Regrettable, we bought a new NX Sport 300, A few days after webought it, we took it on a family vacation. The air temps were at ornear 90 degrees. It didnt take long to realize the A C was absolutelynot working.We took it back to Harvey, and they couldnt check it right away, but eventually did. They said some parts were bad, and almost 3 weeks later, we got the car back....They did give us a loaner car.So much for a luxury car !!! Never again on Lexus.
My wife really wanted a Lexus RC 350 F Sport and we found the one she wanted at Harvey Lexus. Neil Bondy helped us get everything done almost 100% online. This was very important to us due to the fact we would be flying in from Nashville TN to pick the vehicle up. I have bought several new vehicles and the level of customer service from Joe and Neil and the team at Harvey Lexus was by far the best we have seen in years.....Saying all of that i would definitely do the 600 mile trip again to deal with these guys. I can not speak to sales, but Claude, who runs their service department is one of the best I’ve come across. He is fair, communicative, and has a great service mentality. I own a bunch of cars, none of them Lexus, and I still take them here for work.
Harvey Lexus is professionalism at its finest. Very informed in regards to their Vehicles and all the bells and whistles they offer. They know their stuff per say. The final presentation was just that, a presentation of the overview of the Vehicle. I left with a complete printout of all my leasing/buying options, making it easy for comparables.IF I do not go with Harvey Lexus the only reason would be Im an A Plan Family and Friends with another Dealership. As I see it Harvey Lexus is worth the switch from another Make and Model Vehicle for the safety and dependability of their Vehicles alone. I trusted and used their service for more than 2 years. But this time was the worst service I have ever had. I took my car to the service department for doing the oil change and had them test my battery (since I bought my car 3 years ago and never had a battery service). After testing, the service rep told me that my battery was bad and recommended a replacement. I trusted them as I used to and they charged me $140 for a battery + $40 for a “professional installation”.I still believed that I had a good service until I went online to search the information about the battery. I figured out that my old battery (optima D35) would cost $250 if buy brand new. It was kind of awkward to me when throw away the $250 battery and replace by a $140 one. Then I took the “bad battery” (as they said) to 3 different stores (advance auto part, auto zone and o reilly) to see if they all come up with the same result. The wrong thing happened when all the test results from those store that my battery is still working great, there is nothing wrong with it.I would recommend to anyone who are planning to have a battery service at Harvey Lexus Service Department that you all should bring your car to the auto parts store and have them test your battery before thinking about replacing it. All the auto parts store will give you a FREE TESTING and FREE INSTALLATION, or you could easy replace it by yourself.UPDATE: THE ISSUE WAS CORRECTED AFTER DISCUSSING.
Have been servicing my vehicle there for a about a year. They have driven my GX through the car wash with the moonroof open and damaged its undercoating on another occasion. Most recently, and markedly more upsetting, is that they drained the oil from my GX and sent me on my way without replacing it during a routine oil change. Yes, that is right, they let me leave with NO OIL IN MY CAR. Despite the free certificate, that is supposed to compensate for their incompetence, I will not be trusting them to service my vehicle again and neither should you.
I didn’t have the greatest customer experience at this dealership. Walked in and the general manager seemed annoyed that someone young came in like I have no business being at a Lexus dealership. Was never greeted properly. An older couple walked in shortly after and the general manager gave them the happiest and warmest greeting ever and offered them something to drink. They too were visitors inquiring about a vehicle, so neither knew each other. Probably because they mostly work with older clientele and never saw me as a serious buyer. I advise going to Lexus dealerships in metro Detroit because theyre located in a diverse metropolitan area that has experience selling to a diverse clientele. I ended up purchasing a Lexus RX at Meade Lexus of Southfield because they wanted my business. I suggest that this Harvey dealership learns not to place prejudice on a younger looking buyer driving an older vehicle. How do you know how much I make? How do you know if I’ve been saving up to make a big purchase having to wait longer on driving an old vehicle? How do you know that that I changed careers and now make excellent income? - but they saw me as a kid. Sorry that you lost a customer.Here’s a picture of my RX I bought at Meade Lexus. We’ve been customers of Harvey Lexus for a long time! My Lexus RX 300 blew a transmission on a Saturday in Grand Rapids. We live in Lansing and had bought the car there. Coreen waited for us to be towed in, and stayed overtime until we were settled. They’ve always gone above and beyond for us in the years since. We’ve bought 3 cars from them since, and are considering another soon. I highly recommend them!
The salesman, Jonathan, was a pleasure to work with and very knowledgeable. He answered all our questions and explained the car that we were looking at. My mother-in-law wants the car so we will be talking to him soon.

