Renting a uhaul truck from this location was super easy. They had the truck available that worked for what we needed. Would definitely use this location again.

They gave me the wrong information about pricing on units. Also, you can’t access your unit unless it is outside after 7pm. The access codes only work on one keypad, the keypad that doesn’t lead to any entrances. They also do not answer the after hours phone. I pay $130 a month and don’t have access to my belongings. The staff is also very rude when you have questions. Worst storage unit place in town.

I needed a hitch done, and they scheduled an appointment for 10, but didn’t even start on it till 12... When I was supposed to pick it up. I ended up tripling my wait time. After driving to AZ, to pick up the trailer, they informed me the job wasn’t complete. The wires were not connected, instead taped up under the car. I had to scramble, and find another place that would finish the job, that I already paid for. Don’t go here, they won’t do what you pay for.

I rented from the 2949 North location in Grand Junction, CO. Asked the general manager if there was a long distance discount. He said yes. He said .59 cents a mile. Computer gave me .40 cents a mile. Computer gave me the same rate on my second rental. On the 3rd one to finish my storage unit, this man attacked my integrity, basically and belligerently cussed me out, and told me to leave his store, claiming I was trying to take advantage of him and that the first two rental rates were just a favor. I believe he was trying to charge me more to make some kind of monthly quota by entering the information into the computer differently. Now he is writing me emails telling me how stupid I amI think because I turned him in to Corporate.

Picking up after hours by phone?This Is What You Need To Know AndThey Dont Tell You.They will call the alternate phone number you have to give them. Since my pick-up time was 4AM my son didnt answer and my friends phones went to answer machine. No truck for me! I left for Junction at 3AM. At arrival it took 30 min. being on hold before I got connected with their check-in system. We chat for over an hour while I was on their website. I even gave them my brothers phone number, traveling in Europe 8 hours ahead and awake. But that they couldnt do. They told me to wait until 7AM when this location opens. So much for after hour pick-up. By 6AM my phone battery was drained, my appointment schedule off (and no, Im not going to call my customers at 6AM to tell.I will be 3 hours late). With not enough battery left for my GPS to even find their locations I left U-Haul Grand Junction to arrive home at 7.30AM. So be aware. Your family or friends sitting on stand-by by the phone at your pick-up time to answer U-Hauls questions is a condition for you to get a truck.

Possibly the worst service ever, didnt finish attaching the wires on the family car, so we had to take a detour during our trip. Still charged for the whole process. When I called to see what to do, they put me on hold for over an hour. I ended up hanging up before anyone couldve answered. Figure out how to answer your phones, and finish your JOBS.

My wife was told the equipment rented $100.19, and that was only from 3pm to 9am the next day. When it should be for 24hrs. The app that customers are supposed to use to verify information was not working. The mileage was off as well as the amount of gas, so she was told by the employee it would be taken care of. When returning the equipment the general Mgr was not wearing his mask. He said that going to be $275.??. After being asked to put his mask on before continuing to discuss the incorrect amount being charged he was i’m mediately mad. He continued to attempt to refer us to the paperwork he just filled out on his handheld rather than to listen to us once. He was more focused on pressuring us to pay the incorrect amount rather then resolving the problem. He continued to yell and talk over us. When he was asked to calm down and to listen to us so we could explain the situation he asked if he was being threatened. I told him he is not being threatened, and informed him the entire conversation was being recorded. I said he just needs to listen for one second. He was extremely mad his outburst was being recorded. Once we finally got him to listen my wife showed him a picture of the mileage and the gas. He realized there was a mistake on their part, and we where changed $105.41. This was a simple training opportunity to the previous associate. I’m baffled that the general manager was trying to intimidate us in to paying such an outrageous amount. He even imputed the pick up and drop off mileage incorrectly... what corners are they trying to cute here. Im worried how many other customers are being forced to pay more then needed, or being so mistreated. This is poor business practice in general, but to treat any one like this during such uncertain times with this pandemic is absolutely immoral.

The worst customer service, and possibly even security (I don’t know if my things have been taken because I can’t get a call back!) I was called and very rudely informed that my storage unit was unlocked (I’ve been in a different state for two months) and that I needed to come down and lock it. When I explained the situation, the lady told me they would have found it earlier if I had left it because they walk through daily. So knowing my valuables may or may not still be there, I waited on a call that never came. I called back and the message had not been passed on, so I explained again. After I was assured I would get a call back from the GM (which I did not,) I called back and was informed by a man at the front desk that he hadn’t passed the message on or looked into anything either. Still haven’t received so much as a phone call or email, and I would strongly advise against using this location for storage. The problem is still not solved, and the people working here could literally not care less.

