A great hardware store, great products at a great price

I cant remember his name, but he was a super nice older gentleman who was very helpful with finding what I needed.

My favorite place to buy home improvement. Staff is so helpful, their suggestions helped me improve my home. Special thanks to Kevin and Katie from Gillette store could not have done without them. At 75 yrs female this is what I did.

A wide array of building, household, and outdoor products. Well stocked with those hard-to-find parts you need.... And if they dont have it, they can get it to you in a jiffy! Online ordering and home delivery are great! Staff is highly knowledgeable. Store is clean and tidy. Re commended to all.

Manager went to my car to make sure I had correct size light bulbs for a fixture that was purchased elsewhere.

This really is the best place in town to get home improvement supplies. They have just about anything. However I have been in many other Home Depot’s or Lowe’s type stores and this seems to be the first one I have been to that doesn’t seem to have a very friendly or knowledgeable staff. They are not unfriendly, they just don’t really interact with you when you are clearly trying to find something in the rows of similar looking aisles.

Home Depot do you even care anymore about customers? You think this store would want to do a outstanding job of taking care of the people in Gillette and keep all the profit in your store! For every one associate that speaks to you or helps you there are ten that ignore you. Coupled with this and MANY problems with products I will travel to Lowes to make all purchases now. You are a disappointment to someone who worked for this company for several years. You should be ashamed. I think you are one the only store of this kind in Gillette so some people have no choice but to shop with you! I had to give you one star to post but I didnt even want to do that!

Cant believe so many people are saying best place in town for home improvement needs. Been working on daughters house to get it ready to sell. Paneling, trim, flooring, etc. Is a joke, you have very few choices and staff never says anything to you when walking by, not even a hi. Found a huge selection of what we needed at Menards so we went there. Excellent customer service at Menards.

Like always you can go to go here to get your household supplies or your building supplies they will most likely have it but you going to have sticker shock like everything they have raised the prices higher and act like everybody else has the only thing I see the negative cuz I put up Picket Fences and used to be able to buy the six foot tall Picketts the board for 90 some sense of Peace another over $4 I know thats a rip-off the Exxon store to go to if youre going to pay a hell of a lot more for it today

Ordered a dish washer in Nov cancelled in Feb because they said it would be at least another 2 months. Otherwise have been very satisfied with them.

Staff is polite and helpful when asked questions.

Hubby sent ME to get an 1/8 rotary drill for metal that would fit a 3/8 drill, right, I got this one! Paul in tools took me right to it, what a genius!!! THANKS PAUL!!!

Staff was very unhelpful. There was no one bit us in appliances and we were trying to get something ordered but no one would help us. Waited 15 minutes before we just left

You can find all you would expect to find in a typical Home Depot, everything except customer service.I searched in the door department but it was like a ghost town. I had questions concerning that beautiful kitchen sink and had to hunt someone down, who then called for assistance as that was not yheir department. Waited 10 minutes and finally the only employee who I saw actually working (putting yogether a ceiling fan) put down her project to come help.Went to check out and inquired about yheir credit card and the cashier said theyd help me as doon ad I completed my purchase but as soon as I had paid he turned and started tinging up the next customer.This was just the one visit.Menards is looking better everytime I go to Home Depot.

Good quality products! But for years this store has lacked team building and knowledgeable staff.... management problem?! Still my favorite place in town!

2 stars because as we were shopping around we did run into some nice and helpful people but the next day we went in and someone from the paint department was asked to attempt to help us in the appliance department and while I thought that was good I would have rather waited and received no help at all due to the amount of sass and back talk I received from this woman who tried to help us. Customer service is a tricky business and we all have our bad days but I just really didnt appreciate being spoken to in such a way.

Found someone who knew exactly where what we wanted was located and that is rare! Said shed worked here 9 years!

They have pretty much anything you would need for a home inside and out. Home depot is deffinatly a place to go for DIY projects or repairs. The staff members are helpful when asked for help.

