Always love going there to get some work done. Thought I took photos of the place but cant find them now. I prefer this place to the one downtown - has more tables, nicer outdoor patio, restrooms, etc.

AMAZING COFFEE and AMAZING SERVICEThis is so important to me to have great service along with a great product. I love going in and getting a vanilla latte. If I get it to go I always get a nice little doodle on a sticky note that makes my day! Its the little things like this that that I love. The service here really shines through compared to other places. Dune will always be first go to.I also have to addOne time I ordered the wrong thing for pick up.. when I got their I tried it and realized it wasnt what I meant to order and with out question they re made it for me to my liking. This extra step and generosity for me to enjoy a tasty drink was outstanding customer service.

Reminded me of why I love coffee! Cappuccino was full of fruit forward flavours which matched nicely with the creaminess of the well steamed milk. With lighter roasted beans I would expect some sourness (which Im not a big fan of), but I didnt get any of that. 👌 Atmosphere was great and staff was welcoming. Wish I had time to stay!

I just had the breakfast sandwich without ham.As my teeth sunk into that wonderful bread the world stopped for a second and everything become clear. For that moment everything was right in the world, everything was where it was supposed to be and I was free. I forgot the name of the bread because as the cashier was telling me I got lost in her eyes, but that bread is enough to stop working and start worshipping those bread makers of where-ever and become a slave to that bread maker. To forever live your life a slave to that bread maker just for a slice of that beautiful creation in between your fingers wondering if god put this piece of bread on this earth just for you.

I probably wont choose to go here again and this is why even though their coffee is good and the cap well made. I ordered an oatmilk cap, the extra cost to use oak milk instead of regular cow milk is $.75 which seems even more excessively exorbant than other shops. There is not much milk being used in a small capachino which already comes with their organic cows milk which is being subsutited.Where they fail for me is their almond butter toast, I had a bad reaction to it so wonder if it contains some additives or another problem? ?? You get a thick slice of toasted bread and a very very thin covering of crunchy almond butter, if there was any honey on this, it was invisible to my taste buds and to my sight. It was not satisfying, not something special to bother eating out as most of the other coffee shops serve. It was dry as well.If Im going to spend a good bit of money on a coffee and a bite to eat I wish it to be tasty, organic if possible, certainly no additives or preservatives and fun and delightful to consume. This location for Dune Coffee unfortunately missed doing this.

This is my favorite coffee EVER and I am from Seattle! I drive here from Santa Ynez on my day off for a latte and a pastry and often send their roasted beans home to family and friends in Washington. They are also pet friendly which is wonderful. They bring my dogs water and are genuinely happy to see them not tied outside or left in a hot car.

This is a very well run local chain. I dont often have the time to stop by here, but Im always satisfied when I do. Delicious coffee and pastries, more importantly a very efficient, polite and competent staff. For me the deciding factor in my being a returning customer at any business, is how I am being treated, and this place always makes you feel welcome.

For my first time here, it was a lovely coffee stop. Its nice to see smaller coffee stores that arent Starbucks, so I tried it out. Being so close to ucsb, the crowd is predominantly college aged, so lots of people studying. The vanilla latte was great tasting and reasonably priced for the size.

Friendly staff and a pleasant locale. However my coffee was served lukewarm and the croissant was doughy, not flaky, a disappointing purchase for $8.75. I recommend Renauds Cafe in Santa Barbara for genuine French pastry and more reasonable prices.

This particular location is pretty sleepy; I suppose that means its a good place to do some work. The coffee is always great: consistent espresso and good cold brew. The cappuccino and machiatto type drinks are wetter than Id typically like, but that seems more or less standard around the Santa Barbara area.

Great espresso! When I walked in and saw the La Marzocco machine I knew they really care about quality. The baristas are also clearly skilled and were very friendly. Excellent experience overall

Ti
Review №48

They focus on light/medium (medium rare, as the barista proudly told me) roasts to maximize the native flavor of their beans vs the roasting flavor profile, which I prefer. This technique can backfire (overly sour coffee, etc) but the espresso shot I had ordered had a wonderfully apple fruit flavor. The baristas also had a keen enthusiasm to made my family and I feel welcome.I would have preferred the typically requisite glass of seltzer water that these types of coffee shops serve alongside straight espresso—hence the four instead of five stars. For the prices they charge ($6-$7 for pour overs!), they will have to keep to this tier of traditions.Regardless, visit this solid coffee spot if you need a fix and dont want burnt Starbucks.

Good craft coffee place. A little on the pretentious/hipstery side of things but the quality of their coffee backs it up. Its very much on the lighter-roast side, and has sour, fruity notes, so bear that in mind if you like darker coffees. Small selection of some pretty yummy pastries as well. Located right next to Storke and Hollister, so a convenient location but a little noisy if youre sitting outside.

Whereas the ambiance is a bit on the sterile side for my taste, the coffee and pastries are excellent, and staff is very kind. A special recommendation is their matcha latte, which they do from scratch. This is, dissolving the matcha powder instead of using a ready mix. It is worth the effort: best matcha latte my wife ever had.

Super pleasantly surprised by this place. This is my third time visiting the SBA/IV/Goleta area, and Ive always skipped over this place in favor of Handlebar for some reason. Definitely wont make that mistake again. I ordered a cold brew and my wife picked up an Americano. My cold brew was a bit too acidic for my taste, but could just be due to an overly bright batch of beans. The Americano was excellent. Im looking forward to coming back to explore the rest of their menu.
