Actually stopped by to ask for a part for my own repair. They took the time to help. This speaks VOLUMES of their character. Quality work is important which Im sure they perform. Character is equally important, which they have.

This place found and fixed the issues that AC Transmission could not. Transmission is solid after they have spent time to rebuild correctly. Even adding a cooler to keep it cool. Thanks guys!

OBD PO741 code came up on my Silverado Sunday night on my way across the USA. Monday morning I waited for Performance Trans to open. When Don arrived he listened to my problem and then Don, Jim and Carlos fitted me into their schedule and installed new solenoid. I got my truck back by Monday afternoon. They are the best!

Had a transmission replaced for my 2001 Toyota 4runner. These guys work very hard in a little shop and they are always willing to help other local mechanics with the little parts inside a transmission theyll never find anywhere around here. If you are someone who wants the inside of a transmission too work right with no corners cut and only one expensive visit for a big repair this is the place to go. If you want something tougher than stock for your big diesel pick up or something for your rockcrawler that wont snap its going to be the shop you want. Or if you are another mechanic needing some little nylon thingiemajigs nobody in America keeps in stock you might get it free out of a toolbox junk drawer. There isnt a lot of transmission shops around western Colorado but with what we have to choose from this is the one you want for good parts and good work so bring your wallet and youll get what you need or go to the others and get a scrapyard job. I have seen the insides of many locally rebuilt transmissions and this shop just doesnt mess them up and does them right. If you have problems and have to come see them again youll most likely find out that it wasnt their fault. They beat Baker by far in honesty and price and build with good parts you wont get from Family Auto. Youll leave paying them for more than you get and elsewhere and youll probably never need a warranty for the work because you wont ever need to come back.

Don seems like a really great guy. No bullshit like alot of other shops, he was fair on his flat rate, real close on his time estimate, and even came back to the shop late so I could pick up my truck. Don also seems to have a good understanding of modifying transmissions for high performance applications, will most certainly recommend him and his guys.

After visiting several  different  auto shops  in Grand Junction, CO no one could tell me what is causing that damn noise. Since Performance Transmission in Grand Junction, CO repaired my car two weeks ago I can shift the gears as smooth as I used to when the car was new. Excellent place to leave your car with a fast and effective service.

They told me they could look at my transmission tomorrow for 3 days in a row. Now they cant see me for 2 more days! Dont waste your time...

The man who helped us was very rude and barely made any effort to help us out. Would not recommend due to the extremely bad customer service.