Management needs to look very closely at these people.man who was supposed to help us with our propane tanks did not offer to help carry them or even show us where to refill them.I got out of the car to talk to him and explain to him about his lack of service and he screamed at us to never come back again. Woman at the servicedesk was very rude and would not explain where we were supposed to go.

If I could give this location 0 stars I would. The Lady (assuming the manager as she was wearing a green shirt and everyone else were wearing brown shirts) was extremely rude. I came to return my trailer, it was 7:11pm and they had just closed (I didn’t know they closed at 7). But, She was there along with 3 other employees still. She came to the door and I let her know I needed to return a trailer. She proceeded in a very rude tone, to tell me to go unhook it myself and that they were closed. She also pointed at the their business hours stating read the hours we closed at 7 you’re too late. I let her know that I saw employees there and asked if they would help really quick as it’s a 6x12 enclosed trailer. She again yelled at me that they were closed and to go do it myself and then walked away. I understood that they were closed. But as a GM of a business, I would never have treated a customer that disrespectfully or have my sales associates act in that manner and would always expect them to go above and beyond in a situation like that. I am very disappointed in how this was handled. Needless to say I unhooked it myself tried to complete my drop off using the app on my phone and nothing would work. I called customer service 800 number and they told me I have to go back in the morning to finish checking it back in, such a waste of time and diesel.Update: Drove down there this morning at 7, Spoke with Lonny the GM, he was apologetic about how I was treated yesterday and addressed it with the Employee who treated me that way. He made it as right as it could be at this point.

THE BEST SERVICE. Moving is horrible and after experiencing many issues with movers, trucks and another uhaul facility. The team here especially, the manager Lonny, went way out of their way to fix an issue they did not cause. He even volunteered to drive a truck back himself over 300 miles. I would not hesitate to trust this location with any moving needs.

Terrible service, they overcharge and will lie to you about charges. Ive been a loyal customer to them for years but every time they try to throw in a hidden fee with no real reason, last time they tried to charge me,an extra $1000 with a sketchy excuse, please do not trust these people, they will steal every dime you have. Truly regret going through them.

Great people! Ben Kruger helped me get set up with a trailer today. While checking the functionality of the lights, we noticed that things werent working correctly. Without missing a beat, Ben got underneath the vehicle on the wet parking lot and worked until he discovered the problem. Although it was a fairly complex wiring issue, he identified it in no time. He gave me an estimated cost and repaired it promptly. When I think of the best people this country has to offer, I think of people like Ben Kruger. I was in a time crunch and he delivered! Thank you so much!

I set up a reservation for a box trailer I was told I can 9nly sldo a 5×8 with my 1996 chevy k1500 Silverado. Then I go to pick it up after haveing confirmed the trailer. I waited an hour to be told it was at another store when I should have been told the day before. Then I got charged for a 6×12 after I was told I glcould only carry a 5×8 while I know my truck is more than equipped to carry 6×12.

If I could give them zero Stars I would. Every person in there is extremely unprofessional half of them are on drugs they all work there because no one else would hire them. Every employee back there especially the mechanics so whatever they are that are there early in the morning are complete and utter degenerates.

Good prices for short rental periods or for long hauls. Highly recommend using them as opposed to paying delivery prices for furniture or appliances.

Depends on the day whether u get good service or bad. Ive dealt with some extremely nice and respectful people, then the next time completely ignorant. I have stood in line waiting to be helped while 2 different people walked in the door and got service before me.

I have been to over a dozen UHauls around the country including recently in Grand Junction. Products are a fine except the packing tape. It is of very poor quality, crumpling over and over - frustrating and almost useless. The real problem w/U Haul, however, is the service. They are ALWAYS understaffed. And the staff that are there are very slow, and often just plain ignore their customers. If you want to rent from U Haul, make sure you have lots of extra time to kill, cause youre gonna be there a minute.

