big smiles on there faces. All around a great store and i would recommend!

This place has great staff! I love the managers and the people working the customer service desk! The store was not well stocked or organized but it’s outweighed by the great workers!

Abysmal. Cant find anything in the clutter. Its like they havent organized anything in months.

I really enjoy shopping at this Walmart, it is alot nicer and more well kept than the one on Alpine.

Very clean store, with items in stock. I like that you can pull the stuff up online and it tells you if it is in stock and which aisle its in and the product was there and easy to find. Everything I needed was in one place and I was able to get my project done without going to 3 different stores.

Never coming to this store again.. I went in looking for something in the Electronic department and not once was I stopped and asked if I needed anything.. but LP was watching me like I was some sort of thief.... I was completely uncomfortable... never again... I work hard and pay my bills...

Please see my Update below: The no contact pick up is where its at with the store. Going in and having deliver y from this location is hit or miss. Ive had to ask for refunds the last two times Ive ordered groceries through delivery because they just didnt show up with my orders. However all of the previous times which was between 5 to 7 times they were punctual and had everything in my order. But given my last to experiences of trying to order for delivery and it not showing up either time I will not be doing that again. The contactless pick up is how to do it for this location.Update: I have had 2 grocery deliveries from this location this week and they did a wonderful job and were on time. Very efficient. Thank you!!!

Never in my life have I enjoyed the people at this location, they are a true blessing.

Nearly everything you NEED is found here, and I have (NEVER) left a WAL-MART with out buying FOOD ; TISSUE; SOAP ; BATTERIES;WATER ... etc. and then there are things that I just (WANT)... &. I manage to get some of them too... (mg 8/621)

In and out fast only had one man lane open. Half of the self checkout were down .

I would give the 1 in Cascade on 28th St. SE a 4 star. Theyre cleaner and friendlier than a lot of them. I give the 1 on 54th St. SW in Wyoming a 0 - 1, I only go there as a last resort. The 1 in Grandville on Kenowa Ave, I give a 4 star as well. They are also clean and friendly.

I shop at 5 different Walmart locations on a regular basis. (Also Wyoming, Hastings, Battle Creek & Charlotte) This is my favorite. Most items well stocked. (Exception: toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags) Cashiers friendly and quick.

My shopping experience was horrible at Walmart tonight. I always shop at Walmart, but tonight upon entering the store I saw a couple walk out of Walmart with a 55 inch TV and a shopping cart with items that were not bagged. Both greeters looked at each other and shrugged there shoulders. I bought items totaling $250.00. When I was ringing up my purchases one of rhe greeters came and bought me a shopping cart and watched me purchased my items along with the u-scan clerk. My daughter offered to take my items to the car after I paid for my purchase, and I told her that will be fine. As soon as I started ringing up my second order my daughter came back to u-scan and said Mom I need your receipt both of these greeters are asking to see it. I told my daughter no Im not showing them my receipt, because they are not checking all customers, they are not checking mine either! I told the greeters if your not checking all customers then your not looking at my receipt either!!! I told my daughter to take my items to the car. I talked to a manager told him how I was treated and it was no big deal to him. I asked for his name he covered his name tag. I asked the u-scan clerk her name and she also covered her name tag with her head cover. I told the staff if you think Im stealing call the police, I know the law, I worked in retail for years, and Im not a thief! As I left the store the police had been called, and two officers were standing by the entrance along with 6 other employees. The police did not ask for a receipt, because they know they had nothing but employees who were trying to cover there actions for bad customer service, I should have returned all my $250.00 items and went to a different store! Walmart in Cascade is a awful place to shop. I cant find employees to help if you need a item, but on Monday night there are a lot of employees that get paid to stand around and harass certain customers. I can spend my money at a store where I can walk out the door and not be accused of stealing! This has happened to me in the past and Im a regular customer who spends a lot of money at Walmart! CHECK ALL CUSTOMERS RECEIPTS NOT JUST CERTAIN ONES!!!!

A couple self checkouts open, only three regular checkouts open. Lines on all 5 nearly two dozen people deep. Kinda absurd when you consider that checkout is a pretty major aspect of any brick and mortar retailer

Seemed everything was pretty good, looked like plenty of help just alot of stocking going on.

They always have what I am looking for, especially if I cannot find it anywhere else.

Douglas was nice. Needs a raise. stayed late for us, he knew something was important and made it his priority to help

I went to the store in Cascade to return an online order, the system was down and they couldnt process my return. Now I need to drive all the way back there just to get my money back. How frustrating.