Its a mediocre place salesman are nice they do a nice job at reviewing your car but not a place to sell your car but very nice people.
When I take my vehicle here I know I can trust them to do the job right and at the cost they quote. Service can tend to be a bit pricier than the local mechanic, but I have had odd experiences with local mechanics accidentally scribbling pen on my door or forgetting tools in my vehicle so I prefer to pay a little extra and not worry about odd things like that.It is also nice to be able to work from their waiting room which has a couple pseudo private rooms and an intimidating coffee machine if you dont mind figuring out how stuff works in a room full of people.If you are getting car service that will take longer, they also offer loaner cars which are quite nice if you have a recall or something like that so as not to have to worry about renting a car on your own.

Every time I go to Harvey Lexus for service, it is best-of-class. Best service in town. Today I had to bring my RX in for window coming off track and Mike got me right in and had it fixed in no time. Couple weeks ago I had a separate issue (very rare with this car...always reliable) and again, the service rocks!
Another great experience. Low tire light was on and it was the spare. They got me in and out quickly with a smile. Always the best service in town.
My window wouldnt roll down so I went to get it looked at. They charged me 130 and told me that my bumper to bumper warranty didnt cover it. They never gave me a price as to the cost, otherwise I would have never gotten the service done at the dealership. I asked my local auto shop that I usually take all my cars to and asked them the cost in regards to fixing the window. They told me it was about 40 dollars. So I was charged 100 more at the dealership then at a local auto shop that does way better work. I paid $50,000 for a Lexus and boy is the dealership ever a rip off. Dont use this dealership unless your car has less then 36,000 miles or less then 3 years in age. They will give you outrageous prices. I think Lexus thinks because they have a brand name that they can just charge people anything. What a shame, I really do love my Lexus cars. But I would never use this dealership.
Terrible customer service!! we had an appointment to come in for a specific car, we arrived and the sales manager was busy and didnt have the car ready for us, we were handed off to someone else who was extremely rude and didnt seem to want to help after spending over an hour waiting we finally got a quote for the wrong car. We definitely regret going there and will be getting a car from a different dealership. It is worth making the drive to the East side for a Lexus rather than wasting your time and energy at this dealership. BTW we go no apology for what we went through.
I met Mark ONeill in the used car department about three years ago. While I did not buy a car that day I knew eventually I would. Mark is professional, low key and knowledgeable about the Lexus line of automobiles. Six months later I bought my first Lexus and thirty months later I love it more than the day bought it. My in-laws drove to Michigan to escape Hurricane Irma. They took their Lexus SUV to Harvey Lexus for an oil change and check up. When they picked up their SUV, the service rep told them they DIDNT HAVE TO PAY THE BILL! Harvey Lexus took care of it 100% because of everything theyd been through with the hurricane. THANK YOU!! So generous! They were amazed and thankful.

The best experience I have had with a sales person yet! Knowing we were just looking around, the sales person still took her time to show us around on a busy Saturday and help us find the car that was a best fit. Then proceeded to find out what options and colors would be wanted and offered to search and find us the exact car I want. Kendra was very nice, and helpful!

Bought a used Lexus here a while back. Great car but cannot get the car serviced! Always busy and not many appointments to be had. The salesman gives you a song and dance about how they will give you a loaner car and service is excellent. Quite the opposite experience. Like other reviews, I wish there was another Lexus dealer option in the area due to the lack of service options.

Wow! Contacted them for a price. I always shop multiple dealers. I told Neil Bondy that I have several quotes and his was the highest price. He then begins to argue with me about how I should make sure that I know what they are quoting me and that the advertised prices online typically include huge amounts down. As if I after buying over 20 cars I dont know how to compare pricing. I explained I know how to compare numbers and he said his deal was very good at $1500 below invoice. That included about $3500 in rebates. So in reality he was taking very little discount off of the MSRP. Obviously a dealer can charge whatever they want. Just dont tell your potential customer that he isnt smart enough to compare prices adequately. It wont gain you any business Neil.
Coreen J. provides the best customer service in town! Between her and Lexus, Ill be hard-pressed to drive anything other than a Lexus/Toyota.
Took my car to Harvey Lexus due to a manufacturer recall. The service was scheduled to take 3 hours. I rcvd a call after 2.5 hours stating my car was ready for pickup. I arrived 45 mins later, and for 30 minutes no one could locate my vehicle for one reason or another. The following day I realized someone had been rifling through my center console and an item of value was missing. I contacted the service manager immediately, describing the missing item, and how/why I knew it was taken from my vehicle while it was in their possession. She promised to investigate and get back to me right away. That was 23 days ago and no callback. Meanwhile, I sent in a comment card rating my experience and describing my experience. I rcvd a phone call from a male manager asking for more details regarding the theft. Again, he promised a callback. Sixteen days (16) days later and not a peep. Not Im sorry or please be patient, were still investigating or how can we help?. Nothing. First, they cannot locate my vehicle and feed me a numerous excuses then I cannot get a callback on an item stolen from my vehicle while in their possession. I thought Lexus was a LUXURY dealership. A trustworthy place to service your vehicle and perhaps get good customer service. Maybe not, at least not at Harvey. Saddens me. Ill drive the extra two hours and take my vehicle to Detroit or Chicago in hopes they appreciate their customers!
My mother in law just bought a 2015 Lexus today. The We Owe list included new tires, detail & wash, delivery, pinstripe, paint touch up. The tires are nice. Other than that we are dissatisfied. They told her the pinstripe would include the Lexus logo - not there. They told us theyd detail the car - they barely washed it, no wax, grime inside the doors, wheels where filthy black, interior streaks on the dash board. AND to top it all off they never touched up the paint. For a high end car dealership we expect perfection. We are a long standing family of Lexus owners and our questioning our future with Harvey Lexus of Grand Rapids.
Bought a used car here a few years ago. Nice car and nice people. Service department is quick with regular maintenance. Crashed the car and had it repaired, looks better than when I bought it. Highly recommend not sure what everyone else is talking about.