I called to reserve a trailer and they first off did not have the trailer i had originally asked to reserve but thats whatever the problem I really had is that when i made my reservation i was told i HAD to put a Credit Card on file but i didnt have my Credit Card that i was going to use for the rental on me so they reassured me that if i gave them one of my other cards that they would not charge the card till the trailer was picked up and that when the trailer was picked up they would get the new card number and make sure that it was charged on to the right card (I ASKED THEM 5 TIMES IF THEY WERE SURE THEY WOULD CHARGE THE RIGHT CARD AND NOT THE FIRST ONE I GAVE, I EVEN CALLED 15 MINUTES BEFORE THE TRAILER WAS PICKED UP AND ASKED AGAIN IF THEY WERE SURE AND THEY SWORE THEY WOULD CHARGE THE RIGHT CARD). After all of this they charged the wrong card and when i called to talk to the manager that swore this wouldnt happen i heard him in the background on the phone tell the lady that answered to tell me he was on the phone and that he would call me back later which he has still failed to do and so it over drafted that account costing me more money. This was just ridiculous!!!!

The guy that helped me was helpful, but failed to mention I had a return time on the receipt. So I got the trailer back 3 hours late and was charged $34. Not to mention I had to drive out of my way to get the trailer in the first place, they did not have an auto transport for me in Glenwood and called me 2 days before telling me I had to go to gypsum, 30 min away, to get the trailer. I ended up picking up in grand junction after I changed my schedule.

The lights were all off at 6:30pm and they dont close until 7. I went inside and no one was to be found for 10 minutes. Finally a lady came running inside saying it would be a few minutes before she could get to me. I was only buying a couple boxes. Another man was waiting because he had a reservation. They need more employees and better customer service.

We reserved a 26 truck plenty in advance. When we didnt receive the 24hour confirmation-we called them and confirmed that we were on the schedule to pick up the truck at 9:30 the next morning. My husband and I drove from Sun Valley, Idaho to move his mother-in-law who has Parkinsons from Grand Junction to Sun Valley. When we went to pick up the truck they actually said to bad there is nothing we can do. If I didnt have to give a star in order to leave a review I wouldnt have.

Staff withheld pricing and fees. Staff was unnatentive and short when addressing questions. Upon returning equipment staff was running around cursing loudly as if me returning the equipment was a nuisance. Overall service was not appealing. Fist time I have issues with uhaul in general.

Rented a truck here after they agreed to match the penske rate we had.I pay and look at my bill and notice the girl charged me for the insurance I declined 2x. I brought it to the attention to the girl up front she apologized said she had corporate on a direct chat and would put the request for a refund threw because they cant do an in store refundI waited because apparently the truck we were originally set to rent needed services and the service guy didnt want to do it that day.That evening I got home and called corporate to ensure the refund was entered.It never was.Corporate entered it and I received a call the next morning from the GM at the store who refunded the money and said the girl up front was still learning. Rather than asking for help she just lied.Fast forward to our trip. We took the truck from GJ co to GB wi.Halfway there (iowa) my husband noticed that going over 60 causes the truck to not function properly it was throwing cash signals and just driving all around odd. Which leads me to think the service guy didnt feel like servicing many of the trucks.We also encountered a bad leak in the mother attack soaking boxes and anything else up there.Be careful with this store. Rent from another location if possible or just avoid them.We typically use penske for the reason of uhaul having crappy trucks and service. We will never recommend this company to anyone.

They couldnt get my storage unit number right in their system, #1524. They kept saying my unit was 1530 until i got sick of them breaking my locks and finally showed the brainless morons my contract. After changing my lock they agreed they were wrong and gave me a new one. I lapsed on my payment and tried to get my stuff to no avail because they had drilled my lock and put another one on. To make it clear uhaul does have their own locks for locking out units, but they ocxasionally will drill off your locks and make mistakes without owning up to it. I managed to pay up my storage bill and to no avail my keys dont work again. This time they act rude and wont cut the lock telling me i have to get a locksmith. If your gonna sell a uhaul lock, endorse it with your name, then you should also be willing to help an up to date and paying customer to get it off. If it was 30 days past due im sure you guys would have no problem cutting the lock and selling my stuff. You guys are shady and disappreciate your service. That wod explain why almost 20+ units are empty!!!!

I was there to get my stuff out of storage and they had their trucks blocking access to the parking area for the unit I was in. We parked else where then one of the workers complained to another in front of other customers and myself using the f word every sentence. On top of that when I came back to return the furniture pads they closed early that day for no good reason. When I complained today since I had to go back again to return the pads they said it’s tough luck that is just the way they do it.I will never use them again.

Getting help take so long sometimes theres only one person ahead of you but for some reason their system just take so long for your rentals or purchases everything is long so even if youre at the counter youre going to be at the counter for a long time sad to say I was pretty embarrassed the person that assisted me was not wearing a bra its not professional to me
