Dr. Jaslean Michals is an incredible audiologist, but also such a kind person. She made my dad feel so comfortable and informed on what’s going on. Highly highly recommend visiting Dr. Michals for a great experience!!

I had just moved back to Arizona and started a new nursing job. Getting ready for work, I couldnt find my hearing aid which I cant hear without as I am deaf in my other ear. I had just got this little guy (in the picture) from a rescue the day before.....and my heart sunk when I realized he had eaten my 1500 dollar hearing aide into a billion little pieces! In a panic I went to every Walgreens I could find to get some type of cheap amplifier device to get me by...but couldnt find any. I then googled hearing aide places near me and ended up calling Metro Hearing in Goodyear. I burst into tears telling the receptionist what had happened and that I was desperate because I couldnt work at my new job (how embarrassing!) without my hearing aide. She was amazing and was able to squeeze me in that morning to see Dr. Halterman.Kelly (Dr. Halterman) was incredible....she listened to my plight, offered kleenex and much needed emotional support....did some hearing tests and loaned me a hearing aide that I walked out with that day, and was able to go to work! I wasnt even a patient and she didnt charge me a dime for that. She was just so caring and compassionate and helped me out in a dire situation.I have been a patient of Kellys ever since and I highly recommend her to anyone, young or old, who has a hearing loss. She is not only compassionate, sweet and funny..... but she is super smart. She is a Doctor of Audiology and is an expert in assessing and treating all types of hearing loss. She will ensure that you have the best technology available that is programmed specifically for your needs and fits within your budget. I now have an excellent hearing aide (which I put inside a drawer every night...very important) and I still have my little dog....both of which I couldnt live without...and I am forever grateful to Kelly and her staff for helping me!

I had an amazing experience getting diagnosed and fitted with my new hearing aids. Dr Halterman was really inspiring, she is very passionate about her work. From audio gram to final fit of my hearing aids she was always professional, helpful, and just in general an friendly person to interact with. Whenever you come across a Dr that makes you feel as if your getting the best care, you will always remember it. She rocks, go see her.

My Downs Syndrome daughter has received her hearing aids and their care every six months from Metro Hearing for over 30 years! During the virus when she was not able to go into the office they even did curb side repairs for her. Dr. Halterman and her assistant Karissa are very professional and organized but also very warm and caring. We highly recommend them for any audiological need you might have.

Having worn hearing aides for many years before relocating to AZ, I was able to return to my prescribing audiologist for service or adjustments as needed. Once in AZ I found it impossible to find a provider willing to work with me to extend the life of my very expensive hearing aides. Without exception, every provider I visited in the valley was only interested in selling new hearing aides - even those listed by the manufacturer of my hearing aides. Then I met Dr. Halterman at Metro Hearing in Goodyear. Not only did she understand the situation of someone on a fixed income, but she was most willing to work with me for several years to get the most out of the units I owned. When the time came that they no longer would meet the needs of increased hearing loss, she diligently worked to find, fit, adjust, and ensure my comfort with new hearing aides. Her office even worked with my insurer to get the best possible pricing/reimbursement. The level of service, patient care, genuine concern for the best outcome - all performed consistently time after time cannot be found anywhere else. She is knowledgeable, always on time,caring and dedicated to making a positive impact in the way and manner in which I hear. She constantly measures my hearing patterns of performance and is adjusting my hearing devices on a regular basis. She is always available to help. If ever I need assistance,she manages to work me in her schedule and follow up on my progress. I just love her!

Ive had hearing aids for over 20 years without ever knowing what GREAT hearing and exceptional professional hearing services was until I came to Dr. Kelly Halterman. She is AMAZING! She worked with me in creating customized domes so there exceptional hearing without feedback noise.. Great Dr. Who Cares About Getting Your Hearing Right!

Great experience all around. I didnt have to wait long at all for my appointment. Dr Halterman completed numerous tests to test my hearing, and was very thorough explaining everything to me. I had a better understanding of why I thought I was having hearing loss. Dr Halterman was very professional, and I was very pleased with my experience.

I have hearing Aids since 2010 and never received the service, personnel relation and caring that they gave at no other place. Beginning with Holly who answer phone so politely, makes my appointment, to my availability not hers, an helps with all my hearing aids. Then there is Kelly who to me is the Doctor of Doctors of Audiology who takes the time to check adjustments on my aids, when not asked, fill all verbal request without questioning them, and the interagency and expierence to make me so comfortable. Hearing is a gift, and I don’t hear so well but Holly and Kelly make incredible to revive that gift again.

