Called them based on stock listed on their website and 3rd party sites. Stayed on hold for a LONG time twice to finally talk to someone. They said the engine I needed was not in stock. I informed them that it is listed in stock on both their site and 3rd party websites.They blamed things on the pandemic. I understand if someone doesnt have stock, but listing that you do have stock when you dont is an internal issue. I hope they get it resolved because they wasted my time and really didnt seem to care at all.

When I called Grimes I was honestly in panic. I was looking for certain parts for a chevy mailbu that were pretty hard to find. I was greeted by a wonderful and empathetic woman named Sue who reassured me she was looking for what I needed. After no less than a minute later she had exactly what I needed and then took all my credit card info to pay for the parts on the phone all in the same call. She was awesome and definitely a huge asset to grimes auto parts. I would recommend this company for any of your used car part needs.

I do not recommend to shop here, you will get RIPPED OFF !!!, some sort of scam ...bait and switch. What I asked for from online pictures and part numbers for wheels were not the same . I am not sure but they proabably just pull parts and remember them. Parts looks like they rub off old number and renumbered.

They will have your car looking brand new. Our car was declared totaled but not after this shop fixed it. We felt like family when it was over. We are lifetime customers. Grimes Truck & Auto Parts is a large facility with a huge inventory. That said they really deal in wholesale with commercial companies and dont do much to cater to retail customers. I went there looking for a replacement radio/nav for my car. They had two cars on the lot that had the radio. However, they do not strip the interior and electronics from their cars and warehouse them as some other lots do. Instead they leave them in the chopped up cars, exposed to the elements. Both cars had the part but they were not usable as the sun and rain ruined the parts. The most disappointing aspect is the radio was listed on car parts website and their site as good condition which is why we went there.

LKQ & Fenix have better price, better quality, and better customer service. They give different price depending customers gender. If you are a young woman, they give you higher price!

When it comes to used suspension, this is my favorite vendor. They clean the parts and paint them so they look new. They always have a great inventory of late model parts. I highly recommend them to my customers even if I dont get the job.

2 and 1/2 hour wait just for a trunk lid. Thats ridiculous under any circumstance. Dont buy parts here unless you are willing to wait the whole day and bring a lunch.

Grimes has poor customer service.Diego isnt dedicated to helping his clients.Sue calls clients back to threaten them from her personal phone.This whole outfit doesnt seem professional at all.Theyre not dedicated to helping clients get down the road.

Purchased a door for a Taurus from them. Lots of hidden surprises upon arrival. The door had overspray everywhere on the interior weatherstripping and nowhere did it mention in the ad that the door was repainted. Furthermore, the window motor inside was dead. Additionally, it took me nearly a month to receive the door. Thanks a bunch.

Needed a body part to fix my Dodge charger. They had a few in stock. We went to o check them out. I chose what I needed and they cut it out of the old one and helped me load it in my van. Excellent service

Went to pick up a remanufactured 4.6l motor but was told there wasnt any in stock.

Waited their for an hour and the part was just seating their and my salesman (Diego) did not notified me until i confront him about my part horrible customer service. When i ask the guy who was pulling out parts said its been their for a while.

These guys sold me a part over the phone. I drove 650 miles to pick it up. When I get there the guy that sold it to me that goes by the name of Cary tells me they dont actually have it. Then tries to get me to buy a similar part that I dont need at a discount.I go to see the manager and without even letting me say a single word he berates me because I walked into his office without announcement.They thought that since I drove 650 miles I would not leave empty handed and they could sell me whatever they wanted.At the end of it all not a single sorry was heard from any one of them.Dont go to this place.

I called ahead for my part and Steve said that he could pull it for me to pick up the next day. I waited an extra day just to make sure I didnt waste an hour drive to pick it up. When I got there, Steve wasnt there. The other guy told me that my part was on the list to get pulled, but I needed to pay first and return to pick it up tomorrow. If they told me that I had to pay before my part gets pulled, I would have paid for it over the phone. So 2 more hours driving the next day. Four hours total! The fat guy with down syndrome that wears the texas flag hat was nice. But the company wasted my time. Call ahead and make sure they still have your parts. I drove 2 hours to get parts that were supposed to be there. We have several of your vehicles. We will find you the best parts. Once I arrived I waited for an hour for them to tell me they had NOTHING.

