The staff was great to work with upon delivering and leading up to ordering and delivery. They are super helpful and knowledgeable. They let us borrow a car overnight and this is what inspired us to but a new Model Y. Theres no pressure to buy and its a beautiful place with lots of cars out front. Bathrooms need some help tho. π
This is a great location, and we had a nice experience. We test drove a model y by appointment, and were able to get time for both of us driving by arranging to start the first appointment of the day 15 minutes early. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Also, super great car. Im taller than most, and was able at adjust the passenger seat so I could open the glove box without hitting my knees, and still had 2 inches of clearance between the back of the seat and my knees when in the back. Lots of acceleration from 0-60, and plenty left for 60-80 type situations. I did not enjoy driving my usual car home :)
I had my first mobile service after picking up my car in August 2021. It was easy to make the appointment, the tech communicated well with me about the timeframe of arrival, and the service was quick and efficient. Thanks to Joel for providing great customer service!
Just as there is no other car like a Tesla - the same goes for the Tesla showroom. Its not your fathers dealership. Cordial and friendly with no pressure or over the top salesmanship. A nice way to get to know the car thats changing the world.

Teslas are great cars. Love the technology and once you go in for a test drive, youll most likely walkout buying one.We werent crazy about the service though. Before purchasing the car, the sales rep was great. But after we bought it, they were not helpful at all. The day we went to pickup our car, the rep did a very brief walkthrough and was in a rush to get us out of there. We had to ask questions in order to get any information. For most of the items, we had to Google or talk to other Tesla owners to find out and learn things. We found out from Google that every new Tesla comes w a USB used to record all the movement around the car. We called the dealer to ask about our USB and they pretty much indicated we didnt look for it properly. Then I was told I needed to make a service appointment so they can tell me maybe if it mightve been placed somewhere else. They wouldnt even consider replacing a $45 USB after we spend nearly $70k on a car.Initially we put $100 deposit for the S model. We were told the $ is nonrefundable unless we only changed the model we were getting in which case, the $ would apply towards the 2nd model we chose. We decided to go w the Y instead of S and had to put another $100 down. We never received $100 back for the S. After calling few times, we were told they submitted a claim and the regional manager has to approve it. Still waiting for that approval.Apologies for the long review but thought it was important to share our experience.I highly recommend the car. But their service needs a lot of work. It seems they dont care to focus on customer service because the car pretty much sells itself.

A very strange, but low pressure, experience.It was pouring rain; but we had to take delivery of our car outside because they had put cars being picked up later inside. Thatβs just poor planning and bad customer service.Lack of weather accommodation withstanding, the customer service was superb. They had an issue getting our plates assigned, so they gave us new ones (instead of temporary plates.)
Hello,I accepted a Model Y from another dealer that was closer to where I live. A couple of weeks into ownership, my Grandson came to visit and noticed that the Tesla T was missing form from the drivers front wheel cap. I likely took delivery and never noticed this. Anyway, I called the original dealer, asked for help on this, even spoke to one individual but nothing was ever done - no call back - no nothing. I called Tesla Glen Allen/Richmond and immediately got help. The crew there sent me a new hubcap without question and it arrived by the weekend. Very efficient service center. Brought in my Y at 8:45am Appt. for a tow hitch install and HVAC sensor replacements. Was told it would probably not be done until 4:45pm but the service rep gave me a loaner car while I waited (very nice of him). It ended up being done by 11:45am same day. Install looks great. Thank you all.
Parking here is some how not good, but not difficult, Service is excellent, people here are knowledgeable, quick responsive. Make sure to book an appointment for test drives..!

I came into Tesla early Feb 2020 to test drive the Model 3. For the last few years, Iβve had my eye on Tesla. In short I was sold after an hour drive! Our Specialist was Caleb and that same day, I placed my order online for a 2020 Model 3. What a great experience, no pushy sales reps! Caleb walked me through the online process and I customized my Model 3 to my specifications (full-self driving is a must, I had to have it). Now, the wait seemed like forever but it was only 6 weeks as quoted. A week before my Tesla arrived (March 2020) I was scheduled for pick-up. Pick-up day was Fantastic! I simply signed one paper and spent about 30 minutes checking the car over with Caleb and my Husband and then a quick how to from Caleb who was wonderful and I was done! Now, fast forward to now Sept 2020 still the same great service. I needed my filter checked and Tesla mobile service was on point just as they are whenever I have a question! There is so much to learn with this car and with the constant updates (itβs like a new car with each update) so, the exceptional service in person, on the phone and via text is appreciated! Tesla owner for life this car is amazing!
I had a Virginia State Inspection appointment. I brought my lunch and had just enough time to finish it before my car was ready to go.

I went for a test drive and had great service, but this location is clearly too small for the interest it generates. Between their cars and the visitor cars the lot was full and then some. The comically poor state of the road right at entrance is also off putting.Tesla should consider moving this location.

Had the nagging suspicion that the low tire pressure indicator on my tire had nothing to do with the cold temps outside... and I was right. :/ Occupational hazard- nails seem to drawn to me. You donβt know how much I appreciate being treated w/ respect when I walked in the service center today, (with no appt.) and asked you all to check my tire. Took my car back right away, found the nail, determined no repair possible and put a new tire on in less than an hour! So glad we took the Tesla Plunge and that Tesla has a service center/sales center in RVA!
They have the service process down to assembly line like efficiency. Waiting room is library quiet.
A little disappointing and frustrating since I drove 3 hours and didnt get to drive the vehicles I scheduled. Waited a few weeks for them to have a long range and performance model 3. Eventually I was told they had them in. Called this morning to double check. Made the appointment for the afternoon, get there and they say they dont have them, no explanation why. They say they have the long range and performance in another model. Test out the long range,get back and they say they dont actually have a performance model to test. How were they so off on what they had available?

