Great buy on bulk pork today.99 a pound. Spent $22.00 and got about $50.00 worth of excellent tasting pork chops, loin, and chop racks. Very happy with that purchase. Green grapes at .99 lb. very tasty.

Way too many people inside without masks. Even someone in scrubs and the cookie baker taking cookies out of the oven.

AVOID. They do not pull expired food from the shelves & the manager blames the customer for not “checking the date” once called about a moldy cheesecake they had on the shelf that was purchased. Absolutely disgusting. Avoid unless you want to eat mold & get food poisoning.

Best fish in town. Their fish guy knows what he’s doing. Which is buying fish.

I went to Jewel for water and some hard seltzer. When I got to the register the young man wasnt old enough to process my order and had to get someone else, which took some time. They need older checkers or other available help.

Generally very nice staff. The woman doing personal shopping is not. She has blinders on when it comes to customers in the store. She blocks aisles and doesnt seem to care if she is in the way. When this is pointed out to her, because none of the customers can get through,she says we are rude. We will be going elsewhere.

Great deals on fresh meat! Check in here once a week for sales. Their thick cut Choice T-bones are excellent. Ive purchased them before, and they broil up to perfection. Between the steaks a sale on chicken thighs @ .99/pound, I actually saved as much as I spent!

It was fine. Im from out of town, so it took me a bit to find things. Good selection.

Was just buying a vitamin. Store was busy but a worker helped me at checkout and she was wonderful.

Been shopping Jewel for years, but this location is not one of my favorites. I use the app when shopping and often find that they dont stock items that have coupons or special pricing in the app. Im always disappointed when using the deli. Very slow and some of the employees just look sloppy.

One cash register and zero self service registers open at 7am. I had enough time to write this review while in line. Im currently standing halfway into the soft drink aisle. They have a pretty good sale on Rockstar energy drinks. I mean i dont drink them, but Im sure someone reading this does. Get them while theyre still in stock!

I used to never shop at Jewel (for some reason) but they always have crazy-cheap markdowns and really good deals. If you catch them at the right time you can save 50% on your groceries.

Ive gone to 3 different Jewels looking for Aunt Millies Honey Butter WHITE Bread!. You have the label on the shelf but no bread! How come?

No problem with finding the things I needed. Problem with multiple employees not wearing masks or not wearing them appropriately. Employee had her mask down around her neck and was coughing repeatedly in the deli area. Come on “wear the mask and wear it appropriately”. No real social distancing observed in the store either.

I found a beautiful bouquet of flowers for my daughter and the lady in the florist section was really nice. The price of the flowers wasnt too bad, either.

The bagger took almost 5 minutes to bag my groceries. He was hesitating as to what goes in a bag. He was looking around. If he is new I understand. The cashier had to help bag my groceries.

Always go here to grab some snacks, the pricing on them isnt half bad.

Decent store. Staff is cool and they have a good selection of products as usual. On one occasion when I went to the produce section they had every fruit available, even some Ive never seen before! Yet, they didnt have peaches and plums which is what I was looking for and I figured every grocery store should have that, so shame on them for that. Also, I actually feel quite safe shopping here as opposed to the other locations in the city but I still run into quite a few wierdos in that area for some reason so Im a bit more cautious. Other than that, its a decent place to shop.

Dont have much here. I needed one item, in stock, made purchase and left. Success.

Good grocery selection and great weekly sales. I like their long open hours. Easy to get in and out from the street. Their bakery has great fresh breads. One down side is that they have removed self- checkout registers and now check out lines are on the longer side. Regular priced items can be expensive

I love my local Jewel! Even though some items are overpriced, as a value shopper I usually find awesome deals here.

Standard Jewel. Decent produce area. Salad bar underwhelms but Jewel hot wings are the bomb. Usually good service. Dairy aisle is lackluster, deli is solid. Bakery is mixed. Pharmacy is nothing special. Good beer selection.

Customer service is great there in Glen Ellyn been long time customer/resident over 48 years I just needed a new iPass. In and out no time.

