Literally waited 25 minutes for our drinks just to get poorly made I guess iced coffee drinks but they had smoothie particles floating in them. The baristias are young and dont know what theyre doing was definitely not worth the 25 minute wait for the price. I mean for $7 each $15 and change total I could have got ten properly made drinks at Starbucks I was very excited to patronize this establishment the reviews are definitely not up to par with the actual service and products super bummed!!!!

Great coffee great people. Service a bit slow as it was first day of classes but it was worth the wait. Also, I didnt have any but bagel sandwiches are a staple here it seems.

I will always have distinct, fond memories of caje. The atmosphere is unmatched and the coffee is delicious. Waiting for your coffee or bagel is always a pleasant experience.

Love this place, great acai bowls. Mine had hemp seeds and honey granola. Also had a works breakfast bagel which was decent, not as good as bagels from IV Bagel. Latte had oat milk, which is rare. Love the little touches and unique flavors here.

Havent been in a few years but on my last two subsequent visits I found metal objects in my food: the first was a metallic bolt inside a plain cream cheese bagel. The second was multiple staples inside my Jeremy Supreme smoothie. Look before you bite!

My go-to for coffee! Love this place, not too expensive either.

Just finished a monster of a meal at Caje and loved every mouthful. I had the avocado toast to start followed by an Açaí bowl. The avocado toast was amazing, a thick piece of bread with a hearty spread of smashed avo drizzled with tangy balsamic. I didn’t have much room left but had to try the Açaí bowl which was a generous serving of fresh berries and bananas atop granola and Açaí, honey and chia seeds. Wow. So delicious I finished every morsel. I might need help walking out of here but I’m happy:)

On the off chance that I get to work from home, I work from Caje! Im obsessed with their Carmel latte. Its not too sweet and you still get a hint of espresso. I cannot comment on their food but the atmosphere and staff are wonderful. Love the free WiFi. Only disappointment is their outside seating- the table is too high for the seats making it really weird to work at // however inside is comfy.

Spectacular acai bowls

Best coffee in Isla Vista and probably Goleta. Cortado/Gibraltar is my go to. Half steamed milk half espresso. Super smooth. I dont get the food as it seems overpriced, but that is the case in all coffee shops.

Gourmet coffee roasters & coffee. Friendly setting in a college town.

Expensive, but nonetheless amazing and worth every penny! thank you being open during this time, as always friendly staff and great service. been a staple and go-to at my time @ ucsb, will definitely miss it :-(

This place has an amazing atmosphere that makes it challenging to leave. The staff is both friendly and knowledgeable with their drinks. The Bela Rose is one of the best matcha teas Ive had. This drink was not only beautifully presented, but tasted fantastic. Highly recommend this place.

I stopped here during my first time at UCSB. I was wanting something before headed to the beach. The woman were so patient and answered all my questions. The blended Mocha latte was delicious and easily dairy free accomodating. I def recommend.

Best drinks anywhere, no doubts. We got the caramel blended with two add shots and it was perfect. It wasnt too sweet, wasnt too watered, perfectly blended throughout. Additionally, the espresso shots were pulled perfectly, and tasted phenomenal. We also got the strawberry lemonade smoothie and it tasted amazing as well. It wasnt too sweet, it didnt taste artificial, and it had a swell aftertaste. The prices are competitive, and Im hoping my drinks are just as good next time, whenever that may be.

The last time I was there I got a blended mocha and was outside at the tables using my laptop while charging it. I was told by a blond employee that because I am (not a student) I was not allowed to sit there . Yes I am a local resident and yes bought their products on a regular basis and no it was not crowded. hardly anyone there. so yes age discrimination it is a real thing. Im a 60 year old woman and let me tell you that girl made me cry. I hope she gets fired. Someday carma will catch up to her and she will cry. Age, race, sex. Discrimination and profiling are all illegal. And wrong please be aware.

The absolute best matcha in the world - get the Bella rose with almond milk, you won’t regret it! And make sure to come by the Lab Social at night. Cajé becomes a bar that makes great cocktails, happy hour from 5:30-7:30. I have yet to have a bad experience here.

The coffee beans themselves are from handlebar (a local coffee roaster) and can be exceptional. The standard brewing can leave something to be desired in terms of bringing out the best. No pour over options, and a generally over packed by students location makes Cajé a place I wont go out of my way for.The staff are always polite, and always make your drink to order. The sandwiches are good, and the location when it isnt crowded can be very cozy. There arent great options around IV, but within a few miles there are far, far better choices.

I always stop at this coffee shop when Im in town. They know how to make the best coffee around. Some people dont know how to make a macchiato, or it tastes horrible, but this shop has me dreaming about theirs. The milk is perfectly steamed and just the right amount is put into each cup. They obviously use very high quality coffee.Every time I come in, the staff is very friendly and happy to see me. They are also very quick so you can stop in quickly. If youre looking for great coffee, this place is amazing.

Relaxing place to get coffee or tea and some food. Also great study place if you like some background noise like I do. Really friendly staff make me feel welcome especially Troy! 10/10

Great coffee and bagel sandwiches. Had an espresso that was delicious and a tasty mushroom cheese bagel sandwich with tomato and avocado. Nice outdoor patio for me and my dog.

Great place! Coffee is excellent (and not expensive!), the açai bowls are amazing, and the staff makes an effort to remember you even after just a couple days! I just wished there wasnt a surcharge (20 ct) for credit card but that wont stop me from returning there whenever Im in IV.

The lavender honey latte is truly delicious.

The smoothies here are breakfast in a cup. They have bagels, tea, and coffee too, but I go here so I can get a bunch of fruit blended with something like kale or avocado or peanut butter and attach it to my mouth like a feeding tube and slurp it up. There’s never enough seats indoors but the outdoor seats on the side have heaters for chilly weather.

The food in this place FILLS you. Those acai bowls are just a huge healthy meal. Also the matcha latteis by far the best I have had, very well mixed and not bitter. Seating is hard though, so if you can find a spot, great but you likely wont.

Best Coffee in IV by far!! Their coffee consistently tastes exactly like it should, espresso tastes awesome and milk is always steamed correctly. The people that work here love coffee and know how to make it right!Caje also probably played a huge part in me being able to graduate because of all the caffeine ;)

Weve been going to this daily place for 8 years (ok, just for one week every summer). They make great tasting coffee, and the patio is great for people watching!

The blended CAJE latte is the most scrumptious, refreshing coffee drink Ive ever had. Free WiFi is a definite plus.

Best espresso in IV. I usually order a machiatto, which is served more like a cortado than a strict machiatto. Ive been told their flat white is to die for. Its excellent espresso and consistently high quality. Good service, friendly people, plenty of outdoor seating. Beware that they dont have a bathroom, so plan accordingly.

CAJÉ is the gem of IV. Enjoy a perfect latte amongst a zebrawood and poured-concrete décor. The hours suck when school is out of session. Stay open regularly Caje! Despite this, they still get five stars and my heart.

Great laidback spot serving mostly students. Great service, but most importantly, the coffee is actually amazing.

They have a couple bagel sandwich options on their menu, though apparently no longer make them. They have very limited options, and the acai bowlI tried tasted like a bad smoothie poured in a cup with bird seeds thrown on top. Normally, I like acai bowls... but this place is only rated well because it is the only acai/smoothie place in the UCSB general vicinity.

They dont have any decaf espresso drinks at all. Seems like a pretty big negligence for a coffee shop. Even if people drink caffeinated, they often want a decaf in the afternoons or if its their second coffee of the day. And what about pregnant women?
