BEST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCEThis was my first time buying a new car, and these guys made my experience as a whole fantastic.They didn’t rush me through any processes, even when I asked the same question probably 3 or 4 times for my own clarification. I wanted to know the differences in models, why the prices changed within each category and so many other things. Other salesmen have rushed me through the same questions elsewhere. Santa Barbara Honda was one of the most welcoming and happiest to assist dealership that I’ve been to. The service here was great. Even with short staff everyone approached us to make sure we were okay whenever they had the chance to. My car was washed and filled with gas, they did not have to but they did that just shows how much customers are appreciated here. I definitely recommend purchasing a car here.
Upon request, a very nice staff showed is immediately where level 2 charging station was located,. The charging was complementary, I wish all Honda dealerships do the same.

Ive visited several times now for a variety of issues and have always found friendly and attentive employees who make me feel like a valued customer. The are quick to offer explanations and advice regardless of my predicament.
Tried to order a 2021 accord touring from them with NO extra options and they said, no problem. After they ran my credit though, they told me I had to pay for optional door edging and glass etching. Total scammers. Never buy a car from these people. Went to thousand oaks instead and got exactly what I wanted at a fair price. Definitely worth the drive.

I worked with Kirby & Greg to purchase a 2020 Honda Accord Hybrid. Both individuals were very kind and helpful.There were a few hang-ups with the financing that I found to be frustrating but the dealership and I worked together to make the deal happen. I even ended up with better financing terms than I would have made out with from the start of the process when it was all said and done. I completed the customer satisfaction survey and was contacted by Greg from Honda to apologize for some of the initial frustrations at the beginning of the sale.I thought it was really nice that he took the time to apologize for the inconveniences and explain some items in detail. Looking back at the situation they did a lot to help get me into my new car and I couldnt be more grateful.I received great service and care during my visit and have been enjoying my new ride. I had a really bad experience at a different Honda dealership, I paid for a premium oil change service and tire rotation. A couple of days laters I was on my way to Arizona with my family, thinking that that specific Honda dealership had taken care of my vehicle and was ready for the trip. Imagine my surprise when I hear a piece of the car dragging while driving in the highway. It turns out the other dealership failed to properly secure the splash guard under the car, frustrated I called them and asked for a solution; short of them telling me I had to take it back, they didnt offer a real solution, they told me to take it to another dealership close to my location, and explain the situation to see if they could help. Turns out that dealership was Honda of Santa Barbara. Not only did they pick up the ball, but Bonnie went above and beyond to make sure that the car was in driveable condition for the trip, they took me in, even though they were so busy and made sure a solution was given. The bolts and pins needed to fix the guard were not properly replaced and they showed me how the other dealership didnt even attach the guard as it was intended. I have to say that without the service techs at Honda of Santa Barbara I wouldnt have made it in time to Arizona and would have lost my hotel reservations. Thank you so much!

Awful experience with service here. Went in to get my air conditioner fixed and after dropping off the car was called to come pick it back up because they didn’t have the right parts to perform the service. A day later I got a call that the parts had come in and I could drop the car off next day for service. After dropping off the car, I never received any communications (although Jim told me he tried to call) that they actually didn’t receive one of the two parts needed to fix the air conditioner. After complete frustration, I went back a fourth time to pick up my unserviced car. It makes no sense that I was told the parts had arrived, but no one actually checked to see with their own eyes if they came. I will be taking all future services to another Honda.
Great place, wonderful service, nice and friendly people. But when you trying to buy a car from them, than you need some skill to bargain!
This five star rating is for Bonnie in the service department. Bonnie is an incredible asset to Honda of Santa Barbara and the company in general. Her strong work ethic is exemplary. Bonnies interpersonal skills are ideal as she demonstrates an incredible level of professionalism and a friendly demeanor simultaneously. She is always courteous and punctual. She can be depended on, and is very knowledgeable. Her attention to detail and follow-up are exemplary. She is an incredible person and should be promoted and compensated accordingly. Although that would be challenging as I would consider Bonnie to be an INVALUABLE employee and an AMAZING person.
Ive only been in once with my relatively new car, for a fuel pump recall. The scheduling went well and my experience with Bonnie at intake was fine. The car was ready sooner than expected!

Bonnie and her team in service rock! She gave me useful information, was accommodating of my schedule and finished servicing my car earlier than anticipated. On top of that, she is efficient and fun to work with. I have often have avoided working directly with a dealer, but because of Bonnie, with my Honda, I prefer it.
Santa Barbara Honda is not the closest dealership to us by any means but they gave us a price nobody else could beat. Coming from Camarillo, we only dealt with sales people willing to give us an out the door price over the phone. Once there, the process was fast and painless. I highly recommend this dealership!

