Ive been going to Wiessman Auto for over a decade. I dont trust my vehicles to anyone else. They dont try to sell you anything you dont need and dont overcharge you. And theyll give you options for repairs. Want to buy the parts and have them install them? No problem.

I brought my 2001 Honda CR-V in for service. I was very happy with the service I received and the friendly staff.

Needed my AC compressor replaced, took it to Weissman and just wow. Everyone I spoke with was super friendly, they got the job done far quicker than I was expecting, and for $200 less than anywhere else in the area quoted me for! If I need anything else fixed up, Ill be back.

Intrigued by the whimsical car that looked like it had been somehow ejected from within the building and was perched halfway out the building on the outside near the roof (see my picture), I was wondering — what kind of humorous people would be running a car repair shop like this one on Fond du Lac Avenue in Germantown?When I found out it was an official vehicle emissions testing station for the state of Wisconsin, I would soon receive an answer to that question. I decided to drive my old car here for an emissions inspection required to renew my license plate. I encountered some of the friendliest people I’ve ever met at a car repair shop. They took care of my testing, and the car passed with flying colors within just a few minutes.They were friendly over the phone when I called ahead, inviting me to come in anytime and quickly told me their hours, which extended all the way to 7 PM (Monday-Friday). Now, I’m going to stop by there with my car the next time it needs servicing, because these friendly people immediately instilled my trust. Highly recommended.

I got to drop my car off and it was fixed in a couple hours. Explained everything to me and got me back on the road. Great service!

Very helpful, been cycling trucks in and out for oil changes for a couple weeks now, they give accurate estimates on time and cost and go out of their way to help you out with any other issues youre having.

Even though they were very busy, they spent quality time assisting us. They offered to help in numerous different ways before we found a solution. Good people here. Took in my S10 truck to have a drivetrain sound diagnosed and they cared about getting me the answer not charging me of my money. Heard multiple references from friends to go here, I am definitely a satisfied customer and will return when more vehicle issues arrive. Weissman offers quality care. Despite it being an incredibly simple job, I didnt have the time to install a cat-back exhaust on my Jeep Wrangler myself when I got the parts in so I called this local shop which Ive driven past 100s of times.They were incredibly friendly and helpful over the phone and, due to Covid-19, instructed me on how to drop it off and leave a note in the vehicle with what needs to be completed. I typed up a note regarding installing the Cat-back exhaust and having to source a 2.5 pipe to connect the Cat to the new exhaust upper I had installed the week prior as well as to tighten the parking brake while they were under there.The tech (I think) was very nice about calling me regarding sourcing the pipe but when it had been quite a few hours since then and I called in about the status so I could plan a ride to pick it up. They were waiting on a new exhaust hanger they ordered even though I had one in the back with all the other parts. Whether it fell under a seat or how it got missed, Im not sure.It sounded great when I picked it up but quickly noticed two things after driving home: 1) a new rattle under the Jeep and 2) the exhaust tip at a weird angle, hitting my bumper, which I thought were one and the same at the time until I took the time to inspect it and here is where the two star review comes in:The rear hanger was pushed back as far as it could go instead of, you know, hanging, meaning there was too much connecting pipe, and the rattle itself was actually coming from the Catalytic converter being pressed against/bouncing on my transmission skid plate below it! (Also, the parking brake was never tightened, as requested - it still rolled on slight slopes and no adjustment could be seen on the bolt itself but whatever.)This was very simple job with minimal effort required with the right tools.So why didnt you take it back in to have them fix their own work instead of type up this long review?Great question!1) because they already screwed up a simple job the first time so the trust is gone, and 2) it took me 1.5 hours to rip it all apart and cut the connecting pipe to the right length at home to set the Cat at the right height (2 off the skid plate, by the way) and have the hangers hang the exhaust properly. The same time I would have spent calling Weissman, explaining the situation, and figuring out another ride and being without my Jeep for another day.Finally, theyre certainly nice enough people over the phone but my frustration is that had I just waited and done it myself, I would have saved the money after having to re-do it myself anyway.They have a lot of high reviews, so take my situation for what its worth. I wont speculate as to why this happened, but unfortunately it did.