Staff is very friendly! However they do need to learn how to communicate and work as a team! When my boyfriend and I were there we just finished paying for our appliances, it started storming outside so the whole store was starting to flood, the roof was leaking everywhere and on top of the appliances. We saw the guy who was helping us had left so we told another employee that the stoves were getting soaked. He told us it’s not his area so he will let those guys fend for themselves. As we left the guy who had helped us out was helping with all the water that was coming in through the doors. Few weeks later I had received a phone call that my appliances were and and we schedule for my appliances to be delivered on the 14 since they only deliver on Tuesdays and Thursdays and the 14 was the only day I had off on their delivery days. Few days later I had received a message that my appliances will not be delivered on the 14 because the drivers will be over on hours and had them scheduled to be delivered on the 21. Because I live out of town and was at home my service is hit and miss sometimes so I told my boyfriend that he needs to call and tell them the 21 was not going to work for us because we both are working that day. The guy my boyfriend talked to said we shouldn’t have be scheduled on the 14 because my appliances were still on the truck. My boyfriend told them he will pick them up on Friday (today the 17). They said that was fine and they will be ready for pickup. Today my boyfriend called them to let them know he was on his way to pick them up and they told him they’re still on the truck because they are scheduled for delivery on the 21. We don’t live in Gillette, we live in Newcastle, so my boyfriend told them they have 2 hours to get them ready because he will be picking them up today!I strongly think the employees need to do communication exercises or something, because I tell you this is stupid and we WILL not be shopping here again because I DO NOT want to deal with this mess EVER AGAIN!

More than happy with the Home Depot’s online service. I ordered a mattress topper online and it said it was going to take 8 days and I got it in only 2! Easiest online order I’ve ever experienced. Thanks, @homedepot!

One of the friendliest Home Depots I have ever been in. Needed to buy concrete and I am somewhat puny. Juan loaded the bags into my wheel barrow, waited at the door while my great granddaughter and I went to get the car and loaded it all up. All with a smile on his face. 😄

First day I moved to Gillette I shopped at this HomeDepot for new locks and other basic home necessities to get stocked up on. The staff were friendly and helpful. They helped me locate a few items that I was having trouble finding myself. I appreciate the time they took to assist me and I am grateful that they were so kind. I would highly recommend this Home Depot as it is clean, well staffed, and conveniently located.

We were able to look at the appliances we were interested in. Also great that they would deliver to long distances.

I was in the Home depot store in Gillette Wyoming and I was looking at water heaters. The two sale clerks were very professional and knowledgeable in answering my questions. My hat is off to the two sale clerks great job. I plan to shop more at home depot. Thank you.

I always like going to Home Depot,, sometimes I dont even know what Im there for.......something?????

I ordered a 60” rigid tool box, they sent me the 48”. Called them and they said no problem come in and exchange it. It was still strapped to a pallet wrapped in plastic and cardboard when I showed up and they pulled it all off to inspect it. Got the 60” and headed home, then when I got home I took the cardboard off and it was really beat up. Called them they said bring it back we will exchange it or give you 50 dollars in return, decided to take the 50 bucks. The next time I went there it changed to 30 dollars or 50 in store credit.

Great little Home Depot store. Was a great help in a large multifaceted job.

Wind storm took out our fence, so we came in along with half the South Sound on a Sunday. The employees were running around, understandably understaffed, but were helpful and friendly even though they were quickly running out of things like 4x4s for fence posts. One employee commented that the rush of people made it feel like summer, and he was right!

Its rare to have a store that supplies enough variety and I walk out of there more successful in getting the things I need than most other places. Too bad I dont live in Gillette anymore. I miss this store. Wish Rapid City had one.

Love shopping at home depot....evrything is well organized and stocked up. Lots to choose from.

Called twice to ask if I could return my 62 inch husky tool box. Two different people told me yes. Had it two months. Took all my tools out and loaded it up. Took it in and they told me they couldn’t return it. AFTER I called twice and was told I could. Horrible service. Don’t recommend. Go to menards.

