I had a great experience at Import Auto Sales. They have a very friendly and helpful staff. Max was very upfront about my car having a salvage title (which I was originally nervous about), but he showed me pictures of what had happened to the vehicle and described (in detail) what they had needed to do in order to fix it. The car is solid. Max was also very helpful with answering all the questions I had, and he was very enjoyable to talk to in general. They give a 30-day warranty, but he was nice enough to do a little extra work I had needed, after that 30-day warranty had passed, for free. I would definitely recommend this place.

I had the BEST experience with Ty at Import Auto. I was nervous about the prospect of buying a salvaged vehicle, but Ty was direct and honest about what happened to the Subaru I was interested in and even sat down to show me the photos of the damage taken at Auction. He was patient with my questions and when my credit union was going to require me to come up with 30% of the value of the car, Ty assisted me with a loan application through Royal Credit Union instead. I cant even describe how thrilled I am with my 2020 Subaru! It is now in perfect condition and was $10k less than what it had originally sold for. They also give a 30 day / 1000 mile powertrain warranty. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone.

I usually dont write reviews but after the service, friendliness, and responsiveness that I received while doing business with Max at Import Auto Sale, I felt compelled give a review. First off, I live in Colorado so doing used car business with someone out of state can be very risky. As you can imagine, I needed to asked questions about the car and needed reassurance about Imports Sales business practices. I called and got the pleasure of working with the manager Max. In my opinion, Max went above and beyond to help make my experience smooth and timely. He went the extra mile by sending additional photos to having the car inspected at a local Infiniti Dealership to increase my comfort level. I was able to fly into Minneapolis, spend about 45 minutes buying the car, and was on the road back to Colorado. After the sale I was able to text Max with additional question in which he promptly responded. I could go on and on but Im running out of space. Great job Max at Import Auto.

Call them yesterday to check if their cars are savage or not since it didn’t show the title of the cars on their site. I talked to one of the guy on on the “service line” he was being rude as heck! Telling me “No, I asked you did you dial the right number?! You supposed to dial the “sell line.” He sounds to have an accent too. Really rude customer service! Was thinking I’ll come check out some of the cars but will not come anymore.

Import Auto Sales gave me the best experiencing with purchasing my Subaru Outback! They were incredibly kind, easy to work with, and helpful throughout the entire process. I’d highly recommend working with them for any of your vehicle needs!!

Important to note, they sell salvage title vehicles. Thus, the take vehicles designated total loss by insurance companies and fix them and sell them. Prices are good but with this caveat.

Drove 5 hours to look at a 2010 mazdaspeed 3....first off the man (ty) was rude after i put up an offer. the car was NO WHERE NEAR the quality it showed in pictures. cosmetic work needed everywhere....told him it will be needing major work in the future and had ZERO cares. i have no intent to ever recommend or come back this business....sad day.

I drove 2 hours to see a vehicle I was really interested in, I thought maybe we could negotiate on a price since the vehicle has a salvage title, when I offered a price that I was going to pay in cash Max quickly replied with “hell no” a simple no would have been okay it was very unprofessional on his behalf I was really disappointed since everyone that has reviewed this place says good things about a Max guy hopefully this max guy i had interacted with isn’t the same max that everyone is saying good things about because he was Arrogant! He said good luck finding a truck for what you’re willing to give me right now so when I find a truck I will call import auto and tell them that i found one.

Were upfront right away that truck had a salvage title. There were a few issues with the truck, but they stood behind the repairs they did as well as fixing an unrelated issue that was not covered by warranty, no charge. It was a positive buying experience.

Searching for a specific truck via internet, I found a potential vehicle at Import. When I called to ask some questions, the guy acted like I was inconveniencing him. I had to pull info out of him, including the facts that the truck had been totalled and they bought it at a salvage yard. I had already learned this info from researching the vehicle on Edmunds. This guy did not volunteer any of this info, only confirmed it when I asked him about it. When I mentioned that I was from out of state, he used the age-old excuse of I have another call, and I have to answer it, but I will call you right back...Im still waiting for his call. So I decided to check this place out. Google reviews tell me that this place is either really good with providing a good purchase experience, or really bad. Hardly any middle ground. The worst reviews seem to filter down to manager Max. I dont know if that is who I spoke with, but I am hoping for the customers sake that one business doesnt suffer from employing two ***holes, so I am guessing that it was Max that I talked to. Funny thing is, even though it turns out the truck was in a front-end collision, and needed basically a whole new complete front end, along with some engine repair, and came with a salvage title, I was still interested in the truck! After reading reviews about Import, I decided to look elsewhere, and found another vehicle. My first impression of Import is that they are NOT very transparent. If you buy from them, you better do your own homework first. Since I see that occasionally Import reacts/responds to customer reviews to set the record straight I just cant wait to see if they respond to my criticism. Glad you folks up in Minnesota have this place, and not us down here in the Buckeye state!!

Worst experience I have ever had with a dealer and I buy and sell cars all the time. Im 100% sure that the 5 star reviews are fake. I looked at a car at this dealer and put $300 down on it. I had it inspected and the inspection came out with a laundry list of items including signs of a significant engine issue. The sales person dances around the issue saying its fine. Instead of offering any discount the dealer offers to charge me $$$$ more for a warranty. The dealer said they would refund my deposit if I still wanted to back out. I backed out and after a few weeks it was clear my deposit wasnt going to be refunded. I filed a complaint with my credit card company and the sales person lies on his response to my credit card company and says that I was supposed to pay for the inspection. It was clearly communicated to me over the phone that I would be refunded my deposit. It was never expressed or implied that I had to pay for the inspection. A legitimate business would have called the customer if they had an issue like this. I have no problem continuing to fight this charge until it is resolved even if it costs me money to do it. Id suggest that everyone stays far away from this dealer.

