My husband and I are vegan and we had such a great experience. Our server Vaughan was extremely attentive and both he and the hostess were friendly. This restaurant has 4 dedicated vegan options plus sides and they have a ton of vegetarian choices. We enjoyed the mango mimosas and garlic spinach as starters. For mains we had the tempeh mac and cheese as well as the meatless taco bowl. Both were just enough to not overwhelm our late night dinner. Two thumbs up! 👍🏽 👍🏽
I loved the atmosphere of this restaurant. The staff were very helpful and nice. They have a huge expansive menu to choose from. We arrived before noon and chose breakfast. The food was good, but not extraordinary and certainly not for the price. The best part were the home fries. The gravy was lukewarm at best. We were under the impression the corned beef wouldnt be from a can. We also ordered a side of sausage but the cook came and told us it would be a 20 minute wait so we got bacon instead which didnt come until after we were done. I do not think the prices reflect the quality of the food, no matter how locally sourced or organic it is.
We had a party of 3. Our food and service was great. Wife had the bacon blue burger, I got the grilled fish tacos, our friend got the eggs Benedict. Everything was great! Id definitely recommend stopping here for a great meal. They also offer vegan options, as well.
As always a wonderful place to stop for a brunch, breakfast or even a dinner along your path of travel. The service was excellent the food delicious and the Bloody Marys left you wanting more, all for a great price of less than $50 for two. Recommended as you pass your way through Richmond VA. ~V. 🇺🇸
The food looks good and reads good on the menu. With the exception of breakfast, garlic on every dish. The soup was nice and hot, but taste like can soup. My other dish was warm, should have been hot. The music was too loud (turn it down already). The floor needs constant sweeping. The rim of the table needs cleaning to prevent your fingers from touching the sticky stuff. The The waitress was nice, well groomed. She saved the day.
Love the Silver Diner. Good food. But very long lines at the best times.
Food is really good here. Get the chocolate decadence! Staff was very kind and informative.
The food and ambience was great. The waitress was very courteous and complimentary. The juke box took me back to my days of old🤣. Great scenery. Highly Recommended Silver Diner My Kitties 😸 👌
Love the atmosphere. Friendly service. Bleu bacon burger was good, a little overcooked.
Stumbled upon this place enroute to another restaurant. Looked inviting so we changed our plans & went here instead. We were so impressed all around. Our first visit was after Covid hit & the upgrades they clearly have done to provide an overall safe & sanitized environment, was amazing. Tables are properly social distanced & there is a beautiful option for outside dining, complete with white tent & soft lights.I was expecting typical diner fare however, was shocked at the options & quality of food. Were talking about meeting any dietary issues you may have, kind of options & the variety... well, you will just have to see for yourself because it cant be fully described into words. The service was super fast & friendly & the chef (notice I said chef, not cook) made the most delicious, mouth watering food. The presentation looked like it came from a culinary magazine.Since our initial visit. We have gone 3 times. You should do yourself a favor & go here, you wont regret it!
We spent some time looking for a place to eat in Short pump and decided on silver diner as we had had a good experience at some of their other locations. The service and the food was exceptional. My wife really enjoyed her hamburger and my liver and onions was perfection. This will be our go-to place when we are in short pump
This Diner has an absolutely wonderful atmosphere! And the menu has something for everyone. The meatless taco bowl was excellent and so was the lemon chicken my husband had. Our server, Alessandra was very attentive and made our time there even more pleasant. We will be back for breakfast next!
Food was good. Service was great. Ambiance was good too. The beyond meat tacos tasted more like BBQ tacos, which was weird to me, than a SW flavor profile, but it was still good.
Excellent! There were 4 of us and we each had something different: brioche sandwich and crab soup, really enjoyed by our son, our daughter in law had a watermelon shrimp salad, huge and very good, my husband had liver and onions with potatoes and veggies, he loved it. I had ham and turkey club with sides, I could only eat half, boxed to go.Service was very good, everything was cooked fresh and served by chefExcellent selections for every palette, vegetarian and flexegetarin. Will definitely go again and again!!
