Nicely curated space with a variety of useful and decorative items. Friendly, knowledgeable staff too!
Best antique store in town
Loved everything in the store, I wanted to buy everything, but I am from another state. Every vignette beautifully displays their gorgeous finds. The place is huge. Even if you dont buy anything you can enjoy the visual experience.
I love this place David one of the owners is great and fun to talk to. Chow!
This is the best antique store in Grand Rapids. It isn’t for those looking for collectibles. They specialize in home decor and the palette tends to white. Each area is very well curated and there is no junk. Always a destination while in Grand Rapids!
Love this store. It is mostly repurposed antiques, so if you are looking for a project or low priced item to repurpose on your own you may not find it here. They have done the repurpose project for you, all beautifully done. The most amazing helpful staff by far at any of the other antique shops in the area. They helped get our item to the car without us asking them to help, smiling the whole time. We found our treasure and will be back for more for sure.
If you are looking for carefully selected pieces with great visual interest, make this your first stop! Conversation pieces galore. This is among my favorite shops now, from IL, NY, PA, MD, DC, VA, OH, IN to MI.What you will find: architectural elements, refinished antique dressers/cabinets, rustic/primitive cabinets and cupboards, hardware, plethora of chandelier crystals, crystal chandeliers, industrial pieces from furniture to found items. There is a basement with antique doors, windows, furnace grates, pulleys, door hardware, drawer pulls, crates, metal baskets, architectural salvage and more. The displays in the front two rooms are hands down the best. There is a section of carefully selected plates, platters, dishes, trivets, cups etc.My first visit was yesterday, I am impressed. This shop is up there with NY, DC, and Chicago antique stores! HGTV would be proud!
Amazing store! Kim keeps a diverse and affordable selection of inventory in stock with new items coming in every day. My fiancee and I just bought a very nice table for our new apartment and couldnt be happier!
Would not call it an “antique” shop per se. Far too many refinished and re done items. Original character is lost in most things from these “booths”. Anything original is not very good condition and outlandishly priced. And I say that with the modesty of antiques.
A fun place to look around. I almost always find a little something to bring home.
Fantastic store! Well organized. Good prices. Friendly staff. I will return to this store again and again!
This place is great - a little bit more expensive but they find really incredible pieces that are worth the price.
The selection here really is unmatched in comparison to all other antique shops in the west Michigan area.
Worth a visit. Quality merchandise in a setting of old world charm!
My favorite shop and so well managed. A must see.
Very unique things here that you probably wont find anywhere else. Extremely large variety of items
If you like chalk painted furniture and Joanna Gaines style decor, youll love this place.
Nice items but quite overpriced.
Gorgeous chic decor, and home-made gifts. Always inspiring and ever changing!!
I planned a day to take my wife and daughter on a tour of local vintage and antique shops. Out of the 10 or so shops we visited that day, Bluedoor was definitely the most upscale antique/vintage/repurpose shop we visited.I assume their unique location in Grand Rapids gives them access to auctions, estate sales, and historic pieces found around the area, as they are only a stone’s throw from the historic Heritage Hill area. The street view seems very unassuming in an old storefront with a single entry door. When we stepped inside we were delightfully surprised at the beautiful pieces and layout of the shop. Every piece is very unique, seemed very authentic, and was priced accordingly. We thought this was going to be a shorter visit until we found the stairs to the basement. Downstairs we found smaller pieces, and a treasure of raw material for projects. They seem to save every piece of hardware removed from their own projects. They have buckets of crystal door handles, antique hinges, drawer pulls, sheets of tin ceiling tiles and the list goes on.If you are looking for that unique vintage piece and are willing to pay for it to display it in your home, this is the shop for you. Alternatively, if you are a re-cycler, up-cycler or re-purposer this is the shop for you.
Awesome staff, friendly and helpful. Never shopped here but I deliver things to customers from here, they go over the top to make sure everyone is satisfied!
Nice items, if you like old pieces of furniture with a modern paint job, they do a great job. However, contrary to many other antique stores, their prices are non-negotiable.
A really nice antique shop. They are a little pricy but they have a lot of really nice stuff!
