Worst Best Buy, I ever been. My wife and I have been waiting for at least 15 minutes to get assistance in purchasing 2 laptop. We asked 2 separate Best Buy worker but with no avail. If I can give them negative stars, I would. I am a Best Buy credit card holder for at least 10 years. Worst Best Buy ever!!!

The Geek Squad is the BEST in the Business as far as Electronics installations! Prices are Expensive ONLY if you DONT the Electronics in general from the BEST BUY STORE(just a Warning) other than that? I would definitely recommend the Geek Squad to EVERYONE! Came to the store with a nice budget for a laptop and accessories, but could not get any help. I was in the store for 30 minutes, when my son said we should leave. I even told a sales person which computer I wanted. He walked away. It is a benefit being black in Best Buy because no one bothers you, but not being able to get assistance in a nearly empty store is ridiculous. I saved my $1700 budget and will have time to make a more informed choice. Stop judging people, because black people make money too.

Always fairly good customer service. But, be sure to have an appointment just to drop something off for repair. It takes just as long for them to write up a drop-off as it does to write a repair ticket so Im sure its just to create a value service feeling in the customer to require an appointment.

First off when you call the store you get a recording saying that they are not taking calls at this time. So I went online and purchased a 32 inch flat screen which was supposed to be new. What I got was a open box that was re-taped with items missing. When I called customer service 800 number all they said is that they could reorder me another one and have it delivered. I asked why couldnt someone from the Brook Rd store bring me one since they were still open. That must have been a stupid question all she said is that she would connect me to the store, all that happened was that I got disconnected. So I had to call back. Long story short all they did was reorder it with no good discount that I thought I deserved. I will never recommend Best Buy to anyone. I would love to see them close for good. I miss Circuit City

The new tendency towards grouping products by brand rather than type makes in person comparison shopping nonsensical. Having tablets in 7 different places around the store is very conducive to brand ecosystems but not at all helpful if youre genuinely trying to find the right product. It would be much more helpful to have kindles alongside chrome alongside Samsungs, apart from that I might as well just look at a comparison chart online.

BUYER BEWARE of any in-house delivery appointments need for purchases. I purchased a refrigerator and chose the soonest appointment date (which caused me to take the day off from my job) and selected a 5 hour time window (7am-1pm)that worked for me on that date. I received a phone call, email, and text the day before confirming my time window for the next day would be 830am-1230pm. I paid the additional fee to have my old refrigerator hauled away when the new one was delivered so I cleaned the food out of my refrigerator by 8am on delivery day and placed in coolers. My delivery window came and went and no phone call to say they were running late. I called “customer service” and after holding for over an hour was told my case was being escalated but they couldn’t reach the delivery team!! With the amount of technology available for communication these days, how can you not reach your delivery team?! This has been an AWLFUL experience. They have wasted my freezer foods and and my day off!!! Then they wanted to set up another appointment…. SORRY I won’t fall for that again! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE with regards to in house deliveries! Don’t have customers select a time window and confirm everything the day before if you have no intentions of meeting that standard!

I visit this store a couple of times a month and the staff is generally helpful. If you’re looking for people who know what they are talking about- Reese and Bryson are the go to guys. They are knowledgeable on their products and are extremely professional and down to earth people. They have never steered me wrong and are the reason I keep coming back.

Went in about 45 minutes until closing on Sat, Sept 25th, 2021. I was on my way there with family members when one of them questioned why I still go to Best Buy and not use Amazon - the store nearest her house had just closed for good (Mechanicsville, VA). I said that I am an Elite Plus member and also Total Tech Support and spend around 15-20k a year at Best Buy. I get about $350 worth of supplies that I needed while visiting from out of state, and get in line. Now note, for some reason, Best Buy has closed down all registers since COVID and are routing them through customer service/Geek Squad desk. They have one employee assisting 8 people in line, and it was not moving. They paged other workers, and they slowly came up to assist but nobody could get the line moving. I finally get to be second in line after 35 minutes, and the lady in front of me cannot get whatever she is doing handled. I set everything I had on the counter and walked out. You just lost one of your top household/business consumers for good. I am shutting my Best Buy credit card down and moving all my business to Amazon and others. I placed my order on my phone and it was delivered the next morning. Now I see why stores are closing - Best Buy will soon be a thing of the past like all other retailers who never evolved.

I would leave negative stars if I could. I had made two appointments to have speakers and an amp installed and twice they canceled on me. The after the first cancellation I made another one during the week and took the day off and they turned around and canceled that too. Definitely not a good way to treat your customer whos also an elite member

This place currently (as of 7/17/2021) is pretty understaffed. They cant even have anyone at front lanes, and checkout is routed through customer service. So that means the person trying to do a really long return/exchange is going to be holding you up 20 minutes while you just want to buy one thing. I would normally suggest just order the item for pickup but since that is all at customer service it doesnt change much. I feel bad for the staff that the management cant foresee these issues. This has been the case for the last 3 times I have gone here.

Helpful staff, but not always the most knowledgeable. My husband works with networks all day long.An associate asked him if he needed any help the routers he was browsing through. My husband asked a few questions, and the associate said, thats not how that works.My husband was about to explain, but then he quickly realized hes not getting paid to train their associates. He does suspect BB probably makes a lot of money on restocking fees when people buy things on the advice of an associate but when those things dont work, end up returning them and paying a restocking fee.We see what youre doing BB.