My mom came in from out of town and I had heard good reviews about this restaurant so I decided to take her here. One of the best dining experiences we had all week. Our waiter, Ricky, was super helpful and awesome. He took a little extra time to make sure our food and drinks were absolutely perfect and he was super friendly. The atmosphere was awesome and we didn’t have to wait long, even with the waiting list. Definitely will be coming here again!
It was a really nice place. Food was great but it was a bit overpriced. Otherwise pleasant experience, theres a jukebox selector thing at every table and I believe you just put in some coins and choose your song and it will play when it comes up. The staff is very nice and helpful.
First time there. Food was just okay. Our server was nice but did forget a drink order. During dinner, had a party of 12 seated almost on top of us. Too close and the kids were loud and rambunctious. Glad when it was time to go. Probably wont go back.
Large variety of menu items. Love the old style chocolate shake. Friendly staff.
We tried this place since it was near our hotel and had vegan options. Real vegan options, not just a hummus plate. Awesome food! Staff was friendly, kind, and helpful. We had beefless taco bowls and sweet potato fries. The diner itself is clean and they had air purifiers on. Great decore. Everything was amazing. The only negative, we wont be in town long to enjoy more of their offerings. If you are near here, stop in and get some good food.
Best grits Ive had in a long time. Nice selection on the menu. Staff was attentive. Nice clean environment.
My wife and I stopped in for the first time while traveling through Richmond. The first thing we noticed was the parking spaces were narrow and finding a place to park our F150 was difficult. After we found a spot and came in, we read a sign outside the door stating if the wait line didnt extend out the door its typically less than a 10 minute wait. While the person in front of us was checking in, he ended up having to type his name into the computer because the person working couldnt understand English very well and could not figure out how to spell Leon, even after the guy clearly spelled it out 3 times. When he finally got to us it took it took a couple minutes to get our name on the list because I had to give him my phone number several times before he could get it typed in correctly. Then we were told it would be 15-20 minutes even though we could see a minimum 5 tables open and cleared, ready to go. About 2-3 minute later we got a text message that our table was ready and we were seated. Our waitress was awesome. She was very friendly, super busy, and hustling the entire time being sure to check on us constantly. I ordered a tuna melt and was not very impressed. The bread was grilled/toasted very hard and the tuna salad had been grilled and had some burnt parts mixed together and put on the bread. I think it was made that way intentionally but I didnt enjoy it however others may think thats a good thing. The fries are served in what appears to be an overflowing cup however, the paper liner is actually cone shaped and significantly reduces the amount of fries you actually get. I would have been ok with everything if it were priced accordingly however our total lunch bill came to ~$37 with tax and tip for a tuna melt and a chicken & waffles. No drinks or anything else. Thats way too many monies for what we received. I would say $25 would have been a fair price in my opinion.
Great breakfast! Coffee and food were hot and delicious, and service was some of the best. Eating area was extremely clean!
Better than a diner!!! The staff was very friendly and food is local, delicious, with lots of options. Love the pancakes! Simple diner fare (fries are great with the shakes) but you can also enjoy avocado toast, eggs benedict with crab, or a bison burger. Vegetarian and gluten free available as well. Recommend!
Yeah I have been meaning to do this? Came with my daughter, the facility and server were really nice too (hence 2stars) bad the food sucked, pancakes looked better than they tasted. Dry pancakes, eggs were dry and hard I asked for soft scrambled. I don’t get to much time with my daughter I hate it was a Terrible meal. Wanted to support local but I guess we’ll get our pancakes from Cracker Barrel from now on.
Had a nice experience with my waitress.I felt so bad for her when the older couple placed near us yelled at her for asking if they were ready to order, and then asked her if she took a bite of their food from their plates when the bun wasn’t perfect. How incredibly rude!I never got your name but I’m so sorry they treated you like that, shame on them. I thought you did great.
One great dinner! Try the meatloaf, youll not regret it! Sarah did a great job serving my family.
The food is tasty, the atmosphere is very retro if youre into that, and the wait staff is friendly. Be prepared to be on a wait list as this has a popular flow of customers.
Well its not a diner. It has the looks and feel of a diner. But to be a diner it should have diner food. Which it does not. More of a fancy restaurant menu. What self respectful diner does not have chicken fried steak. The food I had was good. Kinda pricey especially for a diner. And not diner fare.
