3 years later: I lived in Charleston for four years and as an European I can say: this shop saved my life! To all Americans: I love your country, your helpful and friendly people, your patience, your tolerance, I thank your fathers and grandfathers on my knees for giving their blood to liberate my country. Please, dont misunderstand me: Only one request, one small thing: can you at least try to bake good bread, make good cheese, make good sausage, good ham? Lidl sells things in Europe that we normally leave behind. We only buy it when we cant afford anything else. In the US we buy it because there is nothing like it! Go, America, go, you beat us in so many things, beat us in good food too! Thank you for the good time I had in your country. God bless you!

Fantastic all around store. Great prices on product and produce. Its not food only so dont be fooled! You can buy a chainsaw and hedge trimmers, as well as numerous other items. Would definitely recommend you check it out

First time Lidl shopper. Similar to the other 4 letter grocer but they dont make you rent the carts! Everything was clean, well organized, and the store was very well staffed. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options, well priced meats and cheeses too. Good produce options and pricing. Clothing options are limited (and I believe in rotation) with lots of good home decor options. Decent amount of clearance items available too. Definitely will be coming back here!

Just like Aldi but better! Fantastic prices on your favorite foods with additional goodies you might not find at your local store. Limited selection on some items, but definitely worth it to check out for the essentials due to the savings. Cheap wine with an awesome selection! Highly recommend.

Cant help but love this place!! They have an awesome priced, very delicious, the size could feed 2 adults and a child, already seasoned... salmon. I slip it in the air fryer for 15 minutes and you wouldnt guess that I made it at home. Sweet service and always has the best deals!! Love Lidl!!

Nice store with pretty good prices. But there are no seats anywhere and it is a big area. And there is no place to place your groceries once you have purchased them. The store states that you can do it from your trunk outside but suppose its raining? The Wednesday specials were not special at all. Traveling from Summerville to goose Creek is definitely not worth it.

Lidl is a really nice grocery store. My favorite one actually. Its always clean and neat and their commercials are funny. Their music selection is also very groovey.

Terrific place to get a lot of bang for your buck. I enjoy their international food selections, and its a good place to stock up on meats. Its big, bright and clean, always a plus while grocery shopping.

Lidl is a very good, neighborhood grocery store. They typically have most of what you might want and need. Prices are generally as good as, or better than the larger markets nearby. I typically use the self check out and had a pricing issue. The young man that was watching over the self check outs was extremely helpful in getting the issue resolved.

Best place for German / European style breads. Also Salami and Prosciutto is the real thing for the best price.

Great deals on most grocery items. You give up a little in selection but they have the best proces on major staples.

The prices are great, but the customer service is horrible 😔 Not one person, not even my cashier acknowledged that I even existed. I will stick with Publix or even Walmart sadly….

I went on yesterday for a candle and came back out with bags and bags of groceries lol. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The store was neat and clean. I didn’t know anything about the shopping 🛍 process but I was helped along the way the entire time. The kicker was I came on a sale day. I was incredibly happy and definitely be returning. This store is my first ever Lidl experience stateside. Im an international fan and a pretty content Aldi shopper regularly.I was visiting my sister and decided to stop in on a Thursday and Saturday at about 5 pm both times.The produce was sad and honestly more expensive than Walmart (there are two within like a mile of this store)The bread was mostly out of stock and whats left was pretty solid, but Im told the bread is made fresh and mornings are the best to ensure quality breads. Im not sure how one would keep it fresh until dinner if the store cant, but I digress.Many of the sale items were out of stock. The merchandise aisles were in disarray and often misplaced or mislabeled.There was an extensive selection of popular cheeses in America and halloumi-8 ounces for 5.99 which is a great price. The meat looked decent- the chicken is the same brand as Aldi at about the same price, the beef similar although they seem to have a slightly larger selection and quite a few vegan fakes. I am pleased with the grass fed ground beef, frozen seafood mix box, potato chips and stroopwaffel.I am not pleased with the rotten extra large and large eggs I purchased. Multiple eggs across multiple containers were rotten literally brown and sulfur smelling. Im not sure how to return an empty carton of rotten eggs or I certainly would, Ive never had a rotten egg in my decades on this earth but multiple in multiple sizes makes me question their food handling and storage.Self checkout doesnt allow EBT or cash which is obnoxious and unnecessary as theres usually only one register open with big lines and full carts.Overall okay, with okay prices but this store needs to shape up and work on quality control some. Ill be sticking with aldi.

