With great lattes, and a peaceful outdoors seating place dean’s is a wonderful coffee place to grab coffee and work with no distractions. Also give their toasts a try, really recommend the date with a goat toast!

Such a special gem near the SB airport. Wonderful drinks, yummy food options and a great outdoor patio.

Hesitated about sharing my hidden gem, but what can you do when you find a superb cafe like this one. This newly opened cafe hits everything on my checklist - good coffee, great ambience (modern), welcoming baristas, amazing scenery, clean restrooms, sturdy tables, outlets, etc. Definitely a great place to study, get work done, chat with your friends. Fewer people in the mornings, so highly recommend you come in early.

This is my favorite coffee shop. The vibe is perfect for studying and being productive, or just grabbing a coffee and chatting with friends both inside and outside on the patio. All their drinks are made to perfection with love and the staff are very friendly. Dean’s owner Jen is very experienced in the food industry and even takes the time to learn customer’s names and favorite drinks. When I walk in she gets my favorite drink (Lori’s Vietnamese Coffee with an extra drip) started before I even pay at the register. I show up at least once or twice a week when my schedule allows it and I will continue to do so. Keep up the good work guys 😁

At first I was going to give this place 4 stars, but since they recently improved their wifi I’m going to give it 5. The drinks and food are a little pricey, but as a study spot I don’t think there’s a better place in Santa Barbara/Goleta. Their drinks are delicious and their food looks good as well. There’s plenty of space and it has good vibes.

Nice coffee selection and very fresh danishes, they also have a small menu of Ava ado toast and egg salad sandwiches.

Nice coffee shop for college students. Have a wide variety of food and coffee. The staff is polite and professional. The prices are a little cheaper than Starbucks. The best part is the ambience and plenty of seating. Is not far from Amtrak train station.

Great spot with plenty of seating indoors! We recently visited while staying at the Residence Inn (also on Hollister Ave) and were thankful for their proximity to the hotel. Great vibe and the staff was friendly. Dirty Chai with Oat Milk was more on the strong side (not like what youd get at Starbucks so dont expect that). The Avocado Toast was tasty as well. Two slices come loaded with greens, pepitas, and tomatoes so definitely filling for a breakfast or early lunch.As others have said, yes its a little hard to find, but not so difficult that its inaccessible. If anything, that makes it more of a treasure.Overall satisfied with this shop and would visit again!

Great coffee and fresh vibe. Very minimalist decor, spacious patio, nice place to meet up with friends. Location is sort of random as theres not much to walk to around there, but its near Old Town.

I’ve been here twice so far, and all I can say is wow it’s amazing! The staff always makes sure to take care you, and they are super nice and friendly! It’s probably the best place to study right now because it’s such a quiet work oriented environment. The coffee and other drinks are absolutely delicious here. I’ve been telling all my friends about this place just because they’ve left such a good impression on me! I definitely recommend, top notch for sure! It’s my new favorite coffee shop to stop by when I’m out and about :)

Really enjoyed my cafe cortado and caprese baguette today. They have plenty of outdoor seating (as well as fairly distanced indoor seating). Great new coffee spot and well worth the visit.

Dean: a Coffee Shop is my new favorite hang out in town!! It has character and a comfy, warm vibe. Love all the outdoor seating, too. The beverages are top-notch. The food is delicious. They also have a good grab-and-go selection, so I took home their house salad--super tasty, and the large portion was good for two meals. Reasonably priced, and the staff is friendly, too. Everything about this place is great!

Paid $9 for two small slices of bread with lettuce and egg salad on it. which is an egg salad sandwich, right? but im super cheap, so it felt like a bad deal. but it tasted good. so i guess if youre also super cheap then watch out. but everything around here is expensive so maybe just dont come to this area then.

Hard place to find. They serve traditional coffees, not like Starbucks. I had a macchiato which was 2 sips of coffee. Just make sure you know what you are ordering.

I noticed that Dean was open while I was driving down Hollister today so I stopped in to try it out. Everything was superb - the coffee (try Lori’s iced Vietnamese coffee, super rich but so delicious!), the service, and the ambiance. Perfect location if you work nearby, are out running errands in Goleta, or are just looking for a great local coffee shop to support away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. I will definitely be back many times!

Visiting from Santa Monica. This coffee shop is great! Drip coffee has a nice nutty, unique flavor. Nice and clean. Great coffee. Amazing service. You can tell a lot of work and effort goes into this place. Spacious seating indoor and out. 10/10.

Went on a whim here and I will definitely be returning they serve hot hot coffee and little pastries and the cutest thing about this place is that they give you real coffee cups to drink out of if you sit there for the coffee visit.
