I really like that place and people. Ive used them several times and trust them with my camera and lenses. They try to extend the life of your equipment as long as possible and care about it. My camera looked like new after cleaning! The pricing is very reasonable, too.

Dropped off a Fujica ST901 camera here in June of 2020 to be repaired and never got it back. Called the owner two weeks after dropping it off and he said he would call me back because the parts were on backorder but I never received a call back. Basically had my camera taken from me and never returned.

I have had a Pentax K50 that basically hadnt worked since I bought it 5 years ago. They are known to have aperture problems and given the few pictures I was able to get out of it I really liked, I decided to try to have it fixed. Anyways, I found Camera Doc on the internet. They were very responsive and fast which is 2 things I really like when I find it in a business. They fixed my camera and mailed it back to me within a 1 1/2 week.

I am really glad to find this place. I currently have 4 cannon DSLR cameras because of my business. One of them, cannon 7D, started having a problem. All photos came out too dark even if i used a flash light. I had no idea what to do. My employees are usually using those cameras. I purchased it from Craigslist so I had no warranty. At that time, I found this place. Thanks God. Mr. Hong fixed it with a really good price and explained very details of each functions. The problem was mainboard. He was very knowledgable about a camera.I learned so much about the camera. Thank you so much

If you have a vintage rangefinder camera needing service, I would advise looking elsewhere. The tech was either unable or unwilling to adjust the rangefinder on my Mamiya Super 23, claiming they do not have an unspecified special tool. Per the service manual for this camera: it only takes a small, flat screwdriver to adjust a Mamiya Press rangefinder, I brought it to them because my own attempts to do the adjustment proved unsuccessful -- I am visually impaired. Upon inspection once receiving the camera back, the top cover appears to have never been removed to even look at it. I feel like I was shrugged-off.Also concurring with other complaints regarding difficult communication and turnaround time. I dropped my gear off on a Saturday and was told expect a callback Monday, I finally called Thursday having heard nothing. They did follow-up with a Friday callback, but only to decline the work.

I dropped off my Canon 5D Mark V for repair that my daughter dropped on carpet. They were able to repair it like new within a week. I was out of town and they were able to ship it to me! The prices were much cheaper than other places I asked around.

Update 4:They never returned my camera, I am moving on and buying a new DSLR and never going back here for service.Update 3they still have my cameraUpdate 2: They still have my cameraUpdate: The owners on called about a month ago and said he would drop off the camera. To date he has not delivered or returned my camera. He keeps calling and leaving messages but still is keeping my camera. I dont think they ever fixed it but I guess Ill never know. I brought in my White Canon Rebel SL1 DSLR camera last September for what I thought and what they told me an easy repair. Song was very nice but to date they have made many promises that they cant keep. Its been one excuse after another for 9 months. They still have my camera and for 9 months they have been telling me the main board will be soon. Bologna! Nice guy but obviously they dont know what they are doing. I gave them 9 months before I wrote this review,. I would rather just buy a new camera as opposed to going through the stress and lies from the owner. Dont go, just buy a new camera or find a reputable repair shop.

I brought my Canon EOS 600D after dropping it at the beach. I did not want to purchase a new one because I did not have the money to do so. I looked up camera repair shops, and I am glad I came here. It did take some time to repair, but it has been working great so far. I do recommend to go here.

Brought my canon rebel in with a broken viewfinder. The total was way cheaper than the online estimation I got, the guy was suuuper nice and tacked on a few free things. He had it done in two hours! I can already see a huge improvement in my camera overall. Will definitely go again and highly recommend.

This is the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a repair shop, and I own a camera rental business with more than 30 cameras and 100 lenses. Im never going back. One lens I dropped off for repair is still there, MORE THAN A YEAR after I dropped it off. I have given up, I dont think its ever coming back. A language barrier is keeping me from understanding a lot of what they are saying, except for backorder and the part where it will take another eight weeks. That will be 16 MONTHS after I dropped it off. And Im not optimistic they can hit that deadline either.A video camera I dropped off wasnt repaired, after four months of waiting for parts on backorder and multiple missed deadlines. I told them I was done waiting and decided to take it somewhere else. I scheduled a time to pick it up and when I came in, my camera was still in pieces. I told them I was coming back in 24 hours, and the camera needed to be reassembled. Despite never completing the repair, they kept my payments. The camera was missing screws and hadnt been reassembled properly. I sent it to another shop, who repaired it in less than three days. They had to charge me extra to repair the ribbon cables that were damaged by the Camera Doc when they took it apart.Im not convinced that the positive reviews here are legitimate. Their communication and follow up is terrible. I hate to be negative about a family business, but nobody else should have to go through what I did.

I handed my 1D Mark IIn in after receiving an exceptionally good quote from Song. He ordered parts quickly, got the thing fixed, and made a special effort to get the camera finished on a deadline for personal reasons. He even cleaned my lens for free in the meantime. What knocked a star off for me is the condition that the camera was returned in. Even though the problems were repaired, the sensor and focusing screen are now filthy with dust, and I dont have the tools to clean them. Luckily the tools are cheap and both components are easily accessible, but it isnt good practice to repair a camera in conditions that could leave dust on the components. Theres no reason that the sensor should have been exposed in the first place.Anyway, despite the dirt, the repaired part works better than new, and as long as Ive got all the pieces, things are looking excellent, and dust is only a minor inconvenience.

I had a wedding to attend to and my Canon EOS 70D was desperately in need of cleaning. I dropped it off on Thursday evening and needed it for a wedding on Saturday morning. The owner accommadated me by having it ready by Friday night, he even stayed opened an hour later then his normal business hour because I was stuck in traffic. Its hard to find good service nowadays.By the way, the cleaning was excellent. Not a spec of dust! I had this fingerprint mark inside the camera (not sure how I got it) but they did a great job.

Oh where to begin? I will NEVER do business here nor would I send my worst enemy here.First off, I was quoted 2-3 weeks for a fix on my Nikon D80. After 4 weeks I had to call them to ask what was happening. It wasnt until then they told me that the part I needed was on back order, and theyd call me by the end of the month. I called them with two days left in the month. When I did call they forgot who I was, they didnt have answers for me and told me theyd call me back by the end of the day. They didnt. I called again and it wasnt until I threatened to take my camera elsewhere did they magically tell me it was fixed. Then, I go in and the gentleman didnt understand why I was upset. I was upset because no one called me to tell me that my camera, which I use for work and lost business on, was going to take longer. He just kept explaining why they had to fix yet another part on my camera.I got upset, put my debit card on the counter and told him to just charge me and Im leaving. THEN HE THREW MY DEBIT CARD BACK AT ME. I kid you not.Not once did I get a true apology.

I have canon 5d mark I I and had problem with shutter. When I called in canon, they told me it will take 3 to 5 week to get it back also it will cost me $500+. But when I took it to camera doc they repair it within a week with half of price that canon asked for. I will use this store again.