I usually never go to Jewel. However I did today. I now remember why I do not shop there.Dreadful experience and the prices are outrageous .

I was excited to celebrate my birthday so I picked up some drinks, salsa, chips and a pizza. Their register did not properly discount the salsa. When I told the cashier, she pushed back twice before finally calling to price adjust. (Was she actually surprised since this has happened to me many times before?) After the price was adjusted, she forgot to hand it back to the bagger to put it in the bag. On what was going to be a relaxing evening, I had to spend extra time driving back to grab the salsa, making me late for my movie. When I told the Jewel manager Megan she excused the incident by saying, “the bagger is new.” I said, “but the cashier is the one who had the bagger hand it to her.” Without responding to me or saying sorry, she said I could go get a different one off the shelf “free of charge.” What!? I already paid for it; they forgot to put it in the bag! Who wants to have tortilla chips without some kind of salsa!! I would give it one star if it was only regarding the customer service (for the cashier and manager; the bagger was fine) but their product line, inventory and bakery are all par or above. I’ll come back but I hate having to constantly check your work. That’s your job Jewel.

So we bought a couple of there Pre-Made healthy alternative meals at the deli.Turns out that the lemon chicken spaghetti dinner that we purchased HAD RAW pieces of chicken in with the meal. This was especially unfortunate since I didnt notice until halfway through. I immediately contacted the store manager which was completely unapologetic. After the conversation with the manager we felt that he did not treat it serious at all and at that point I called back for a refund. I was transferred to one guy who was acting like he couldnt here me and then hung up. Called back and they said they took the chicken down and someone would get back to me and 3 days later no one ever did. Now the weekend arrives I call up with hopes to bridge the gap and get my money back for the poison they just sold me as a meal. Now on the phone comes a little fella named Toney with a Napoleon complex and apparently takes way too much HGH and testosterone. He intermediately is combative with me and quickly takes things way further than they needed to be and hangs up after yelling and arguing with me. At this point my partner goes into the store for the refund and While talking with another manager Tony comes storming up all Puffed up gets into my partners face (Check the tape) says to the other manager; Dont give him his five dollars back, he talked to me mean on the phone (At this point patrons are stopping their shopping and are witness to this hostility) although Tony was fighting with us and provoked it and then hung up. After we calmly responded to his threatening behavior You mean you sell us raw chicken and are not even going to give the money back? The other managers must have realized that it is not OK to sell RAW chicken in a cooked meal to your customers then get in their face in attempts to fight them and refuse refund. EVENTUALLY we got out $5. back after 4 days of run around and 3 managers that are in dyer need of De-escalation, sensitivity training and while we are at it HEALTH CODE TRAINING (Especially Tony the tiger) .

The staff are mostly very kind. There is one bag boy who is rude and will not take out-of-state licenses, but I have a feeling there’s a reason he acts in such a way. Good selection of products, the deli staff are nice, and I can find decent parking without much hassle.

I like you there prices are very Fair I like the meat and seafood we buy there if something is bad theyll refund your money no questions asked . The Brands they carry are good and there wine selection is better than the liquor store by my house. I tried the delivery service for first time and everything was great and on time . So lots of options I ordered groceries for my mom and they delivered them to her house saving me lots of time. Ive shopped Jewel for 50 years theyve been local and in my neighborhood wherever I move to😀

I went shopping here yesterday. Susan Agyrou was very helpful; I was impressed with her positive attitude. The produce and bakery sections have added new products. There is a good coffee selection but I miss the free coffee samples.

Not a review of food or prices..but rather with new social distancing protocols...management and staff seem to believe in the 6 INCH (not 6 foot rule)..staff and especially managers quickly brushing up against me while Im in aisles. Bakery staff with facial masks hanging off their necks on to their chest while talking to customers....

The manager here was cheerful and had a can-do attitude. I do find this store generally crowded and kind of tight in the aisles, but I guess that is the trade-off with such a lot of choices and inventory. Those stocking the shelves know where items are by aisle number and accurately direct me to items I cant find. Can buy Glen Ellyn garbage stickers here and ipass.
