I have been taking my 2012 Chevy Traverse to Walker Auto since I bought it in early 2020, and I could not be happier. They are always quick, professional, and polite. I recently needed a tune-up, and Luke was very thorough when explaining to me what needed to be done. The other reviews that say he is rude or not professional have clearly not been in the auto industry. I worked in the auto industry for about 10 years, and most shop owners are the same way. Just because hes not answering the phone with a peppy voice doesnt mean hes being unprofessional. I will absolutely bring my Traverse back here for anything it needs! Thanks again, Luke!

Typically I like to put money in the hands of local businesses over large chains and corporations. I own a newer Volvo s60 that I was looking to have some exhaust work done on. Quick google search took me to Walker autos page. Couple of clicks and it takes you to a section that states walker auto works on exhausts using stainless steel. I believe their website states they specialize in it actually. So I called down to get a quote and set up an appointment. Very grumpy man answered the phone and was all too happy to correct me and state they didnt do exhaust work. He instead pointed me to muffler man. Which is fine, thanks for the reccomendation (muffler man wound up getting my buisness). However I dont appreciate having my time wasted by false advertising and grumpy employees. I will be avoiding this place from now on.

I moved to this area a couple of years ago, and have used their service for several repairs on my Jeep, very pleased with the service and the willingness to solve all my automobile problems. Charlie not only repaired the problem but showed me and explained what the problem was. They seem very busy so they dont always answer the phone right away but its worth the wait. Luke the owner was very helpful. I do recommend them.👍

Pricing is fair and the customer service was excellent. The mechanic I spoke with explained all issues with my vehicle clearly, and what work needed to be done. For any future issues I cant handle on my own I will gladly be returning to this company.

I brought my car in for evaluation, they told me I needed struts all the way around. I was asking some questions trying to figure out if all 4 needed replacing, because the guy said itd be a $1,200 repair. The guy didnt really answer my questions and said start with your tires and basically hung-up on me. I understand they are car guys not customer service guys, but I still found it highly unprofessional and rude. My grandparents said they had an issue with them being rude as well. I most likely wont be back.

These guys do a great job everytime we come there. Best prices on oil changes and work in town. You can always trust them to do the job right and fairly. Love them!

Most definitely come to this shop for any of your auto repairs. Luke is communicative and easy to work with and gives quality service! If you’re going to support any business, support this small one with your business! I am not one to write many reviews, but I felt as though this business deserved a very positive review both on here and on Yelp! The pricing was fair and Luke was able to work with me and fix my car quickly, and now I am able to go home for Christmas tomorrow, and I had brought my car in this morning!!! Most auto body shops around the area couldn’t even give me time today for an inspection, so this was a big sigh of relief for me. :)

Was on a road trip and my car started bucking and running terrible. Google had a few shops in range and Walkers was one of them. Called and was told they will do their best to get me in, but might be a bit of a wait, which is totally understandable. Ended up needing some oil sensor valve for the timing? But between their Diag and repair, it wasnt too long of a wait. Also had them do an oil change and vehicle check over where they told me of a few items that werent pressing but a heads up. Overall they knocked it out of the ballpark. They seemed to know exactly what they were doing and gave me the confidence I wish my shop back home had. A++

What can I say? Three days to fix one valve cover gasket. Dragged grease inside my super clean truck. Just about ruined my floor mat. Not the good place that used to be, sorry Luke just telling the truth.

Purposely filled more than 5qts of oil in my car, when its max fill is 4.2qts. Just so I couldnt pay $16 with the coupon they send out. Then, he proceeded to tell me it would cost more because of taxes! There is no such thing as taxes on labor for an oil change!! Definitely a scam artist, filthy, slimy mechanic. Wont ever be going back. I recommend nobody gives these people business.

I spend more time in my car on the road for work than I do at home, so when I found myself stranded more than 200 miles away from home with no compression in my engine and towing on my insurance that would only get me to Grand Rapids I had to take a chance on Walker Auto Service. Luke was honest with me from the start about what I did and didnt need to get my car up and running again, and even when I decided to not put the money into it and buy new instead he didnt try and give me a heavy handed sales pitch. In fact he didnt even charge me for the estimate. I cant tell you, as a woman in a strange town, how refreshing it was to find a car repair person who simply wanted to do the right thing. Please support businesses like these, there arent enough of them left in the world!

They were the least expensive for what I needed done to my car and the front counter guy was really calm and nice and understanding. They did an excellent job on repairing my car. I will be going back to them for anything else that I need fixed.

I live 54 miles away and needed my alternator fixed ASAP so I could get back home. I called all over GR first at the bigger service shops and NO ONE could get me in for a week or two, I thought all was lost. I searched one more time in walker for service shops and these wonder people came up on Google. As a final attempt I called in tears and told them about the situation and right away they had me bring my car down and fix it. If it wasnt for these awesome men I would be stranded still. :) :) :) :)I have now found my new service shop for my car.

I dont even live in the area anymore and I make sure anytime I have a car giving me issues, I get it taken to Walker Auto. Over the last eight years, I have brought six different cars in for work, and they have been very knowledgeable about all of them. Theyre not pushy, theyre very matter-of-fact, fast, and professional.

Friendly service, family owned for a long time, though a little quick in my opinion to diagnose problems. They get you in and out fast, though its sometimes a hinderance to getting the right service done.

Absolute garbage. The owner is a scam artist, tried to charge me 4x the amount of something i knew i could get for cheap online. Do NOT waste you gas even going here, and its not just me who gets ripped off, anyone ive ever known who has went here has told me luke(the owner) tried or DID rip them off as well!

The people there are not honest . They wanted to charge me 4,000 dollares on something I got done in another shop for 500. I dont recommend it to anyoneAnd I definitely not going there again