When I was looking for a car, a friend of mine highly recommended going to SB Honda because of its exceptional Service Department - and mentioned Bonnie by name. After being introduced and a few interactions with Bonnie, I personally experienced it. She is my go to person for any car related issues. She is just amazing. She is very knowledgeable, professional and trust worthy.
Went in for a routine service and oil change and as it can happen, a few discoveries were made on our Honda Pilot that needed immediate attention. Our service advisor, Bonnie went above and beyond to make sure we had all the necessary information to make informed decisions about service, made sure to show us visuals, helped me arrange a ride when I had missed the shuttle, and was just overall a fantastic person to work with on what could have easily been a stressful experience. At one point even spoke to the service manager Scott who was also incredibly helpful in making sure we were taken care of.
Worked us in on short notice to test and ultimately replace our battery a day before we were supposed to leave on a cross country trip. Carlos was very helpful.

The service center is amazing! I did not purchase my Honda from this location, but every time I need service or an issue comes up, the friendly team at Santa Barbara Honda is there to help. I recently went in for my cars first maintenance (oil change and tire rotation), and their service tech Bonnie did an amazing job of explaining the procedures in layman terms. I was called immediately after the service was done. I am very happy with the service I received here, and I definitely recommend you go to this location.

Received a safety recall notice for my car and immediately made an appointment online. I received a confirmation shortly after for my preferred day and time (10/11 at 9:00am). Bonnie greeted right away when I arrived and was very helpful, knowledgeable and quick. The shuttle driver (wish I remembered his name) introduced himself and said he’d be waiting for me to take me to my destination. When I picked up my car I was pleasantly surprised to find that that had washed my car and did a full inspection for free. Every staff member I encountered this morning was friendly and kind, I’ll definitely be back!
Family road trip from San Diego to San Francisco and the battery on our old but usually trusty CRV started to die. It was late so I made a reservation online for the next morning. I got a confirmation by 7am and managed to start the car and drive to the service center by 8am. Jim at Santa Barbara Honda had us in, diagnosed, and battery replaced in less than 1 hour. Vacation saved!
My earlier experience at this Honda dealership was not so good so I switched my service advisor to work with Bonnie. Shes great! I finally felt heard, like she cared about my vehicle concern and I appreciated her professionalism and was able to trust.
Had a great salesman, Korey, who pushed nothing on us, just let us take out time to look and drive and evaluate. The office had no hidden costs that magically appeared on the invoice at the last minute. The staff here made the entire process as quiet and courteous as I can imagine it ever being. A fine surprise since we went in armed with stories of all the things that can go wrong when purchasing a car.
I came in for my specific other whom every morning finds a reason to piss me off. There was one guy even though i felt he half ass helped me it was better than the lady who was clearly available and yet ignored me. Yet after patiently waiting a service man literally flipped my anger to an awesome appreciative turn around. I left with much appreciation for not HONDA but the Angel as i felt that DID HIS JOB AND WAS BEYOND COURTEOUS. FOR THAT I THANK THE CREATOR FOR ALLOWING THAT MAN TO BE PRESENT AT honda.

Our 2004 Accord was having some scary issue - generating smoke and burning smell while driving. Turns out that it was related to a safety recall about the power steering fluid hose. I called the Santa Barbara Honda and talked with service advisor Bonnie. Bonnie was extremely helpful and scheduled us to come in for a repair right away at no charge. They finished the repair very efficiently and they even washed our car afterwards. Great experience!

All these other old reviews are outdated. Honda SB has good selection of well-priced vehicles, and sales associates who are courteous and professional. Services people are also reliable and upfront about their actions and prices. Would definitely recommend a Honda to others!
I bought a 2019 Insight here and felt like the salesman, Hanz, was professional and generally knowledgeable. They were very inflexible with the price and I was shocked that no warranties were included further ballooning the price. Brought my car in for 2 oil changes and after scheduling an appointment still had over an hour wait time. The second time I was waiting over an hour and a half but when I inquired about my car it was washed but never serviced and forgotten about. I was told I could bring my car back the next day for a free oil change only to find out when I called the following day the person I had dealt with was off. Add that to the obnoxious and unfriendly secretary polluting the waiting area with her barking commands for various people to answer their lines. My Honda Insight is a pretty great car though.

Depends on what youre doing there, I guess. My wife and I went there on a Sunday afternoon, because we were in the market to lease a new Civic, and wanted to see what they had on hand. The first salesman we bumped into was Christian Medel, and he worked his rear off for us ... we saw pretty much every class of Civic they had, and he ended up finding us an EX that was within our budget range. The sales manager prepared at least three different lease proposals for us, on multiple cars/classes, so we could weigh the pros/cons of each, and once we picked the car/lease we wanted, the guys stayed past their closing time to get the car cleaned up and get our paperwork done. We never felt pressured or misled, and were naturally delighted with the car.

