Great honest service, gas pedal and other components were replaced and free advice and inspection after Canadian Tire (Ottawa) replaced my brakes without properly bleeding them. They bleed the brake line and the difference was felt immediately on the break pedal. Safety of their clients is paramount and there was no charge for the inspection and removing the air in the brake line. Looking for peace of mind and a good garage experience you found the right garage.

Joe was so thorough and conscientious in his work. Never thought Id say such a thing, but it was a pleasure to deal with this mechanic shop. Very clear evaluation and explanations and fair pricing (never felt talked down to). Absolutely deserves 5 stars!

I’ve been here about 3 times now and I am very pleased with the service I have gotten from this place Joe changed my oil the first time I came in he also recommended I change a couple tires that were balding which I had not realized. Joe is very knowledgeable and honest he explains everything in a simple way and lets you know what he will be doing and for how much so there will be no surprises at checkout. I have been a customer of JERS Automotive for about 10 years. They are always honest, quick to take care of my auto needs and very understanding of my lack of automobile knowledge. Today was a perfect example of the great service that I always receive from them. I heard a very loud noise coming from my car on my way home from work and without having an appointment, they took the time to take a look at it and let me know what was going on with the car. Where to begin. Joe Chin and (lil) Joe,his other mechanic,maintained my vehicle for several years prior to a 2100+mile relo IN THAT VEHICLE. They even helped me pack it up before i took off. We identified issues and the Joes advised me how to handle any possible issues. Still running at 17 yrs old. Real pros,very nice people,very fair prices.

Top-notch. Before evaluating how good a car technician is, you have to know they are an excellent diagnostician. Who is happy about an excellent job for something that didnt fix the problem? He has replaced my wheel bearings, performed full brake job service and water pump replacement on my Audi A4 and was very helpful with diagnosing my vehicle when it broke down and needed to be towed in. Best automotive shop Ive been to. These guys know exactly what theyre doing - and probably should give classes to other mechanics. I had a chronic problem with my Saab 9-3 starter: battery kept draining, but erratically. Took the car repeatedly to specialists, including dealer, and all they kept doing was replacing the battery. After a lot of frustration, took the car to JERS and they started off brilliantly trying differential diagnosis. They explained everything to me breaking down what they were doing without any disdain for my lack of knowledge. Their specialist limitations - who anymore is fitted out for servicing a SAAB? - kept them from actually repairing, but they pinpointed exactly what needed to be done so I could tell the dealer exactly what to do. Problem solved. These guys are so knowledgeable, so friendly and their prices for repair are absolutely reasonable. Id like to keep them a secret, but they deserve all the success they can manage. Just stellar. I only wish Id written this review sooner.

I was very skeptical of this place at first since all they got were 5 -stars reviews and there were only about 10 of them. I stopped by to see if they can replace by accessories belt since it was broken. Joe told me that it would be a couple weeks. He said that if I can find anyone else to do it sooner, go ahead but hell pencil me in for an appointment anyway (about 2 weeks away). I do have another car so I decided to wait. I came in for my appointment and walk home. Couple hours later, Joe called and said its not the belt, its the tensioner pulley that has seized up which caused the belt to snap. The power-steering belt is fine and does not need to be replaced. He offered for me to stopped by to take a look so I did. Anyway, they fixed it as promised and we are happy. It was a small job but the fact that they didnt invent any other issues like most mechanics normally do (maybe unfair to all mechanics, but at least some of the ones Ive dealt with do that). Long story short, I would DEFINITELY bring my car here for repairs. Im somewhat knowledgeable with cars so I felt that this was one of the more honest places around and prices they charged are FAIR. Turns out my wife also had her car done here last year and she also had a great experience.

Its harder than it should be to find a mechanic you can trust but these guys are great.

Dealer was going to charge me $3,000, to fix both axles on my car, which they said was not drivable, without repairs. Came here, and the mechanic hoisted my car up and actually showed me the issue and said it only needed $165 in repairs. Took car in the next day. They fixed it in an hour and now the car runs great. These are extremely competent, friendly and honest mechanics.

I will always come back to JERS Auto! After an absolutely terrible experience at another company. I had my car towed to JERS because I just could not believe that my car needed $2000 work or work. I brought my car to Joe on a Saturday afternoon. He explained to me that he probably wouldnt get to it until Monday which was completely understandable since it was the weekend and they were closing in like an hour. Several hours later I get a call from JERS and its Joe telling me he took apart my car and he just wanted me to know that the repair would only be around $500. He could tell when I came in that I did not have a ton of money to fix my beat up car and he said he did not want me to worry about the cost being so high. So he stayed after on his day off just so I could have peace of mind. He also told me that the other place I had taken it to down the road did not even take apart my car to figure out what the problem was and he knew that because my break had rusted and if they took it apart they would not have been able to put it back together. Everyone at JERS was beyond kind and just really great people you can trust. I will definitely be back!

This is a family owned repair shop that you wish was in every town in America. Both Joe and his right hand guy, also named Joe, are super honest and smart. Its always a wonderful experience at JERS. They frequently save the broken parts just to show me when I pick up, and thats not even required. I only use them for both of our cars.
