Bad experience with this store. Bought and paid for Gibson online and spent reward points. Waited 3 more days and contacted general GC help line. They told me order canceled because they sold it to somebody else or changed mind or else. The store didnt even have a courtesy no notify me. I lost $100 rewards - it was one time code. I had to use it on other item i didnt want. Very unprofessional behavior from this store.
All Guitar Centers are not created equally. This is (by far) the best one out there. Devin and his team offered me the best customer service imaginable. I cant wait to do business with them again. Go see them if you need anything!
Picked him up some drumsticks. Love checking ✔ out the new products. Bit pricey but have what we needed and its convenient. Employees were friendly
Was looking for a stage monitor. The manager, I assume, doesnt understand that governments dont have tax ID numbers like businesses do. But when he said I cant do anything with that and walked away is why I give 1 star. Went to Sam Ash and wound up spending over 800.00 dollars and have an act with them for future purchases.
Went with Jada Vance to buy new pa system. Our helper worker his butt off and answered all her questions. She ended up buying new Shura mics, cables, guitar picks, speakers and 7 channel board. I didnt know Rivergate had a Guitar Center. Close parking easy access to the store. Only issue was guitars and amps for people to try was right at check out which made it hard to hear trying to check out. But have had several shows and equipment sounds great and is easy to carry in the car!
Lovely experience quick and easy best to call In and have them grab what you need so you can walk in pay and go.
The folks that worked here are friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend 👌!
Staff was wonderful helping us choose the right equipment and not trying to upsell the most expensive items. The service department fixed our broken guitar and the repair is so good its unnoticeable.
I had purchased a Harbinger active loudspeaker 11 months ago; speaker started making noise, never did work right. Harbinger directed me to Guitar Center for an exchange,, I was so impressed with how easy it all went, received new speaker within 4 days, works great, very appreciative of this specific guitar center store on how they handled the exchange, very professional
Coolest people be glad to shop here anyday! They got everything I need here. I got my Josh Dun drums sticks from here I love this store. Next time I get a drum lesson itll be here! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
The website said that the item I wanted was in stock at this store. But it was not. The staff was friendly and helpful.
First and last time at this location. Our salesperson decided to abandon us. Not my level of customer service. Bought from a different store where I know we have REPEATEDLY received great customer service.
Went in just to look around..did buy some guitar strings. The staff was courteous and helpful. Will go back in the future.
Really small location but with great staff. Been going to this location for a while, and even with the usual turnover they seem to always have a responsive and helpful crew.
I have never been in the guitar store at Rivergate Mall. Therefore, I cannot give my opinion, since I have never been in the store, nor have I not purchased anything at the store.
Had a gig tonight and needed to grab another Bass... Been to a few stores around, but didnt land on anything. As a last resort I found my way here...Fairly descent selection compared to other stores....Scott was really cool and helpful.I wound up picking up a Bass, a strap, and my lady friend picked up a ukulele...I had a good experience...Hug Scotty... He likes itCheck out Deliciously Nothing Podcast on YouTube!✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼
Wonderful array of instruments. Great staff, quality and well kept product
I forget his name, but the guitar tech was a great dude and set up my two guitars in less than an hour. Highly recommend.
Chase is the best. Brought in three guitars and a yuke and he worked his magic on all. A great tech in a great store. Have bought much from them over the years.
I had purchased a set of ALESIS nitro mesh kit. Had a problem with a snare drum I had gotten a two-year warranty and they replaced the whole set for free they were very good help
The employees were helpful, pleasant and it was a very pleasant experience. My wife wanted to buy mandolin strings, we not only purchased them, but other items as well, and they were very helpful with all her questions
Friendly knowledgeable staff. Lets support this store by NOT buying everything on the net. They have descent prices on many items, you just have to look.
The part I needed for my Strat copy was supposed to be in the Repairs section of the store, which had an Out to Lunch sign on the counter. But one of the other guys came over and was rummaging around to put together the strut I needed from spare parts, and wasnt even going to charge me. Then we found the exact part (a pack of six of them) on the display pegboard. I ended up getting that and a set of new strings, but I was moved by his helpfulness all the same. Its like I say about music: some are in it for the big score, and others do it for the music itself. Mark the guys here in the latter category. Great, great shop.
They tried to charge us more than the sticker price. When we realized and went back, they had to get the managers permission to give us the sticker price.
Friendly employees, fast service, great products
Scott was very helpful and pleasant with helping my son
Very helpful and courteous.
I must say it is a enjoyable music experience
Great selection also has guitar and when no covid singer lessons. I have a 7 year old daughter thats very interested in singing and playing guitar
Great Staff and pretty decent selection
Scott Westbrook is the best
Helpful and friendly staff.
Very clean store..staff is very professional and nice and had what I needed..I gave it five ☆s!
Cool folks every delivery.