This is a great diner to take the family. There is a wide selection of Food and the portions are generous. The diner has lots of parking available and the seating harks back to the 50-60s complete with a jukebox. The staff is friendly and professional and check on you without being intrusive. Service is quick and the food delicious.
Outstanding place with incredible variety. Mat the waiter was very attentive and helpful with our younger diners. The manager who has been there ten years and is a caring professional. Treats the diner likes he owns it. So sorry I forgot his name. Grandson loves this place. Have the kids join the club. Highly recommend!
Not the silver diner you may remember from the past. They have gone all fancy with the menu. All organic, all natutal. Great for those who are into eating healthy and prefer goat cheese. Sometimes you just crave a big greasy burger and pile of fries. Youre not gonna get it here.
There are not enough words in the dictionary to describe how amazing this place is. Ben the server is a milkshake master and can sling a shake like a boss. He was so attentive and super friendly. Id recommend him to anyone. When I tell you that I’d trust my own children with him, I mean it. Love that guy.
Outstanding customer service. Food made with many local products.
Really sweet staff and an impressive plant based menu!
A diner with Healthy based food in mind. Still get your monies worth like a typical diner but you dont have to feel guilty about it afterwards. They also have vegetarian and vegan options.
Three stars is a stretch but the staff was amazing. The food though... you can not say you are a diner with a 50s to 60s style theme and serve all natural, organic, tasteless food. When I think of a diner in that era Im looking for wholesome, home cooked recipes, grease, flavor, seasoning. Not Ol Bay on everything, no salt, dry, marginal at best healthy for you food. So if you are looking for a diner... go else where. If you are a healthy eater looking to eat somewhere that people wont shame you for it then this place is the perfect wolf in sheeps clothing for you. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!
Surprisingly amazing!!! Very clean place and outstanding menu. I thought it would be an average diner but they definitely showed out. Pancakes and turkey bacon was on point. The eggs were very fresh. They arent afraid to accommodate you. Good non-alcoholic drink menu and good shakes.
Had such a pleasant time here. Food was fabulous. We had the pleasure of having Von serving us. Such spectacular service. Thank you for being so prompt, taking care of my special order, and treating us so special.
Excellent customer service, quality food, and good portions. Just love the BIG coffee mugs.
A great place for vegetarian/vegan options. Food and service were good.
Stopped in for lunch! Even though they are short staffed, management stepped in to help the waitress. Love seeing the team work. Food was hot and delicious...will be back!
Pretty okay food. Id stop over here if I had a place to go to and this was on the way. But not drive out of the way to get here. Okay food.
Good food, great staff
The food was good but a bit pricey for what it was. This location needs a remodel (updated). It didnt seem dirty it appeared worn. The staff was pleasant. Overall I will probably go back, especially for the food other places dont do right.Way to go to the Team in store.Home office please give them an update.
An absolute joke of an experience. Let me start out by saying that the food was ok to decent. But the waitress was absolutely horrible. My girlfriend has an extreme allergy to chick peas. We checked with the waitress three times to make sure her food did not have any chick peas in it. The first time we checked she told us that dish did indeed have chick peas in it. The next one we didn’t see it listed on but we asked to make sure, since we are out of town and her epipen is at the hotel. She says she will go check, never comes back for 5 minutes. As we are placing are orders we ask again if the dish has chick peas in it. She tell us “oh I forgot to tell you it does not” so she orders the dish. About 5 minutes after eating the food her face starts to turn bright red and she starts to struggle to breath. She is having a massive allergic reaction to the chick peas in her dish that we were told did not have any. Can’t believe that any restaurant could operate like this, horrible experience. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
My husband did not like this place he did not like his food but I like the food the Benedicts were so good and even my granddaughter tried it and liked it.