Limited experience, but very good. I was scheduling an appointment to see a car and the sales guy (Max) said, Just so you know, this car has a rebuild/salvage title. I had wondered because the price was pretty good and was going to check on CARFAX if he hadnt been forthcoming. But I didnt even have to ask about the title, he brought it up himself. That goes a long way in my book.

My wife and I recently bought a used Toyota Sienna from this dealership and Levi was our salesman. The van had a salvaged title on it but there was absolutely nothing wrong mechanically with the van. Upon our first arrival there, Levi told us to take for as long of test drive as we wanted and didnt ride with us which was something we enjoyed because we didnt feel like it was a pressured ride along. After getting back we listed off a few things that we wanted fixed and when it was all said and done they were all fixed the best they could be. The closing process went as smooth as it could and Levi was very helpful through it all.

My experience of buying a used car here was smooth and pressure-free. They let me take a test drive first thing, and were very up front about the vehicles history. They offered a fair trade-in value on my old car, and a great price on the new one. They charged the minimum amount on fees, and the financing process was easy. In all, great customer service and a stress-free buying experience.

I bought my car here 2 years ago. a 2010 e class. everywhere else I went told me what they couldnt do but Max was realistic with me AND he was able to find what I wanted for financing even after he thought it couldnt be done. Super impressed with this experience, still love my car. Where to begin... let’s start off by saying this. My wife and I have been in search of a used Honda Odyssey she found one at Import Auto’s. I have never been the type to buy from a non branded store however I was convinced to come here. Wow I love this place! Max is such a patient guy. I purchased a beautiful used SAAB and shortly thereafter the check engine light came on and I was like uh oh. I took it back and talked to Max who told me not to worry about it as they would fix it no problem. While it was in being fixed they balanced the tires, polished the rotors and changed the spark plugs. I didnt even ask them to do these things. Max just did all that stuff for free! I have purchased a lot of vehicles over the years and this was by far the BEST car buying experience I have ever had. I highly recommend Import Auto Sales. You wont be disappointed.

We had a great experience with Import Auto Sales. The car price was fair, and there were no surprises during the purchase process. We purchased a very clean, well running and very sweet 2005 Saab- it was a rare manual that we were looking for. The car is super fun and runs great. My mechanic could not find anything wrong with it and there are still no surprises. I like that this dealer will work to try and find a car you need at auctions for you. Next time I am in a market for a clean vehicle I will keep this in mind.

I have been looking for awhile now and they had exactly what I was looking for. After I saw the car I fell in love with it but I was a little hesitant because the vehicle has a prior salvage title..They explained the reason and that calmed me down after I found out the process the car goes through made me feel better and that I’m buying a safe vehicle from them. I received a 30 day or 1,000mile warrenty!! I also got an extended warranty up to 100,000 additional miles for a great deal! 2months down the road I’m as happy as can get with my purchase of my Subaru especially with MN being “Bipolar” and all! Nowadays its very difficult to buy a decent shaped car from dealership for a reasonable price. Usually you end up having major problems with the car in short period of time. Fortunately, I found Import Auto Sales 3 years ago and bought a Lexus from them. For three years I had no problems with the car at all. I changed oil, tires and a 20$ thermostat - THATS IT. I was able to sell the car for the same price as I bought it three years ago. Last week I purchased 18k car for 15k from Import Auto Sales and completely satisfied with my purchase. After the 2 hour drive we finally arrived and the staff at Import had already had the car cleaned and up front waiting for us. After the test drive we decided to purchase the vehicle. One thing that worried us was the prior salvage title but after hearing all the steps the car goes through made our decision clear. We love our new car and would definitely recommend you folks to anyone who’s looking for a high qualified used vehicle! I had a wonderful experience with Max and Alkon when I needed to find a bigger vehicle. They let me easily test drive the vehicle multiple times without any of the usual sales pressure and when it came to financing, working with Alkon was very straight forward despite a non-conventional set up that I was looking for. Dealership experience was fine but don’t use their service center- they’ve been sitting on my car for over a week. They had to fix it for free because they told me it was fixed when I bought it- I was skeptical so I had them guarantee in writing that They’d fix it for free if it broke. Long story short, it did break and the service department has my car and stopped answering my calls checking on when it would be ready. It was supposed to be three days ago.

Sold me a vehicle that is unsafe for the road. I put nearly 4k into a 16k vehicle and still isnt fixed. Its been roughly four months and I still have yet to get my title.

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and I received wonderful customer service. My car buying process was simple and painless and I would consider them for future car purchases.

The person talked to us seemed ignorant or rude, since he basically did not want to spit one extra word. After test drive, we pointed out some issues we found on the car and at one point, he jumped into the car and drove off, without saying a word on what was he gonna do and left costumers wondering in the parking lot. He actually was test driving the car, of course. But his rudeness and ignorance brought my experience of worst salesman to a brand new level. Good job there! And of course I dont remember his name, because he did not bother to introduce himself. And he lost our business, no wonder.