I need a DMV test to renew my license. I called and was given a time that was convenient with my schedule. When I arrived they were very prompt and got it done very quickly. They understood my concern for social distancing and had a bench outside where I could wait. They were very professional and pleasant. I would nightly recommend them.

I have always had excellent service here and such a friendly group of people that work there. I needed a headlight replaced but couldnt do myself because the truck I have the entire grill needs to be removed to replace the headlight. I am SO GLAD that I found this place after one mechanic at a different shop told me nothing was wrong with my car even though you could noticeably smell gasoline and I hadnt filled up the tank in a while. At this shop they were able to take care of me the same day I called to see if they had an opening. They reassured me I wasnt crazy and that my car WAS leaking gas. Also I love that they provide transportation while your car is getting worked on . The two drivers I had were VERY nice and made it a comfortable ride even though they were strangers to me. I appreciate this company and the employees who work hard to make sure you are taken care of.

Got my emissions test done here. They were friendly and way going.

Excellent, family-owned auto repair shop. They do Emissions Testing without needing an appointment. They work quickly to get your car back to you in the event you need to leave it there for an extended time, but dont have loaner cars that Im aware of. They are fair in pricing and suggested repairs - they will tell you if its a necessary repair or something you can hold off on repairing and for how long. All the work they have done on my car has been high quality. I had bought a used car about 4 years ago now and it had a leak so every time it rained, the inside of my car got flooded. They tried to re-create the flooding to determine how to fix it, even taking it through a car wash. They found the problem and fixed it - no problems since. In fixing the leak problem, they also fixed the reason why I kept finding broken glass throughout my car. Very friendly, knowledgeable and experienced. This is the only shop I trust my car to.

DO NOT GO HERE!Had a set of tires put on my wheels I had just gotten powder coated. I explained to the counter person that I wanted extreme care taken so that the wheels werent scratched or scuffed during mounting and balancing. When I received the wheels and tires, there were deep gouges in the paint from their tire machine on the inside of the rim, visible from the outside face. They had attempted to cover up the damage on one of the wheels with flat black paint (see picture in Weissman Citysearch profile), on satin black wheels and did not tell me this upon pick up. Very noticeable, very underhanded. The counter man, Jim, admitted it was the technicians fault but Rick, the owner, would only refund the money paid for mounting and balancing, he refused to pay the $400.00 it will cost to redo powder coating, plus $50 to have tires removed again. Rick said Maybe if this were a high end wheel from a Lamborghini I could do something. So, apparently you need to be wealthy and drive a $300,000 car to get proper quality service here. Rick didnt stop there, including condescending statements like is this for a SHOW car? Rick also said that the type of damage was unavoidable, which is untrue and verified by two other national tire shops I called. He was given a chance to correct the situation, and opted not to. Never again will I use this shop

Went to Weissmans because my brake lights didnt work, and an oil change place said the screws were rusted, and I most likely need a new assembly. Dillon not only got the screws out, he diagnosed the problem, changed the bulbs, put new screws in and I paid much, much less than I was expecting. If I COULD GIVE A 0, THAT IS WHAT IT WOULD BE. THEY CAN NOT FIX LUXURY CARS, THAT IS FOR SURE. THEY CHARGED ME $300.00. NOTHING FIXED. I HAD TO TAKE IT BACK BECAUSE WHEN THEY SAID IT WAS FIXED, THEY SAME THING HAPPENED. THEY TOLD ME A DEFECTIVE PART WAS INSTALLED, THEY HAD TO REPLACE THAT, THEN THE SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN. THEN THEY TELL ME THEY CAN REFUND ME, BUT THEY WOULD NEED TO PUT BACK THE OLD PART. THIS REPAIR WAS OVER 3 WEEKS AGO, WHO KEEPS THE OLD PART? WHEN I GO TO PICK UP MY CAR THAT STILL IS NOT FIXED, I ASKED TO SEE THE OLD PART, I GET A RESPONSE BACK WELL I WOULD NEED TO DIG IT OUT... WHAT A JOKE OF A BUSINESS. I TRUELY HOPE KARMA COMES BACK TO BITE YOU IN THE A_ _. EVERYONE I KNOW IN THE AREA I WILL TELL TO NOT WASTE THEIR TIME OR MONEY. QUITE SIMPLE, FRAUD.

