I really appreciate how John has helped me with my new bike purchase. I have been looking for a specific bike and none of my local shops in Florida could get one in stock until sometime next year 2021. Wayne Cyclery had one in stock 1200 miles+ from my home. I contacted them and John was a joy to work with to complete my purchase. He packaged the bike and had it ready to ship to me. Got the bike in great shape and I’m really pleased with the customer service and the fantastic communication Mr. Wayne provided. If one day, I find myself near Grand Isle NE I will make sure to stop by and say hello. Thank you Wayne Cyclery for a wonderful experience.

Not much inventory after the Covid virus affected the area . The staff is very helpful in locating what you are looking for through other outlets though .

Really appreciated how John answered all my questions and educated me over the phone. Respect that during this time of Covid 19, John let me know that if I wanted to enter the store a mask was required, if I didnt have one, he would be glad to meet with me outside! Thanks John for doing what you can to help keep our community safe!!

I need to drive three hours to get to there, but Wayne Cyclery is the only place I shop for bikes or parts. John (the owner) is knowledgeable, friendly and in every way a great guy to do business with or simply have a good conversation. AND hes a home brewer! Great shop, great selection, great supply of parts and accessories and a great place to kill an hour just browsing. Check it out.

Bought parts and equipment from John in 1979--when he was a smaller business at Koenig & Locust Sts. Lots of fun cross-Country Skiing!Bought first real Bike in 1981--a Ross Super Gran Tour XV Professional--still have the bike--still ride it. Since then have purchased maybe 8 plus bikes for the kids, etc., including a recumbent from John. Always perfect, always adjusted/fixed when necessary--never a hassle. Just talked to him on the phone about swapping equipment onto a new frame--for Med School bound son. Perfect advise on how to do it! I dont know how he and Teresa do it, but we have a real jewel in our midst.( The Ross is now 36 years old and worth more than I paid for it!) John sells quality stuff. Wonderful service and attention to detail. Fair price.

Knowing that the store closed at 1:00, I called ahead to see if they carried a specific type of tube. I asked if they could hold them for me and told them that I would be right down to pick them up. I arrived at 1:04 only for them to tell me that they were closed. Normally a very good business. Pretty disappointing this time. In todays world of internet sales, you all have to do way better than you did here. Purchased tubes online.

Owner was quite rude and talked down to me. I just wanted info not that you wont honor a warranty if I put a bike motor on my bike. I will not be going back to this place again. You do not speak to your customers like that ever. This is the reason why right here. Also they are way over priced. Just for brakes and a cleaning they wanted like $200 for it. Excuse me I could see $50 not 4 times that. Ill buy a new bike for $200 somewhere else, not a used one for $360 that you wont warranty when I put a motor on it so when I need help I have a backup method of power so I can get in shape.

What a terrific experience! I have been tooling around on an ancient bike, and finally decided I deserved an upgrade. I couldnt have chosen a better shop to visit. John (who it turns out is the owner) is knowledgeable without being snobby, and helpful without being pushy. He earned my trust right away by saying that he would rather fix my old beater than sell me a new bike. I mean, how often do you hear that? Luckily, I had brought the old one. (Once he saw it, he did change his mind, as the bike wasnt nice to begin with, and I bought it at an auction almost ten years ago for $1.)John listened to what I wanted from a bike, what kind of rider I am, etc. He proceeded to steer me to a bike that was exactly the right size, and adjusted the seat perfectly by eye. One can tell he has been in this business for a long time. He showed me how the shifter worked, and warned me that the bikes brakes actually WORK before my test drive. Thoughtful. It took fewer than five seconds on the new bike before I was sold. It fit my body, my stride, and my style. I didnt even test drive another one.Since John had listened carefully to what I needed, he also recommended that I get heavy duty tubes for the tires. He moved my rack and basket from one bike to the other, changed the tubes, and loaded my gorgeous new bike into the bed of my truck for me. I asked if it was possible to donate my old bike somewhere, and he replied that they work with Goodwill to get bikes to people who need them. (yay!)A few months into ownership, I am supposed to make an appointment to bring the bike back in for a total overhaul, the cost of which is covered in the bike purchase. Im kind of excited to go back, and completely thrilled with my new bike. Im sure you can get a bike cheaper at a conglomerate, but Waynes Cyclery is what real service and professionalism looks like.

I always try to stop into the local bike stores when Im in a foreign town. When I walked into Waynes you could tell right away that his place had been open for quite awhile. Large selection of bikes, parts, and clothing. Found a bunch of stuff to complete a build on my sons bike. Owner talked to me for about a hour about the history behind the store and pointed out some bikes he had hanging on the ceiling. He had some real jems. They werent for sale mind you. Still very cool to see.
