**FRAUDING A DISABLED VETERAN** Im posting on my sons behalf he had engine problems and VW took over 5k from me to replace his motor. It took them over 6 months and the car has been back on 5 different occasions for 5 different problems and has since had a catastrophic failure. When my son posted a poor review about the service he received they told him not to bring his car back. And refuse to cover the faulty motor they installed. I am a retired disabled veteran and I will not allow these crooks to take advantage of me, my son or anyone else. **DO NOT SUPPORT THIS COMPANY SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE**

All I needed was an antifreeze top off before an out of town trip. I would have done it myself but the antifreeze suggestion from the parts store directly conflicted with the owner manual and I just got this car in April, its the newest car Ive ever owned and wasnt about to risk messing it up. These guys were awesome, topped it off, explained which specific coolant I need I the future and didnt charge for it.

Absolute scam in the service department. Took my car in June and was inconvenience for 2 weeks while they fixed my car supposedly. 2 weeks later the dash lights came on and making noises. Took it back in supposedly fixed again. Inconvenienced again. Third time in needs more repairs Nickle and dime you. Oh and not once offered a loaner car. Absolute rude staff 😒 beware service tech and service manager are a joke. Dont buy Volkswagen you will be disappointed and inconvenienced for services.

On a recent road trip to Moab, Utah from Florida we had a engine coolant leak. Grand Junction VW is the closest VW dealership to Moab. I called and spoke with Gary. He squeezed us in without an appointment and had paperwork ready to go when we got there. The mechanic George took a look at the problem and Gary let us know that there was a problem with the water pump which was causing the leak. Gary then arranged for the shuttle driver Kelly to take us downtown without us even asking so our kids wouldn’t have to wait in the dealership. Kelly was a true gentleman and brought me back to get our luggage out of the car when we found out the repair was going to be an overnight job. George came in on his day off to finish the job so we could get back on the road. We made it back to Florida without any issues and the car handles like a new car now. My wife and I were super impressed with the service and professionalism of Gary, Kelly and George, and Chris the service manager. Also thanks to the gentleman who climbed on a ladder to get heavy suitcases and a cooler out of the car when we found out we had to stay overnight. I highly recommend the service department at Grand Junction VW.

After spending 6000$ and 6 months of my time Im still having issues with the motor they installed in my car. Its been back on 5 separate occasions. and just left me stranded after spewing coolant all over. after contacting VW of America and filing a complaint about the ongoing issues. i was told by Chris the service manager NOT to bring my car back if I had any issues...he told me if I was going to complain i can go somewhere else. and cut all ties with me because i was honest about the poor service i received. unethical and unacceptable EDIT: Response to your BS reply. You guys knew from day one what parts were on my car and had been servicing it for years prior. how about the fact that VW dealerships offer APR aftermarket parts and tunes directly from the dealership with no issues. your just grasping at straws and trying to save face. but with a bold face lie. BOTTOM LINE I SPENT 6K AND 6MONTHS. YOU FIXED NOTHING I HAD TO BRING IT BACK ON 5 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS AND ITS STILL DISABLED AFTER YOU GOT PAID IN FULL. THEN WHEN I FILLED OUT YOUR SURVEY HONESTLY WITH A POOR REVIEW YOU GOT MAD AND CUT ALL TIES WITH ME.....UNACCEPTABLE AND UNETHICAL NO WOUNDER THE BBB GIVES YOUR COMPANY A 1 STAR RATING. ps: alot of the mechanics and salesmen, you know the people that actually run the place. all think your in the wrong and unprofessional for the way you treated me Chris

During the second day of our road trip from L.A to Colorado the temperature light of our Audi start flashing, somehow we made it toGrand Junction and at 7:30 AM were at the door of VW service department. Gary Hoaglund took care of us, at 8:30 the problem had been diagnosed and 45 minutes later we were out and on our way, happy and relived. All for a very reasonable charge. We were super grateful to find such a prompt, courteous and reliable service. Thanks Gary!

The salesman I dealt with was Nathan Saelens and he was wonderful very personable, helpful and professional. He always kept in contact with me and was very helpful before I even decided to purchase a vehicle from GJ Volkswagen. Once I decided to try and buy a car he did everything possible to get me approved for financing and worked very hard to help me achieve my goal. I was shopping for a used vehicle for months and had an awful experiences. I was discouraged and didnt enjoyed shopping for a car anymore I actually dreaded it. Pretty disappointed in our latest experience with this dealership. As soon as we pulled in we had two salesmen right outside our car like sharks smelling blood in the water. Ultimately, Frank the Tank appeared to have won the opportunity to assist us.My wife and I dont shop for cars often, so when we do we like to drive multiple cars. Frank insisted we drive a diesel Passat, we drove it down to Canyon View park and immediately decided it wasnt for us. We brought it back and asked to test drive an Accord. Frank insultingly asked Do you know what you even want?. I find that pretty insulting that after driving one car the salesman spits out a statement like that. We immediately stopped shopping with Frank. Ive never been treated like that when buying a car!We ultimately ended up going to another dealership and had a fantastic buying experience. I most likely wont consider this dealership next time I am in the market to buy a car.

