Good selection of used German autos, in great shape. The tech was very helpful, and the owner, Mr. Alvarez, was also very helpful and personable. My husband and I drove away with a very nice 2012 Volkswagen GTI, at a decent price. Mr. Alvarez seems to know Volkswagens, and seems honest and straightforward.

Guess its my fault for not getting a pre purchase inspection. Since buying the car 2 months ago Ive done nothing but put money into fixing things. Sun roof will open but not close, wheels were bent, has a suspension fault because the wrong shocks were installed, etc. Emailed several times with no response

Was looking at a vehicle that I had been searching for for awhile and they’re decently difficult to come by so I put a down payment on it, which at the time they told me was non-refundable. I ended up changing my mind the same day and instead of stiffing me they fully refunded my down payment. I think that goes a long way in showing the honesty in a business.

Long story here...Purchased a 2008 Audi TT coupe with 133,000 miles remotely as i stay in Illinois, and its hard to get one of these vehicles. I called and asked if there were any issues with the car and was told everything was in working order. Paid the money and had it delivered. I did not notice all the problems listed below as they were discovered slowly since i am not a pro, but after 3 months and i am still finding problems and have yet to drive the car happily without finding something wrong.1) Brakes. Both rear brakes were seized. Left was seized closed and right was seized open. Had to change them both for $800. Parking brake was rusted and had to change that too: $1002) Aircon. O ring leaks in 3 places. 1 was replaced, and another 2 are being replaced now. Total cost: $1000, as some pipes were also rusted and had to be replaced3) Shocks and springs: All 4 shocks were leaking, and springs in 2 were broken. The rust made sure the bolt mounts were seized in the front and had to use an angle grinder to remove them. Total cost: $2000+4) Filters: Not been changed in ages and were broken and rotten. Nuts were also found in the engine filter.5) CV joint: realized recently that small clicking sounds from the axles are not normal, and have to replace them: $10006) Headlights/Tail lights: Leaking tal lights and burnt head lights. $1507) Valve gasket leak: going to fix it soon: $2008) Bad spark plugs: $1509) Overall cleanliness: Disgusting. Thought i could clean it myself, but after 3 months i am still finding small nooks and crannies where junk was left.10) Paint job had lost most of its clear coat and had dings and dents everywhere. Gonna have to fix all this up for about $2500So a lot of these were discovered after Jose had offered to give me a partial refund of $600. At the time i felt that $600 was good to cover the then know defects that were not disclosed to me. Also, a lot of things were things i might have changed either way to upgrade or just for maintenance.Regardless, i wanted it as it was a 3.2L VR6 Audi TT, rare and it was in Red. They claimed they did not know about the problems... not something i believe really. But still, they were not dodgy about it and tried their best to settle this issue. Still, not a good experience, though fault is also on me for not checking properly before making a purchase.Dont get me wrong, they are nice people. Just that this car i bought was way over priced for the defects it had that were not disclosed, or were not known to both parties... Mixed feelings really...

Be careful when buying a car from them. I’m a big car guy and know a thing or two about them. My first impression was good when I saw all the nice looking german cars lined up outside the shop. I was interested in a BMW X5 and took it for a test drive. First the steering wheel was so stiff and then a few engine codes came on and I immediately returned to the shop. The owner asked me to come back the day after to test again. He probably deleted those codes instead of fixing it. I don’t know what kind of a business sell a car like this.

Really disappointed that the owner and his staff treat their cars badly. A car that I was interested in was filled with trash and reeked of marijuana. This place looked really promising online, but it seems like most of their cars are crashed cars that they fixed up haphazardly. I wouldnt trust the people here and am honestly very skeptical about many of the good reviews here based on my experience.

