Recently a friend and I took a texture chalk paint workshop with Michele, the owner of Knot Too Shabby. Not only did we learn several useful techniques but we also had a lot of fun! Michele is a wonderful teacher, and has a great sense of humor too, making for a lovely time in class. The shop is adorable with many gorgeous furniture pieces, hand painted and transformed with chalk and milk paint. Tucked in among the furniture pieces are hand-made crafts created by talented artisans. Browsing the shop is interesting, with many eclectic items for sale, all the supplies you need for your own painted projects, and a great place to find a gift! There is also a street fair the first Saturday of the month in front of the shop which we browsed and found some enthusiastic and friendly artisans with unique items for sale. Knot Too Shabby is an enjoyable place to spend some time to find inspiration and supplies to do one of your own projects or to purchase something completed to just take home and enjoy!
I have been purchasing Annie Sloan paint and supplies from Michele at Knot too Shabby and she has been so helpful with all my questions, helping me make decisions about which color to buy etc...AS chalk paint and accessories are not inexpensive but worth it because of the quality. A good paint brush can last a lifetime if taken care of properly and the results are amazing. Thank you Michele for having a local shop that gives great customer service!
I recently proposed to my girlfriend and I wanted to present her the ring in a unique box that was special to her. Not just the standard box from the jewelry store. I had no idea what I was going to do until I happened upon Knot Too Shabby. I was looking all over for a box everywhere until a sales associate suggested that they could paint a box for me. So I found a wood box and I brought Michelle, at Knot Too Shabby my then girlfriend’s favorite colors and she created a beautiful box that I could give my now finance, which she will hopefully keep forever. In addition to making the box beautiful, she worked quickly for me because I was under a time crunch. She understood the importance of what I was trying to do. I have full confidence that they can make any piece you may have unique to you. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to do similar projects.
I have been shopping at Knot Too Shabby for years and I always find great decorating items and ideas. I have talked with the owner several times and she is very kind, friendly and helpful. This store is in the heart of town and I love supporting their efforts in the community.
Always have a great time with Michelles classes! She is extremely talented and creative and I have learned so much from her, including many budget-friendly ways to go about it. And shes sweet to boot! Im excited about putting some of these new learned techniques to use on my newly inspired projects.
I took the holiday and The Big Paint workshops the past months. Both events were virtual, kits were provided and shipped. Both events were really fun and a great way to get into chalk painting without destroying your actual furniture. Michele is a great instructor, she answered all questions during the classes and made them as interactive as can be given the circumstances. I for one actually enjoy the virtual concept as I don’t have to hit the LA traffic.I am still tip toeing in the chalk paint world (or paint world for that matter) and feel I should practice a bit more before getting on bigger projects and will definitely get my supplies and quite possibly an in-person workshop at KTS!
As a newbee I was welcomed into the store. Michele and her staff guided me through all aspects of painting. The prices are great and so was the service. I will return back to this store over and over. Thank you Knot Too Shabby!!!
Love this cute little place! I can’t swing by as often as I like but always find lovely staff and merchandise. Thank you!
Super cute store with an owner that is very knowledgeable and willing to give pointers on all your painting projects. Products are top quality and there are also some fantastic (and fun) workshops you can sign up for!
My sisters and I love this place! Please check it out when you can, you wont be sorry. :)
Such a great little store always very friendly and helpful!
Cute place, expensive, but this is high quality product. Definitely recommend getting your chalk paint from here. They have a lot of colors and offer all the supplies you need. They also sell furniture, if interested
Cute store, very talented owner. :)
What a great place, helpful, friendly, and very creative!
The staff at this store are all kind, attentive and informative. Michelle, the owner, is always generous with her time and advice. She is completely supportive of us new entrepreneurs; I have taken her Paint for Profit class in which she provided a wealth of information. I have an Annie Sloan paint shop within 5 miles of my home but always go out of my way to shop at Knot to Shabby because I know Ill always walk away with another tip or two.
I had a great time at a knot too shabby furniture painting party. Michelle and Jamie were the right amount of fun and educational. I love the way my stool turned out! Cute things in the shop too!
Imagine being 7 years old and walking into a toy shop. This is what its like for me to walk into this shop. I have not tried the classes yet. But Ive bought the Annie Sloan chalk paint, milk paint, hemp oil, brushes and other misc things. Staff and the owner are always willing to help and answer questions. If you love having a paint brush in your hands or your looking for inspiration for your next project, you must shop here.
I cant say enough good things about Knot Too Shabby! No matter who is holding down the fort, youre always greeted with a smile and made to feel welcomed and comfortable. As well, everyone Ive chatted with seems to be quite knowledgeable and helpful. I love their loyalty rewards program! Its always a welcomed surprise when I fill my card up and get to pick a free sample size of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. The program has allowed me to step outside my box and try new colors that I may otherwise never have experienced.
Ever since I discovered Annie Sloan chalk paint I’ve been shopping at Knot Too Shabby located in Glendora. I received a gift certificate for Christmas 2018 and I decided to sign up for the ‘Waxing Workshop’ and it was phenomenal! Owner Michelle (who is very knowledgeable, friendly and generously shares her expertise), teaches tips, techniques and answered all my questions about waxing. Whether you are new to AS chalk paints or a seasoned painter, this class is a must!

Super cute store in Downtown Glendora with an amazing and extremely helpful staff! Theyll walk you through all you need to know about tackling your first Annie Sloan Paint project and offer great workshops.
I spoke with Michele, the shop owner, and she answered all my questions regarding Annie Sloans chalk paint. I will register for a class in August.
Love thier style! Did a furniture paint party and loved it!
Came here for their Chalk Paint which we used to pain an old bookcase that we didnt want to strip the lacquer off. Wax is expensive but the end product is great and well worth it.
Best paint store in the San Gabriel Valley--Its like Pinterest come to life!
Very lovely place
Rude. Dont waste your time, find a place that treats its customers right. Especially avoid the old lady
Great!
