I cannot speak to their service, but when I called to set up an account and service, I stopped mid-call and said I would shop around because the receptionist was so rude. After being referred to them by a family member, I was ready to use this company. The receptionist was demeaning, cold and seemed bothered. I can spend my money at another company.

Left one star because I couldnt leave zero. Nothing but issues with Southern States since going to them. Poor communication, did work on my fireplace changing a valve that actually prevented my fireplace from working at all for a couple weeks. Dont let them suck you in with low pricing to get the tank set. Just pay a little more and go somewhere else.

I have used them for my propane for the last 8 years. They are something you can just set up and forget about (other than paying the bill). They always came out and filled my tank without me worrying about it. The best companies are the ones you never have to worry about.

My heat pump went out on Christmas Eve this past year, and I called the Southern States team at Tri County to help. The technician that had previously worked on my heat pump was on vacation & so the manager called him and quickly found an alternative & called me back to make sure I got what I needed. He gave me a trusted technician from another company, who was able to fix the problem & had my heat back up and running that same day. The family was coming over the next day, so I didnt have to cancel Christmas lunch.In my opinion, one of the marks of a company truly dedicated to customer service is to help fix the problem, even if it means passing up the short term sale. I would highly recommend the Tri County team for propane fuel or HVAC services. Friendly/responsive people, fair pricing & stellar customer service.