Worked with Gary on diagnosing and fixing my car using my warranty. Gary was SO wonderful! He called back when he said he would, he explained in a way that make sense, he was the best ever. Unfortunately the dealership wasn’t able to do a head job instead of full engine replacement, so I had my car taken to Alpine Autohaus who also did a great job. It was around $300 for Gary to diagnose bent intake valves from the timing chain slipping off.

Its not every day that you go to a car dealership and get treated like a person instead of like a $ sign. This was my experience here. Nate, Travis and Skyler were amazing and they gave me an amazing deal. Ill be making this place my 1st stop next time I am looking for a vehicle and to whoever reads this, just in case youre on the fence about buying a car, take a leap and land on this place. Everything about this transaction was flawless! My husband was out there visiting when our 2016 Explorer lost its water pump, while traveling, out of state, during a pandemic. Frank the Tank took excellent care of us and put us in a 2020 Atlas in less than 3 hours!

Came in for service. Was told an hour wait by the person scheduling. When I showed up was met by a rude woman who clearly didn’t want to help me. She said the lady on the phone was wrong and that it would take at least half a day. Not offered a loaner but a ride home, so then I could take a cab back to pickup. Thanks a lot! Just so you know all potential Subaru buyers, the service sucks once they get your money. If I could give less stars I would.

Issues repairing vehicles:2017 with less than 20k miles on it: Heater took 30+ minutes of driving to start working. This was very long after the 5 minutes it took for the engine to come up to temperature. They spent 2 weeks with the car and did $1500 worth of parts and labor and told us it was fixed. Guess what, it wasnt fixed, exact same issue. They insisted it was fixed, so we didnt bring it back to them. We took it to Alpine Autohaus and they diagnosed it as the water pump in 1 day on a Friday, and had the parts in and fixed it the following Monday. Works great now, no thanks to the dealer.

GJ Volkswagen admin were spraying and cleaning the show room and cars the entire time I was there. They were making sure everything was clean and safe! I drove 3 different cars and each one was wiped down before I drove it. I was in and out of the dealership in under 2 hours. I didn’t have to wait to get help and their escorts on golf carts brought me cold water! The best part is their location is next to the I-70 and National Monument which is prime for taking a test drive.Travis Brown is coolest Volkswagen dealer in town!

The employees are actually friendly and knowledgable for such a new dealership but they lack in the parts department during the Corona Virus closed shop policy or employees cant return phone calls in a reasonable amount of time or if at all. The sales staff isnt overbearing or dying to make a sale but they could be a little bit more attentive to who has eyes and possible purchasing power in the showroom or on the asphault lot. I bet more people drive by and go look somewhere else rather than wait for someone to ask if they can help. In the Grand Valley we needed a vw dealer for sure and they are here butnow we need one that just works.

It is important to know that my wife and I shop very infrequently for vehicles, since we tend to chose carefully, maintain regularly, and keep or vehicles until they just dont meet our needs any more. Our last purchase was in 2005, and that pickup, as well as the other two cars we own, are still running strong. However, the 1997 Saturn just wasnt as comfortable as when we bought it 21 years ago, so off we went to window shop, in preparation for the next purchase. Other errands, as well as fate, had us making our first stop at Grand Junction Volkswagen, where Duane Blair greeted us warmly. We were looking for a specific Beetle, and Grand Junction had what we were looking for when no one else did. The only issue was that they were 977 miles away from our home in Iowa (thats right, no one close had what we were looking for). Everything had to be right for us to even consider making that trip.We couldnt have been more pleased with the outcome. We were able to negotiate a fair price and the sales staff was very accommodating with our requests for information--all of this took place over email and two friendly phone calls! We took Amtrak to Grand Junction, and we were picked up at the station by our sales person, Megan (thank you!). The facility was tremendous, the staff was very friendly, and the car was ready to be delivered. After the paperwork was completed, the dealership provided us a free nights stay downtown and a delightful meal at a local restaurant.The trip was long, but Megan, Jimmy (the sales manager), and Erin (finance) were absolutely terrific and accommodating even late in the day on Saturday. We even got a change to meet the general manager, Shawn Harrison, who was very attentive and interested in my wifes life-long love and ownership of VW Beetles (1962 and 2004, previously). Update: great customer service, but not exactly trustworthy. I was promised my car was in excellent condition, but it needed various repairs soon after leaving the dealership. $1000 on a front end brake and alignment overhaul, $500 on the rear brakes, a busted dip stick tube, etc... I get that I bought a 15 year old used car, but I expect transparency and honesty when buying a vehicle.Tyler Butch Brown is a very good salesman. I recently purchased a used vehicle from Grand Junction Volkswagen. My car shopping experience has always been a nightmare... high pressure, pushy salesman, long waits. Not so with this purchase!We had been talking with Duane Blair about our need for a new car for a while, he showed us cars that would fit our desired budget and needs. The day we decided that we were ready, we went into the dealership... and he was out in a test drive with other customers. In hindsight, we should have called and made an appointment :-)We were sitting in one of the two cars we had narrowed it down to when another salesperson approached us. We told him that we had been talking to Duane, and would like to wait for him. He said no problem and to let them know if we needed anything while we waited. After about 15 minutes of us checking out the two cars, another salesperson, Megan, came over to us and said Duane was not back yet and asked if we would like to make an appointment for later in the day? She then asked if we had driven the cars yet. When we said no, she offered to take us out to drive the car while we waited for Duane. She also said not to worry, Duane would still get our sale, but she could help out by taking us to drive them. We went for a test drive and decided on one of them. When we got back to the dealership, Duane had returned and she turned us back over to him.Long story, short... we bought the car from Duane and he and the dealership made the whole process smooth and easy. No pressure, easy financing options, and most important, fast. From the time we decided which car we wanted to being handed the key fob took about 2 hours.Two of my children purchased cars from Duane and Grand Junction Volkswagen prior to us making this purchase and all three purchases were smooth and easy. They take the time to treat you with respect and do not use high pressure tactics. I would highly recommend this dealership if you are in the market for a new or used car :-)

