Unprofessional customer service. Rude, condescending, apathetic, and antagonistic. Take your money to a different liquor store.Also, masks are supposed to be required, but the staff clearly treats it as an option here.EDIT: The response I received from the owner is that they do require masks, and the only issue involved lack of IDs. They did not address the disconcerting, unprofessional behavior of their staff (which i detail below).1. Foss may say they require masks, but they were not enforcing it.2. We decided to leave and go get ice cream at the Little Man Ice Cream shop. The Foss employee followed us from the register and harrassed us in front of the ice cream vendor, even going so far as to demand they not serve us. So we left, and when we tried to call to complain about this behavior we were hung up on.You say you take the health and safety of your guests very seriously, but this behavior was the complete opposite.

Wonderful!! Its a charming little spot with interesting selections and most importantly - friendly and knowledgable staff. A few months ago, I requested a wintery-bourbony cocktail and one that I could easily convert to a vodka-based cocktail. I dont recall his name darn it -but he gave be recipes for a Thai Basil Old Fashioned and a Vodka cocktail w/ same ingredients. They were HUGE hits at our gathering. Heading there today for some Absinthe, cocktail cherries and something fun. Youll enjoy your experience at Foss Co. Wine etc.

Foss offers a great selection of excellent wines rarely found in other shops. Their offerings range from ‘inexpensive’ to ‘something special’. In addition, there is a great selection of beer, ciders, and spirits. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. A lovely place to visit in the heart of Golden.

I moved to Golden a little over a year ago, and Foss quickly became my go to for wine and whiskey. Its in a great location, near my favorite restaurants, and they have a great price point variety. Recently, I moved about 30 miles North, but I still make the trek down because of the incredible selection and world class customer service. Brendan and Eric have gone out of their way to accommodate and educate me, and theyre never too busy to help me shop for items, even if I dont describe them well. This is absolutely my favorite booze stop in Colorado. Forever a loyal customer!

I grew up in Golden with the old Foss General Store. I visited recently, and the latest iteration is a high quality liquor store with a fantastic selection and helpful staff. I will definitely be back whenever Im in Golden.

I’m in town from Minnesota and stopped in for a Colorado craft beer. I met the one of the owners, and she was super nice and knowledgeable! I wanted an IPA equivalent to my favorite Pseudo Sue, and she recommended The Hop Down from VHL’S Brewing Company. Wow!! Blown away from this IPA. Most definitely the best IPA I have ever had!! Thank you for the recommendation! This beer is amazing!

I’ll save you some time: spend your money here. Whether you’re buying a gift for an important someone, or treating yourself, this is among the ultimates. The owner is an endless pool of knowledge around every can, bottle, or general catagory. Come with a specific need, or even just a desire to find something new, exciting, and/or rare. Owner will be starting wine and beer of the month clubs soon! You want in.

Not the biggest beer selection, but the best in town for sure. Apparently, their wine selection is fantastic, too, but Im taking my wifes word on this (I know nothing about wine). If youre looking for something other than the same beers youll find in almost every liquor store, you need to come check this place out.

While I dont remember THIS PLACE, I do remember FOSS DRUGS, the place before the liquor store, as I was hopping it would still be there if I ever returned to Golden again. It was more than just a pharmacy, as you could find most anything you could never imagine finding in a pharmacy! When I was working at Coors, I would come by here every so often and look around, as I purchased a Pentax ME Super 35mm SLR Camera from this store back then in 1984, and used it all the time while taking trips into the Rockies. Foss had probably the largest collection of antique liquor bottle decanters sealed with the original tax seals on them. I remember going there and using their rotary dial telephones in what was small wooden-framed spaces where a person could be seated and close a bi-folding door in order to have privacy, close to the rear entrance of the store. I never did walk around town, as I only went to a few places, but I should have maybe checked out other places. But this one place in Golden Colorado stood out more than the rest, and now its gone forever, now only in my mind.