Good just to have this music store as an alternative to Sam Ash in the Rivergate area. Some staff are big time left wingers sale hounds which is annoying imo but some of the guys are great.
Website says the store is open til 7pm on Sundays. Walked in at 5:55 and the employee said we could still look around, but they close in 5 minutes. Upon entering the acoustic guitar room, they literally shut the lights off, he peeks in and said, “I know, subtle huh?” Professionally rude. I had my eye on a $600 guitar, but will take my business elsewhere where it’s wanted.
It was great! The young guy that helped me wasnt all that knowledgeable about the products I had questions about. My time was limited and that was disappointing to say the least. Other than that, the store was very clean and well organized! They have just about anything your little heart desires! Stop by and see them today!
Very friendly, quick, knowledgeable and courteous staff. They have exactly everything I need when I go in. Very rarely do I need to order a part needed bit, they can do it through the store for you.
Always a great place. Great people. Great atmosphere.
Guitar Center is not what it once was.Kinda sad to see all the empty spaces on the wall. Inventory is down at least 40%Not what I expected
Great place beginners
It was ok. Didnt buy anything. Staff seemed knowledgeable.
Good selection. Always approached by an employee to see if I need assistance in a selection or to find something.
Blah guitar store, they only had a fraction of the inventory of Sam Ash.
Poor selection. Guitars over about $400 are all locked up, a real inconvenience to just test instruments.
The Rivergate store is a very nicely run store with excellent customer facing staff. The selection for the guitarist is excellent for mid to high end instruments and amps. Will visit regulary. The Rivergate area is not as busy as other malls and allows easy access.
Scott and Eddy were just incredible. They spared nothing on the phone or in person in helping find a great guitar, at a great price. I felt at home. I am so glad chose to go there. Made my weekend just amazing! Love love love my new Mitchell spalted maple acoustic! Thank you so much!!!
Absolutely good service and they dont hound you. Great prices on most items. Open atmosphere with lots of room to roam and try what ya want. Great selection. Entrance was wierd but i give it a 4.5.
Great customer service
After being closed because of the virus, they have reopened. But the negative to this, is they are limiting the number of people in the store. You are required to wear a face mask, I am all for that. What I dont like is the limit to the people in the store, I like to take my time and browse, cant do that with people waiting for you to finish your shopping so they have a turn. I ended up buying a set of strings, but wanted to check out some effects and amps. Ill go back when some sort of normal returns. I really do like guitar center, but shopping like this stinks.I do interstate the need to be safe, been in other storees with my mask and gloves on, and I am shocked at the number of people who are not wearing a mask. I am guessing they dont care about their safety or others.
When you come in here for trades these guys are dry and unfriendly. They just have a way of making you feel like you are inconveniencing them even if your the only person in the store.
Called to order a Taylor on labor day weekend and Scott was extremely helpful. His personality and knowledge was over the top he assured me that it would be a new taylor from the warehouse not from another store or a display. When I picked it up it was still in the box. Everything was great with the guitar and the entire experience.
Awesome service
Always excellent service and selection. I wish I lived nearer to one of their stores. I would go every week, just to tool around and try guitars. They let you play anything. Thats my favorite part. Plus the selection is stunning. I love Mom and Pop stores, but a chain like this really has advantages in size and selection, and sale prices
They have nice instruments and the people great too!
A great place for anyone with an interest in playing instruments to go to, I bought the basics for an electric guitar and plan to learn it. They even offer teaching for guitars and other instrumentsTheir employees are very good at what they do and are very friendly and helpful
I believe the guys name was Scott and he gave me really helpful information on picking out my first guitar.
Smooth
Scott was very helpful and had a great attitude for hospitality. Allowed this beginner to play the instrument of their choice. I am very appreciative.
They had a cloud lifter in stock! Auto 5 stars!
Always a favorite. Great deals on guitar supplies.
I went into the store one hour before closing with $800 in my pocket. I am a beginner but want something to be proud of. The salesman contradicted himself repeatedly while I was practically begging him to take my money. He pushed me out of the store because of closing time and told me to come back tomorrow. Sorry buddy I won’t be back tomorrow
Great staff. I stopped going to Sam Ash because they treat their lifelong customers poorly. That is not the case with this Guitar Center. Great staff and very helpful. They ask the right questions to make sure that you get what you need, not just what they want to sell you. Daniel Corbin and Doug Drake are the guys Ive worked with. Go give them a visit.
Always love guitar center. They didnt have EXACTLY what I wanted but the knowledgeable staff were able to help me figure out the next best option, and at a better price too!
Normally when I go in guitar center (especially 100 oaks) I receive terrible customer service and employees dont even seem like they want to help. But this location is different. I was greeted as I came in the door and though they were out the cables I was seeking, I appreciate the employee checking the back for them. At 100 oaks when I asked someone to check the back they replied he couldnt go in the back because he doesnt know where they would be back there. So so far I am pleased with this location.