I stopped at this restaurant tonight and I ate dinner.Despite the fact that they were really busy I was able to get seated pretty quick, due to it only being one in my party which was myself. Once being seated I set at my table anywhere from 7 to 10 minutes and no one came to the table, which made me a little frustrated. I stopped the manager on duty and told him about me not getting service and he immediately took my drink order. Shortly after that a female waitress came over to take my order and immediately after that a male waiter came over and ask me did I need anything. It took about 25 minutes for me to get my food, I ordered breakfast. No one came over to check on me while I was eating, To the point where I had to go up to the front and ask the manager if I could have extra syrup. When I got up there I told the manager that my 1st experience in this restaurant had been horrible, He immediately apologized to me and tell me that the server did not intend to ignore me, but due to it being really busy he failed to check on me and he also offered to take care of my meal. I really had a bad taste in my mouth after the service was given, until the training manager Andrea come in politely took my plate and talked to me for several minutes about what had transpired. All I can say, is this review started out as a one star and turned into 5 stars because of her professionalism and dedication to being a top notch manager. Last but not least the food was amazing and the service was horrible but the training manager was personable, understanding, very apologetic about my service and she promised to right the wrong by mentioning and coaching the male waiter on his poor customer service. I left the restaurant with a smile on my face and I will come back to this restaurant.
We thought our friends were in for a real treat when they agreed to meet us at Silver Diner in Innsbrook. They had never eaten there and had expectations for a great experience. It was not! Our server was aloof and inattentive, our entrees were lacking in substance or were burned, and our desserts were so bad we sent them back to be remade. Their prices have also increased significantly and now provide little to no value for the money spent. Our friends were disappointed and we were beyond disappointed, we were thoroughly embarrassed at having suggested this restaurant. This used to be a decent place to entertain family and friends but has been going downhill for some time now. Our experience there yesterday will be our last. There is no need to waste our time and money there when there are better places to enjoy a reasonably priced meal!
I love this place. Have been here multiple times with friends and family, and will definitely visit again. Food is great in terms of taste, portion size and quality. So far, I have had the salmon sliders, lemon chicken piccata, very berry yogurt smoothie, chicken pot pie, clam chowder and beers. Enjoyed them all. Service is good. Definitely recommend.
I consider myself a breakfast connoisseur of sorts and today my palate was met by a good hearty breakfast. I had the Belgian waffle scrambled eggs and cheese with turkey bacon. The waffle was perfectly executed the batter was light and fluffy crisp on the outside soft on the inside and the syrup made the waffle sweet. I like a waffle batter that isnt overly sweetened. I asked my eggs scrambled hard and they were perfectly executed. I dying with another adult and two children and we loved our food. I will definitely return and I recommend this place to anyone looking for a good breakfast
Always great. Good selection of food and fast seating. Drinks were kept full. The home fries are the best side. I prefer them to the French Fries.
I had the dinner that had three medium pieces of steak and spinach that was delicious. I didnt care for the sauce that came with the meal. The milkshake was delicious too. Id go again.
Not only was the food and drinks well worth the time to visit this place but the old fashion at your table juke box with old time upbeat music made it like the icing on the cake. It was the most enjoyable time my wife and I have had in awhile. Made a perfect date night. Also a great place to bring your kids.
I like their being open late in the nights, a savior during late parties where you end up with no food. I loved their toast filled with banana- the taste and smell are just amazing. The mimosas are good too, tried the mango mimosa. The shakes come in huge quantities and they give you the extra mixture in a separate cup used for mixing the shake- extra is always good. The omelette are good too. Pancakes could’ve been much better and variations should’ve been included in the menu. The waiters are very patient. I enjoy the music boxes in this place, gives you a vintage nostalgic vibe you see in the movies. I recommend this place.
I did not enjoy the food. It used to be one of my favorite places to get a good hamburger. I was very disappointed. 2 stars because the wait staff was grest
I loved all the different varieties of vegetables they offer in their recipes. Yum!Im not vegetarian, love meat, but was so curious about all the meatless entrees offered that i ordered a Cauliflower Sandwich:Flash fried, cinnamon chipotle spiced, feta, roasted red pepper, arugula, tahini harissa yogurt, pesto, burger bun, sweet potato friess and coleslaw. It was amazing! It was even great the following day as leftovers! I just wish Silver Diner had locations closer to me...
So if you are vegan or vegetarian and any other diet restrictions..this is the place to be. The taste of the food is great as well. Then question is why 3 star ??? Reason is Long line and long wait time for this place. Sometimes it take 3 hrs +, from start to finish and imagine that with hungry Kids. So, they need to optimize their operations and at the same time innovate on how to reduce wait time & rating goes up.