Had a good experience with Weissman auto until recently.I spent between $600 and $700 there trying to get the car to run smoothly and erase thee check engine light from coming on,Upon picking up the car the engine light was still on but they said I was mainly there just to get the car running right..I left it there one more day and came in the next morning to pick it up and the battery was dead.Upon further communication I was told it was my starter.I decided to fix it myself . Replaced the battery .Starter was never an issue.Oh yeah, the check engine light is still on.Very unprofessional .Will not go back.Wish the owner would have been there .Nice guy from the few time Ive met him.

Quick and easy emissions test

Ive been here twice and each time Ive always had good customer service. First time I got my oil changed and the second time I got my bumper repaired. Their rates are inexpensive, which is why I like this auto place.

We broke down across the street from Wessam on Sunday. A local pointed out the auto shop. We left our keys and a note. The next day when we called at their opening hour they were already all over it. We did have to wait a bit to get the repair done as the alternator belt and pulley fell off so a new alternator had to be delivered but the experience was pleasant and we would use this mechanic again. We were happy to not get the run around and that they fit us in without question. The pricing was reasonable and we were given the warranty for our new alternator.

I have been searching for a mechanic for awhile now, after some rather negative experiences I think this is it. My car had been driving extremely poorly, lurching, unstable tires, generally making me feel extremely unsafe while driving it. Earlier this week I took it into another shop in the area where I was told there was nothing wrong with it.I then did a google search for other nearby shop and came up with Weissman Auto. I took my PT Cruiser in and the incredibly friendly owner, Rick, was great. He figured out that the nothing wrong was actually a lot of fairly serious issues with my axles, my engine mount, and a seal into my transmission. While I waited the wonderful receptionist gave me a ride to where I needed to go and picked me up when my car was ready. The job was done quickly and was very close to the estimate he gave me initially($20 more than quoted) which is better than I have gotten elsewhere where the estimate sounds reasonable and ends up costing far more. They were thorough, great, and I am much much happier with my car now that it is no longer lurching or giving a sense of general impending doom.Overall a great experience and I will absolutely go back the next time I need work done.

Last work included lowering my Silverado, front and rear, then going through a laundry list of services and detail items. Ryan went down the list, checking every box, found and repaired other items discovered. I could not be happier with the work done, customer service, price, or end result. We have had emissions tests done there, and have had fuel pumps, drive belts, wheel bearings, full brake jobs and other work done on both of our vehicles there. Hi, my family and I have bringing our vehicles to Weissmans auto for years.I was a supporter of another local place here in Germantown, mostly out of habit That place, it always felt like you were bothering them, when you came in.Decided to try Weissmans, and the rest is history.The staff is really professional, and they not only take the time to listen,they treat you and your vehicle with respect. They always check with you before proceeding on a job, for your approval, and they fix whatever the issue is.Trust is not given out freely, it is earned. That being said, I wont go anywhere else. If you like mediocre service, and being treated like anumber, well, stay where your at. Otherwise, stop in, meet them, andat the end of the day, you be glad you did.PS, they have soda and snacks!

I have gotten my ML350 fixed here several times over the past few years and few they have given me an honest assessment of what I should actually have done compared to their Mercedes counterparts who look to make as much cash on each transaction. On the flip side, I have brought our 2005 Jetta there for a check engine light and when the repair was to expensive for the cost of the vehicle I still get charged an 80 dollar diagnostic fee. (Free at Advance Autoparts and other places I have been a long term customer at)

I was an out of towner on this snowy Halloween and my windshield wiper broke. I pulled in the parking lot a quarter-mile from where it happened and he had me on my way in about five minutes and he said no charge!! What a guy!
