Oscar was very professional and made sure I was getting the best deal. In just a few hours, my car was fixed and ready to go. I will definitely go back for any future car issues.

Eric Krebs Automotive is a local Goleta auto repair shop. My mechanic recently retired and recommended Eric Krebs. His recommendation was spot on. All work was performed in a professional manner and the staff kept me informed and updated. This is my new “go to”auto repair shop.

They will take advantage of you if you don’t seem like a car person. They wanted to charge my partner 4 hours of labor ($600) to replace the spark plugs and 1 ignition coil on a 4 cylinder hatchback. Im not a particularly skilled mechanic but I showed my partner how to do it herself in 15 minutes.

I reserve 5-star reviews for the exceptional, and Eric Krebs Auto Repair certainly deserves it. My alternator failed while on a road trip far from home and AAA towed the car to Krebs - I know nothing about Goleta auto repair shops and I was just hoping for the best. Outside of my trusted local mechanic this had to have been the best experience ever. I was initially told that because of work volume my car could not be seen for at least a week, but they provided a diagnosis in far less time, and completed the work a full day earlier than promised. But, its the customer service that blew me away -- timely text and email updates, great communications and professionalism, my car was out front waiting for me on pick up day, and they even remembered that I had to take a train to get back to Goleta and asked me how my trip was. Stellar!

They generously inspected my brakes for free even though I had them repaired at another facility due to warranty issues.

As always, the service was courteous and excellent by Raphael and the team. I needed a smog test and they took care of me right away without an appointment and although they were busy. I appreciate the good people at Eric Krebs, a place I have been going to for more than two decades.

After failing a smog test, the mechanic recommended Krebs Auto Repair. I called and made an appointment. They said that they could get to my vehicle that day. I got a call a couple hours later, they were able to test and pass the smog test after a few adjustments. I would highly recommend them. They are clean and professional, and I am very pleased.

Erik Krebs Automotive are wonderful. Especially being that I am a woman and women get taken advantage of at a lot of automotive places, but not here. They explained everything to me. They showed me what was wrong and how they would fix it. I didnt even have to leave my car here as they have a nice lobby (with WiFi) where you can sit and wait for your car. My daughters car broke down while she is in school, and I was so nervous to have to go to a new mechanic and not being able to be there. But from the first call I made I knew I had found the right place. Rafael was knowledgeable and kind. The car was fixed in a day, and I was informed at such a timely manner. When my daughter picked up the car, she also felt they were friendly and gave her an explanation of what they did. We are both very happy and we highly recommend them!

A lot of personal time and money has been put into my 2006 Yukon Denali, however, I still had a check engine light that would pop up around 70 miles an hour/3000 RPM. They took my car in on the same day that I called, ran the diagnostics, reset the sensor and I had asked them if they could also check my steering sensor, this was after they were done with the vehicle, and they were very accommodating and did at no additional charge.The office is clean, they left my vehicle clean and I am very satisfied!

I was greeted by Rafael who’s really professional, knowledgeable& takes good notes for the mechanics to follow. After having my car overnight, they followed up & provided me with two estimates, one for each problem. Plus, they offer an AAA discount! They’ll keep that info in your file so you get it each time! They were very professional, however, their prices are very inflated. I was quoted about $1000 for parts (water pump and associated parts). You can buy same genuine OEM parts for about $500. A 100% markup on parts is really excessive.

Fast and honest but they charge a high mark-up on parts. They dont deliver any extra service touches. Just no-nonsense in and out mechanic. Id go there before a corporate shop. Not bad, just nothing special - 3 stars.

My van wouldn’t start. After having had a “full tune up at another place. Thought it might have been the starter.. which upset me because we’d just replaced that recently. My dad raised us rebuilding motors and knowing about this stuff. Eric knee by simply listening to me try and start the car how to explain what might be wrong.It wasn’t the starter.. but he knew how to explain what he was looking for. They found that the previous tune-up hadn’t been as complete as We had been assured: the distributor cap and rotor hadn’t been replaced.. only the plugs.The van starts fine now.

I was referred here by Firestone. The people here are friendly and have taken care of my car better than it has been, in a long time. I used to take it to ventura, but the place closed.

These guys are the greatest. They know their cars, theyre determined to do the job correctly, and they really care about their customers. Together with their great communication, I’m a total convert.