Dr. Kelly Halterman at Metro Hearing is terrific. Shes not only a wonderful audiologist but related to me like an old friend. She really cares about her patients and the whole staff is helpful, friendly and knowlegeable. If I were grading them they would all get A++++.

I love Costco- really I do. I try and buy everything I can there. Truck, food, churros- they do ALMOST everything better than anyone. The HUGE exception to that is when it comes to hearing aids. Sorry Costco- Metro Hearing and Dr. Halterman cannot be beat.Heres why.My awesome Mom was having difficulties hearing conversations, and when we would go dining she would really struggle to discern words with loud background. I wanted to get her some hearing aids, but shes a stubborn Irishwoman who takes no BS from anyone.NPR has a big article detailing the link between hearing loss and brain decline. Long story short, when your ears stop hearing, your brain doesnt need to process info and work as much, so the brain declines in an alarming rate.Learning this info really motivated me to convince my Mom to have her hearing assessed with a real Doctor of Audiology. I did a ton of research and learned that Costco has Audiology technicians and salespeople, NOT legit Doctors of Audiology. While I love saving money as much as the next guy, Im a firm believer not to be cheap when getting body armor, parachutes, and health professional services.My Mom sacrificed so much to raise me and my siblings, and she deserved the best care, not a salesperson who is out of their league. I was told about Metro Hearing and Dr. Halterman and made an appointment.I brought my Mom to her appointment and Dr. Halterman was amazing. The hearing assessment was very comprehensive and took about 1.5 hours. After the testing, Dr. Halterman showed the results of the testing on a big TV, and did an excellent job of explaining what the results were. Then Dr. Halterman popped in some hearing aids so my Mom could see/hear the difference. It was so amazing to see her hearing correctly for the first time in years.Dr. Halterman then discussed a wide array of hearing aids that can help. There was ZERO pressure to buy anything. None. You can tell that she truly cares about her profession and helping people hear better.After reviewing several options, we selected a pair of hearing aids that provided a great array of options for my Mom. They are adjustable so in a year or so they can be adjusted digitally louder or softer. It was amazing to see Dr. Halterman work her magic with the computer so the hearing aids are fine tuned. Its worth noting these devices arent cheap- but truly its a case of You get what you pay for. My Mom is worth any amount of money to keep her hearing and have her brain firing on all cylinders. In addition to the first appointment, we came back three times after for fine tuning and check ups with the device.Sorry this is so long, but I really wanted to paint a clear picture of the process. I also feel the amazing level of service and care Dr. Halterman showed makes this review worthy of the detail. If you or a loved one has hearing issues- do yourselves a favor and make an appointment with Dr. Halterman. She is a dedicated, warm, friendly professional who has dedicated her career to helping people hear the best they can.So, Costco is a great place for most everything- with one notable exception. See Dr. Halterman for any hearing needs- you wont be disappointed and your ears and brain will thank you!

My experience with Kelly Halterman at Metro Hearing is by far the best I have ever had, Dr. Kelly is very good, she is so patient and listens to what you have to say and make the proper adjustment. I have never had an audiologist as excellence as Dr Kelly. I would recommend Dr Kelly Halterman to anybody who has a hearing loss.

I recently experienced difficulties with hearing aids I used for a number of years. Dr. Haltermans office was very close to us, and she met with both me and my wife. The initial visit was very friendly, and Kelly spent a great deal of time testing my hearing and discussing my hearing problems to get a thorough base line for how best to improve my hearing. I think Kelly learned more from my wife than even me !! My wife also was impacted with my hearing loss, and Kelly was able to better pinpoint which products would make the biggest impact with my hearing for both myself, as well as my wife. In earlier appointments with other hearing doctors, none of them would speak with my wife and get a more complete understanding as to the degree of my hearing loss. Kelly was very considerate and compassionate with reviewing my hearing and explaining to both of us how the product she recommended would make the biggest difference in my hearing. Dr. Halterman also took the time to help with the questions regarding insurance assistance and how her office could limit our out-of-pocket costs. My wife and I are both big fans of Dr. Halterman because she is so knowledgeable and considerate. She explained all the problems that to us were so intimidating, and she has truly made a big impact in both our every day lives. We are also happy that her office is so close to us, but also because she is part of a medical group that is also close and accessible in the event Kelly may be out of the office. I cant recommend Dr. Haltermans services enough. Kelly should be your go to professional to receive the most knowledgeable and compassionate help with your hearing loss problems.