Iβll be continuing to make the drive for all my future service needs. Awesome facility and staff that goes the extra mile. My service advisor Dustin kept me informed on my cars status throughout the day and answered all my questions. Dustin is a great Advisor and a perfect face for the Tesla brand.

Came to test drive a Model 3. The salesperson was very helpful and provided us with info. Took our contact information but did not reach out after the drive. Tried to contact salesperson for more information on availability or leasing but no response. Bought another brand.
Bright, high tech, but low pressure room where you can check out vehicles and see the service area. Sales team was friendly and helpful but never even asked me about buying (this is a positive comment, to be clear).
Most friendly staff Ive ever encountered at a dealership. Best car buying experience I have ever had and Ive had a lot of cars. Everyone has went above and beyond to answer my questions and loved that I was not there all day signing paperwork. Only took 10 mins and then I got my keys.

My service experience was 4 and not a 5 only because I did wait for 2 1/2hrs before they told me it was going to be 3 more hrs before my car would be ready. I normally wouldnt mind that but I had plans. They did give me a loaner so that did help. Everyone was very friendly and pleasant.

The cars are really advanced and the sales process was pretty cut and dry. They have a vehicle that is in pretty high demand and they are very nice. I enjoyed the ride and Chris was my salesman was very pleasant and knowledgeable. I definitely recommend him if you are in the market.
Test drove the 3 a couple times at the end of last year in hopes of pre-ordering the Y. We had a great experience with the Richmond VA employees, they were knowledgeable, attentive, and helpful. Ended up ordering the long range AWD Y in December. We are just hoping delivery goes smoothly. :)

They didnβt try to weasel out of anything at all, changed drive unit, axels and hub.Everyone was very friendly, honest and pleasant. The tech that looked at the car (Art) was very well informed and great to deal with.They even gave me a loaner car for the day.
Relative to the parking lot the large building is split in two. The larger right side is Teslas showroom while the smaller left, a solitery garage door, is the entrance to the service center.Beyond the garage door the service center stretches way back and even to the right behind the showroom. The staff there were very friendly and helpful. Service to my Model 3 was performed in a timely and professional manner.I would recommend Tesla owners get out of warranty repairs or maintenance completed somewhere else, though. Cost of parts and labor is quite high.

I just felt like there was a definite lack of courtesy from the staff. Most were inattentive and the representative working with us seemed disinterested. The facilities lacked a finesse/comfort for it to specialize in such a luxury vehicle.

I took the family to the Richmond Tesla store this afternoon. Everyone was super excited and my wife was dropping not so subtle hints that she wanted a Tesla. While standing next to a sign that read Experience Tesla today, no appointment necessary, we asked if we could test drive a Tesla. We were told there was a 2 week wait for test drives. When my wife pointed out that we were driving down from Fredericksburg and that the website didnt say anything about a wait time, the lady we spoke to was a bit rude and definitely dismissive. It completely colored the rest of our experience there. We were entirely ready to purchase a Tesla Model X today, but ended up walking out disappointed and deflated.Update 11/21/19 - We ended up getting a call from Tesla customer service not long after posting our review and they apologized for our bad experience. Since then we went ahead a ordered a white Model X and, while far from inexpensive, we couldnt be happier with our purchase. Its literally the best car weve ever owned. Its nimble, responsive, it plants firmly through turns, and when you hit the accelerator, it quickly brings a smile to your face. And I could spend all day talking about the tech. We still had some issues at times with the customer support at the Tesla store, but our Tesla MX is so awesome, its easy to overlook. Hopefully Tesla learns from their growing pains and resolves those issues going forward.

So it is true what is said about the body panel fit quality. There were several Mark 3s on the lot, all had obvious alignment issues, even the one with the ready for delivery inspection report on the dash. Come on Tesla, you can do better.
Tried 3 times to lease a car. Got different prices for the same car each time. Never was able to get an appointment to meet my schedule to do the deal so I gave up.
I had a great experience with great service. The sales rep was polite and further feuled my interest in these incredible cars and the incredible movement of making electric vehicles marketable. Thank you for humoring an interested kid, Tesla!
Dealership quality service without the dealership feel. Nobody is pushing things you dont need. As you could expect, there is free Keurig coffee, teas, water bottles, and WiFi while you wait for your car to be finished.

Worst experience.. Whitney and kyla both are very rude and not helpful at all.. I bought my Tesla from this showroom and service was nothing but just horrible.. Whitney mentioned few times to me that they do not care if I buy or not just take it or leave it.. overall worst experience ever.. canβt wait to get Rivian on market..

A friend that had an appointment to test drive a Tesla asked if I wanted to go along. Of course I said yes. I didnt expect to drive and planned on just being a passenger but the sales associate asked if I wanted to drive as well. I said I would as long as my time behind the wheel would not decrease the driving time of my friend. I readily accepted when we had the assurance that we would each get a full test drive experience. I wont go into the details of driving the Tesla Model X as Im sure there are plenty of reviews about that. It was a total blast and suffice it to say that at the end of the test drive I feel like there are really only two classes of cars, Teslas and everything else.
Always first class service. Just took my car in for a new windshield, but they did all updates and safety checks too. Even washed the car. Ready earlier than estimated. Plus they gave me a loaner car.

Trouble customer service. My scheduled pick up date has been moved 2 more times. All they have say is they dont control the logistics.. π€·ββοΈ They make no other effort than this poor excuse for why a car ive been waiting months for is never here on time.