Breakfast/Brunch is always great and service staff is attentive and friendly!
We went at 2pm for lunch which was pretty slow but still needed to wait a long time for a hostess to show up and seat us. The waitress was extra friendly and came out pretty quickly to take the order. It was a good atmosphere and had things for the kids to do while we waited. The jukebox at the small table was a nice touch. The menu items were a bit pricey but expected. This is not the ordinary diner it is more specialty. The food was very good and had a good representation. Id go back again and can confidently recommend this place if youre in the area.
A little pricey, but the food and service are good. Pretty big menu with a lot of different options. Definitely worth a try
Excellent customer service.... Good food...A variety of food choices....A full bar (liquor)....The bar surprised me!
One of the best chain Diners. The food is always excellent here and they have so much variety! The service was great at this location as well.
Good solid diner food. Not too long of a wait, but we went at a less crowded time.
The food was good but they a while to get the food out. Plus they put cheese in my eggs which I didnt ask for. Overall its pretty good
The food was typical diner food. The staff was very unprofessional. We had a booth near the door, the workers were sitting in a booth parallel to us about 2 feet away. They were complaining about their jobs, the restaurant, and the food. Did not like the fact that I was hearing the workers complain about the food as I was waiting for my food to come out. Will not be going back.
Great American Diner food. Cant go wrong! Breakfast around the clock.
The food is delicious but their service and attention to the customers have drastically declined. Had to wait 15 mins which understandable, but then I sat for 10-15 mins without anyone coming to my table. Hostess (Camille) was nice. I see the manager leaning on the counter on her phone and servers communicating to each other. Its not that many people in here. I ask for the manager (Alexandra), she takes my order, brings my food, walks away did not ask if I needed condiments or anything. Had to go to the bar for them. Ive been to several Silver Diners and this is not their standard of service. If the owners witnessed this they would be highly disappointed people are running their business like this. I felt like they were doing me a favor to serve me.
Their revamped menu is delicious. The place was popping like crazy during Sunday Brunch. I got the Tofu Bahn Mi. My sister got the Cauliflower Sandwich and my mom got the Classic Reuben. They were all fantastic & flavorful. The drinks were a bit too expensive though. A regular Mimosa was $7. I think $5 wouldve been more appropriate.Ill definitely be going back!
Oh my, Silver Dinner was amazing. The service was wonderful and the food is to die for.
Good us always on point both aesthetically and flavorful. Servers always polite and accommodating. Will continue dining here
Four and a half stars...this is one of the better diners still surviving. No longer a place for cheap meals, quality, cleanliness, and well-appointed decor is costly. Well worth the expense.
Friendly staff excellent food and good service all of course with safety in mind.
A bit slow. The server was great but busy and you could tell that she had tables throughout the restaurant versus just our section. Food was great and at a great price. The other servers werent too keen on helping if you werent one of their patrons and we were told a couple times they would pass the message to our server. Really loved the decoration too, very diner era decoration with mini juke boxes at each table.
Me and my buddy came in for lunch and was seated down and waited about 10 mins and was never seen by a waiter, after waiting another 5 mins we watched an older couple get seated right next to us and they were helped with drinks and there orders within minutes of sitting down. Mind you me and my buddy were both military and in uniform so it’s not like we were hidden or hard to spot and yet so many people walked by us never even asking us what drinks we wanted so needless we left without ever being served. Had high expectations as it was my first time going buuuuut it was also my last after today.
Outstanding, first time visiting this place drove by it so many times and today we finally went in for brunch. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was warm and welcoming.
Stopped there for Brunch. Kids ordered Choc Chip Pancakes and the Loved them. I ordered the Amish Cage Eggs & Bacon with home Fries. The eggs if the were eggs were dyed Yellow without any Taste! Awful! Biscuit and Bacon were Good, Home Fries were Horrible! The entire Meal was Ice Cold!! I havent been there In A few years and It was bad then!!
Super disappointed! We had called ahead to make sure they have outside seating and when we arrived with the whole family we were turned away because they only do dining inside. Didn’t get a chance to try anything and we had been looking forward to it for weeks. What a shame! If you don’t have outside seating, then don’t say you do!