Claude Segard, Service Manager, is an exceptional and very knowledgeable person. We had a crisis with our Lexus RX 400h, that was purchased from Fox Charlevoix. The vehicle broke down and only then did we find out that Fox Charlevoix refused to service it. We went to Serra Toyota of Traverse City, Audi of Petoskey, Fernilius Toyota Cheboygan, Kring of Petoskey, no one would help.Royal Tire of Petoskey (exceptional people too) and Claude Segard work together over the phone to get us back in action. This was a true experience in finding out who people really are. We will not go anywhere but Harvey Lexus for our next Lexus, EVER, because of the who Claude is.

However, Coreen Jakosh has provided poor customer service and minimal to no effort when approached even for something as simple as a tire. Traveled to Grand Rapids and realized I had a cut in my tire tread on the front wheel. Harvey Lexus took the time to swap my front wheel into my rear so in case of blow out, I will have more control. Great service, thank you. It was free of charge

Go in to get a Freon charge in 1991 Lexus, which by the way has never had any issues, amazing untill we let them change it to charge it and had 1 and days didnt drive but 1o 10 miles Monday dead in the water took it back to Lexus and saying it my alternator,, Im degusted, that car was fine drove 2000, miles not one problem, except air needed charge they did that 2 my car, and wont take responsibility for it, beware to all,

They are sexist and have no respect for women.They made me feel very uncomfortable and intimidated here.

I am giving Harvey Lexus a five star rating because of Coreen Jakosh! I was referred to her about 4-5 years ago when looking for a place to service my older 2006 GX470 (best car EVER!). Though my Lexus has been great to me, its Coreens customer service that keeps me coming to the dealership whenever my car needs servicing. She never makes me feel like I am asking dumb questions, always works with my schedule in a pleasant way (I think she knows my schedule at times better than I do), works to secure a loaner car for me when needed for lengthy repairs (and knows that a small car wont work so well for my family), and makes me feel like her #1 customer at ALL times. She is absolutely wonderful and the biggest reason I will likely buy another Lexus when its finally time to say good-bye to my trusty 470: I do not want to lose such fantastic customer service and know I will NOT find better customer service with anyone else. Period.That said, the only complaint I have is that whenever I call the dealership very rarely does someone answer the phone. Unbelievable! I have stopped doing that because it is so frustrating and now just call Coreens direct line. She always gets back to me within the day (or texts via some text system the company uses).
Even though I brought my seasoned Lexus in for recalls the accommodation exceeded my expectation. I really felt like a Lexus customer and look forward to servicing my IS250 far past 300k!

In October, I took a vehicle to get wheels reconditioned to mint to the Harvey Body Shop. One week later, I find out that a) they subcontracted the work and b) sent the wheels off to the third party prior to coordinating with me. End result is one month later, the wheels FINALLY come back...damaged. The resolve was charge me $1,000 and send them back in to the third party myself because they were under warranty. An exotic and non-Lexus brand vehicle, I chalk it up to limited knowledge and move on.Fast forward to January, my 16 Lexus SUV is brought in to get fixed from a winter road accident (front bumper and grill cracked, need to be replaced). Car is dropped off January 1st, January 5th they advise they ordered parts which normally take a couple days to get in, then a week for the repair. Called for a status 2 weeks later: body shop Manager advises the car is prepped and they are ordering the parts. WHAT?! I call Lexus corporate and dealers being privately owned and franchised, the only resolve is to see yet another 1 star review grace the pages of Google. I would give zero if possible. Due to telematics, I discover as Im typing the review that the car door has just been unlocked for the first time in weeks.It may be branded Lexus but go somewhere else if needed. The body shop down the road advised they can get the parts drove in within the next two days and fix it next week. Harvey may be overworked, understaffed, or whatever the case may be, but the customer unfortunately carries the brunt and still has to cough up the cost of repair. Nice and pleasant people but doesnt seem to help get anything done.UPDATE (Edit 1/18/18): changed rating from 1 to 2 stars at this stage. Halil called me today and responded to this info. The Manager was misinformed ultimately, and parts were ordered on the 9th. As stated, pleasant people; communication has a disconnect between staff though? In any event, I’ll bump the rating to a 3 if they simply get the car done by the 19th, trying to be reasonable.