Will was great! Very knowledgeable and patient. Took the time to ensure we had everything we needed in one trip. We will definitely return to this location in the future.
Best customer service Ive ever had. Very helpful people. Extremely engaging!! Someone in the guitar tech center named Chase did nothing but help me the entire time walking me through steps. They even introduced me to a guy named Eddie who was an extremely good classical guitarist and he helped me find the perfect set up. Definitely would go back
Friend of mine from Europe tried to purchase the amp from this store, sent several emails and never received reply ... very poor customer service, and terrible communication, unless you can go there in person, I wouldn’t advise buying anything from this store on line ... GC is just too big to deal with every customer, so purchase what you need from your local music store, you’ll support your local business, and get much better and personal service ...
So glad they opened a store in Rivergate! I really got tired of fighting traffic to get to 100 Oaks. I would give 4 Stars 🌟 because their prices are really good, but some of the staff seem disinterested. Im not going to ding the store/chain because 20 somethings havent been raised right. 😉
Awesome to have this store on the North end of Nashville. Guitar Center always gets great used gear, and has good clinics, demos, lessons, etc ... nice to not have to drive all the way to the other side of Nashville. I love the Sam Ash store thats at Rivergate, too ... but hey, a little competition is a good thing :-)
Didnt have the cymbals I wanted in stock, but they had no problem offering to order more for me. Techs were super friendly and were of much assistance. Will return.
A most excellent place for any real musician or aspiring musician to obtain musical equipment in any price range. Very wonderful. Like a huge candy store for me.😊
Very friendly and spent a lot of time helping me find just what I was looking for. I highly recommend them.
Great crew works hear. Just got a 416ce-r here at a great price!
Great, convenient location with lots of free parking! Large selection of accessories and supplies although not the huge, diverse selection of guitars and instruments found at the Southside store, hence, the 4 stars. Staff is courteous and attentive but not overly pushy.
Its a guitar center. Nice enough staff. Nicer then one off armory drive.
Moderate selection but really great service for a major music store. Only gripe is I do wish they had more of a drum and bass selection in house, but its a minor gripe considering it is primarily a guitar store. Definitely recommend to any music enthusiast whether youre a newbie, professional, or anyone in-between.
A little smaller than most GCs around the country but they typically have what I need.
I have NOT been to this place 😕
Excellent service, knowledgeable staff! Chad (the manager) is a great guy and very professional. Shop this guitar center for all instrumental needs!
Atmosphere was amazing! I love that you can play the instruments in store. Associates are friendly and helpful.
There was a very vicious looking dog with a man inside. Made me not want to go in.
Spencer in the Repair Shop is the MAN! Totally saved my bass player’s bass for tonight’s gig. Thanks so much!!
This review is only regarding their equipment rental service. Top end equipment at decent rates. Friendly and helpful personnel but no one knows how the rental process works. Both renting and returning were 1+hour long experiences clustered in confusion. I know you don’t get enough rental business to justify the position but at least train your staff properly. Other than that everything OK!
Friendly staff. Had no yet what I needed.
Newish store still in good shape. Employees were helpful, not snobby like some places.Overall pretty good for a guitar center.(and Ive been around the music industry for decades. Lol)
Guitar Center is awesome! Great selection for the savvy musician whether you are a beginner, expert, or master. I know where I am buying my next drum.🎵 🌎🎶🎶🎸🎶🎻🎶🎶
I love this place! Its dangerous for me to be here ~ I could go broke buying the stuff I want. The workers are helpful and knowledgeable but know how to give you your space.
I have sent my review ( not good) to Guitar center website for some reason I cant find it, thats ok I know I will never walk (Im 64) into the Rivergate store again
Nice store for musical equiptment both new and used. Friendly staff that doesnt bother you while shopping, trying to upsale you to something that you dont need or want. They have their own outside entrance which is nice as well.
Staff knowledgeable on gear, courteous; Exceeded expectations patiently answering questions after time GC closes 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Good place to browse. Staff is helpful but not aggressive. They will leave you alone to look around
Always a pleasure coming to this place. Its clean and the workers are always willing to help
This is one of the smaller locations so dont expect to find everything you need, especially in guitar effects pedals. Most of the employees were fairly knowledgeable in the equipment I asked about but there is always the employee who doesnt know how to plug a guitar into an amp, much less know what one is.
I came in one day with my grandson Damean and Scott helped us achieve our dream of owning a electronic drum set . He set me up with everything I needed to have a total experience. Go see Scott he is awesome !
Middle aged dude with long hair helps me everytime, everyone is super friendly and knowledgeable.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff and a great selection of guitars and equipment. It was a great experience overall.
Everyone here is incredibly helpful. Great experience! I will definitely return for all my music related needs!