Today I walked into this store and received what I believe to be the best customer service possible. When I walked into the store a young associate by the name of Tyler greeted me asking how I was doing, after we had a short conversation about the day, he helped me to make an informed decision on the product I had come in for. As I was checking out I didn’t feel rushed, everything that happened was up to me, I did not feel any pressure. Tyler even helped me sign up for the Best Buy credit card to receive 10% off my purchase! This friendly individual is the reason I will continue to come to this store. I would even go so far as to say his customer service today was greater than that of Chick file. Overall great experience.

Unfortunately, the service is a hit or miss. Either you find someone with no clue and end up feeling like the blind leading the blind or you find someone who has the knowledge and goes above and beyond your expectations. And today I got both kinds. I was sent to wander around aimlessly then I finally figured (almost left but decided to look somewhere else in the store) and found a gent that knew what I was talking about and took me to where it was and made sure that I would know of each of the steps I should take to resolve my issue. I felt like I was in good hands and listened carefully. I wish that gent the best!

Only one left within a almost reasonable distance(after 2 closed, the only 2 ever in the east end of Richmond VA) I you wouldnt know it by being in the location, but it and the o es like it wont be around long & it is nice to see many items in reach that otherwise Id have to order and as nice/convenient as that is, it is great to have a place nearby when you need an item ASAP.. it is also nice to see things and know they exist(be it any type of item) that otherwise I dont know about or get to see to know about thru o line shoping(you dont see alot searching for items on Amazon or bestbuy.com even that you dont know of, its not the same as heading to a electronic merch location for a specific item and whej you walk thru the Iles to the Ile with your item your seeing you get to view items you didnt know of and potentially wont for a while maybe a good while..Anyways 5 stars, the service was also excellent.. Ill be back for sure thank you for still existing Best Buy team

I shop here all the time. Sometimes great, sometimes a little less. I have usually found the people on the floor to be knowledgeable and helpful.It is best to go in in off-peak hours if you really need help finding what youre looking for.And if they dont ask you, make sure you get drop-and-spill protection on anything more than $200.

Didnt buy anything. They wont accept calls to the store, and when I went in I alotted about 20 minutes of my lunch break,not including how long it takes to get to the store, to pick up a new phone. There was one person on the sales floor that could ring out cell phones, and I ran out of time by the time one of 4 people ahead of me were checked out. They seem like theyre understaffed, which is frustrating for both ends. The last time I went I had the same issue and from now on I think Ill try another location or order from Amazon. (I went to Brook Rd)

The salesman was trying to steer me toward what he wanted to sell me,when I asked questions about the different aspects of the product he told me I was confusing myself with the questions I was asking him. also they had one price on the shelf for a product and I was going to buy after I was done looking around.When it was time to pay for it the price had changed.I questioned him about the change in price he said he would charge me for the price that was on the shelf which was cheaper but he charge me the higher price so that meant I had to go back to the store and find out why I was being charged a higher price when the shelf price was cheaper. Eventually he called the manager, in the end they charged me the shelf price I saw at first which was cheaper. So I felt pressured and disrespected due to the fact that he was trying to overcharge me and to sell me what he wanted to sell.

I had to ask if they were closing this location because everything was dusty and ran through 🤷🏾‍♀️ Somebody took all of the physical dvds and games. It was empty as hell. They should really restock this location if they plan on continuing as a business. Customer service was cool. I liked that they didnt bug me to death about needing help.

Me & my daughter looked for a TV at Walmart. The TV we wanted to buy was $100 less online but when we went to get it at walmart their price was $100 more than the online price and another Walmart. They would not honor the price for the exact TV on Walmart.com or at the other Walmart store. So we went to Best Buy because I got my TV from Best Buy a year ago and the protection plan is better too. I ordered my TV online and picked it up the next day. Today BestBuy.com said they had one left in stock. We went to get it. The clerk had to go in back to find the last one but he searched until he found it. Ive always gotten good service and good products from Best Buy so I will continue to shop there and not even bother wasting my time with Walmart and there unsatisfactory service and employees that just dont care to help customers get what they came for! Thank you Best Buy!

The only Best Buy locations I know of around me are this one (Brook Rd) and the Short Pump location. Never really had an issue with either, but the Brook Rd one is smaller and has slightly less variety. However, Ive had significantly better customer service from this location compared to most other Best Buys anywhere. Employees are always kind and will go the extra mile to help you out.

I guess this location will start to get busier now that the one in Mechanicsville is slated to close. I did curbside pickup and it was very fast and friendly. My order was ready in less than an hour and they brought it to me within just 2 or three minutes of my arrival. Do the employees a favor and wear your mask when they come to your car and have your order number ready for them to see from a distance.

Illegally refusing service and asking what a medical condition is for not wearing a mask. In last week and was allowed to shop with zero issues, will happily never give my business to them again. Didnt go in on this trip... Instead we opted for the curbside service. It was our first time using this service at Best Buy. I will definitely utilize it again! The associate who brought our item was super helpful and friendly. He even held our items whiley guy rearranged the trunk to make room for the purchase (if it had been me, I would have put it on the ground and went on about my day)- so big ups to him for being a stellar associate.

ZERO consideration for health of customers. COVID safety non-compliance EVERYWHERE. Guests with no masks or improperly worn masks, employees with improperly worn masks, zero enforcement of masking policy or distancing, zero cleaning at cashwrap. Employees stand in close, non-distanced clumps and rarely assist customers to boot.I’ve already reported them to Best Buy corporate and the Virginia Department Of Health. Do yourself a favor and DON’T go to the place where you get free death from a horrible pandemic virus along with your affordable electronics.