Horrible experience. Jose the car dealer gave me the run around. I told him my budget and was told twice that they would be able to work something out. He cancelled our 1st appointment because the initial manager, Greg that was helping was not there. He told me to come back and when I did go back they gave me the same exact numbers as the first time! I was so annoyed. Ive been nothing but straight forward with my budget. A waste of time! Do yourself a favor and drive the distance to abother dealership. Im taking my business else where. NEVER AGAIN SB HONDA.
I came here for service on my Acura on a Saturday because Acura was closed. I had such a great experience Im so glad I ended up here. It was decently busy but Bonnie was great and took care of me. She got me in out with a full inspection, oil change and complimentary car wash in just over an hour for an incredibly amazing price. I highly recommend this dealership.

Jim is always so professional and always answers all my questions in depth and makes the most adequate recommendations as to what kind of services my car needs. Whenever he makes any recommendations I trust his judgment, and trust that the information he is giving me is accurate. I called the SB Honda dealership 2 times to ask about my key fob that had stopped working. I wanted to see if they could tell me if it needed to be reprogrammed and is so they tell me how much it would be before I had to buy anything. Both times they told they would not charge to look at it and to bring it by and if I needed to reprogram or get a new key then they would charge for those services. Once I got there (and wasted time/gas) the guy at the service area told me it would be $110 just to tell me if it needed to be reprogrammed. I told him I had called twice and he did not seem to care. Which was annoying because I had called and specifically asked that. He was also rude about it as if it was ridiculous that I did not want to shell out $110 (possibly more if I did need the new key) for something that was going to take 5 min tops. I went home and googled it and fixed it in 15 min. Both keys work now! It was so simple and FREE! They just lost a customer. I will not be going to them for servicing anymore.
Honda of Santa Barbara is top notch when it comes to auto service. I got myself into quite a pickle last Saturday when I lost the keys to my Honda Pilot. My car was towed to Honda of Santa Barbara and Jim Woltman went the extra mile to help me get out of a bad situation. He is kind, knowledgeable, friendly and professional. I also want to recognize Pam - she never made me feel like a fool for loosing my keys and treated me with kindness when I had to make multiple calls to the dealership that day. I am so grateful to the team at Honda of Santa Barbara and HIGHLY recommend them for service. Its a rare experience to find such kind caring professionals in this crazy world - but have faith - this team is there and ready to assist.
Dont go for service! They will rip you off! My wife saw that her maintenance light was on so she took it in. I guess she forgot that her father had serviced it not long ago. He did put, in a VERY visible spot, a note that said he put synthetic oil in it and the milage that it needed to be changed. The dealership did not tell her about the note and that she didnt need to get her oil changed and they changed it anyway and charged her $400. If they had told her about the note Im sure she would have realized that her dad serviced it and she didnt need to spend the extra money to get a lower grade oil put in. TOTAL RIP OFF!!!!
I bought my Honda Civic from the Ventura dealership, but travelling down there for routine maintenance was not practical. I was a little hesitant due to the reviews, but I could not be more pleased. Yes there is a wait for service work, but overall the work is top quality and the service reps are extremely friendly. Bonnie in particular has helped me through the repair process many times, and has helped me take advantage of warranties I did not know existed. I would definitely recommend SB Honda for vehicle service.
Had a recall appointment and was told I could get a free rent a car since the person who scheduled the appointment told me it would take 2hrs for my service and I needed to work. When I got there, I told Jim that I would like to get a rent a car and come back and pickup my car at lunch, 2 1/2 hrs later. He convinced me there would be no need and I would be out of here quicker then it would take to get me a car. After waiting an hour I asked to speak with him, as I had not made arrangements with my work to be gone this long. He said they just started working on it. I asked why he told me it would be quick and he said he was sorry as he walked away. He didnt even hear me out, very rude. I ended up waiting over 2 hrs and had to skip lunch at work and working overtime to make up for my hours. Apparently they didnt have the part they needed and told me he would call me in 4 days to finish some electrical work. Very inconsiderate and horrible service. While I was here multiple other people had to wait 2 hrs for an oil change. At the dealership, thats an expensive oil change. I drove to work, late and frustrated. On my way home, as Im driving the car shuts off. No power. Basically, Honda didnt finish something and made me wait 35 minutes for a tow truck, 20 minute drive back to the dealership, and then I got a new rental car. Scott, the manager was great! Very considerate, listened to me, and got me the rent a car. Thats why I gave 1 star.