It was pleasant until time of checkout & leaving the store. There are two greeters there that were very rude,demeaning, belittling & very aggressive to which I felt like I was going to be potentially psychically harmed. An honestly I felt like I was being racially profiled & they didnt think I had someone with me. Two other shoppers left the store before me an these greeters didnt bother asking them for a receipt but as I walked by not one but two greeters aggressively demanding i show them my receipt now mine you not once did they ask my husband to which is a nationally nationality then me for his. They both surrounded me a became very indigent, aggressive/ rude. I looked to my husband who actually had our receipt both women ignored my gesture to him to get the receipt to show an became even more aggressive an demanding. Eventually my husband had enough an requested for a manger to which never came an we left the store feeling some type of way. I am not sure if it was an actual racial driven intent but it sure felt that way. An if your going to request receipt when exiting t store you need to do it with everyone an make it a all store policy for all the stores not just a select few. Also your employees need to be aware that harassing customers for receipts is actually against the law. If they expect a customer of stealing a licensed security official needs to be present obstructing the exit an being confrontational with the customers is not within your job description. I & my husband are both highly upset on how I was personally treated. My husband also feel this was a racial profiling situation to which I do not use this term lightly for i come from a bi racial background an family. I know how easy it can be used as a mislabeled of treatment of others.

If it wasnt for self checkout, I would probably still be there in line.

I went to the Walmart pick up site. Called the number on the sign as instructed to. A message about being closed for Christmas was given then went to leave a message. Tried 3 times, same result. I then downloaded the app to check in, was a bit hard to find where. Finally got a hold of someone delivering to a vehicle next to me and she processed it. Took over 40 min to get my 1 bag order. Not too happy with Walmart.

I have never seen a Walmart with so little customers in my life. No lines! No people crowding the aisles. Its perfect....although the staff is a bit aloof, Ill take that any day for an empty WalMart!

Store is not very clean, workers are not very helpful, and there are boxes left out in the aisles, and empty shelves everywhere. I prefer the Alpine or Grandville locations as this one is just trash.

Its a Walmart and you get almost anything you might need. Personally, if in Michigan, I would prefer a Meijers as they seem to be a bit cleaner to me.

No carts, the greeter needs another job there because she isnt people friendly at all. I only asked if there were other carts somewhere else and she said if you dont see them there isnt any. If I ever started to not like my job I would quit... Thank God for a College education 🙏

This store needs some real cleaning up. Lot of empty shelves and a lot of mess around. Most other Walmarts are doing a better job than this one. I do a lot of shopping at Walmart in person and online because of the products and price availability.

Walmart ruined my sons birthday cake!!! They did not frost the bottom of the cupcakes to make sure they dont slide all over and put them in a way to big box! So now my sons cake is messed up and the cupcakes are tooThe manger said i was at fault. The only thing he did was replace with new cupcake that looked nothing like the ones they should of and the frosting is wrong. I will never ever come back!

They were short stocked of a lot of items. Some sections of shelves were bare.

Great sale on items I was looking for. And each service professional I spoke with was very knowledgeable, made it easy to find items I was inquiring about.

Stores great. They really need to communicate better with Walmart online so when shopping online you know whats at the store. Instead buy online and get told at the desk no were all out. But they gave a refund tho so all is well

I think its terribly sad that these stores cant get people to work. The shelves dont get restocked for sometimes days there are only one or two checkouts open so you end up standing in line for long periods of time.

Saturday morning close to Christmas. Thought I would try Walmart for groceries. One cashier working. Seriously??? Now I remember why I dont shop here. Cart full of groceries. No choice but to wait 45 minutes. Other shoppers behind me waited much longer. Poor staff under great duress. Finally opened another lane when I was being checked out. No manager in sight. Will go back to the competition next time I shop for groceries.

This Walmart has to be the Absolutely worst store in the whole city limits of Grand Rapids . A lot of too slow, Dont know ! Unorganized, Departments not well placed . I only go there because Homecare Client, I shop for asked me to because its closer to her . But for myself to choose to go there and shop, Forget that !

Three out of 15 registers open plus self check out close customers to wait in line for close to 20 minutes. Found out the hard way after the long wait that we’re in the future but Walmart isn’t. They don’t accept Apple Pay. I was told I can go to customer service download their app and pay using their app. After entering the exact card information in it kept saying my card was declined. Finally gave up went to Mijers My card works no problem. Bye bye Walmart hello Mijers!!!

Way better than any pa stores I bin in there is a lot of items way away from were they should be like appliances an cook were should be over were food is these great area managers they dont think of older people when they move things around all the time I hate it like me I have a bad knee I dont want to run around the whole store looking for an item that all ways in same place

Had our pick up order delayed, half the items “weren’t in stock” and any item that requires a security lock like alcohol didn’t have them removed. I tried calling in to see what I should do to get it off. They never picked up their phones. I tried all extensions but got nowhere

The selection is fantastic and the employees were friendly but they did not have nearly enough lanes open so every lane that was open had a line 30 ft back so I ended up just leaving.