You average used parts place. Bought a spindle here, it was defective, but the exchange process was straight forward. They fixed the issue and my car is now running like new. Their prices are very reasonable.

I purchased a used 996 03 Porsche engine with 40k miles. I worked with Jack and he was the best. I negotiated price and he even picked up the shipping cost. The engine has only been in for 100 miles but it seems very solid. The only small complaint that myself and the mechanic had was that some of the hoses could have been unscrewed instead of cut with a knife. There was also some minor shipping damage due to the way the engine was banded to the pallet. Other than that I am very happy. I would highly recommend Grimes to anyone that needed an engine or any other part for that matter.

Good costumer service

Sunroof assembly was only a 45minute pull here at Grimes. Happy about the care given to me. Bring change to buy soda at the machines, you might wait a bit, but there are nice chairs and free coffee.

95% of the customer service people in the Salvage industry are very friendly. They care about their customers. And then theres Steve... who works for Grimes auto parts.I encountered Steve recently trying to make a purchase for airbag module. During the initial phone conversation Steve was ok...other than the fact that he hung up on me when I was trying to pay for the part. Now I understand that most parts guys are paid by commission, so my reaction on him hanging up was nonexistent. I then drove to Grimes to pickup the part and was told by Steve to have a seat whlie they pulled it. Now normal waiting time in a salvage yard is between 1-20 minutes with the sales person informing you if additional time is needed due to busy periods etc. Your time is valuable just like theirs and this is understood... except by Steve.After waiting patiently for over an hour I politely asked Steve how much longer. He immediately got an attitude and became sarcastic. He then scolded me for not paying in advance. When I told him I tried to pay over the phone earlier he scolded me for not speaking fast enough and said it would be another 28 minutes for me to get the part. I left.In my opinion Steve could use some training on customer service. I refuse to give my hard earned money to businesses that allow their customers to be treated this way. I realize my little money that I was going to spend wont make or break Grimes auto parts...but I also realize that this review may make some potential customers go elsewhere!

I was looking for a rear wing for my G8 so I can send the car to paint. I called and made a deal with one of the employees. It was a little bit of a drive but we made a deal so I went to pay for the part in person. When I got there they told me they could not take the part off at that time and that they would send it down to me. I had already made the trip but I agreed to wait for the delivery. This morning I received a call stating that they would no longer sell me the part. They said they will refund me unless I buy a whole trunk from them. Shady business. Will not buy from again. As a business owner I would never do this to a customer.

They are super-friendly. I was hesitant working with a salvage yard in general. But they found the part I needed and assured me that if I had any issues I could bring it back. The part works great and I will certainly do business with them in the future!

Justin has always been helpful and has the best customer care service ever. Always double check with parts to be sure they have it before quoting me and their refund process is fast and convenient . Their prices are outrageous! Talk about a company that tries to take advantage of people. This guy tried to quote me $4500 for a bed for my 2014 Silverado without a tailgate of rear bumper. No thanks! I’ll take my business elsewhere. I ended up purchasing a bed from Super Trux in north Houston. The entire bed only cost me $500 and it was a brand new factory takeoff. I would only go to this shop if it was my last resort!!

Kerry was very much not Professional.I called him on the phone about the part and he said he had in stock and quoted a price.I showed up waited two hours for the part to be removed.When it was time to pay he quoted a higher price. After asking him about why the price was all of a sudden higher he cussed at me and told me to get out.If you do choose to do business with Grimes ask for somebody else.I dont with some angry junkyard sales people before but this guy is out of it.

Horrible company. I went friday 11/07/2014 to order some parts and the sales staff (Steve, older gentleman) was extremely rude to my mom and my 11 year old sister. My mom was trying to order some parts and asked them to please make it as quick as possible since we needed them ASAP and Steve began to be very degrading, rude, and had a completely unacceptable behavior saying, Shut up or I wont sell you anything. He then began to yell obscenities at her and threatened to not even service her! They began to insult her racially in front of my little sister. We tried to contact the business owner and were always given the run around that he wasnt available, of course trying to avoid and cover up the problem. I will never recommend anyone do business with a company that doesnt take responsibility for their employees actions and doesnt treat their customers with respect.