Christopher Von Holt was the dealer that I dealt with and I enjoyed his service. He was knowledgable on the vehicles I looked at and helpful when I was deciding to lease or buy. He was prompt on calling to see if he could answer any more questions and was pleasant to deal with on the phone and in person.

We came in to check out the Jetta. Adam was so knowledgeable and freely shared what he knew, but was not pushy at all. He respected our wishes and didnt pressure us to do anything. It was refreshing. He was honest and kind and patient as we worked it out. We felt like he really cared about us. After the purchase he made sure we understood the features of the car and even set some up for us.

Travis Brown is an excellent people person and genuinely loves his job and does it exceptionally well. I came in looking at a car on the lot and Chris went the extra mile to ensure that it was what I wanted and worked with me on making the deal happen. Our experience at Grand Junction VW was exceptional. Travis was patient with us as we compared different models and kept in touch with us as we continued to look at cars. Grand Junction had a used vehicle that I wanted. It was the right car, at the right price, at the right time. I communicated with Chris within 24 hours of spotting the car. Agreed on price and bought my plane tickets from Austin, TX. Chris picked me up at the airport and we went to the dealership. I was in and out of there in less than an hour with my new, to me, car. Be very careful buying a used car from this dealership. I just bought a used car from them a few months back that was being prominently displayed in the front corner. They said the car was perfect and said one of my friends owned it and loved it. Come to find out after breaking down three times they lied about its condition. When my mechanic called them to see what was wrong with it, they told him that my car was a wholesale car and they told me not to buy it, because they were trying to get rid of it.

I do not typically write reviews, and seldomly write bad ones. However, I do feel I would like to warn people about my bad experience. We are about an hour from GJ so we were looking at vans online. We found one we liked at this dealer. We even negotiated a price. We went to look at it with intent to buy and it was not the van they advertised. It was advertised with a moon roof and a DVD player among some other amenitites, which it did not have. We felt like maybe it was an honest mistake as they said they bought it on auction and it sounded like a miscommunication in their company. The problem I have is that they have not changed the false advertising on their website after several days. Just feels deceitful, there was also not an apology, which to me feels like bad customer service. Obviously, if you are not shopping online this would never be an issue but a warning to those who are.

We are very happy with our new VW and also the best car buying experience weve had in 40 years of buying cars.We quickly found and purchased the car we wanted.Butch was attentive and helpful without the hard sell.Wish the process of refusing all the extra service packages didnt take so long but all in all it was easy and almost fun.Highly recommended to all.

I stumbled on to this car lot, thinking they would not have anything I would like. Duane immediately came over as I started to look at one vehicle. The first thing he did was ask if I had worked with any other salesperson. He didnt want to take a commission from someone. I really appreciated that. Duane took time to help me and when I said I had an appointment, he suggested I take the vehicle to my appointment so I could try it out.Initially we were not very close on an agreed price, but everyone worked very hard to help me come up with a payment I was comfortable with.Duane and every other person at Grand Junction Volkswagen was very professional and friendly. They were very interested in my business, but not high pressure. I would highly recommend this dealership.

We did not have a good experience here. Manager quickly intruded to make it perfectly clear there wouldn’t be any negotiating. Beware of saying how much you can afford. As soon as the manager knew the maximum monthly payment we could pay, they wouldn’t budge on anything. We were given insulting offers on our trades and nothing off the cost of a vehicle they had sitting for over 4 months! The manager ran us out of there trying to get us to spend every dime we had or buy another vehicle we didn’t want. Contacted salesman after we left, but he didn’t call back like he said he would. Would not feel comfortable returning even if they had another vehicle I’m interested in. I believe their comment below is just for show, but thanks anyways. There are plenty of vehicles in the world- my advice is go somewhere else!
