Dont listen to soyboys getting mad and giving one start b/c this gun store loves America
Will not be coming back. The owner has a sticker that says Build a wall, keep America safe and its in plain sight view. City of Santa Barbara has a better gun store on state st. with the best customer service. Dont spend your money here...
Great place to get all your basics. Helpful, kind service and no-nonsense.
Rick is the man!! Super knowledgeable!! Good local knowledge.
Rick is the man! Always helpful but dont waste his time. Thanks for keeping us safe.
These guys are super knowledgeable and extremely friendly. I love the atmosphere they set and all the old boxes of ammo and posters are pretty awesome. They are a small shop so they dont have the widest selection but I still see some eye-catchers every time I go in. They also sell fishing licenses and hunting tags which is extremely convenient. All in all this place is amazing.
Rick and his excellent selection is the only place I shop at. Rick is knowledgable, efficient and courteous. Why go anyplace else. Simply the best.
Its like a clique-ish second hand store ran by grumpy old men! No way in hell I will spend my money there!
Great place, Rick the owner is super friendly and knowledgeable. Have bought several firearms through him and have done a couple of sales through him as well. Prices are some of the best in town, not the lowest but definitely not the highest. Always has what Im looking for and is always great about ordering firearms if he doesnt have them in stock.
Months ago, I told Rick to keep an eye out for a JM Marlin 1894C in 357. Well, he got one in and remembered to call me. The next day I came in and bought it. Love the rifle. Thats what I call great service from a local gun store. Thanks again, Rick!
Rick is a great guy. He remembers almost all of his customers by name and is extremely knowledgeable. I trust Ricks opinion 100% and will not shop anywhere else.
Rick & Bill are the best guys in Santa Barbara area and beyond to do all gun sales with, no one else can even compare. Yea they look you over a bit and size you up, but if I were in their shoes I would do the same. There great guys that take the gun business very serious, let’s face it there are plenty of weird fools out there that will sell you any sort of firearm as long as you are breathing, have a pulse and a wallet full of money. I find their prices reasonable, sure I can get guns cheaper however, for a few extra bucks they are worth it because I know in a pinch they’ll take care of me. Life just works that way when you treat people as your equal. Dont take my word for it drop by and exchange a few stories with them and size them up yourselves you wont be sorry. My Best Guy’s
Rick & Bill are about as friendly & helpful as youll find in a gun shop. Fast excellent service all around. PPT at $47 is slightly higher than others that charge $35 but this store is worth a few extra bucks for their service. Anytime I am in the area, I will stop in to say hello & have a look at what they have in stock. Great experience all around.
Great service. Fair prices. Just purchased a Glock 19 from Rick, the owner. He made the process easy and was friendly. I will definetly return again for future purchases.
Rick the owner is very friendly and a wealth of knowledge. Goleta valley gun & supply is highly recommended!!!
These guys are very friendly and helpful, with a good selection of both new and consigned guns (mostly long guns). PPT transfers for $47. Like most gun shops there is usually a few guys hanging out chit-chatting and unlike a lot of other gun shops, it doesnt feel like you just walked into someone elses private club - everyone wants to help and is friendly.
Rick sold all of my consigned firearms in good time and took only a fair commission. Rick & Bill have always been great to me and my friends.
I am a licensed California Security Guard. I first went to Goodland, which is just up the street from my house. I was hoping for expert advice on a question about a 20+ year old, out of state, felony record I have - but was told immediately to exit the store. I was not handling weapons and was there specifically in an inquiry capacity while I navigate my federal and states rights. My charge and sentence is from Oregon which automatically restores gun rights after 15 years of felony conviction with clear record.I left immediately as I did not want to violate any potential laws and I called Rick at Goleta Valley Gun & Supply - he told me no law exists about being in a gun store to ask questions, invited me down to his shop to get a print out of the California Firearm Eligibility Check, which was a great suggestion and pathway for the answers I was seeking. I received the paperwork back yesterday and at least the DOJ states I am eligible. Thanks Rick, you were a big help - I will be back to Golleta Valley instead of Goodland for any questions and purchases and will refer your store to all the other guys on my detail.
Service was very helpful and friendly. Thanks Rick! Ill be back.
Rick is great!
This FFL thinks its OK to charge $77 for a PPT. Somebody needs to call the CA DOJ, and check out what their LEGALLY allowed to charge. Things are bad enough for gun owners in this state, without FFLs trying to rip us off on top of it. I recommend supporting the Second Amendment and, taking your hard earned dollars elsewhere
Friendly owner, nice store
Very unpleasant man
Excellent service