I have been going to Krebs Automotive for a few years now and really like them. Several years ago, another shop struggled to find the problem with my car overheating and ended up telling me I needed this HUGE fix that was going to cost thousands. I went to Krebs for a second opinion and they happened to find a leak (I forget the specific area)- they fixed that for a few hundred and I have not overheated since. I go to them for everything now. They are excellent at explaining what they will do when looking in to an issue, and they will tell you how crucial it may or may not be. I never feel like they are trying to get more out of me and everyone I have dealt with is super friendly. I definitely recommend.

Unfortunately, this did not go as planned. Brought corvette in to have them fix/stop squeaky belt noise which only happens in the AM, goes away when warmed up. Left the car there for the night and the next day they told me it was my air conditioning belt. OK - great - I gave them the green light to replace. Picked up the car and brought it home. Next day, started the car and the squeak was back. Took it back and they say it now needs the main belt replaced. I pay for them to replace this belt. What they did was replace the main belt and sprayed both with silicone or similar (which is a way they mentioned in conversation would temporary stop the squeak). I told them I wanted it fixed permanently (correctly) - which is why I paid for both belts to be replaced. Well, the squeak is slowly coming back due to the silicone wearing off - no other conclusion. I cannot take it back for a third time. No more confidence in their ability. I cant afford to waste any more time. Going to the dealer. Be advised.

Love this shop. Emails u detailed reports with pictures of any problems your car has. Quality work and employees. Plus inside has a nice lounge and coffee.

This man scammed me. Beware. He will do the same to you. He said hed fix everything that needed fixing for about $1500. I thought it was a good deal, until about 3 days later when the breaks that he supposedly fixed, were still bad and still needed fixing on top of everything else. I didnt want to believe he scammed me because hes a Christian like myself, but this place really is untrustworthy. Like I said, watch out, please. He also scammed my best friend. My friend took his BMW (brand new and in perfect condition) there for a simple oil change, but then only a few days later, his car broke down on the freeway. His fuel pump went out. We then had to have the car towed to the shop that night, so it could be fixed the next morning. Without having to even explain what really went wrong, the same guy who worked on the car, knew exactly what went wrong without even looking at it. If youre reading this, please, please go somewhere else. I cant get my money back, but I can at least save you yours.

The best I have had in a LONG time. Man these guys really know what theyre doing! I went in for a smog/check engine light issue, and within a short amount of time they called back with the results, what my options were to fix it, and a very fair price. And Kris will answer any question you have with no problem. I feel so safe now that I have taken my car there! Thanks guys! You rock!

Just recently on September 12th I took a car I had just purchased to Eric. For an overall inspection since I didnt know much about the car. He was very helpful in giving me very detailed things that needed to be done and also gave me an estimate, which now a days is hard to get believe it or not. So hes taking care of my car as Im writing this review and feel in good hands and dont feel like Im waiting for a crazy estimate. Ive taking cars to other shops just to tell me that its leaking oil from somewhere and charge me 75$ just to tell me what I already knew. Hes straight forward and to the point and thats why I rate him a 5* I will continue to take my cars to Eric. I highly recommend..:)

This place was a really great place at one time. . But know all they do is hustle you . Especially there smog guy super rude and so unprofessional really shady person . He even laughed when my car came up as a gross polluter. Instead of trying to help me out with my problem .

My old smog guy was no longer open so I asked on Facebook and multiple people recommended this place both on my page and by private message. How did I not know about this best kept secret for smog service?!?! Anyhow- fast, fair price, great service, professional and adept. Took my truck in to have both front and rear u joints replaced on a 95 chevy silverado. All the work was done correctly and was done quickly. But when it came time for the bill of over $600 I wasnt so happy. After paying and driving away I started asking around to other shops how much they would have charged..... They tell me up joints for front and back would be around $300 for parts and labor!!!!! I can understand fluctuations in price but $300 is robbery. Lesson of the day, know what your having done and what it should cost.

Went in to have a new distributor cap and rotor installed and found the distributor itself had worn where the cap screws on. Eric re-thread the distributor and put on the new cap for the price originally quoted and my old truck runs great. Thanks from Tom Sepa aka Skylar Thomas.

Stear clear of this place!!! They fixed the wrong part of my brakes and I still got a leaking master cylinder which is not safe for the road. I confronted them and he blew up big time....very short fuse that guy Kris Nicastro.

Called them for a quote and the gentleman on the phone was very rude and refused to give me a quote as it takes 20 minutes to come up with one and I never get the job anyways. That was after he insulted me with a line of questioning as to what work I needed done and how could I actually know what is wrong with my car. Very rude and disrespectful, I would not recommend any work by this place based on their poor communication and insults.