Got what I needed, both from start to finish it was nothing but a negative experience. The paint lady asking me are you sure you want this? And making me feel like I didnt know what I was doing, two girls asked if I needed help....then had no idea what I was talking about (wooded button plugs). The last straw was the guy loading grass seed onto my trailer. I love getting argued with when I know what I want and how my trailer will pull. I dont need 3 extra pallets under my pallet of seed. Why does it need to be 3 ft higher? Then when I say Im not comfortable with that, he turns to the worker girl next to her and whispers something to her. Like that wasnt obvious. My next trips for my home remodel will be to Menards.Date of visit: 11/13/17 7:00pm

They where helpful. Have plants even in the winter. And helped me to paint my furniture with the best color and style I was looking for.

Usually much higher but only 2 stars tonight. I walk into the store to be greeted by a much less than friendly staffer who says sir were closed; & stands there staring at me. Trying to fit in I stand there & stare back (ha), wondering “so why in the heck did you let me in? So you could be rude & stare? Well ookaaay then...

Went to sign up for a card and the lady was pretty rude. She has us stand and wait for her to finish a conversation she was having with another employee then acted like us waiting on her was rude of us. Shes currently the employee of the month, we believe, which I find hilarious. I honestly do like home depot and shopping there, but dealing with rude employees who act like were a nuisance makes me not want to go back.

Ordered on there in store puckup at 8 am at 7pm it still was not ready. Never again...

I like this place, it is a typical Home Depot. I was impressed however with the quality of their safety program. I left the store aware of a keener sense of feeling safe. So dont ride on the carts folks. Thanks Home Depot for protecting the community.

It’s rare you have customer service that’s above & beyond now a days but that is what I received from an employee named Valerie in the hardware department of the Gillette store!This morning at 7:30am my fiancé attempted to surprise me with a new table saw that was on sale this Black Friday. She bought it online from the Casper store but 2 hours later the store called to tell her they had charged her for the saw but no one pulled it & they sold our saw & told us we’d get our money back in 5 days. She tried calling the Gillette store that had 3 in stock but was left on hold so I tried to reach the customer service & was also left on hold. I decided to try to call the hardware department specifically & reached an employee named Valerie. She immediately went to pull the saw off the shelf for me while I finished checking out online with my purchase. After our phone call she texted me a picture of the saw she thought I wanted to check that it was the correct item. I sent her a picture of the correct saw I ordered & within a minute she sent me a picture of the saw I wanted on the shelf & said “Pulling it up front now!!” Thanks to her I was able to purchase the saw I wanted on a day that saved me $200 off & have peace of mind that it wouldn’t be sold out from under me again before I could pick it up. Now a days it’s rare to find such Incredible customer service & I felt it was worth a shout out! Thank you Valerie in Gillette!

They have no help and the help they have are not very knowledgeable about anything. The best thing about this store is the selection of power tools but cant get help to ask questions. Home Depot in Gillette,Wyoming needs to hire knowledgeable help and fire the lazy ones just like the majority of businesses in Gillette need to do.

Employees of the store like, Gerald in the plumbing Dept. are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. As are several of the employees at the service desk. But the Store Managers last one and current. Never follow thru, with concerns about products or return phone calls as promised! Very poor customer service.

It was very good to be there

When i arrived i was welcomed.After i had loaded my wood cart i was directed to customer service, where i needed to be for other product purchase. Even tho there was a delay in getting enough help to load my product, the gal at the desk was very friendly and courteous.

Always had great service. Store is clean and well stocked. The service is unmatched though. When they didnt have something in stock they got me the floor model with a discount.

Weve been waiting for our freezer we ordered for 3 weeks now when they told us 2 weeks at the most. Tried to call about it and was treated like garbage because she was helping someone else. Said she would call me back but didnt even take down my number or ask how the name on order was spelled. Weve gone to home depot for all our renovations on house so far but doubt we will go back!!!
