I love how clean this place was at 4 pm. I wanted a greater selection but I found stuff to complete my project. It was also refreshing to see cahiers who knew the store layout and where items where located. This place is heading in the right direction!

Heres the thing, Northern Tool is good BUT Carolina Boot Co. on the other hand is AWFUL, just AWFUL!!! I essentially paid ONE HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS to have MASSIVE holes in my heels so bad that I had to buy a different pair of boots for work!!! Now that Im 220 DOLLARS lighter than I was before I walked in that store a MONTH ago, Ive had those Carolinas 1 MONTH&I cant wear them&&Carolina Boot Co. SAID they were gonna do something about it but NOTHING happened!!! Im STRUGGLING to pay my bills&now Im DEFINITELY struggling even more!!! Not Northern Tools fault about the boots it just REALLY sucks!!! They DID let me return the 1st pair that were defective without the box but I had the receipt, the SECOND defective pair I threw away the receipt because I figured I was good buying Carolinas, I was VERYYY wrong! Beware of Carolina steel toe loggers, theyre AWFUL!!! 3 stars.

Wide selection of merchandise. My store has a knowledgeable staff, who are polite and quick to offer assistance, when needed. Returns are easy, without any hassles. Prices are mid-range to the low end of things.

Horrible customer service, very little follow up and in general a totally bad purchasing experience. They sold me a product that was supposedly ready to be shipped months ago and when it was delivered, they did not do what was agreed upon. Their remittance standards leave much to be desired and the Assistance Store Manager Brandon is only one small step above useless.I called the corporate office and was promised a solution and am following up.* Improved from 1 Star to 3 - The Corporate office got involved and credited back my part of my charge. Still waiting but at least Im not needing to pay for something that I didnt receive.** Improved from 3 - 4 Stars - After the earlier problems with the order and the involvement of the corporate office, things improved. I have now used the wood splitter several times and am now happy with it.

Each and every time that I have shopped at Northern Tool, the associates has been very helpful in servicing me and took the time to answer all my questions and make sure I got what I needed.

I went in to look at some lawn carts. Gabby, one of the sales associates, was super helpful. They had a very good selection in-stock, she told me about a deal so I could get it for less, and even helped load it in my car.

Northern tool has tools,safety equipment and supplies the other open box doesnt have. Need to carry some Dickies workwear though

Called five minutes before closing. They answered the call. Asked if they had spare tires for trailers. They said yes. I said great, I will be there in two minutes. I arrived in three ran up to the doors and they were locked. Bummer. But did see a customer just walk out, so was hopeful. I knocked on the door until a sale associate came out and told me the registers were closed. I explain my situation and still no help. Wow, what a let down. Checked my watch 5:59 pm. Good luck in this economy, won’t get my business.

This is a good place to find equipment that you used to find at the neighborhood hardware store, but Lowes and Home Depot doesnt carry. If you have the time compare the price of Harbor Freight to Northern Tool you will find competitive prices.

Really excited to finally have a northen tool and equipment on the Northside of the James River. Great place to get what you need for the farm or shop.

I did not buy anything today, but first visit to a Northern store. I will be back. Neat and well stocked, looked like quality stuff and a great selection of equipment.