Sold us a straight up lemon; wouldnt run after a week. Knew for a week we were coming to get it; had time to paint the calipers silver but didnt take the time to change the valve cover gaskets. They said theyd help and make things right... well making it right turned into hauling our car 200 miles from where we live, taking it to some whole in the wall shop, and telling us we need to pay for a whole new engine. We thought wed be ok with the warranty but turns out nobody in GR wants to do any work that is covered by the warranty. Now I have to rent a trailer to go get my vehicle so I can figure it out myself like I always do; so much for a warranty. Shouldve did the right thing and gave us our money back.

I saw an Audi A4 sport wagon on their website and called to see if they had the car in stock. they told me that they did and had someone there to show me it if I wanted. When I got there I asked if they had the car and they said yes. The car they showed me was not the same one as on the website. They tried to convince me that despite the different rims, interior, and color of the car, that it was the same one in the pictures.

We bought a 2012 Passat from Jose and were very happy with our experience. It is a small dealership, but they were very professional, helpful, and their follow-through was really good. We would buy from him again.

We recently purchased a 2008 Subaru from MJ Motorsports. We found a car on Car Gurus and when we arrived to look at it, Jose already gave his word to another customer a few hours earlier that he would not sell it to anyone else. He offered us a similar car instead with less miles at the same price. Jose kept his word and was willing to lower his selling price to appease both parties. He then offered to let us take it home for a day and bring it to a dealership. According to the inspection, the ball bearings were likely going to need some work in the next year so Jose offered to take care of the fix at just the cost of the parts. After purchasing the car, the engine light came on and Jose told us to bring it in so that he could take a look at it. He brought it to a specialist and confirmed what the manual said about the types of gas that can trigger the engine light going on. Throughout the process, the whole MJ Motorsport team was great to work with. A family owned business that cares about each and every customer. You can feel at peace buying from Jose. He is a great guy.

I have nothing but good things to say about this dealership. I drove up to MJ Motorsports from Kalamazoo to look at an Audi A3 2.0T Quattro. Jose was very friendly and honest with me. I took the car for a test drive and when I returned I pointed out a few issues I had with the car. He was understanding of my concerns and was extremely reasonable with the price. We talked for a while and although I was skeptical of buying the vehicle he offered to give me money for the gas I used for the trip even if I didnt buy the car. Bought a used a4 with clean record, paid in full and was told it had been serviced and had no problems, took a month for them to even get my title to me one day before my temp plate expired. Now its been about two months and the car throws itself into limp mode, sports multiple codes, and burns oil at an alarming rate. Puts up a good face but i wouldnt trust them. He posts his cars for sale on Craigslist as by owner because hes too cheap to pay $5.00 to post as a dealer.Do you really want to spend $10,000+ on a BMW or an Audi from a guy thats too cheap to spend $5.00?! This is a reflection on how Jose likes to do business!I was interested in a 328Xi BMW that he had, and I told him it made me uncomfortable that he posted as an owner. Ever since I saw a VW CC on the highway last year, I fell in love with it, little did i know, they were rare and even harder to find in 4 wheel-drive (which for me is completely necessary bc of Michigan weather) I went to MJ Motorsports and told Jose exactly what I was looking for. He didnt have a 4 Motion CC in Stock but he made it a point to get me what i was looking for. In no time he found the perfect car and had it shipped for me. He was very straight forward from the beginning and told me it may need a few repairs, but would honor the selling the price we had agreed upon. When my car arrived I was ecstatic, Jose repaired everything it needed and to this day--still makes time to keep up with my car whenever I need it. I highly recommend coming here, best decision I ever made.

I bought a Subaru from Jose about a month ago. Everything seems to be in working order. He had installed new front brakes for me before purchase, and had replaced the cadillic converter i believe as well, which was nice. He also did my AC which was funky after I bought it but he fixed it right away, just needed a slight adjustment. Friendly guy. Nice family. The only negative experience was confusion on the price, the website carguru had given me the wrong price and left me confused on the day of purchase. We negotiated a more than fair deal, which I feel bad, like I stole from the guy. I really dont think it was his fault. So if you are looking at buying a car from him through CarGuru be sure to call him and make sure the price reflects reality.Hes not going to strong arm you into fixing things that dont need fixing.
