Good selection of items and toppings, and friendly staff, but the soft serve ice cream seems overly aerated or something. People I was with compared the texture to melted marshmallow. A bit odd. Flavor was fine...just the texture was off.

Great ice cream and yogurt, and all variations of them. Very popular with locals since 1955 when it opened. Outdoors only, no indoors at all. Closed in winter. Good parking and benches right there. Highly recommend it!!

Great little Ice Cream shop in the center of Downtown Glenview! Ice cream tastes really good & prices are amazing. I believe it’s $2.75 for a Medium cone, and personally the cone looks a lot bigger then a medium! Candy blasts taste really good as well. Everything here is super refreshing. Lines are a bit crowded (not long), but everything clears up fast!

Loved this place. Friendly staff and environment. Dont know how it looks like in a week day though. Definitely visiting them again soon.

Reasonably priced ice cream and other treats and nice people! It gets busy sometimes, especially on weekends, but they move the line pretty fast. Theyve been around long enough and know what theyre doing that is for sure.

Stop here to grab a Hot Dog and it was absolutely delicious!! Id a candy blast for dessert reeses pieces and butterfinger pieces in ice cream which was equally delicious.. and the Cashiers was super nice and very professional.. Well worth every penny and another visit..Its cash only good ppl..

Im A big fan. Dip cones for the win! The caramel apple Sunday is also fantastic. Lines are as long as ever but they keep it moving. I think its a reasonable price for what you get too.

Been going here for over 20 years. Reviews have little sway for this established and rooted business that is a staple of Glenview. However, there is always room for improvement. For years, Ive noticed the Diary Bar is frugal when it comes to having napkins available. Most times, I have to ask for a napkin and Im given one, just one and I dont ever see a dispenser. This last visit, my daughter and I drove home with our treats. My hot fudge Sundae dripped all over my lap and all over my car console. Napkins are a basic business expense and cost pennies and should be readily available.

When we lived in Glenview, my husband and I used to love coming to the Dairy Bar. We have lived out of Glenview for about 13 years now, and we just came back again with our kids and we all loved it! Stellar soft-serve, hasnt changed a bit, would absolutely recommend it to anyone who likes ice cream. Even those who dont like ice cream will love it!

Just okay. Cash only is annoying and the wait times are absurd for what you get. The only benefit is the large variety of toppings and the fact that you’re supporting a small business. Would go again…perhaps on a less busy day.

This place is phenomenal - but not just for the ice cream. Of course their ice cream is amazing. But its a quaint little shop that gives you a very soothing and peaceful feeling. For some reason it provides tranquility like no other small ice cream shop in the north suburbs. Its always crowded in the summer time but I never mind waiting. The people are friendly and welcoming. Their ice cream selection is also exquisite. They only take cash - no credit card. Parking is limited. Dont miss this place if you in the Glenview area.

I love local neighborhood ice cream shops! Only downside they dont serve food past a certain time and fries with soft serve is a must! Another downside was its just cash only, we were limited to what we wanted because we didnt have much cash on us. Either way it was all delicious definitely worth coming by for some ice cream!

Down home yummy ice cream stand served by mostly young polite teenage would. Ice cream pretty much all soft serve with a nice variety of toppings. Picnic tables in parking lot with ambiance of occasional train running by, and after game or sports practice kid customers.

My daughter and I stop here as much as possible after school... local favorite and just really good ice cream. My favorite... small vanilla cone with cinnamon pecan topping.

Serving Glenview ice cream since 1955, what else can I say? The place is a landmark! The style is just like Dairy Queen, the quality arguably better. Definitely worth the price. It is no surprise why this venture is so successful. Unfortunately, it has become a victim of its own success, particularly concerning lines. If the side window happens to be closed, prepare to make a run for it when they open it!

Love this place because I grew up down the block and used to put pennies on the train tracks.... I know, not safe. Wouldve given 5 stars, but it seems as though everyone in this millennium is set on the idea that a chocolate milkshake is made with chocolate ice cream, when in actuality, the correct way to make one is with milk, vanilla ice cream, and chocolate sauce. Or at least thats how it was made when I was a kid, but I digress.
