Derek at the Grand Junction store is amazing, he get 6 stars!But had to give 4 because of the companys customer service. Particularly the automated help lines, and 24/7 help line. Infuriating and unnecessary. To get help you have to drive to the shop or rate them poorly on here or trustpilot.

Derick at the 545 25 road location in Grand Junction Co was so kind and professional and was able to install my interlock device while calibrating no less than 4 cars at the same time... Smart start as a company rating is 1. It is a terrible money hungry conglomerate. False lock out charges and fees, Rude incompetent customer service, shotty hardware.The local servicing shop is the only thing that makes me happy I use their service. The main technician Derek is very skilled, talented and professional. He really does make a bad situation that comes with a DUI as good as it can.Out of all interlock services smart start is the best to use. But I hope that they value employees because without Derek id suggest another service.

I heard about Smart Start in a group discussion about which ignition interlock company is the most affordable. I was not let down when I followed through with the recommendation. Not only is Smart Start the least costly place I could find, but Derek made the whole experience pleasant and easy.

Dont bother with other interlock companies smart start has the best price and the best customer service by a long shot (I called all other vendors) + the devices are top notch and very accurate. I had the pleasure of working with Derick at the grand junction CO location he informed me in depth on every aspect of the process as well as every function of the device and installed the device in a timely manner. He was very friendly and actually managed to turn getting an interlock into a pleasant experience. The lady who answered the 800 number was very courteous and informative as well cannot speak highly enough about this company or its employees.

When I first had to get the breathalyzer installed in my truck I was very upset.However Derek made the entire experience much better! He was incredibly friendly and personable. I actually look forward to going in to get my calibration done. I would very highly recommend this shop.. the crew does a great job on the install and are very friendly.

Derek at the grand junction location is awesome,and deserves a raise. Hes always super friendly and did his best to get me in and out of there quickly. Its kind of a pain to have to come in every month for calibration, but Derek made it easy and quick . Even though smart start opened another location in town, I always came to this one because of the friendly staff. Give this man a raise !

Best service ever! Derek is personable, efficient and knowledgeable- hes helped troubleshoot many of my issues. Ive tried other locations in town but will always come back to this one even though I live across town.

Derek is super helpful and location is very accommodating. I work all week and getting my unit serviced in delta without missing work is impossible. Well worth the 30 min drive to gj to get service that works with me not against me.

Derek (local shop operator/tech) is the most helpful person Ive encountered during this entire interlock process. He is professional, friendly, and knows the technical equipment specs inside and out. There is no comparison between Smart Start and other three providers, at least in the Western CO area.
