This has been the only dry cleaners Ive ever used, but after my most recent experience never again. I dropped off 2 dresses, a blouse, tablecloth and napkins in February. I think its worth noting that the tablecloth and napkins had no care instructions on them (which is part of why I took them to the cleaners). When I dropped off, I could tell that the woman working there was on a personal phone call. It was a quick interaction, she looked me up, printed out my tickets and I was on my way. Admittedly, I forgot about the dry cleaning for a couple months until l found the ticket in my car. I never got a call stating it was ready, and maybe thats normal. Upon pick up I was told that the table cloth and napkins would be almost $100. When I asked why it was so high, I was told because it was custom. I replied that I never asked for anything custom, nor was I given options for different cleanings. The woman then got what appeared to be a surprised look on her face, and then stated that next time to tell them you want it done in house Im sorry, but if there are multiple options you as the business should make that known to the customer. Additionally, why on earth would you immediately go to THE most expensive option if nothing was requested by the customer? She then made a joke about using plastic next time, which in looking back was in rather poor taste. At the end of the day, if something was sent out, I understand that the third party has to be reimbursed for their service. However, if you as a business are made aware that it wasnt something that was requested, and theres clearly some sort of mix up here, you as a business should make an attempt to make it right rather than making jokes.
Great service with a fast turnaround time and low price. Will be a repeat customer for sure.
Got a very simple order wrong club bowel with French dressing I got Italian awful
I don’t know how they do what they do, but they can remove stains like it’s magic. They’ve saved some of my favorite outfits! Super quick, same day service, with the option for pick up and delivery. Two thumbs up for sure!
I have been using Whitefish Bay Cleaners for about ten years and I do business with them every week. The quality has been excellent and delivery is prompt and unfailing. After ten years of weekly delivery, that is 520 transactions without a single reason to complain. That is hard to find!
I visited from out of town a few weeks ago for a wedding. I didnt realize I had a stain in my dress. I brought it in, and they were able to get the stain out within a day. It was great service and I was very pleased with the way they handled my dress! I will definitely go back whenever Im in the area!
I had my wedding dress cleaned there. I got married in July 2015. I just opened my dress up for the first time to check it out and put it on for fun as I hadnt seen it in awhile. The bottom of my dress and my ribbon still have the same amount of black marks as they did when I dropped it off. To top it off they must have been very rough with my dress. A button inside that is meant to attach to straps was missing. I had also attached a fishing weight that I had kept for twenty years since I was a very little girl inside. It was one of the only things I had from my grandfather. The blue stitching was still there, but that little weight was missing. I had stitched it in between the dress tie straps and the flap that goes on the brides back and even used a pliers to ensure it was attached tightly- and the area it was in, it was tucked in pretty well because its a natural folded in area of the dress. I am extremely distraught at the lack of care of my dress and I would not recommend them to anyone getting anything special cleaned.
This is some of the worst customer service I have ever had. I dropped off my wedding dress to be cleaned and preserved and they estimated it to be back in early October. They said they would call when it could be viewed before it was boxed up. I called them a week after it was supposed to be due back to me, completely finished, and it wasnt even cleaned yet. It then got cleaned but then it took them THREE MORE MONTHS to put it in a box to preserve it. I had to call them multiple times for updates because they didnt have the decency to tell me it would be late. They claimed they were busy. I finally got it back after having to stop in there myself. I asked for a discount because it was so late and for all the effort I had to put in for their lack of customer service, and the best they could do was 10%. Theres even a 20% off coupon on their website that they wouldnt honor. Dont waste your time or your money here. Ill never be going back.
I have been a Whitefish Bay Cleaners customer for over 20 years. I have the utmost respect for Charlie (The Owner) and his staff. I have had very few issues with any of their work & when I did it was rectified in a very quick and positive manner. Whitefish Bay has been in business for 80 years, that does not happen by accident.Tom L.
Great friendly staff, fast service, and good quality. They know you by name, and are welcoming every time
As a first-time customer, I recently took several expensive clothing items to the Whitefish Bay Cleaners, and was promised next-day service by the owner, Charlie. When I picked up the items the next day, one of the dresses ($600+ value) had visible stains and an ink mark. When I pointed this out to Charlie, he told me that the items were not thoroughly cleaned because I requested next-day service. I explained that I did not wish to sacrifice quality for time, and he agreed to clean it again. Another dress ($400 value, worn only once) was completely destroyed. The black peplum on the dress was completely faded. I pointed this out to Charlie, and he admitted that the dress was not brought to him in that condition, and that he was not sure what had happened. When asked how he planned to resolve the issue, he became angry and argumentative. He told me that I needed to take the issue up with the manufacturer. Charlie was very rude and disrespectful. I could not believe that he would treat a paying patron in this manner. Needless to say, Charlie refused to take responsibility for ruining my dress, so I had to take him to court. The trial is set for October. Be weary of taking valuable items, or any items, to this establishment as Charlie will not take responsibility for his poor cleaning services.
Friendly staff. They do decent work.
Im sure dry cleaning is bad for the environment, just like the clothes we wear, who invented clothes?!