My car was making a whining noise I called Honda they said come in and well take a listen. Jim Woltman was wonderful he listened to it and thought it was probably the alternator. It wasnt going to be safe to drive.He got me in right away and it was the alternator. Hes a great advisor, he listened and helped out with fabulous service. Thank you Jim!

Jim Woltman at SB Honda is terrific!! He is always friendly and accommodating - works very hard to coordinate with my schedule and is very considerate of servicing needs and costs. And...I love it when he estimates a price and then comes in lower!! The free carwash is a bonus too.

Just bought a Pilot EX-L. The cost of the car was a little out of our league, but they were patient with us and waited for us to come around. By far the best deal I could find, Ventura didnt come close. They also came up to the price I needed for my trade in. I ended up selling it on my own, but was very impressed with how hard they worked to get me into this car. Baylee the sales guy was great, very mellow and knowledgeable, what he didnt know, he found out. Greg the Sales manager was awesome. He pulled all the right strings to make it happen and even threw in a couple goodies at the end.... We are very appreciative and impressed. All in all, a great experience. Why anyone would go outside Santa Barbara to by a Honda and not support the local Dealership is nutty. No reason for it that I can see..
I have been to this place a few times for service. Originally I went in for transmission work and have been twice now to get a transmission problem fixed, but still no fix. Each time, I have unfortunately, dealt with Wayne K. He is totally worthless, unfriendly, and unhelpful. I was getting tired of the B.S. and today showed up at 4:15pm, when they close at 5, for a simple oil change. Wayne, being the worthless ogre that he is, says their finishing up their work for the day and close at 5, so they wont be able to help me. If their finishing up, then cant they do a simple oil change? I didnt realize it was good business policy to turn away paying customers. Where I work Ive never turned away anyone during business hours and this is finally the last straw for this shanty of a business. I will never go back and I suggest that you dont either. There are certainly places with friendly service personnel who deserve your business over this crapshack. Heed the warnings!!
When I find out I made a mistake of changing my break fluid, I call back immediately and try to cancel my request. And the staff tell me it’s already in progressing and cannot be canceled. I understand that but when I try to ask more information he just said “Byebye” and hang up the phone. I feel really bad now!
My car catalytic converter started acting up on the way to Santa Barbara. I googled area Honda Dealerships and found Santa Barbara Honda. Bonnie Jiminez greeted me warmly at the service desk as I arrived. She was so kind and reassuring. She drove me to the airport to pick up my rental car, and then helped me navigate my way to a wedding I was attending at the Bacara Resort, just in time for the wedding march! Bonnie went out of her way to calm me down. I was worried about the cost of repairs. Bonnie used a $25 coupon, without me even asking, to lower the cost of the repairs. The repairs were extensive, but I was grateful that I had come to an honest repair center. Rest assured that you are in good hands at Santa Barbara Honda. These people are caring and helpful!
Deceptive pricing and will not stop calling after you leave the lot. Slimy management who will run your credit and refuse to provide you with the score. Id recommend going to a different dealership within the area but if youre set on a Honda, leave the area because it is worth avoiding this place.

The general manager Greg Meyers is very dishonest person .. He does not know how to deal with his customers . They are very dishonest and they will ruin your credit just to get money out of people ... I just hope the owner of this Honda knows how DIRTY HE WORKS. It was a really a horrifying experience !!!!!

Bought it thursday afternoon, arrived friday morning. Came in Friday afternoon and Scott helped me right away. I was in and out in just as Id hoped. Much appreciated!
One of their mechanics decided to try to pull a fast one on my wife and when she returned to pick up the car from what she had specifically requested as an oil change they had tried to charge for doing an inspection. This Inspection cost 300 dollars and the car is less than a year old. Not only completely unnecessary, but the way they went about it was very underhanded. We have used this Honda since we moved to Santa Barbara years ago and we will drive to Ventura now. If you still need to use it make sure you read the fine print and double check what they are asking you sign for. Be especially careful for a mechanic Able i believe his name was. Tends to fold the are where the price is when he hands you the sheet to sign.

Ive been to many Honda dealerships in many different areas and I have to say that this place (hands down) was one of the worst experiences. Not only did it take 1 1/2 hours for a simple oil change (after scheduling the appointment to ensure I would be fit in), and after asking MANY times, they assured me that the car wash would be included in my 90 minute wait. After the 90 minutes past and I headed to pay, I was told it would be ANOTHER 30 minutes for a car wash. The staff isnt overly friendly and assume that this is just how service is, with an almost deal with it mentality. Such a disappointment -- Ill be finding a temporary oil change place until I can go back to a Honda dealership that lives up to their name.
The salesman, name Edward, was not really in selling mood. And even though the advertising on their web site shows one thing in the reality they cannot give you that the same deal for some odd reason.