They have good prices and a nice selection.I did want to point out that despite prior reviews, there were still a lot of people walking around the store without their masks on. I hope that the employees will enforce this better. Its likely I wont return until the pandemic is over due to the increased risk. Please wear your masks.

LOVE this grocery store!! Prices are always lower then anywhere else. Their meat is fantastic, well all of their products are fantastic. Sometimes they sell quickly out of certain items but other then that, they are my number one go to grocery store. These are some photos of all the groceries I bought recently. Only spend $160. Blows my mind. Everything I bought would have been WELL OVER $200 elsewhere.

Love coming here! Not just for the good buys on produce, meat, dairy, and frozen foods, but also the unexpected deals on clothing, toys, and even power tools! Due to the great prices we are able to get much more from our grocery budget than we could from the local chain stores.

Wonderful place to get daily groceries. Staff is always friendly and the place is always tidy. Lidl also occasionally has great lawn and garden supplies, seasonal/ holiday, and exotic fruits. Their in store bread is to die for!

I stopped in to see what all the fuss was about. When stores are new, sometimes they seem too good to be true. I was able to save a little on my grocery shopping that trip. I will return when Im in the area and see if I can score some more savings.

When they first opened they were great-good prices and selections especially fruit and bakery. Lately not so great prices. Some of the produce looks like it can in frozen and goes bad quickly. I did get some cute shoes for my granddaughter there tho

According to the tall bald Assistant Manager, the closing time on Google maps is incorrect. He turned several people away who also mentioned the times online being different, but he wouldnt give them the time of day and was defensive and hostile towards customers when correcting them of the store hours.

Everyone is so friendly and the sales are so affordable . And they have my korean dumplings. I can not find at my regular Walmart.

They had what I was looking for and staff is very helpful.

Lidl is a vegan or vegetarian dream come true. Only small selection of meat compared to most American stores. Bring your own bags, they have some for purchase but do not supply any. Prices are great and staff is friendly.

Went here sunday at 1030.No sanitizer for carts. Both bottles sitting empty just like the last time I was there. No wipes, both bathrooms out of order and as usual one cashier with a line down the produce aisle. Come on lidl! I love this store! Get it together!!!

What can I say I love Lidl. They have the most amazing chocolate chip cookies. The prices on staples are very good. I like that I can always find something new.

Good experience and reasonable prices other then when speaking with the cashier through a thick glass you still required to wear a mask which seems a little too much.

Great store! It’s also in a great location in Goose Creek.I am hoping they’ll open up more stores through the Charleston metro area.You’ll find everything from spices, home goods to baked goods! The bread slicing machine is the best. You get to slice the bread whichever way you want: thin cut, average or thick. I love that they have a big variety of breads everything from sourdough to the everything bread. It’s baked fresh multiple times a day!The store is big, it’s clean. The staff is super friendly and everywhere you turn there is someone to help you out. Like Aldis you need to bring your own bag to bag your groceries or you can purchase a bag from them (brown bags) for .10 cents. You can always reuse the brown bags on your next trip and save the money. I promise you once you come to this store you’ll continue to come.

Awesome place! Im not one to be impressed easily but I was blown away by this store. The bakery has many tasty items, and youll save a ton of money here. My second trip there, I had a budget of $100, I was buying whatever I wanted, and so was my son. I filled up my cart with items and just knew that I was over my budget. I checked out and my total was 99 dollars and some change! Even my 13 year old son commented that if we had went to one of the other local grocery stores, our total would have easily been over $200. Most of the items they sell are not name brand but they taste just as good. Below is a picture of all the stuff I got for under $100.

It’s Aldi’s but with more named brand goods. There not much organization to the aisles so you really have to search for what you want. Check out is right up on the aisles so they are very crowded so social distancing is impossible.
